## Buffer Reviews
  ### 1. Easy Multi-Channel Social Media Connections with a Simple Dashboard

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Visal K. | Performance Marketing Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Buffer?**

Its easiness to connect with the most of the social media channels including Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, BSky. Also the free plan provides access to connect 3 channels. The best part is its simple dahsboard we dont need to contact the support team for onboarding or no need to watch the videos for integrations.

**What do you dislike about Buffer?**

It did not provide some features like mentioning the page or person on our social media posts, we need to manually go to social media channel for this purpose.

**What problems is Buffer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps to improve the productivity of our social media team, also saves a lots of time by using a single channel for social media management.

  ### 2. To improve and simplify your social media routine, Buffer is a powerful scheduling application

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shishu Raj P. | Assistant Vice President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Buffer?**

What I genuinely love most about Buffer is how simple and clean it makes everything.

It takes the overwhelming feeling out of social media management. You get this beautiful, easy-to-use content calendar where you can quickly see the entire week ahead. That way, you can step back, plan your content, and then the app just reliably takes care of the posting for you.

For me, that simplicity and the ability to schedule things out in bulk is a total time-saver—it lets me actually focus on creating good content instead of constantly fiddling with different platforms.

**What do you dislike about Buffer?**

The primary downside of Buffer is its simplicity—it lacks the advanced features found in competitors.

The main complaints are:

Limited Engagement & Listening: It doesn't offer robust tools for social listening (monitoring brand mentions across the web) or a unified inbox for quickly managing all comments and replies.

Basic Analytics: The reports are often considered too shallow for large teams that require in-depth competitive or custom reporting.

Cost for Scale: The pricing can get expensive quickly if you manage a large number of social accounts.

**What problems is Buffer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Buffer solves three main problems:

Time Management: It lets you schedule posts in advance across all your social accounts from one place, eliminating the need for daily manual posting.

Inconsistency: It ensures a consistent content flow by automatically posting at optimal times, even when you're busy.

Lack of Insight: It provides simple analytics to help you quickly see what content performs best so you can refine your strategy.

Benefit: You save significant time while maintaining a professional, data-driven, and consistent social media presence.

  ### 3. Intuitive Social Media Scheduling with a Few Hiccups

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan W. | Account Director, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Buffer?**

I like that Buffer is intuitive to use and feature-rich. Even though there are capabilities that are more advanced than what we need, it's really helpful for the most simple and valuable tasks. It also makes it easy to visually plan out what we're doing on different days, and I like the set it and forget it mentality it provides.

**What do you dislike about Buffer?**

Sometimes posts fail, which is frustrating. It's probably more on the social media platforms than it is on Buffer, but it's still annoying. And there are certain types of posts that you cannot schedule in advance, which is annoying.

**What problems is Buffer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Buffer lets us easily plan social media posts, bringing a 'set it and forget it' ease to our scheduling, especially for our new products.

  ### 4. Convenience of publications, limited free features

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vyacheslav L. | Researcher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Buffer?**

I like that Buffer helps schedule posts in different time zones. It's really convenient because you can set posts for any time within a specified time zone. I also liked that its setup is very easy.

**What do you dislike about Buffer?**

I don't like the limited number of free channels that can be added; I would like more in the free version.

**What problems is Buffer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Buffer helps me plan social media posts and guide people through the sales funnel.

  ### 5. Easy Team Collaboration with a Clear, Helpful Overview

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura G. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

  ### 6. Speeded up and optimized social media management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea C. | photographer and filmmaker, Media Production, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Buffer?**

Buffer's standout feature is its incredibly intuitive and streamlined scheduling platform, allowing users to effortlessly plan and automate their social media content across multiple networks with remarkable ease and reliability.

**What do you dislike about Buffer?**

While excellent for scheduling, Buffer's analytics and reporting capabilities are somewhat basic compared to more comprehensive and in-depth social media management platforms.

**What problems is Buffer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Buffer transforms social media management from a scattered, reactive task into a streamlined, proactive, and measurable strategy. The primary benefit is a significant gain in efficiency and effectiveness, allowing you to achieve better results with less manual effort.

