## Cal.com Reviews
 ### 1. Flexible API and UI/UX That Beats Calendly, but Very Poor and Unprofessional Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Loh Y. | Martech Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

The flexibility of their API call, and how well documented they are. The UI/UX is also better than Calendly or other booking tools in my opinion

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Their support is bad. There is a recent webhook issue with their API and the call identifier was not passed from their end. I've raised and followed-up with the issue multiple times. There is no follow-through on the matter and updates on whether the issue is resolved.

As you can imagine, the call identifier is important for me to use in my downstream automation and without that, everything breaks. The team is not professional in resolving the issue for me or know the severity of it all.

When followed-up again, their reply to me was "Can you test it out now?" or "These things take a bit of time but we will update you as soon as we line it up. It's been 19 hours since I reported the issue".

And I had to be the one who proactively followed-up with them. Until now I still did not get an updated.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Flexible scheudling needs for my team

 ### 2. Ease of Use, but Mobile App Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacqui P. | Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I like the ease with which I integrated Cal.com into my website, allowing me to simply choose the days and times I can be available, as well as organize vacations. The fact that I don't receive spam and the company doesn't send me many messages makes me feel that my data is not a product. The positive experience continues with the setup, which was very simple, without any issues. I also appreciate that Cal.com operates autonomously, without the need for third parties, which greatly facilitates scheduling meetings directly through the site.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Since the last update of the mobile app, it no longer works in Europe and only tries to access cal.com instead of cal.eu, where I have my account. This prevents me from using the app, and it seems they are being slow to fix something that seems simple to me.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cal.com to schedule meetings with clients in Europe, which eases privacy concerns and eliminates the need to use American servers or other services. It is easy to integrate into my website and choose appointment times.

 ### 3. Streamlined Scheduling with Excellent Customization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brittany C. | CEO and Founder, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I love how detailed the personalization and customization options are on Cal.com, with lots of advanced functions for availability and booking limits. I appreciate that it integrates with Stripe for payment processing, making it easy to collect payments upfront. It's impressive that the robust features I'm using are included in the free plan - I only have to pay for payment processing. It feels like a very powerful tool, and it doesn't cost me anything except for paid session transactions.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

There's nothing I don't like about Cal.com! Caveat that I haven't tried to use it with booking group sessions, so I haven't tested those functions.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com eases scheduling by eliminating email back-and-forth, lets me collect pre-work info from clients upfront, and includes payment options. It streamlines the appointment process, so I have the information I need before sessions.

 ### 4. Streamlined Meeting Scheduling with Minor Setup Hiccups

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vaishnav V. | Software engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

What I like most about Cal.com is how it combines simplicity for the user with flexibility. It makes scheduling extremely straightforward, like you just click some buttons, and your meeting is booked. Another aspect I really appreciate is how customizable the platform is. Cal.com allows you to define different event types, set durations, add buffer time, and many more things. What stands out even more is that Cal.com is open source, offering transparency that many software platforms lack.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

The setup of Cal.com is overwhelming, which could be improved. The documentation for different integrations and event configurations needs better clarity, as it takes time to figure out how to use them effectively. Also, I think the user interface could be more refined, especially when managing multiple event types or settings. It could be smoother and better.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cal.com to streamline meeting coordination, eliminating back-and-forth messages and reducing calendar conflicts like double bookings when managing multiple clients.

 ### 5. Effortless Scheduling with Open-Source Flexibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aryan P. | UI/UX Designer and Full Stack Dev, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

Cal.com has quietly become one of my most dependable tools. I love how it blended into my workflow without a big learning curve or forcing me to rethink everything. The interface feels calm with no unnecessary pop-ups or confusing settings. Setting up a scheduling link was easy and the clean look of the booking was satisfying. The flexibility to fine-tune details like buffers and automations without a tech headache is a big plus. The open-source nature makes it feel like it's always evolving with its community, which I appreciate for its transparency and reliability. It syncs smoothly with Google Calendar, aligns meetings well, and the integration with Zoom and Notion helps keep things organized. Automations like reminders operate seamlessly in the background, and the time-zone handling is flawless. The setup was surprisingly easy with a straightforward onboarding process. I especially appreciate the simplicity in setting different event types and letting people book without confusion, which is genuinely time-saving.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

A few things could definitely be smoother. The customization options are powerful, but some of the advanced settings feel a bit tucked away and take time to figure out. Integrations work well overall, but occasionally I wish the setup process was more guided, especially for first-time users. Also, the UI while clean could benefit from clearer labels or tooltips in certain places to reduce trial-and-error. Nothing major, but small refinements would make the experience even more intuitive.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com eliminates scheduling back-and-forth, prevents double-bookings, and structures my day. It offers a professional booking experience with deep customization and seamless calendar sync, saving time and stress.

 ### 6. Effortless Scheduling with Flexible Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vaishnav A. | Team Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I use Cal.com to schedule and manage meetings efficiently, and it really helps me share my availability with others. What I like most about Cal.com is how simple and flexible the scheduling experience is. The interface is very clean, so it's easy to create different event types, set my availability, and share a single link instead of going back and forth to fix a time. I really appreciate the automatic time zone handling, which makes it much easier to book calls with people in other regions without confusion. Cal.com's flexible scheduling lets me create different meeting types with custom durations and availability, keeping my calendar organized. These features save time. I use Cal.com with my Google Calendar and video conferencing tools like Zoom and Google Meet, and the integrations keep my schedule synced and make joining meetings quick and seamless. The initial setup was quick and straightforward, and connecting my calendar and creating my first booking link took only a few minutes. I would definitely recommend Cal.com because it's reliable, flexible, and saves a lot of time in scheduling.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

The initial setup can feel a bit complex for new users, and some advanced features could use cleaner guidance. Adding better onboarding and in-app tips would make the experience even smoother.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cal.com to efficiently schedule and manage meetings. It saves time by eliminating manual scheduling, preventing double bookings, and handling time zones automatically. The flexible scheduling and integrations with tools like Google Calendar and Zoom keep my schedule organized and make joining meetings seamless.

