Read and follow the steps. Something I find very helpful is the ability to send test emails to your own personal email that basically show what you're going to be sending to your main audience. Another feature that's brilliant is how they provide templates (not only online editable templates but also downloadable HTML templates for you to edit) for the email designer to pull apart and make their own. It means you don't have to start from scratch every single time you send an email, even if you're a designer wanting a very custom result. **What do you dislike about Campaign Monitor?** With any new system, you have to get your head around where things live within its website. Also, for a while the UX design was outdated however they seem to have updated that recently. Also, send lots of test emails to make sure that you're doing the right thing. You can run trials with this software like AB split testing (which is where you email a test case to 2 groups of people and the leading response get's emailed to the larger group).