  ### 7. Great software solution for managing Social media!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** StartupStage S. | Founder | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Buffer?**

Simplcity of sending and adjusting tone and hastags by platform. However I did notice a a 20% decrease when I start using the feature. I am unsure if it was my content of a bad week for social engagement.

**What do you dislike about Buffer?**

It can be a little glitchy and often you have to go in a manually resend a post.

**What problems is Buffer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing multi-platform social media distribution with ease. It saves a ton of time and is a huge help when you need to get a snapshot of what you content calendar looks like. The anaylitics could be more robust but are a nice way to keep an eye on what is working and what is not.

  ### 8. Great for straightforward social scheduling while also affordable

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Buffer?**

It's no nonsense and no distractions, plus very affordable compared to other tools with bells and whistles.

**What do you dislike about Buffer?**

Only stopped using it when we needed more out of a social scheduler.

**What problems is Buffer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quicky, easy, affordable social scheduling

  ### 9. Buffer, a Social Media productivity changer.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose A. | Marketing Assistant, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Buffer?**

I've been using Buffer for 5 years, and it has helped me the way I manage my main social media profiles. In particular, the platform's scheduling feature has simplified my life but also the simply way to repost published content. I'm able to get more done throughout the day since I can pre-schedule my social media updates in advance.

The way it manages the several images associated to the publication was what I have enjojed most since Buffer showed up in the market. Also the custom URL shortener which can connect with your analytics. Both features are also excellent.

Buffer is a great option for those who want to publish and re-publish quickly using the basic social media features.

**What do you dislike about Buffer?**

As I said earlier, I have used Buffer for a long time with no main issues but the use of emojis was quite tedious for many years of using the tool. Recently Buffer has solved it by showing your most used emojis first to select instead of having to scroll down all the emojis if it happened you needed to select a country flag...one of the last emojis in the list, which was really annoying.

I have not liked that on the free plan Buffer has removed the posibility to have threaded tweets. This just got updated creating a kind of confussion since the "upgrade" message kept showing up when some weeks ago was added to the free plan.

**What problems is Buffer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Buffer improves the process to work with the publication calendar. A really easy way to schedule posts in your different social media channels. Excelent analytic feedback and what I like most is the hability to republish content that you have already published but remember that you are unable to create threaded tweets unless you upgrade to a paid plan.

  ### 10. Easy Scheduling tool for marketers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aditi J. | Social Media Growth Hacker, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Buffer?**

It makes social media scheduling in advance on different platforms at once very easy than manually scheduling.

**What do you dislike about Buffer?**

The unpaid version has limitations to the number of platforms you can use schedule at once. So you want to schedule on multiple platforms more than 3 you will need to do it separately.

**What problems is Buffer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This makes the problem of social media scheduling very easy. It makes the process very structured and oraganised for someone to manage. It helps you stay in track with your calendar.

  ### 11. Good platform. Limiting if you don't want to pay for a premium version

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Buffer?**

Easy social media management, that we could across our team for multiple clients. Good insights and analysis. And nice little touches, like it automatically pulling in pictures from any pages you were linking to - so you didn't have upload them.

**What do you dislike about Buffer?**

In the end we switched to Loomly. There wasn't anything specific we disliked about Buffer we just found that, at the time, Loomly offered better value for money for us to do both scheduling and analytics and also was just a little more user friendly.

We have tried a number of services like this - including Hootsuite - and Buffer would have been our choice, had we not preferred the cost and interface of Loomly.

**Recommendations to others considering Buffer:**

Take the free trial and check it's right for you. Try to compare to least two other services (I'd suggest Loomly and Hootsuite) to weigh various factors including cost, ease of use and results.

**What problems is Buffer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the key problems of a) posting across multiple social media platforms and b) being able to schedule content to go live in the future. It also has lots of handy shortcuts to speed up what we do.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Devyani S. | Customer Relations Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Buffer?**

I loved their freemium plan where I can try them without any time constraints with a single media account. Also, they got a pretty good automated scheduling feature for planning ahead for your monthly social media post calendar

Their dashboard is very easy to understand helps me identify daily post metrics at one place without going to their specific social media accounts.