 ### 7. Highly Customizable, Time-Saving Scheduler

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nirmal B. | Retail Manager, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I use Cal.com to manage all my scheduling in one place which makes my workflow smoother, saves a lot of time, and keeps everything organized. I love how it allows people to book a time that works for both of us automatically, which avoids back-and-forth messaging. It also syncs with my calendar to prevent double-booking and adjusts for time-zone differences, solving a lot of scheduling headaches. The flexibility and customization of Cal.com are its biggest advantages, allowing me to control every detail—my availability, meeting types, workflows, reminders, and even the design of my booking page. I appreciate that I can tailor the booking flow to my needs, adapt to different types of work, and create a personal and professional booking page that matches my brand. Automations like customizable reminders and follow-ups reduce manual work, and integrations with my existing tools provide flexibility without changing my current setup. The tool feels like it adapts to me, not the other way around.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Even though Cal.com is powerful and flexible, there are a few areas where I think it could be even better: 1. Initial setup can feel overwhelming. Because the platform offers so many customization options, the first-time setup can take longer than expected. A more guided, step-by-step onboarding could make the process smoother for new users. 2. Some advanced features require more clarity. Features like workflows, routing forms, or complex automations are great but sometimes need better explanations or visual previews to help users understand how things connect. 3. Mobile experience could be smoother. The mobile interface works, but some parts—especially settings and advanced options—are easier to manage on a desktop. A more optimized mobile layout would help users make quick updates on the go. 4. Booking-page speed with heavy customizations. When too many custom rules or embed options are added, the booking page can feel slightly slower. Better performance optimization for very customized setups would be great. 5. More detailed analytics. While basic analytics exist, deeper insights—like conversion rates, drop-off points, or booking patterns—could help users understand their scheduling flow better.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cal.com to manage scheduling in one place, avoiding back-and-forth messaging. It syncs with my calendar to prevent double-booking and adjusts time zones automatically, making my workflow smoother and keeping everything organized.

 ### 8. Flexible Scheduling with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** reaihero j. | operations manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

What I appreciate most about Cal.com is the freedom it offers to create a scheduling system that truly matches my workflow. Unlike many other tools that feel restrictive, Cal.com allows me to personalize the booking process, appearance, and even the finer details, all without adding complexity or extra costs. The interface is straightforward and clean, and the integrations with my calendar and meeting applications function seamlessly, which really cuts down on unnecessary back-and-forth. I also value that useful features aren’t hidden behind paywalls, so I can make full use of the platform without being pressured to upgrade. All in all, it’s a flexible, modern solution that genuinely helps me manage my time.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

One thing I find frustrating about Cal.com is that parts of the interface still come across as somewhat disorganized. Some settings are more difficult to locate than I would expect, and I often have to click around to figure out where everything is. The setup process could definitely be smoother, particularly for users who aren’t familiar with customizing tools. The mobile experience could also use some improvement; certain layouts don’t adapt well, and it doesn’t always feel as polished as the desktop version. While none of these issues are deal-breakers, they do make the platform feel less intuitive than it should be.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com solves the constant back-and-forth of scheduling. Instead of juggling messages, checking availability, and manually sending meeting links, everything is automated. It creates time slots, syncs with my calendar, and sends out confirmations on its own. For me, that means fewer interruptions and a lot more clarity in my day. It keeps my schedule organized, reduces double-bookings, and makes it easy for people to book time without confusion. Overall, it saves me time and helps me manage my workload more smoothly.

At BahiyaTech Solutions, we manage a high volume of client and internal meetings, and Cal.com has helped us organize this work more efficiently. I like how the shared team scheduling pages and round-robin assignment reduce the manual effort of distributing meetings. Custom booking forms also help us collect details before calls, which improves preparation and saves time. The integrations with our calendars and video tools work reliably, and the admin controls allow us to set consistent working hours and buffer times across departments. The thing I like most about Cal.com is how simple it makes team scheduling. The shared booking pages and automatic round-robin assignment remove a lot of manual work and make it easy for clients to book with any available team member. I also really appreciate how customizable the booking flows are. Being able to add our own questions, instructions, and reminders helps create a more professional experience for our clients. The calendar and video call integrations work reliably, and once everything is set up, the scheduling process runs smoothly without needing constant attention. One thing that works especially well for us is how quickly new team members can learn the platform. The setup is straightforward, and most features are easy to understand without needing technical knowledge. The automated reminders and confirmation emails also work smoothly, which reduces missed meetings. We also like the way Cal.com handles time zones for international clients, since it removes confusion about meeting times. Overall, the combination of automation, simplicity, and reliability makes the scheduling process very efficient for our teams.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

One area that could be improved is the visual customization of booking pages. Having more design options would help match the pages more closely with our company branding. Another thing that could be more flexible is the ability to create more advanced automation templates without relying on external tools.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com automates our scheduling, reducing manual processes and preventing double-bookings. It improves meeting prep with custom booking forms and tracks availability instantly, making our team more efficient.

 ### 10. Effortless Scheduling, Automated Happiness

I like that it syncs directly with my calendar, prevents double-booking, and even automatically adjusts for different time zones without me doing anything. Setting up different types of meetings with Cal.com, from quick check-ins to strategy sessions and group calls, each with its own rules and availability, saves me a lot of mental load and keeps my schedule organized. The control it gives me over my time without complicating the setup is fantastic. I can design my availability exactly the way I want, with buffers, meeting limits, and custom workflows, which hardly need any adjustment once set up. I appreciate its flexibility in creating different booking flows for various conversation types. The automatic time-zone functionality saves me tons of time and removes the stress of doing manual conversions. Syncing all of my calendars with Cal.com has been fantastic, reducing the stress of double-booking myself and enabling easy personal activity, focus time, or travel planning. Its seamless integration with my calendar applications like Google Calendar and Outlook and video conferencing tools like Zoom and Google Meet is extremely helpful. Cal.com generates a video conferencing link each time an appointment is created, saving me time in creating and sending out follow-up links. Integrating with my email and messaging apps, I get reminders and updates automatically, which helps decrease the number of missed appointments. The transition of my team to Cal.com gave us more flexibility, allowing us to create custom scheduling flows without adapting to a rigid structure and integrating easily with other tools. Overall, Cal.com eliminates most of the hassles of scheduling.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Cal.com has a learning curve that can be intimidating, especially when creating complex events or workflows. Navigating configurations and understanding how settings relate to each other can be challenging. Better onboarding and clearer documentation would help new users. Additionally, some complex integrations and automated workflows may require extra steps or troubleshooting on occasion, impacting the simplicity of a set-it-and-forget-it philosophy.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cal.com to automate scheduling, preventing double-booking and resolving time zone issues. It reduces back-and-forth communication and allows me to customize availability with buffers and meeting limits. Cal.com keeps my schedule organized and feels like having a personal assistant, easing my mental load.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikhil B. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I started using Cal.com to organize my academic and extracurricular schedule, and it has made managing meetings much easier. I appreciate how easy it is to set up different types of meetings. Whether I need to schedule a group discussion, arrange a meeting with a faculty member, or plan sessions for the sports club, the platform makes it very simple. My availability updates automatically when I connect my calendar, which ensures I don’t get double booked. The interface is clean and beginner-friendly, which is helpful for students. The customization options, like adding questions for attendees or limiting the number of meetings, help me maintain a balanced schedule. Cal.com has helped me stay more organized and manage my academic and extracurricular responsibilities more efficiently. The automatic syncing with my calendar keeps all my activities in one place and the reminders ensure I don’t forget important discussions or deadlines. Being able to set different meeting types for various tasks helps me separate my college work from extracurricular activities. The setup was very easy and took just a few minutes to connect my calendar.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

One thing that could be improved is the mobile experience. Sometimes the interface feels a bit small or slightly slow on my phone, which I use most often as a student. A more optimized mobile view or app would make it even easier to manage my schedule on the go. A more responsive layout with larger buttons would make it easier to use on a small screen.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cal.com to organize my academic and extracurricular schedule, simplifying the process of managing meetings. It syncs with my calendar, updates automatically, and offers easy meeting setup, helping me stay organized and manage tasks efficiently, reducing confusion and saving time.

