**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

  ### 17. Easy interface but transitioning team from Classic to PRISM has taken some training and getting used

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Randy H. | Senior Facility Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

THe usability of the system and freindlyness of the application. The support has been awesome as well. Different modules you can add on if your company uses them is a nice feature as well, you dont have to have everything only what you use.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

Transitioning from one platform over to the new PRISM was a difficult process as the old system does not translate to the new system, so be ready for some manual input.

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were already using hte BE Classic and have moved to the PRISM application which has more features available.

  ### 18. I am new to Building Engines

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jill G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

Easy to go from screen to screen, sort work orders and most columns in various diferent screens. The ability to edit data. Well organized. Our engineers really like it.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

When I click on GoTo or Admin and choose an option and the sendary option list appears it isn't locked so choosing my next option can be a hit and miss.

It would be nice be able to get a quick view of what the WO is for in any of the WO search screens, especially the reoccuring WO list. I was looking for a specific one that needed the frequency changed to bi-monthly (there is no option for that) and I couldn't serach by what the WO was for or the WO number.

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to enable our tenants to place WO. BE allows us to assign WO, keep track of our tenants and vendors, track COIs and run reports

I mostly order access cards for employees and that has become easier.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Commercial Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

I like that everything is centralized with a variety of features necessary for property management and housing important documents and that there are dedicated trainings for specific roles so you're not learning amiss.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

Simple questions as far as navigating where or how to do certain tasks or change a field are not easily found in the search tool. 6/10 times I have to reach out by email to get my question answered.

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use BE mostly for our work order system which has kept an accurate record of tracking maintinance issues and prevention implimentation.

  ### 25. Prism Launch:The fact that "Prism" support has live persons is a definite plus.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

The fact that our tenants can go login to the system and place, follow up on their work orders. As well as view their profiles.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

Documents in french are not made available for those of us who are in Quebec.

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The fact that you have a library to consult as questions arise which makes to system a whole lot easier to be able to learn and get familiar with. So far I have received answers to my questions in a timely and satisfactory fashion.

  ### 26. Prism is poorly-designed and lacking features

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Commercial Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

The customer support has been responsive and helped where possible.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

Prism is apparently still working on features that should be standard in any property management software (preventative maintenance task scheduling, reporting, etc).

The Prism service request process design is terrible and generates an enormous number of unnecessary emails. Additional required interactions were invented in the service request process to force you to avoid even more pointless notification emails (you must "Assign" a ticket to an individual, even if a team is responsible for it; you must mark "Arrived" at a location, even with only 1 building). On Hold tickets send reminder emails that they're still On Hold. On Hold tickets must be returned to Open status before Completing. Their biggest feature is clogging your email inbox with garbage, sometimes at 3am on a weekend.

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prism meets the minimum requirements to be a functional property management portal.

**Official Response from Angela Arguson:**

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

Everything functioned properly with no issues. And if there was any problems they were quick to fix. Some featrues were great but since we have switched we miss some of these features.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

Currently the only issues i have is Prism application. It does not work properly. and the Costumer service team for that side of the company lacks in major ways. 2 Month Response times are beyond crazy and the Mobile app is always broken.

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We deal with Property mangement related issues. We are able to track work orders and stay on top of maintenance issues in a quicker fashion then what could be done without a program like this.

**Official Response from Angela Arguson:**

As always, we’re committed to ensuring every customer gets the most value from our products and services. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at prismsupport@buildingengines.com with any questions. ### 39. Inputting/receiving requests in real time is necessary for smooth building operations.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eloisa F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

The ease of work ordertracking. The value that comes from the tenant/PM team inputting and receiving information and requests in real time is necessary for smooth building operations.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

It is dated and I am excited to eventuallly migrate to the prism system. The interface is too bland and using all the features is not super easy.

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managment and tracking tenant requests, PM schedule, COI compliance review, and the communication both within the team and with tenants is useful. When a property is not using BE, handling tenant requests becomes exponencially more difficult.

  ### 40. Building Engines makes for an effective operating platform with easy to evaluate results.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenna M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

Building Engines/Prism has allowed our colleagues to have a one-stop-shop for Work Orders, Reporting, Bid Management, Mass Communications, and Incident Reporting. Gone are the days of having ten tabs open to execute, monitor, and report on our day-to-day.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

Building Engines/Prism has so many capabilities that allow for customization. With so much freedom, it can often be challenging to get the platform to be fully built out to our needs and to evaluate the data that can be exported easily.

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Driving growth and achieving best-in-class costs are two of our company’s strategic objectives; for that to be completed, we needed a platform that could provide us with the resources to see areas of opportunity and weakness. We can now determine how, when, where, and why time is spent on each Work Order, Inspection, Incident Report, Communication, etc., through the data pulled from Prism.

  ### 41. Building Engines Review: Enhancing Our Property Management Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Safwan D. | Technical Assistant / Assistant Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

Our experience with Building Engines has been nothing short of exceptional. As a property management company, we were searching for a comprehensive solution that could streamline our operations and improve tenant satisfaction. Building Engines delivered on all fronts.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

Integration Challenges: Integrating Building Engines with our existing software and systems presented some challenges. While the platform offers integrations, we hope for smoother and more seamless connections with popular third-party applications.

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User-Friendly Interface: Right from the start, we were impressed by the user-friendly interface. It was easy to onboard our team and get them up to speed quickly. The intuitive design allowed for a seamless transition to digital property management.

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

Good platform once set up to get work requests to the right people.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

Work order filter / display features on the mobile app. Very hard to find work orders that I need on the phone.
"Files" not so great because can only organize by tags

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manage work orders and PMs. We use PRISM though which had many bugs and took over a year to weed out issues before implementing.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

Building Management, Staff and Tenants can all use the platform for all building matters. It is easy to use. Has a ton of useful features without feeling overwhelming.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

I would not change a thing about the current platform.

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The platform is very easy for Tenants to log a work order or reserve a building amenity. And in turn a great way for building staff to track work orders, building equipment and amenity usage.

  ### 46. Prism Customer

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martha N. | Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

After long hours of moving from Building Engines to the Prism platform, feeling as though we were a BETA customer, we have found that their customer service has gotten better about responding to requests, and working to find resolutions for the issues that are still in play.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

That when a request is made for an improvement it's pushed out pretty far.

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization and Time Management

  ### 47. Customer Experience Conduit

**Reviewed by:** Emily N. | Manager, Asset Management - Service Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

I like the connectivity. It is a great platform to connect our teams with our customers. There are many functions that help streamline our internal processes as well.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

My company's most current pain point is resource scheduling. Not being able to block out a room if the entire center is already booked.

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Resource scheduling. We are gaining more and more amenities across all of our portfolios so assistance in managing those amenities is huge.