**What do you dislike about Buffer?**

They add masks on links in captions of posts that makes me annoying as it makes fo9llowers confused whether they are clicking on the right link or not.

Also, their price is not that affordable even if they provide pretty good features but they sometimes fail their promises. Their scheduling toll sometimes reschedule itself some posts that make my campaigns mismatch on the ground.

**What problems is Buffer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I and my team manage clients' social media to make their posts roll on time with campaigns. It helps us manage multiple accounts without any hassle and make us take decisions based on analytics and improve further posts resulting in better engagements.

I work for a social media marketing agency, and we use Buffer to manage multiple accounts. I like how easy it is to schedule posts. Reports are probably the best out there. Plus, it's relatively inexpensive.

**What do you dislike about Buffer?**

Buffer doesn't allow me to post carousel photos on Instagram or LinkedIn, and I post carousels a lot. In general, it's not great for LinkedIn if you use more than one image.

**Recommendations to others considering Buffer:**

Buffer is a good tool for managing multiple social media accounts on different platforms, but it has its downfalls when it comes to working with IG and LinkedIn.

**What problems is Buffer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 25. Buffer: Allowing You to Create and Schedule a Custom Content Calendar

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tessa B. | Public Relations and Marketing Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Buffer?**

While we've seen social media grow over the past few years, we've seen the need to keep up with content in order to keep your business and brand front of mind for consumers. Buffer, allows you to create and schedule posts to be shared directly to your desired social media page or pages. Buffer makes it easy to tag businesses (a recent addition for Facebook), share multiple videos and really plan out your content.

**What do you dislike about Buffer?**

While Buffer provides an amazing service and truly valuable app for social media scheduling, there are a few downfalls. The first being even though you can add up to 4 photos to a scheduled post for Instagram, you still have to manually post the photos (I think this might be an Instagram API issue, by what I've heard). Also, Instagram carousels allow for up to 10 photos, however, Buffer will only let you upload 4 at once. That's the biggest issue we found with Buffer. Other than that with other apps of similar functionality, there is availability to add in roles/approval processes which has proven beneficial for our work as an agency.

**Recommendations to others considering Buffer:**

Buffer has a lot of great functions, especially if you're looking for an easy, efficient way to get your work done without complications. It's easy to use and free if for a limited number of accounts, I think up to 6. This is a great starting place to begin if you're getting into social media scheduling apps.

**What problems is Buffer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Buffer allows our entire social media team to stay up to date on what our content schedule looks like, what's coming up and how we need to pivot as needed. It takes off an amazing stress that can come with managing social media as you can view what your feed will look like in the future and plan ahead with a function that posts automatically for you! Buffer also has great reporting, so if you're looking to get into detail with your engagement, reach and insight numbers Buffer will take your analytics and share them with you in an easy to read report.

  ### 26. A huge helping hand for making social media posting more fun

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Buffer?**

Buffer has been instrumental to almost any social media campaign i have worked with so far. Buffer is so seamless with integrating existing profiles that managers tend to love it more than the main platforms.

**What do you dislike about Buffer?**

Buffer has a pretty good grasp of the existing social media giants. however, it would be good to see entry into up and coming new social media networks as part of the integrations too.

**Recommendations to others considering Buffer:**

From beginners to professionals, Buffer is the key to efficient social media management.

**What problems is Buffer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Buffer has taken away all the headache of when to post, and at what frequency. Once a posting schedule is up and running, the posts can be fed in at any time, for Buffer to do its magic.

  ### 27. Effective Scheduler for Most Social Media Platforms

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam C. | Director of Partnerships, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Buffer?**

I like how I can segment different accounts within the scheduler and ultimately learn about how I could use the product in the free version before I consider buying it. It allows me to get my bearings in it within my existing posting routine.

**What do you dislike about Buffer?**

I'm not too fond of the Linkedin scheduler - since it only fires the post, I spend a lot of time outside of Linkedin checking hashtags and post-previewing before I schedule a post.

**Recommendations to others considering Buffer:**

It's likely the most accessible and most user-friendly entry into content scheduling

**What problems is Buffer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm getting better at habitually posting to my channels, and capitalizing on writing sprees to preload my content. It's increased my content output to my social channels.