 ### 13. Centralized Scheduling That Transformed Our Team’s Efficiency

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Intakhab N. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

Cal.com has helped us address several scheduling challenges that previously slowed down our team and led to unnecessary confusion. In the past, coordinating meetings—especially those involving multiple team members or clients—was a tedious process. We often dealt with endless back-and-forth messages, mismatched calendars, and occasional double bookings. Thanks to Cal.com’s team features, these issues have been greatly reduced.

The most significant improvement has been the introduction of centralized scheduling. Now, every department operates within a unified system where availability, booking rules, and meeting types are all managed in one place. This has minimized errors and ensured that our entire organization stays in sync.

Cal.com has also addressed the challenge of distributing meetings fairly. With round-robin scheduling, new bookings are automatically assigned to the team members with the most availability, which helps balance workloads and speeds up our response to customers.

Another advantage is the platform’s collective scheduling for group meetings. Previously, finding a suitable time for everyone was a major hassle. Cal.com now automatically checks everyone’s availability, making it much easier to schedule group meetings without unnecessary delays.

Additionally, the platform enhances our branding, automates workflows, and integrates seamlessly with our calendars, video conferencing tools, and internal systems. This has saved us considerable manual effort.

In summary, Cal.com has eliminated scheduling conflicts, reduced the time spent on coordination, and streamlined appointment management throughout our organization.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

I don’t have many complaints about Cal.com, though there are a few aspects that could use improvement. The customization options, while extensive, can sometimes be overwhelming for new team members who aren’t very technical, making the initial learning curve a bit steep. In addition, although the integrations generally function well, setting up certain advanced automations can require extra steps or additional documentation to get everything working correctly. The dashboard itself is quite powerful, but when managing multiple teams and event types, it can occasionally feel cluttered. A more streamlined interface or the addition of quick-access shortcuts would help make navigation smoother. Aside from these minor inconveniences, the platform is reliable and continues to get better over time.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We started using Cal.com as part of an effort to clean up our messy scheduling process, and honestly, it has made a noticeable difference. What I appreciated immediately was how easy it was to bring different departments under one system while still giving everyone the flexibility to manage their own workflows. Our sales, operations, and support teams all use it a bit differently, but everything stays connected under the organization dashboard.

The team scheduling features have become essential for us. The round-robin option is incredibly helpful, especially for customer calls. It automatically assigns meetings to whoever is available, so we don’t have to manually coordinate or worry about overlapping bookings anymore. For internal discussions, the collective scheduling feature saves a lot of back-and-forth emails. It checks everyone’s availability and picks a time that works, which is honestly such a relief.

On the admin side, the access controls and user management tools make things simple. We can update team members, monitor activity, and keep all booking pages consistent in terms of branding and structure. The integrations with Google Workspace, Zoom, and Slack also work smoothly without any extra effort from our side.

Overall, Cal.com has become one of those tools we rely on daily without even thinking about it. It’s reliable, customizable, and scales well with growing team needs. If you’re looking for something that helps different departments stay organized without adding complexity, this plan is worth considering.

 ### 14. Effortless Onboarding and Intuitive Scheduling Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kunal W. | Software Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I found it very straightforward to get started with Cal.com as a new user. The interface is clean and intuitive, which made setting up an event type and a booking page effortless. I also appreciated how quickly I could link my calendar and experiment with different scheduling options, all without any confusion.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

As a newcomer, I found that some of the advanced features, such as workflows and team settings, required a bit of time to grasp. It would be beneficial if there were more guided explanations or tips available for beginners within certain settings.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com streamlines the often tedious process of scheduling meetings by minimizing the usual back-and-forth. When I integrated it into my workflow, I noticed how it centralizes availability, automates confirmations, and simplifies booking for both internal and external participants. This not only saves time but also brings greater organization to scheduling, which is particularly valuable for teams that require regular coordination of meetings.

 ### 15. Cal.com’s Teams Plan Has Streamlined Scheduling Across Our Entire Organization

I like how Cal.com’s Teams and Organizations plan gives us centralized control over scheduling across the entire company. The ability to manage team availability, create shared event types, enable round-robin routing, and use detailed team analytics has made a huge difference in how efficiently our teams operate. The platform is flexible enough for sales, support, and internal operations to customize their own workflows while staying aligned under one organization dashboard.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

There are very few downsides, but one area that could improve is providing more granular admin-level reporting templates so managers can generate insights even faster. Sometimes new team members need a short learning curve to understand all the organizational features, simply because there are many powerful options. However, once familiar, everything works smoothly.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com solves our challenge of coordinating scheduling across multiple teams while keeping branding, workflows, and data centralized. The Teams and Organizations plan helps us automate routing, connect our CRM through API access, and manage group sessions easily. Unlimited event types and seamless integration with payment tools like Stripe and all major calendars. For teams, the round-robin and collective event features are highly effective for automating lead distribution and eliminating internal scheduling chaos.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

A significant drawback is the lack of a dedicated, native mobile application, which limits the ability to manage bookings easily on the go. While functional customization is strong, the visual branding options for the public booking page are basic.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com effectively eliminates scheduling friction and vendor lock-in by providing a unified, link-based booking system that respects availability across all my calendars. It solves the problem of pre-meeting admin by allowing me to collect necessary information upfront via custom routing forms. For our business, it maximizes efficiency by automatically distributing leads to the right team member, significantly boosting response times and meeting attendance rates.

**Official Response from Susan Moeller:**

> Thanks Filip! The pre-meeting admin decrease is really great. I'm happy that you are finding it useful!

 ### 17. Effortless Setup and Seamless Client Booking with Cal.com

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rehan R. | Product Designer & Developer, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

What I like best about Cal.com is how easy it is to set up and integrate into my workflow without any unnecessary friction.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Honestly, there isn’t much I dislike about Cal.com, but if I had to mention one thing, it would be that some of the more advanced customization options can take a little time to figure out at first. For example, setting up certain integrations or tweaking very specific booking rules isn’t as immediately obvious as the basic setup. Once you get the hang of it, it’s smooth, but there’s a small learning curve if you want to unlock all the advanced features.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com is solving one of the most annoying problems for anyone who works with clients: the endless back-and-forth of scheduling meetings. Before using it, I would spend a significant amount of time sending messages, checking availability, and trying not to double-book myself. It’s a surprisingly big time sink, and it often disrupted my workflow. With Cal.com, all of that is gone.

The embed feature is probably my favorite part. It works cleanly, loads fast, and looks like it naturally belongs on my site, not like a random widget taped on at the last minute. Clients appreciate how easy it is to book calls, and I appreciate that it keeps my schedule organized and conflict-free.

Overall, Cal.com is reliable, modern, and actually kind of fun to use. It feels like the rare scheduling tool that gets out of your way and just makes life easier. Highly recommended.

