## About Xcelium Logic Simulation
SimVision Debug can be used to debug digital, analog, or mixed-signal designs written in Verilog, SystemVerilog, e, VHDL, and SystemClanguages or a combination thereof. SimVision integrated debug supports signal-level and transaction-based flows across all IEEE-standard design, testbench, and assertion languages, in addition to concurrent visualization of hardware, software, and analog domains. SimVision Debug provides a unified simulation and debug environment that allows Incisive Enterprise Simulator to manage multiple simulation runs easily and to analyze both design and testbench behavior at any point in the verification processregardless of the composition.

## Xcelium Logic Simulation Reviews
  ### 1. Best built-in debug tool supporting multitude of HDL/HVL and more

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Semiconductors | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Xcelium Logic Simulation?**

Tight integration for various debug such as:
Verilog (RTL)
Gate Level
SV-TB
UVM
Specman
PSS
SVA
PSL
SystemC
DPI etc.

Very dependable debugger, does not crash as often as other similar tools do. Solid look-and-feel gives a very professional tool for day-to-day debug.

Signal search, value find, driver tracing are very easy. Expression builder, bus builder works like charm.

**What do you dislike about Xcelium Logic Simulation?**

Sometimes slow - especially on large designs over remote connections. I wish the SHM (the Dump format in Xcelium/Simvision) is as compact as FSDB (Fast Signal Data Base). Also PSS (Portable Stimulus Standard) support is yet to mature. Assertions work well, would like to see an evaluator engine so that we can add SVA on-the-fly and re-evaluate without having to re-run simulations

**What problems is Xcelium Logic Simulation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Driver tracing - works well till System Verilog/UVM (Universal Verification Methodology) drivers are involved
UVM - Universal Verification Methodology - phase tracing
UVM - Universal Verification Methodology - Factory override viewer, debugger
Sequence debug in UVM (Universal Verification Methodology)
Config Data Base (Confg-DB) in UVM via uvm_config_db class API is one of the hardest ones to debug, Simvision makes it much easier.

Drag and drop of objects across windows/panes, works well
Lot of configurations to tweak to individual style
Simulation hangs especially from UVM (Universal Verification Methodology) code/phases
Zero delay loops inside behavioural models.

Also using it for Analog and Mixed Signal/Real Number Modeling designs.

  ### 2. Simvision Debug provides many features helpful for debugging designs.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lawrence D. | Digital Implementation Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2020

**What do you like best about Xcelium Logic Simulation?**

I like using using the waveform viewing and schematic tracing features.
As a implementation engineer, this is very helpful in debugging different nt DFT issues (scan, memory bist, logic bist, boundary scan, etc. ).

**What do you dislike about Xcelium Logic Simulation?**

There are some times that SimVision debug crashes especially when loading very large designs.

**What problems is Xcelium Logic Simulation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a implementation engineer, I'm solving problems related to pattern verification issues of different DFT techniques.
SimVision debug make the debugging easier through its many features (Waveform viewer, Schematic Tracer, Source browser, Design browser, Assertion debug, Driver tracing, SimCompare, etc.)

  ### 3. Great for rootcause analysis

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohit C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Xcelium Logic Simulation?**

Source code backtracing is very easy and intuitive with multiple hierarchies of modules in the design, also option to save signal list for next debug helps a lot!

**What do you dislike about Xcelium Logic Simulation?**

Enum values showing up as hex. Many times its needed to check values of custom data types

**What problems is Xcelium Logic Simulation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SIMULATION FAILURES TO ROOTCAUSE IF IT IS AN ACTUAL RTL BUG OR A TESTBENCH ISSUE, COVERAGE SCENARIOS

  ### 4. A very good debugging

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Xcelium Logic Simulation?**

Reinvoking the simulator by making changes to the code at background is very helpful

**What do you dislike about Xcelium Logic Simulation?**

Tracing interface signals driven from UVM environment is not ease. Hope this is taken care.

**What problems is Xcelium Logic Simulation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unexpected behaviour of an IP cam be traced through the waveforms. We can also force certain values at defined time to observe the expected changes.

  ### 5. Good debug tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vamshi R. | V, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Xcelium Logic Simulation?**

Tracing signals and their values at different time stamps.

**What do you dislike about Xcelium Logic Simulation?**

Reinvoking the simulator fails sometimes

**What problems is Xcelium Logic Simulation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bugs in design. Forcing certain values to a signal at particular time is very good featuresl

  ### 6. Makes your Debugging easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Semiconductors | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Xcelium Logic Simulation?**

its way of showing signals waveform. it makes analysis of signals very easy.

**What do you dislike about Xcelium Logic Simulation?**

it does not show two dimensional array memory appropriately which makes less handy.

**What problems is Xcelium Logic Simulation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we have used in ip verification and when sometimes our design does not work appropriately then we have to look for design signals on waveform to check how they are behaving on bus. It helps to check actual toggling of signals on bus interface which helps in debugging the issue.

  ### 7. A very good debug tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2020

It is very useful in tracing the hierarchy RTL design, easy to load signals and user friendly interface to observe waveforms.

**What do you dislike about Xcelium Logic Simulation?**

It quite often crashes and is slow when simulation times are high. Some nets cannot be added in the waveforms

**What problems is Xcelium Logic Simulation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using it for RTL design verification. It has made test debug easy to understand where and what is causing the test to break

  ### 8. Easy Debug Tool
