It also has functionalities around extracting large set of datas into excel for review and validation.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Nasdaq Calypso?**

From my experience best features of Calypso platform are:
-high performance
-flexibility (could be quite easily adjusted to the needs of the organisation)
-ability to offer automatic solutions for complex manual operations
-support from the vendors if necessary

**What do you dislike about Nasdaq Calypso?**

The main downside during my work was that system got overloaded once in a while which resulted into significant delays in the workflows.
However, in most of the cases, Calypso platform was working fine after the restart. The only issue here was waiting till the queue of uprocessed operations gets processed (could take up to an hour).
Another drawdown in my region is that there is a lack of experienced Calypso programmers.

**Recommendations to others considering Nasdaq Calypso:**

I am not sure about the costs, since I was just the end-uder of Calypso platform. But as an end-user, I could recommend using Calypso Platfrom, as it is very adjustable and reliable

**What problems is Nasdaq Calypso solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Calypso Platform was used for the Back Office purposes (such as trade matching and settlement) and for Collateral management.
The main benefit that I realized was the flexibility of the platform: me as a user could draw up any technical requirements for automatization of manual processes and in-house Calypso programmers quite easily implemented them into production environment.
Comparing Calypso to other systems, I should note, that it is a very cleaver system that could propose different solutions for any kind of processes.
I know for sure that some banks are using it as a front-office system for trading.