**Official Response from Susan Moeller:**

> Hey Rehan! Glad you are enjoying Cal.com. Thanks for the review, and I'm glad you like the embed function!

 ### 18. A powerful scheduling platform that simplifies team coordination

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rajesh M. | Founder, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I appreciate how well the Teams and Organizations features are structured. Being able to manage team availability, shared booking links, roles, and permissions in one place makes coordination much smoother. The collective and round-robin booking options are especially useful because they allow our clients to meet with the right team member automatically. The integrations with calendars, automation tools, and video platforms also work reliably, which reduces a lot of manual work on our end.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Some of the deeper configuration settings feel a bit technical for non-developers, especially when setting up advanced routing rules or custom workflows. A few areas in the dashboard could be more user-friendly, particularly for new team members who are not familiar with these tools. The initial setup takes time because there are many features to configure. Once everything is running, it is stable, but the onboarding experience could be made simpler.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com helps us streamline scheduling across our team. Before using it, we had issues with overlapping meetings, unclear availability, and time-consuming manual coordination. With the Teams and Organizations workspace, everyone’s availability syncs automatically, and clients can book with either the entire group or the next available member. This reduces communication delays and saves time. The automated workflows, integrations, and branded booking pages also support our business operations and help us maintain a more professional client experience.

**Official Response from Susan Moeller:**

> Really glad that Cal is streamlining your communications and helping your clients have a great experience! thanks for the review.

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

Cal.com has become an indispensable tool for me as a mining engineering student. I love how the platform simplifies the organization and management of my academic meetings and personal projects. The integration with Google Calendar is especially useful, as it allows me to receive automatic reminders and manage multiple activities from a clear and easy-to-use interface. Thanks to this, I can optimize my time and increase my productivity, focusing on my studies and projects without wasting time on long email chains. The ability to easily check the availability of professors and classmates reduces confusion and avoids delays in scheduling. Additionally, the platform is very intuitive, which makes it easy for me to schedule meetings quickly and without complications. I also appreciate that it offers affordable plans, perfect for projects that require agile and simple coordination, something fundamental in my training as a future mining engineer. Finally, I value that the initial setup was simple, especially for basic tasks like creating events and connecting my calendar, which allowed me to start using Cal.com efficiently from the very first moment.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Some aspects would be the management for new users, as scheduling meetings can be confusing for them. It would be useful to implement an interactive tutorial on the first accesses that explains the basic functions step by step.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cal.com to organize academic meetings and manage projects without complications, automatically syncing with Google Calendar for reminders. This optimizes my time by eliminating endless email exchanges, improving productivity and coordination in collaborative environments.

I'm Arpita, and as a Google Student Ambassador, I've been using Cal.com within my organization. It has been incredibly useful for simplifying the scheduling process. The platform is intuitive, making it easy to coordinate meetings. I would definitely recommend it to teams aiming to streamline their workflow.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

I'd say there's not much I dislike about Cal.com based on my usage. As a Google Student Ambassador using it in my organisation, I find it pretty smooth for scheduling meetings. If I had to pick something, maybe the only thing could be the learning curve for someone who's super new to scheduling tools like this. But overall, it's been a useful tool for us.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com solves the hassle of managing appointments and team schedules by providing an all‑in‑one scheduling tool that automates booking, reduces manual coordination, and integrates with calendars, which saves us time and cuts down on missed meetings.

 ### 21. Effortless Scheduling and Seamless Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arpit S. | Student Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I really appreciate how easy it is to set up multiple meeting types and integrate them directly with my existing tools and calendars. The open-source nature is a huge plus, offering flexibility and control that proprietary solutions lack. It makes scheduling across time zones seamless.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

While the core functionality is excellent, the user interface can occasionally feel a little cluttered or counter-intuitive on the administrative side. Also, the mobile experience sometimes feels less polished than the desktop version, requiring minor improvements for on-the-go management.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com is primarily solving the problem of manual, back-and-forth scheduling and the friction associated with coordinating meetings across different time zones.

This benefits me by saving significant administrative time that would otherwise be spent sending emails and checking availability. It provides a professional, branded scheduling link for clients and colleagues, leading to a much smoother and faster booking experience and reducing no-shows.

 ### 22. Intuitive Interface, But Setup Can Be Overwhelming

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** May L. | Marketing Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

Modern, intuitive interface. The routing feature is such a game-changer.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

The setup can be a bit overwhelming at first, especially with all the options and integrations. Some features feel slightly “developer-first,” so it can take time to find where to change certain settings or texts.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com removes the back-and-forth of scheduling by letting people book directly into my calendar with the right rules and time zones. It automates reminders and confirmations, reduces no-shows, and saves me a lot of admin time so I can focus on the actual meetings instead of organizing them.

 ### 23. Streamlined Scheduling for Dynamic Teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hriday B.

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I like Cal.com for the balance between its flexibility and simplicity. It provides strong control over scheduling rules and workflows but remains user-friendly for clients and teammates. The open-source approach, reliable calendar syncing, and automatic time-zone handling make it particularly effective for distributed teams. Its smooth integration with existing tools allows us to maintain our workflow efficiently. I really appreciate the team-based scheduling support, with features like shared availability, round-robin booking, and role-based access that streamline managing meetings across team members. Moreover, its reliability in calendar syncing and notifications ensures meetings run smoothly, saving us time and reducing confusion.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

While Cal.com works well overall, some aspects could be improved. A few advanced features and settings aren’t immediately intuitive, which can make the learning curve slightly steep for new users. Clearer in-app guidance, better onboarding flows, and more concise documentation would help teams unlock its full potential faster. Small UI refinements in certain areas could also improve overall usability. One area where Cal.com could enhance usability is in-app guidance. Step-by-step walkthroughs or tooltips during initial setup—especially for team scheduling, permissions, and advanced booking rules—would make onboarding smoother for new users. A centralized setup checklist could also help teams ensure nothing important is missed. From a UI perspective, clearer labeling for advanced settings and more consistent visual hierarchy would reduce confusion when configuring complex workflows. Improving search or filtering within settings, along with better contextual help links, would make navigation faster and more intuitive.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cal.com to solve coordination and scheduling challenges by eliminating lengthy email exchanges for meetings, preventing double bookings with calendar syncing, and handling time zones automatically. It reduces missed meetings, aligns availability, and keeps our workflow smooth.

 ### 24. Customizable, Easy-to-Integrate Scheduling with a Better UI Than Calendly

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Logan B. | Community Development Manager & Dealflow Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I feel that the user interface, the customizability, and ease of integration are better than Calendly.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

There are some features that are behind a paywall that seem like they would be standard issue.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scheduling meetings is much more straightforward, but more importantly, the automations and workflows around scheduling (availability, round-robin, etc.) are super helpful. Integrating with 3rd party automation software is pretty easy.

 ### 25. Effortless Scheduling, Saves Time

It's super easy to set up and took no time. I love how beautiful it looks, making everything appear really sleek. This aesthetic aspect helps because it makes the person more likely to actually go and pick a time, especially clients for my business.

