App connectivity is crucial on a Kubernetes-based environment, and Calico does a beautiful job setting up the same. I faced a few errors, like pod readiness errors and ingress-related issues. I had to spend a lot of time understanding the problem and getting to the root cause to fix it. But I guess it this natural for any new product to explore and appreciate if there is a known issue community for Calico to get quick clues in problem fixing. The best thing about Calico is its simplicity. It works at L3 and has no encapsulation overhead, making it an efficient and a very scalable networking solution for containers. Our client needed a container networking plugin for their Kubernetes cluster which should be highly scalable, easier to debug and minimum networking overhead.
