Platform was simple to implement with a great set of onboarding consultants from Bynder. Bynder product owners regularly engage with community to improve the product in an open an transparent manner. **What do you dislike about Bynder?** Bynder Homepage tools feel dated and complex when managing different experiences by language, market etc. New planned enhancements using Landing page tools should help aleviate this friction. Woud be nice to have more flexibility to display higher resolution previews in the DAM, minor gripe. Increasing pattern of new features being pitched as solo standalone modules/features (i.e. Search AI, Analytics API) at additional cost, when there is a clear case that some of these could be expected as part of core features; especially for enterprise customers. **What problems is Bynder solving and how is that benefiting you?** Providing a simple and easy to use DAM product in a B2B setting for 20,000+ global clubs and staff. Bynder provides a set of tools that offer great flexibility to self manage DAM experience, Metadata and supporting Brand Guidelines and content (guides pages and landing pages). A very robust onboarding that got us comfortable using the system and ready to go off on our own. Since then, our customer success manager has been great. We meet monthly to discuss roadmap items and she is very quick to respond inbetween meetings for any questions that arise. Likewise, the Bynder support is super quick to respond and get quick resolution to any problems or questions arise. The other great thing I've noticed is Bynder is constantly innovating and rolling out enhanced features that further progress the use of the DAM it's other modules and integrations. **What do you dislike about Bynder?** Some Bynder modules, such as Studio, are limited at the moment, although they have roadmap updates coming soon to make it more robust. Also some admin related things must be done on the Bynder side, which isn't a big deal since their support team is always and available and turns things around very quickly. **What problems is Bynder solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our overall goal was to find a modern DAM platform that could serve as a central hub, connecting our digital ecosystem. A past challenge was version control, not only in our DAM, but having a separate manual process for updating assets in our CMS. We were able to integrate our CMS so that Bynder is now our single source of truth for assets, populating the latest versions of our assets across our web pages. Our users are also benefiting from a quick and easy to navigate system thanks to the smart search and filtering features, plus allowing personal collections, cutting down the time it takes them to arrive at the assets needed. We've also added on CX for user communities to allow us to build guides and pages to give a landing place for "resource centers", training material, etc that gives context about purpose behind our assets. ### 7. The power and versatility are impressive. Just about anything you wish it could do, it can. Francine, who helped us with implementation and training was unbelievably friendly, patient and helpful. I can't give her enough praise! Our clients are already utilizing the system to find documents and making comments about how useful and comprehensive it is. I'm hoping after the front-end increase in workload to get our documents loaded, it will help relieve the burden of frequent document requests/searches that are emailed direclty to us. **What do you dislike about Bynder?** One of Bynder's best features -- it's versatility -- is also one of its most daunting aspects. There are SO many menus and features that it can definitely be overwhelming during implementation and traning. You get a lot of information thrown at you in a very short time, and it's difficult to absorb it all. Fortunately, Bynder records and posts all the training sessions so you can go back and re-learn how to do certain things if necessary. There's also a big up-front committment to uploading documents. After 25 years at my organization, I have tens of thousands of files. Trying to sift through them, upload them, tag them with all the taxonomy, etc. is extremely tedious and time consuming -- at least in our case and the way our files are ogranized. That's not Bynder's fault, really, but it is something to keep in mind -- it's not going to magically populate itself with documents. They do have some automation aides, but they don't really help that much for our situation. **What problems is Bynder solving and how is that benefiting you?** As our organization grows exponentially in size both geographically and personnel-wise, the number of emails asking, "Can you send me all the documents you have for X/Y service line" or "Please send me the logos for X/Y" or other similar requests have increased dramatically. Also, the sheer number of documents has increased to the point that it's nearly impossible for one person to know what's currently available, what's been kept up-to-date, etc. Having the DAM should not only allow clients to search for documents via service line, region, facility, it will also allow them to find and download frequently requested items, such as logos and brand standards. It should also help us keep documents accurate and up to date, as they'll be easily reviewable online by our clients at any time -- especially as personnel turnover brings in new staff who may not know all the documents we have available if it weren't for Bynder. ### 16. From the start, the sales team and our onboarding representative were professional, patient, and incredibly helpful. Our onboarding process was not only organized, but also enjoyable. Our training information was all-encompassing of the platform and we now have the proper tools to max out potential use at our company. What really