 ### 26. Highly Customizable, Streamlines Scheduling

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I love Cal.com's high level of customization. It allows me to control almost every part of the booking experience, including meeting types, availability logic, integrations, reminders, and branding. I use it along with several other tools to streamline my workflow. It connects smoothly with Google Calendar to sync my availability in real time, and I also use Zoom for automatically generating meeting links. The integration helps reduce manual work and makes scheduling more reliable. I would rate it a 9 out of 10 as it is a powerful and flexible scheduling tool with great customization and solid integrations.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

While Cal.com works well overall, there are a few areas where I feel it could improve. The platform offers a lot of customization but this also means the initial setup can feel slightly technical, especially for users who are not familiar with workflow automation or advanced scheduling logic. A more guided onboarding or simpler setup wizard would help new users get started faster.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com solves manual scheduling and back-and-forth communication issues, prevents missed reminders, overlapping meetings, and inconsistent scheduling workflows.

 ### 27. Flexible Scheduling with Open-Source Control

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rana B.

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I love how flexible Cal.com is, allowing me to create different booking flows and customize questions, routing logic, and availability rules for each event type. It's great that it doesn't force a rigid structure and adapts to my workflow. The open-source nature gives me control and trust, knowing I can self-host if needed. The booking pages are clean and professional, reflecting well on my brand. Cal.com handles complex scheduling tasks gracefully, like round-robin and multi-person availability checks, making these effortless. The integrations work smoothly without needing constant monitoring. The time savings are incredible, giving me more focus time, and it beautifully scales with my needs.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

The initial setup of Cal.com can be overwhelming due to its high customizability, requiring users to dig through menus and documentation. The platform could improve with more guided workflows or an onboarding wizard. There are some limitations in workflow and automation, such as the desire for more built-in automation rules and deeper CRM integrations without relying on external tools. The plugin ecosystem can feel inconsistent, with some plugins not meeting quality standards or having compatibility issues. Teams with complex setups might experience slower loading times or sync delays. The UI/UX could use more visual clarity and modern styling, and the admin-side mobile experience can feel cramped, making some settings hard to manage. Notifications and reminders are functional but could benefit from more customization and branding control. Finally, documentation could be improved, as users have noted missing examples and incomplete plugin docs.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com eliminates back-and-forth scheduling, keeps my calendars in sync, manages different meeting types, automates reminders, boosts professionalism, coordinates team scheduling, and saves me time.

 ### 28. Highly Customizable, Reliable Scheduling Solution

The clean, intuitive interface is easy to use for both me and my clients. It integrates seamlessly with my existing tools like calendars, video conferencing apps, CRMs, and more, creating a unified workflow. The performance is solid without any significant glitches. The multi-calendar sync, timezone intelligence, team scheduling, and embedding scheduling widgets directly into websites make booking effortless. All in all, Cal.com stands out as a powerful yet user-friendly scheduling tool that I can control according to my needs.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

While Cal.com is powerful, there are a few areas that could be improved to make the experience even smoother. Some of the advanced customization options can feel a bit overwhelming at first, especially for new users who aren’t familiar with configuration-heavy tools. Certain integrations also require manual setup or extra steps that could be more streamlined. I’ve noticed that occasionally the interface feels slightly cluttered when managing multiple event types, and cleaner organization would help. Additionally, while the platform is highly flexible, some users might appreciate more built-in templates or simplified presets to speed up setup.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com streamlines my scheduling, eliminates double-bookings, and reduces email back-and-forth. It syncs my calendars, shows real-time availability, and automates reminders, saving me time and preventing errors. The ability to handle payments through Stripe during booking is seamless, reducing no-shows and saving me a lot of administrative time. Cal.com also adapts to different types of meetings with separate event types, each with its own settings and automations. The integrations with calendar, video meeting tools, and payment platforms drastically reduce scheduling errors. Overall, Cal.com feels more like a flexible scheduling framework that grows with my needs and is extremely valuable for my day-to-day work.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

While I really like using Cal.com, there are a few areas that could be improved. The first is the learning curve, because the platform is so customizable, it can take some time to figure out the more advanced settings. For simple use cases it's easy, but if you want to build complex workflows or automations, you may have to experiment quite a bit. Another area that could be better is customer support. While the documentation is helpful, sometimes I’ve had questions where I wished the support responses were faster or more detailed, especially when dealing with technical setups or integrations. Lastly, because the platform is powerful and evolving quickly, there are occasional small bugs or UI inconsistencies. Nothing major, but sometimes features feel like they’re still being polished, especially in more advanced modules or team-based scheduling.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cal.com to automate my scheduling, manage client bookings, and collect payments. It solves scheduling headaches by preventing double bookings and syncing with calendars. It handles time-zone differences and integrates with payment tools, reducing administrative time and miscommunication.

Another feature that really stands out is the meeting routing system, which automatically directs incoming bookings to the right team member based on availability, skill set, or priority, helping streamline our client onboarding process and reducing missed appointments. I have the ability to deeply tailor the booking workflow, embed the scheduler into my site, and utilize its robust API for custom integrations. The core features are exceptionally reliable, including multiple calendar syncing and support for various event types with specific durations and buffers. Cal.com's core philosophy of user sovereignty, enabled by its open-source foundation, offers ultimate control and adaptability. It provides a polished, powerful, and reliable core product, automating everything from booking to reminders. Its primary integrations like Google Calendar, Zoom, and Stripe are seamless, making the booking process effortless and automated. Overall, it transforms scheduling into a fully automated process, freeing my mental space and time for productive work.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Cal.com's primary drawbacks stem from the complexity of its powerful features. The initial setup has a steep learning curve that can overwhelm non-technical users. Advanced configurations, like complex round-robin rules, can be challenging to implement without intuitive guidance. The mobile app for managing bookings feels less polished and underdeveloped, especially for organizers, making it cumbersome to manage bookings on the go. Additionally, many community-built integrations and "Cal Apps" lack reliability and thorough documentation, putting the stability burden on the user. A more robust internal calendar management layer would improve reliability as Cal.com's availability can be affected by external calendar syncing issues. The self-hosting option introduces significant maintenance overhead for server updates and security, demanding a technical comfort level that not every user might have.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com eliminates back-and-forth scheduling emails, centralizes my calendar to prevent overbooking, and automates meeting logistics like confirmations and video links. It streamlines scheduling into a seamless, automated self-service process, saving me time and mental energy for productive work.

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

What I like most about Cal.com is how easily it fits into my daily workflow at work. I use it to schedule meetings and manage availability, and it has reduced a lot of time that we used to spend on back-and-forth messaging. I can set up different booking links based on the purpose of the meeting, and everything syncs automatically with my calendar so there are no double bookings. The reminders and automated confirmations also make the process smooth for both me and the people booking with me.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Sometimes it takes a little time for new users to understand all the settings and customization options. It’s not difficult, but there are many features, so onboarding could be a bit more guided for beginners.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com helps me avoid back-and-forth messages when scheduling meetings. People can book a time directly based on my availability, and it automatically updates my calendar. It has also helped prevent double bookings and saves me a lot of time during the week.

