Defect Tracking Systems allow individual or groups of developers to keep track of outstanding bugs in their product effectively. Most commercial defect-tracking software vendors charge enormous licensing fees. Despite being "free", Bugzilla has many features its expensive counterparts lack. Too basic, ugly interface, not the most intuitive. **Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2017 **What do you like best about Bugzilla?** It was free! It was also easy for our developers to understand, easy to identify bugs/issues, with comments, notes, etc. We enjoyed that you could add screenshots and comments. **What do you dislike about Bugzilla?** It was no frills, and hard to use. The interface was not pretty. I could not identify how to set up work streams or assign / add followers. It seemed too basic for us. Other PM tools in my past have been much easier / robust for my teams need. **Recommendations to others considering Bugzilla:** Be sure to map out exactly what you want from a Bug tracking software - as in a checklist of sorts. Then, review 3-5 and pick the one that fits your needs most. **What problems is Bugzilla solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tracking bugs and issues during the development process of an iOS & Android app. ### 2. The customization is not what we need for it to be. It works as a solution but could have many improvements to make it better. There should be better tracking and note availability. It is not easily searched as it is just by title. **What do you dislike about Bugzilla?** Search ability is the biggest issue I have when using Bugzilla, it just searches the titles and that means that I need to know how someone else tables something. **What problems is Bugzilla solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving bugs within our platform or multiple customers. It means everything is in one place but not easily used **Official Response from David Miller:** > Bugzilla's search is not only by title.
