Canva often feels quite rigid because you are mostly limited to filling and adapting existing templates. The interface is essentially a simplified version of PowerPoint, but with less flexibility. Newer AI tools such as Slaide.de can already generate complete, better-looking presentations automatically, much faster, and even export them directly to PowerPoint. Canva solves the problem of making design accessible to non-designers. It significantly reduces the time needed to create professional-looking presentations, documents, and social media content through templates and an intuitive editor. It has been valuable for quickly producing polished content. However, as AI-native tools have matured, I now prefer solutions that generate entire presentations from scratch instead of requiring me to adapt templates manually. Features like the background remover, premium templates, additional storage, and brand kits allow users to create more professional and unique designs faster. I appreciate that all the icons are available to me, and I just have to type the word in the search box to find what I need. For example, when searching for my LinkedIn banner, I typed 'laptop with coffee,' and I got the exact visual I was looking for. The initial setup of Canva was very easy, with just a Google sign-in. My favorite thing about Canva is not the most discussed aspect of it; its brand kit and collaboration options. The possibility to configure entity-specific brand colors, fonts, and logos eliminates inconsencies in design with no additional work and then real time collaboration makes it a breeze to work with except it is working with a design program rather than Google Docs. The magic resize tool easily turns a poster into a social media post or presentation slide I also love the magic resize tool, which would instantly adapt a design to many formats so that it would take a few seconds to convert a poster into a social media post or presentation slide. These less-mentioned features take me about a gazillion steps further than Canva should be a professional design suite and not a drag-and-drop editor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Canva? Canva is that you have a lot of templates and items but they can even have a generic feel since other people use those elements too and make it harder to do something different or original. They address the challenges of using design skills and cumbersome software to come up with any professional standards of visual representation. It helps me by providing access to ready-to-use templates and brand kits as well as collaboration tools that organic and grey molecules with reactive intermediates save time and guarantee the design consistency and create everything, including social media posts and presentations easily and rapidly, without any knowledge of graphic design. I use Canva for Social Media Content and quick image design edits. I love the templates and ideas it provides, which save me the hassle of coming up with new ideas for quick designs. The ease of use makes my work smoother. I really enjoy using the templates and the ability to edit images I already have, making small changes or adding text overlays or resizing them. I love Canva’s intuitive interface and its ease of use, making it incredibly simple to pick up. The auto-align feature intelligently assists in precise placement of images and UI components, which is impressive. The vast number of templates available allows anyone to create professional-quality content quickly, regardless of skill level, which is a significant advantage. I also find the content creation suggestions extremely useful, even though many are behind a paywall. I am not fully convinced by Canva Code since there are other AI models that perform better. Too many features are locked behind a paywall, making it difficult to access a broader range of tools without additional cost. I would appreciate if some of these locked features were made available for free during special occasions like weekends or through sales. Additionally, while I was initially solving a lot of problems using Canva, my reliance on it has decreased over time, indicating limitations in ensuring continued engagement.