 ### 38. Empowering Open-Source Scheduling with Privacy Focus

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I love that Cal.com's open-source infrastructure-first approach provides a flexible backbone, making it more than just a scheduler. The free plan stands out because it offers unlimited event types and calendars, breaking the typical paywall for feature modes. The open-source core gives me ultimate data control, letting me self-host the entire platform for maximum security and compliance, which is a huge advantage over closed systems. This means I truly own my infrastructure. The real power of Cal.com is its ability to integrate everything seamlessly. I constantly use it with my core Google Calendar and Outlook to synchronize availability. For client calls, integrating with Zoom or Google Meet automatically generates meeting links, which is essential for smooth operations.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Cal.com's focus on power means the initial setup and user interface can feel more complex than simpler rivals, sometimes making things like custom workflows feel like a learning curve. For non-technical users, self-hosting can be challenging.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com eliminates time-wasting email back-and-forth with its unified calendar hub, providing data control and flexibility through open source.

 ### 39. Highly Flexible, Developer-Friendly Scheduling Solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ishan Jain D. | Team coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I really appreciate Cal.com for its flexibility and customizability. It's not rigid like many other scheduling tools, letting me tailor almost every part of the booking experience. I can create unlimited event types, set custom availability rules, embed schedules on websites, and even integrate payments or self-host if needed. Its open-source nature provides transparency and freedom, perfect for developers, freelancers, and small teams who want more control. The automation features are another standout. Automatic reminders, confirmations, routing bookings to team members, and automatic video-call generation help save time and reduce scheduling friction. These features make scheduling smoother, reduce manual effort, and help me stay focused on actual work instead of administrative tasks. Cal.com feels more adaptable and future-proof compared to traditional scheduling tools.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

The initial setup can feel overwhelming. Because Cal.com offers so many options—event types, routing logic, workflows, integrations—the onboarding process can be confusing, especially for non-technical users. A more guided setup or smarter defaults would make the first-time experience smoother. The interface could be more intuitive. Some settings feel scattered, and certain configuration menus require digging into multiple layers. A more streamlined UI or clearer navigation would help reduce setup time and make advanced features easier to use. Limited customization for the public booking page. While back-end customization is strong, the front-facing booking page has fewer design options. More layout choices, branding controls, and theme customization would make booking links look more polished and professional. Team scheduling features sometimes require fine-tuning. Features like round-robin or collective bookings work well, but they can feel complex to configure. Simplifying the logic or offering more visual explanations of routing rules would help teams adopt them faster. Mobile experience could be more optimized. Managing bookings or editing event types on mobile isn’t as smooth as on desktop. A more polished mobile interface (or a dedicated app) would improve on-the-go usability.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com streamlines scheduling by offering flexibility and customization, reducing the back-and-forth with clients. It automates reminders, integrates with my calendar and payment systems, and is adaptable to complex workflows, saving time and preventing double bookings.

 ### 40. Effortless Scheduling and Seamless Integrations with Cal.com

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Faisal A. | Admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

Cal.com stands out for its exceptional ease of use. Setting up different event types and linking my calendars was remarkably simple. The platform’s seamless integration with various tools, particularly Google Calendar, has made managing my schedule effortless. This has greatly improved and streamlined my booking process. I use Cal.com so often that it’s usually the first app I open.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

While the platform offers a solid core set of features, I feel it lacks some advanced customization options, particularly for designing branded booking pages that could enhance its professional look. Additionally, I've observed that Customer Support tends to respond rather slowly when addressing non-urgent matters.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using the Cal.com Teams/Organization plan has significantly improved our scheduling and workflow management at The Heritage Academy. As our team began to handle more client meetings and internal coordination, we realized the need for a dependable, unified system to manage multiple schedules without confusion. Cal.com's team scheduling features have made this process straightforward and highly efficient. Having the ability to view everyone’s availability in one place has saved us considerable time that we used to spend manually coordinating meetings.

The admin controls and user management tools are also extremely useful. I can easily assign roles, set permissions, and manage team members from a single dashboard. This not only enhances our organization but also increases the platform’s security for our team. Furthermore, the analytics provided in the Teams plan offer valuable insights into how our schedules are utilized, enabling us to plan more effectively and boost overall productivity.

**Official Response from Susan Moeller:**

> So glad you found set up easy with Cal.com. Thanks for the review!

 ### 41. Open Source Flexibility with Seamless Booking

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akash S.

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I use Cal.com to simplify my scheduling, allowing people to book meetings directly on my calendar without back-and-forth messages and it automatically handles time zones, availability, and buffers between meetings. It's really useful for setting up different event types like client calls, internal team meetings, interviews, or paid consultations. I appreciate its open-source nature, which means it can be self-hosted and deeply customized to match specific branding, workflows, and security needs. The integration with multiple calendars and tools is great; it keeps my availability in sync and reduces double bookings or missed meetings. Advanced features like booking limits and automated workflows make scheduling feel controlled rather than chaotic. Its API-first design and modular architecture are fantastic for scalability and building tailored booking experiences. I love that it connects with calendars like Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook, ensuring all bookings appear alongside other events and stay in sync. It also integrates smoothly with video tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams, automatically attaching meeting links to events. The cloud version’s onboarding flow is straightforward, guiding me through essential setup steps so I can start accepting bookings quickly.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Running the self-hosted version reliably can require technical expertise, ongoing maintenance, and sometimes commercial licensing for certain enterprise or payment features. Some users expect a fully 'free and simple' open-source experience and are surprised by the complexity and constraints of the real-world deployment. Initial configuration of integrations, event rules, and custom fields can take more time than with minimalist tools, and troubleshooting misconfigured bookings or integrations sometimes needs digging through settings. There are also occasional reports of UI friction and smaller bugs, which, while typically resolved, can interrupt scheduling flows until fixed. The learning curve for advanced event rules, workflows, or team settings can be steeper.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cal.com to simplify scheduling by letting people book meetings directly on my calendar with automatic time zone handling and buffers. It's useful for setting up different event types and coordinates team availability with round-robin features. Being open source, it offers customization and reduces vendor lock-in.