stood out was the level of support provided. Our onboarding rep was so kind and always provided detailed answers for all of our questions every step of the way. We received recordings of all our training sessions, along with an extensive library of online resources, making it easy to revisit any part of the training. The tools and training provided have truly set us up for success, both now and in the long term. Our onboarding not only got us up to speed but set us up with customer success resources for future improvements and troubleshooting. As a previous Brandfolder client, the Bynder platform is very much more user-friendly and easy to use. Bynder has a customizable, clean display, and the roll-out to our extended team has gone smoothly so far. When I compare Bynder vs. Brandfolder, Bynder has a stronger, more intuitive interface and platform, at a much lower cost. Ease of use. The UI is excellent, and easy for me and the team to navigate, which was a huge priority for our charity. 2. Support from onboarding team. Marilu and Adam provided excellent support througout the onboarding process, and were quick to respond to any issues or snags I had. 3. Uploading assets is simple, and the process should be easy enough for the wider team and organisation, which is key for sustainable use. **What do you dislike about Bynder?** Currently, there is very little to dislike about the system. One minor issue the lack of a "duplication" asset finder upon loading. I'm aware there is a duplicate finder once assets have been loaded into the system, but it would be a useful tool to have a duplication finder on asset load. **What problems is Bynder solving and how is that benefiting you?** For us at the charity, Bynder has helped to find a central source of truth for all of our digital assets. This has been a long time coming, and will ensure that both the Marketing team, and wider charity, are all using the most recent, correct, and up to date assets (for example, correct brand logos). The system will also be useful for external clients, such as photographers or corporate partners, who wish to download our assets for use (for example, a brand kit for a utility partner). Finally, the system will be fantastic in sourcing appropriate stock imagery for social media, video, branding, and web. Given the metaproperty implementation, once our stock photo library has been uploaded we will be able to easily source relevant imagery through metaproperty options and tags, saving the team swathes of time and effort. ### 23. Additionally, the base Analytics are really not useful to gain insights as to specific asset and user habits. **What problems is Bynder solving and how is that benefiting you?** Bynder is our sole center of marketing collateral for our sales, product, support and marketing teams and has significantly reduced the amount of time spent servicing asset requests from enterprise users. We are now able to distribute assets more efficiently and our consultants can upload photography and videography directly to the system rather than having to send to us for us to upload it for them. My team has been using the product for 2 months now and I've not had any complaints or issues. **What problems is Bynder solving and how is that benefiting you?** I work at an agency that has been around since 2005 and in that time we have accumulated over 50,000 photos. My job as photo lead is to share out specific photos as requested. Well, I have only been with this agency since 2021 and all of the photos taken before I joined were scattered all over our team's google drives and personal drives and archives. By uploading every single photo we have into Bynder and applying tags, now our photo library is extremley easy to search through for everyone on my team, regaurdless of how long they've been with the agency. We have created serveral comprehensive guides which are used accross our user base and were very simple to build. The landing pages are being linked to via tiles on the homepage to create an expanded user journey. This allows us to position users with the content they require before having to use search functions. The speed of the support teams is always excellent and they work hard to maintain a good quality of service. **What do you dislike about Bynder?** I would always prefer to use folders, and referenced containers. It just makes more sense to me and allows more detailed permissions, but it harder to manage. I would really like to see preferred terms for metaproperty options and a taxonomy structure to the tags. **What problems is Bynder solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is helping with brand guardianship by easily allowing us to manage access to assets and through the production of guidelines. We are able to provide detailed rights/licencing infomation for assets which downloads in the applicable metadata. The notification centre also tells users when an asset they have downloaded is going to expire. Risk reduction - by creating a single source of truth we can have confidence in our asset usage and release management. ### 29. Particularly when setting up templates, we had a lot of issues where we couldn't set character limits in text boxes - this would definitely be something we'd like to see in the future. We have also experienced quite a few glitches such as when removing an image in bynder, we export the postcard and the image we removed is still on there. The guides tool is really cool too, you can easily build out mini websites that guide people through your content and how to use it. The interface for this tool is so confusing it almost renders it useless. We had weekly detailed, recorded, calls where we covered in depth many different topics and reviewed some real life situations. The team was easily accessible for any quesitons I had during my onboarding and replied promptly.
