Customer loyalty is the ongoing preference a customer shows for one business over its competitors, expressed through repeat purchases, higher spending and word-of-mouth referrals. It is the result of consistent positive experiences and the feeling of being recognized and rewarded. The most effective loyalty programs share a few traits: they are easy to join, genuinely rewarding to use, and they give the business real data about who its best customers are, so it can market to them intelligently and grow repeat revenue over time.