 ### 42. Streamlined Scheduling with Customization and Reliability

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ninja J. | Hr, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I love using Cal.com to manage and schedule my client meetings and appointments. The ability to automate bookings and share my availability easily helps me avoid the back-and-forth when setting up meeting times. I really appreciate the custom booking pages; they look professional and can be tailored to match my personal brand. This makes my booking page feel premium compared to generic scheduling tools. The integration with my calendar and other tools is seamless, ensuring my schedule is always up-to-date and preventing double-bookings. I also find the automated reminders crucial as they greatly reduce no-shows by notifying clients in advance without requiring any manual intervention from me. I am impressed by Cal.com's open-source nature, which provides transparency and flexibility, allowing the platform to consistently improve. Overall, it's a reliable and powerful tool for keeping my appointments organized and my workflow smooth.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Occasional booking glitches; sometimes booking links load slowly or fail to open for certain clients, which can create friction. Calendar sync delays; I occasionally face delays or mismatched time slots, leading to confusion or potential double-bookings. Limited mobile experience; the mobile interface feels less smooth, and navigating settings or editing availability could be more user-friendly. Workflow complexity; some advanced features require extra setup or technical knowledge. More templates & ready-made layouts are needed; it would be helpful to have more built-in templates for booking pages, workflows, reminders, and branding.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cal.com to schedule client meetings, automate bookings, and manage my workflow. It removes scheduling confusion, prevents double-bookings, and saves time by reducing the back-and-forth of setting meeting times.

 ### 43. Open-Source Flexibility with Powerful Scheduling Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adarsh P.

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I appreciate Cal.com being open-source, which lets me fully customize and self-host without being locked into a vendor. It’s great that I can seamlessly embed branded booking pages into my site or socials, and use APIs to create custom workflows. The smart scheduling rules are really helpful, with features like automatic buffers and daily limits that help prevent burnout and scheduling conflicts. I find the AI via Cal.ai that parses emails to book or reschedule autonomously to be very convenient. The deep calendar syncs with Google, Outlook, and Apple calendars are reliable and prevent double bookings, which is a big plus for me.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Cal.com's advanced features overwhelm new users, especially non-technical ones, requiring time to master organizational tools and customizations like event rules. Performance on a large scale is an issue as round-robin events with many team members load slowly, and complex queries can lag. Self-hosting demands technical skills for IP changes or maintenance, risking downtime if mishandled. Granular admin reports lack templates for quick insights, and the interface feels unintuitive for availability tweaks or viewing booked slots in public calendars. The free tier misses advanced personalization like custom booking pages.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com streamlines appointment booking and calendar management, eliminating back-and-forth emails and preventing double-bookings across calendars. It syncs with Google, Outlook, and Apple, adjusting for time zones and generating video call links, making it ideal for managing 1:1 meetings and group events.

**Official Response from Susan Moeller:**

> Thanks for the review. I'm glad that you like using Cal.ai. We're pleased about that feature too.
I appreciate the feedback about people being overwhelmed by features. We are actively working on simplifying that process.

 ### 44. Effortless Scheduling with Flexible Customization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** RAJ G.

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I like Cal.com because it solves the headache of scheduling by removing the back-and-forth of finding a time that works, allowing people to book directly based on your availability, and handling reminders, automatic time-zone detection, and integrations with the calendars or tools you already use. I appreciate how flexible and customizable it is compared to other scheduling tools. You can design booking pages that match your brand, create different types of events with unique rules, and integrate it deeply with the tools you already use. It provides full control over availability, workflows, and automations, making it work well for solo creators, businesses, or teams. The open-source nature is a big plus too, as you're not locked into a closed system and can adapt it as your needs grow. Plus, it's powerful without being complicated, which makes scheduling feel effortless. I also enjoy how Cal.com works best when paired with other tools, especially with integrations into calendar apps like Google Calendar or Outlook and video meeting platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams. It even integrates nicely with CRMs or automation tools like Zapier, making it a full workflow system that saves time and keeps everything organized.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

A few areas could definitely be smoother in Cal.com, even though it’s already strong overall. The setup process can feel a bit overwhelming at first because there are so many options, so a more guided onboarding or clearer presets would help. Some of the advanced customization features also require technical knowledge, which might be a hurdle for non-technical users. The UI is powerful but occasionally feels dense, especially when managing multiple event types or workflows. And while the integrations are good, certain third-party connections could be more seamless or offer deeper controls.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com mainly solves the headache of scheduling, removing back-and-forth communication, letting people book directly, handling reminders and time-zone detection, and integrating with calendars. It saves time, reduces missed meetings, and makes scheduling smoother and more professional.

 ### 45. Flexible Scheduling with Seamless Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arbaz K.

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I like how Cal.com makes scheduling calls, meetings, and internal scheduling much easier for us. The flexible platform lets us set roles, availability, booking rules, and workflows, helping to avoid double bookings and confusion. The shared team calendar is great for seeing who is free or busy. The automation features, like reminders and confirmations, help reduce no-shows and keep communication clear. Integrations with tools like Zoom and Google Workspace save us time since everything works together. I love that it helps us stay organized and feel more professional in our scheduling. I also like how flexible it is, allowing us to create separate booking rules and workflows based on meeting types. The ability to set team routing rules to automatically send a call to the right team member is fantastic. These features make scheduling feel organized, smooth, and adaptable as we grow.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Even though Cal.com has been helpful, there are a few things that could be improved. One area is the learning curve. Some features are easy, but the advanced settings and workflows took us time to understand. A more guided setup or clearer examples would make onboarding smoother. Another thing is that sometimes certain integrations need extra steps before they work the way we want. Everything eventually works, but the process could feel more seamless. We also noticed that customization is powerful, but it sometimes means extra work when creating new meeting types. Having more ready-made templates for common use cases would save time. One more thing I would add is around the user interface. Everything works, but some menu paths feel a little hidden or require extra clicks. A more streamlined layout or clearer labels would make it easier for new users to find what they need without trial and error. It would also help if there was a simpler way to duplicate or edit existing workflows in bulk. When our team grows or our process changes, we sometimes have to update things one by one. A bulk-edit feature would save time. Finally, having more built-in tutorials or short walkthrough videos inside the dashboard would make the learning process smoother. Overall, these are small improvement ideas, not major complaints. The product already does a great job, and with a few polish updates, it could feel even more effortless.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com simplifies scheduling, saving us time previously spent on back-and-forth messaging. It prevents double bookings, manages time zones, and reduces no-shows with reminders. It organizes team availability and keeps everything synced with tools like Zoom and Google Workspace.

 ### 46. Powerful Scheduling Tool with Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yash K. | Academic Counsellor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I like how I can set my own availability, add different types of meetings, and integrate it with my calendar on Cal.com. Once everything is set up, it all works automatically, which means people can book a slot, and I receive a clean confirmation without any manual work. It feels very professional and saves a lot of time.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

One thing Cal.com doesn’t work as well for me is the initial setup — it can feel a bit complicated. There are many settings, integrations, and options, so it takes time to understand everything. Once it’s set up, it works great, but the learning curve could definitely be simpler. The main thing Cal.com could improve is its setup process. There are so many features and settings that the initial onboarding feels confusing. A simpler step-by-step setup wizard, preset templates for common meeting types, and clearer explanations of integrations would make the experience much smoother. They could also improve the mobile dashboard and add a more intuitive preview mode so users can quickly see how their booking page will look.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com solves scheduling confusion and automates meeting bookings. I set my availability, integrate with my calendar, and get confirmations without manual work. This saves time and feels professional.

 ### 47. Flexible Scheduling Tool with Robust Customization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Divyesh P.

