"Very Effective for Our Needs, and Good Training"
4/5
What do you like best about Bullhorn?

I appreciate the breadth of options and settings that you are able to personalize to meet your needs as an organization and the fact that it's flexible enough to use for multiple facets. I liked the hands on training and onboarding process, and the automations are a great tool in engaging individuals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bullhorn?

The system is not the most user friendly if extensive training or explanations have not been completed, so there is a level of coaching and teaching time that needs to be built in to other users within our organization. This is just a consideration and not necessarily a negative. I will also say that sometimes the wide array of options makes it a little more time consuming to find the right one for you, but, once you do, as I said, it works quite well. "BullHorn Review - 5/5 Stars!"
5/5
What do you like best about Bullhorn?

I like that the platform is reliable and fast! Tasks like managing candidates, job posting, and communications are super simple and very user friendly. Bullhorn is the first thing I use when coming in and the last thing I use when heading out for the day.

I really like that if I forget to save a note, the platform automatically creates and saves a draft for me to come back to later. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bullhorn?

One small downside I have with the platform is that it can be a bit tricky to use without training. However, once you're familiar with the tools, it's a very smooth and efficient system to use! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Due to Bullhorn's many features and customizations - learning the platform can be a lengthy task. However, many helpful tools are available for learning. During our busy seasons - Bullhorn may be slower than normal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Smooth Transition to Bullhorn - FANTASTIC Team"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Bullhorn?

We have recently (within the last year) transitioned to using Bullhorn, BH Time and Expense, and Able for our recruiting system. Phase one, as many implementations do, had some speed bumps. However, the team that was assigned to our implementation was absolutely STELLAR!

They made moving to Bullhorn an easier transition and were always available for us when needed. We use Bullhorn in our every day and deploying it to our team was less stressful knowing how thorough we were during phase 1. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bullhorn?

There were some minor challenges with system integration that took longer than expected. There were also a few features are less intuitive than we hoped. Some integrations within Bullhorn have been a little difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Bullhorn is a solid ATS that is user-friendly"
4/5
What do you like best about Bullhorn?

The actual software platform is very good and user-friendly. I only have used a handful of other ATSs but Bullhorn seems to be the most encompassing and easiest to use. As an Administrator, it's pretty simple to update fields and customize.

Support is pretty strong too and it's not often Bullhorn is down. It happens periodically but not that big of a deal. You can usually get someone on the phone when you call. We did all the time during implementation and our first year but after that you really don't need to because the software is pretty self-explanatory.

It is the biggest and most popular ATS out there for a reason. I would say back office isn't as nice as the front office ATS side, but they are trying to push you into the newer version of back office (which is expensive and we don't need). The core ATS product though is very strong. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bullhorn?

I only have a few main complaints- the contracts and the way private records work.

Contracts: It's SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive to be on a contract that allows you to flex down when you have less employees as you are locked in. If you add a new employee, you get locked into a higher minimum as well unless you are on the more expensive plan. This is common but the price differences is very high, and it's difficult to work with as a small recruiting firm when you're stuck paying for users that you don't have.

Private records: You can have private contact records but since you can't make a company record private, any emails sent back and forth to those private contacts are still visible in the Emails tab of the company record, which defeats the purpose. Also, tasks created in private records are visible by default which should really follow along the private status of the actual record.

Commissions can be hit or miss too, but it depends on how you do commissions at your company. It can either be very easy or very difficult if you have a customized commission plan.

Lastly, their standard reporting is from the 90s it seems. Very basic and no customization as well. You can't save reports either. To do any of this requires parting with a third party. Which is fine, I get it that they get revenue from partners, but they could do at least some sort of upgrades to their reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