  ### 28. Good scheduling tool with some limitations

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Buffer?**

I like how you can add multiple accounts, and assign people to specific pages. In a large organization it's easy to manage access. It also provides a review section so some people aren't able to post without oversight.

**What do you dislike about Buffer?**

Videos don't seem to be published correctly. Also, you can't post multiple images to an Instagram post.

**Recommendations to others considering Buffer:**

It's a good tool if you're managing multiple accounts.

**What problems is Buffer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's nice to have all our social in one place. We're also able to review posts before they're posted live which gives extra oversight.

  ### 29. Easy to use and saves time

**Reviewed by:** Amanda B. | Director of Marketing, Airlines/Aviation, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Buffer?**

How easy it is to post to all social media outlets at one time.

**What do you dislike about Buffer?**

It seems to disconnect from some of the social media outlets a bit more than other posting platforms I have used.

**What problems is Buffer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Buffer saved my company a ton of time by allowing us to post to all of our social media pages at once versus having to go to each individual page. Having the ability to schedule ahead of time has been amazing for our social media planning process as well.

  ### 30. Simple UI, easy to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Buffer?**

I like the publishing capabilities to allow for posting on multiple social media platforms. Anyone can jump in and get started without having a lot of technical know-how. The calendar feature is great; easily see your queue so you always have a full content calendar. There's also a free plan and free trial to try out advanced features.

**What do you dislike about Buffer?**

There's not a lot to dislike about Buffer if you're just using it to publish content. If you want more advanced features such as analytics, you'll need a paid account. But for what it is, Buffer is a simple publishing tool that would work for independent publishers and small businesses.

**What problems is Buffer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Buffer enables publication to my social media platforms of choice so I can keep a consistent flow of content going on my various social media pages, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Buffer?**

Buffer is easy to use, really great for Instagram and has a lot of great ways to integrate (Canva). I've saved a lot of time by being able to use Buffer and not have to go to each site to schedule posts.

**What do you dislike about Buffer?**

Sometimes, Buffer can be glitchy and will have issues loading photos, will log you out/disconnect your accounts, etc. Also, it would be great if there was an added element to be able to copy old posts to reshare them easily.

**Recommendations to others considering Buffer:**

Buffer is a great tool - when using the pro tool. The free tool is a great way to dip in, but the limit on the number of posts you can schedule and the number of accounts you can have linked is limiting.

**What problems is Buffer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to schedule out all my posts for LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter have been such a great time saver. I'm able to see all of my posts in one place.

  ### 32. very simple and easy to use

  ### 36. Buffer is mostly great

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Buffer?**

Great for small businesses. Fairly affordable for the number of channels you can connect for an annual or monthly fee compared to other comparable software.

**What do you dislike about Buffer?**

If you are working with multiple channels, they have now disabled the ability to rearrange them. I like mine alphabetical by client and then listed in the same order based on what challennels that client has (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Instagram). They've taken this away so now I have clients mixed in with other clients and have to hunt for the right channel. This makes it way too easy to accidentally schedule on the wrong account. I have 100% canceled our subscription and moved to a competitor for this specific feature change which I've requested they edit several times.

**What problems is Buffer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do like the queue feature so I don't have to take time to select a specific time to schedule a post each day.

  ### 37. Its has alot of great features to handle of your social media accounts in onw place

Buffer tends to encounter bugs or glitches with Instagram, so sometimes the Instagram posts do not post on time or at all, so fixing this glitch would be effective.

Apart from this, this is a nifty time-saving tool because we can create, schedule, and post content to all the related social media pages from a single dashboard.

The analytics tool seems much limited and basic. While accessing its more advanced social media analysis tool costs extra, and that's what I dislike about Buffer.

Buffer is a problem solver when managing multiple social media profiles from a single dashboard (You can create, schedule, and post a single post over multiple social media pages from a single account of Buffer).

The pricing is a bit high for someone who is just starting his business and wants to promote business online. Also, most of the tasks can be manually done on social media platforms. Basically, Buffer is to provide ease in digital marketing efforts. You can do most of things manually, obviously it will take time and efforts.