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

Our organization adopted Cal.com's Teams/Organizations plan and it has quickly become one of our most valuable operational tools. I really like Cal.com's centralized team scheduling dashboard, which lets us manage availability across departments without switching between individual calendars. The ability to define roles, assign booking rules, and create shared event templates has significantly reduced the workload on our operations team. I appreciate the granular permission controls that still give each team autonomy over their own calendars. Cal.com's native integrations with tools like Slack, Zoom, and our internal CRM automatically sync and update meetings, nearly eliminating double-bookings and scheduling conflicts. The analytics tools in the Organizations plan are surprisingly useful for capacity planning, giving us clear insights into booking volume and team productivity. I am impressed with Cal.com's extremely customizable scheduling, open-source and self-hosting options, and developer-friendly APIs, webhooks, and plugins. The team scheduling features such as round-robin, collective bookings, and pooled availability are very useful, and I find the transparent pricing much simpler and more predictable compared to other SaaS scheduling platforms.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

1. Setup and configuration can feel complex. Because Cal.com is highly customizable and open-source, its setup—especially self-hosting—can be more technical than 'plug-and-play' tools like Calendly, with multi-service dependency setup (Postgres, Redis, etc.) and needing engineering help for deeper customization. 2. Documentation gaps. Some users feel that the docs don’t always cover edge cases or advanced configs, plugin development examples could be clearer, and self-hosting guidance can lag behind feature updates. 3. Occasional platform instability with new releases. Highly active open-source projects often move fast, leading to frequent changes that sometimes lead to regressions and new features debuting with minor issues. 4. UI/UX feels less polished compared to competitors. The interface feels more 'developer-centric,' with fewer small niceties and animations than competitors, and the admin dashboard could be more streamlined. 5. Marketplace quality varies. Since extensions/plugins can be community-built, some plugins feel incomplete, support levels differ, and quality control varies across contributions. 6. Learning curve for advanced automations. Webhooks, API flows, routing logic, and embed configs require technical skill, and some advanced flows lack step-by-step guidance. 7. Enterprise feature gaps. More refined user management features would help, as well as the need for deeper analytics or forecasting tools and SSO / SCIM setups can require extra tuning.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com solves cross-team scheduling chaos and eliminates double-bookings for us. It centralizes team scheduling, integrates smoothly with Slack and Zoom, and provides analytics for team productivity, all of which streamline operations and enhance collaboration.

 ### 48. Streamlined Team Scheduling with Cal.com

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samarth P.

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I love how Cal.com supports team-based scheduling with the shared availability feature, which combines all team members’ schedules into one unified calendar. This eliminates back-and-forth coordination and makes booking meetings almost instant. The routing options, like round-robin and group scheduling, are outstanding because they allow meetings to be assigned automatically and fairly, saving time and keeping workloads balanced. I really appreciate the admin dashboard in the Teams/Organization plan, which lets us assign roles, set permissions, and control access or modification of settings, bringing structure to our scheduling process. Customization is another highlight, as we can brand our booking pages, adjust workflows, and use automations to match our internal processes, giving a professional feel aligned with our brand. The analytics provide real value, offering insights into booking patterns, peak times, and team activity, helping us understand and improve our scheduling efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Cal.com works very well for our team overall, but there are a few areas where improvements would make the experience even better. One area is onboarding. Because the Teams/Organization plan includes advanced features like routing rules, workflows, and permission settings, new team members sometimes need extra time to understand everything. More guided in-app tutorials or walkthroughs would make the learning curve smoother. Another area that could improve is integration setup. The integrations work reliably, but some of them require a bit of manual configuration. Having more ready-made templates or simpler 'one-click' setup options would help teams get started faster. Lastly, while the analytics dashboard is useful, adding deeper insights—such as trends over longer time periods or more detailed breakdowns per team member—would make it even more powerful for decision-making. These are not major issues, but improving them would make Cal.com even more user-friendly and efficient for growing teams like ours.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com eliminates coordination confusion, prevents double-booking, centralizes admin controls, and offers analytics for better scheduling and productivity.

 ### 49. Flexible & Customizable Scheduling Solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pratul K. | Project Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I use Cal.com to streamline scheduling without the usual back-and-forth. It’s great for booking client meetings, internal team calls, and even personal appointments. The customization options make it easy to match my workflow and branding. I love how Cal.com prevents double-bookings by syncing all my calendars in one place. I also appreciate its customizable and flexible nature compared to other scheduling tools, as I can tailor booking pages, workflows, and integrations exactly to my needs. The open-source nature gives it a level of transparency and control that’s rare, making scheduling genuinely enjoyable. It connects well with my calendar apps, video meeting platforms, and task management tools, helping automate reminders, meeting links, and follow-ups, making scheduling feel more connected and efficient. We were looking for something more flexible and customizable, and Cal.com fit those needs better, offering more control over booking pages and workflows compared to our previous tool, Calendly.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

One thing that could be improved is the learning curve—some of the advanced customization options take time to understand. A bit more built-in guidance or templates would help. Occasionally, integrations need extra setup or troubleshooting. Ensuring permissions, API keys, or webhooks are set up correctly can take a bit more time than expected. It’s nothing problematic, just an area where clearer setup guidance could make the process easier.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com solves the hassle of coordinating schedules and eliminates endless email exchanges. It prevents double-bookings by syncing my calendars in one place, saving time and keeping my calendar organized effortlessly. Scheduling is faster, smoother, and more professional.

**Official Response from Susan Moeller:**

> Thank you for taking time to review Cal! Glad that you have found we can solve the problems you were having with your previous scheduler.

 ### 50. Streamlined Scheduling with Impressive Automation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Revanth R.

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I love Cal.com's strong automation features as they help us manage workflows, generate reminders, send follow-ups, and create intricate routing logic, which significantly decreases administrative time for our teams. I appreciate how Cal.com streamlines our customer service scheduling processes, allowing our sales, support, and onboarding teams to arrange client follow-up meetings, technical consults, and demonstrations without the need for back-and-forth communications. The automated routing and centralized scheduling dashboards optimize our entire scheduling process. The integration with tools like Zoom and Google Workspace, which automatically synchronizes calendars and ensures meeting details are uniform across platforms, is fantastic. I like the customization options it offers, providing greater flexibility for team-based workflows and the capacity to handle several teams, routing rules, and automated workflows in one location. The first setup was very simple, thanks to the clear UI, useful suggestions, and logical actions that aided in configuring team members, event types, and connectors.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

The team dashboard could be more user-friendly, despite Cal.com's strength. Some options in the Organizations plan are difficult to find. New team members might configure more quickly with a more structured grouping, like collapsible categories or a guided setup. A more simplified layout or faster shortcuts for frequently used settings would enhance the user experience.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cal.com to optimize scheduling by automating meeting setups, avoiding back-and-forth emails, and managing availability across teams. It centralizes scheduling, reduces missed appointments, and coordinates calendars, enhancing our workflow efficiency.

**Official Response from Susan Moeller:**

> Thanks! I'm happy you find the routing logic. helpful!
