What do you like best about Camtasia?

It’s pretty intuitive and easy to use, and it feels less complicated than some of the other software I’ve tried in the past. Overall, the interface is straightforward, which makes it simple to get started and keep using without much hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

I honestly haven’t noticed any downsides so far. It works really well with Audiate, too, and it’s easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Setup, Great Value, and Delivers the Videos We Need"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

I think it is quite easy to pick up and set up. It has all the key functions I was looking for and worked well. It was reasonably priced, and we were able to use it to produce the videos we wanted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

Right now, we are using other AI tools instead of the native tool to do audio generation. Camstasia's tools are not meeting that front yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Professional Videos with Unique Features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

I love Camtasia's cursor effects, like the smooth cursors and click effects. I think these cursor-related effects are unique to Camtasia and make my life easier by saving time on animations that would otherwise take weeks to animate manually. I also find that creating professional-looking video explainers is much simpler without having to keyframe everything. The initial setup of Camtasia was very easy for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

I kind of wish if it was possible to make custom transitions, but hey, you can't have a quick and easy video editor with billions of sliders too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Convenient All-In-One Video Tool with Some Limitations"
3/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

I use Camtasia for editing videos at work for marketing. It's really handy as an all-in-one platform with camera, teleprompter, and editing software. I appreciate the convenience and ability to film and edit video all in one workspace. Not being in the tech or editing space, I like that I can use only one software instead of downloading and leveraging multiple software packages. The initial setup of Camtasia was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

The editing software is fairly limited at least for the package I have. There are limited fonts and difficulty with erasing background. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Impressive AI Transcript Editing Makes Video Edits Clean and Seamless"
5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

The new AI feature in Audate is really impressive. It lets me edit a video by deleting words directly from the transcript, which makes the whole process much easier and keeps everything in sync with the video. The removal of filler words and silence is amazing, and it helps the edits feel clean and seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

The effects still feel like the old ones, and I’d like to see a few new options added to better support modern video editing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Exceptionally User-Friendly Platform with Powerful, Well-Organized Features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

The best part I love about this platform is the user friendliness of its interface. This platform indeed covers all needs to make a good and high quality media to effectively address the detailed needs required for communicating with the targeted population. Its features are organized. Frankly saying it makes user feels that all needed buttons are there at the right place with just a click away to customized our need. Its ability to easily integrate our voice in the video makes this media to be easily customized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

I have very less dislike about this platform but I wish that the pricing was a little bit lower. I also wish that camtasia Audiate also came as a single package with the Camtasia installation file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Decade of Excellence with Camtasia"
5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

I appreciate the amazing cost and balanced set of features Camtasia and Audiate offers. It provides just the right amount of capabilities necessary for my work, mainly focused on screen and video capture, without overwhelming me with unnecessary features. This helps me stay efficient without feeling bogged down by too many complexities. I value that despite being feature-packed, Camtasia has managed to maintain simplicity and usefulness. Additionally, the whole Camtasia suite stands out for its ease of use, with an initial setup that is both straightforward and intuitive, making the learning curve virtually non-existent. This ease considerably enhances the user experience by allowing me to focus on creating and editing videos smoothly. Camtasia has continually improved over the decade I've used it, becoming faster, more reliable, and more useful, which reflects its commitment to consistent advancement and reliability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

Every once in a while, when I'm working on a large project, Camtasia can get slow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Video Editing for Customer Demos"
5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

I find Camtasia easy to use, which is great for tasks like customer demonstrations and training videos. The editing features are particularly useful, making it easy to cut and delete sections of the video that aren't meaningful. The initial setup of Camtasia was also easy, which is a big plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

I don't really use any of the advanced features. I haven't found the backgrounds to be significantly helpful. I would like a function to speed up the final finished product so I could speed it up to 1.1 or 1.25. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive, Easy-to-Use Video Editing with Pro Features"
5/5
What do you like best about Camtasia?

I really like using Camtasia because it's very user-friendly, very easy to use, with a very short learning curve. It's easy to pick up and start using very quickly without much of a hassle. The interface is intuitive, so you can just start using it. If I want to do fancier or cooler things, there are options available to really up my game. I can learn about those and do some professional-looking editing as well. I like having a lot of different options and also the option to pull in other types of media easily, which is very useful. The initial setup is very simple and easy, and you can just start using it straight away. I've recommended Camtasia to lots of people because I think it's a great product, very user-friendly, and I enjoy using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

One thing that Camtasia does not have is AI voice overs, so I need to create those for my videos pretty often in another software like Storyline. It would be nice if Camtasia had more options like icons, so I didn't have to make them in Canva and bring them over. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive and Powerful Video Editing for All Levels"

What do you like best about Camtasia?

I like that Camtasia is user-friendly and very intuitive, which doesn't require very specialized skills to use. My favorite part is how quick it is to go from a recording to a polished result, and how much control I have over the effects I can use. Their recording software is very powerful, but easy to use. I also appreciate that there was no setup needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Camtasia?

sometimes there are some effects that I would like a bit more control over, particularly when adding overlays, arrows, etc Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
