## Buddy Reviews
  ### 1. Easy to Use and Performant

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

Buddy is one of the easiest-to-use CI/CD platforms I have used. The GUI is well-made and no abstruse YAML is needed. Pipelines also execute incredibly fast, compared to other CI/CD platforms' machines with the same specs.

Buddy has a relatively high cost compared to its competitors. The "Free" plan is rather restrictive, and costs grow rapidly.

I use Buddy to continually test and execute my code without needing to manage my own servers and infrastructure.

  ### 2. I really like how the Buddy works

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shahin S. | Full Stack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

It has a user-friendly UI, very easy to set up pipelines. Before Buddy I tried various CI/CD tools, but this is another level, it has a very short learning curve.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

Pricing is a little bit spicy but besides that, I don't have any complaints right now.

**Recommendations to others considering Buddy:**

Give it a try, you will like it. I am not a CI/CD expert, but at the end of the day I was able to set up a workflow, it is so easy to use.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used Buddy to deploy my project to the production server. Whenever I merge to the main branch it automatically publishes my changes.

  ### 9. Extremely easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** João N. | Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

Extremely easy to use.
I created two pipelines using distinct technologies, Kubernetes + .NET and Node + FTP server and everything was working in less than 1 hour.
As a free user, you can use all the tools they provide even for enterprise users.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

As a free user, you can use 1GB of ram per run, so maybe you will need to change some settings on your build process to fit this limit.

**Recommendations to others considering Buddy:**

If you want something running in minutes, Buddy is the best option by far.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm currently new in the DevOps world, so I'm using Buddy because they provide me all the tools I need to ship my app without expending time using many different tools.

  ### 10. Easiest CI/CD platform to use with user-friendly interface

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan F. | Software Engineer In Test, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

Ability to configure the CI pipeline with GUI. What's more, the GUI used by buddy can be very user-friendly, and thus I think buddy is the most accessible CI/CD platform I've ever used. Add ons for integration with other tools also vary, and we also make it easy to configure via YAML

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

I'm not sure about the dislike, and I don't think I have any major issues when using Buddy. a minor issue is that I was surprised because all the configuration can be done in GUI mode, which is a bit of a hassle for me that mostly usually done by writing in YAML

**Recommendations to others considering Buddy:**

In case you have no experience with writing YAML for configuration, Buddy can be the first alternative to choose

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Continuous integration for API testing automation process and monitoring API tests periodically (every day and recurrent). Besides that, the problem that has been resolved is that it automatically sends notifications to the Slack channel if something goes wrong or an error occurs, which the developers will also know about that

  ### 11. Does what it says on the box.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

The UI is intuitive and easy to follow. Documentation is great. Zero to hero in minutes.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

Nothing at this point in time, it's a solid product.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

monorepo and container builds. Deployment hasn't been moved to Buddy yet.

  ### 12. Easy to get up and running!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

The ease with which I got my first pipeline up was great! And adding actions was a no-brainer.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

A responsive UI (in terms of screen size) would be a nice feature. It's not uncommon for me to check up on builds when away from my desk.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've got one pipeline for building and unit testing on commit. And one manual pipeline for pack and push of a NuGet package. Having these steps as pipelines saves time, and helps avoid human error.

  ### 13. One of the best deployment tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Parth P. | ingénieur produit, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

I love the functionality of auto-deployment based on the Git branch of your repository. It does it quickly and gives you all the logs while deploying it. Using buddy is best if one is using SSH for deployments.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

I won't say I dislike something in buddy because it does its job. If someone is looking for a specific solution, then the buddy is one of the best deployment tools.

**Recommendations to others considering Buddy:**

If you are looking to deploy multiple projects daily, then Buddy is what you are looking for.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using buddy for my daily hobby projects and auto deployments on servers. Buddy benefits me, saving time logging into the server and causing human errors. That's just great!

  ### 14. Beginner Friendly & Versatile CI/CD Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

It's super easy and quick to pick up with minimal knowledge about build and deployment systems. I was able to quickly take over a development project that was currently using buddy for its deployment. The learning curve wasn't as steep as other tools out there so I was able to worry less on figuring out UI and worry more about my deployment process/planning

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

There isn't much that I would say I don't like about the product. If I had to come up with something I'd probably like to have more tutorial/blog posts to help fin

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am building my application and deploying it to a server. It allows us to version control on live and stage servers and catch any fatal errors that could be encountered during the build process

  ### 15. Dead Simple Deployment Pipelines

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle C. | Senior Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2020

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

Buddy offers unlimited repositories hosted on their platform (or connected through a third party like Github) and unlimited pipelines for deployments anywhere you need them to be.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

While their site is very clean and simple, it does take some getting used to for getting around.

**Recommendations to others considering Buddy:**

Buddy scales to your needs - our company has a small team of developers that may be working and deploying 10-20 repositories during a given workday. However, we aren't constantly deploying so the minimum settings on the Hyper plan were plenty enough for us.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Buddy solved two issues for our company: hitting the repository limits at our past host and unlimited deployment locations.

  ### 16. Awesome service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mario R. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

Ease of use.
Good UI self explanatory so it's really easy to get in to.
Love how good Pipelines works with GitHub.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

So far no cons and I use it daily for couple of months.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Started to use it for first time couple of months ago as a part of a team and got in workflow instantly.
Boosted productivity :)

  ### 17. Impressively easy and intuitive workflows, customizable for all needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emmanuelle Alejandro G. | Software Test Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

The free tier lets you test most of the features, and it's an excellent start for those found in a learning process or just to start personal projects

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

Nothing much to dislike so far, at least personally; Perhaps some configurations are a little daunting at first, but that just sounds like a good problem to have with the proper documentation and assistance

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workflow automation at the tip of your fingers and in a strike and a great first approach to CI/CD workflows, which instantly increases productivity as well as performance

  ### 18. Seemless and a lifesaver

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben S. | I, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

Just set and forget! After all the initial setup is complete, you can just let it do its thing.

I'm using it for a side project so I am not in the codebase every day. It is gaining traction so I had to jump back onto it, but rather than remembering countless steps to deploy properly to the live site, I just had to click a button. So easy!

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

There is a little bit of a learning curve but that is true of all new ways of working. There haven't been any standout negatives so far, which is great.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deployment to staging and then live. Before buddy I had to remember countless steps to deploy properly AND go through a lot of manual processing. Buddy takes the pain away and just does it for me.

  ### 19. First time using and Buddy made DevOps SO SIMPLE!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andy T. | Owner, Creative Director, Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

The ease of use in setting up a deployment pipeline. I literally was up and running with a github deployment in less than 5 minutes.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

I don't have anything negative to say about it.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have different client projects I manage, many with different deployment needs. Buddy is so easy to customize for each project and environment, it's the only solution I need.

  ### 20. It's ridiculously simple to get started

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

Buddy is very easy to use, which means there's a low barrier to entry into CI/CD.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

Yet to find something that I dislike about it.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I want to test scripts written on my local machine on other environments I don't have to stress about moving the work.

  ### 21. It just works

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James B. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

Setting up projects and importing from git sources like GitHub is incredibly easy and quick, along with being able to intelligently detect which language you're deploying, showing you shortcuts for commands to get it out there as quickly as possible. In a few minutes after pushing a change to a repo, it's reflected on my servers just like that. Simply an amazing tool

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

Not sure what there is to dislike honestly, however some of the documentation is a little daunting to first-time users of CI/CD tools.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick deployments to infrastructure without needing to constantly remote in and play with commands or git to get things working.

  ### 22. One of most impressive, easy to configure and responsive automation platform. I Love it!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheher Yar Khan K. | Senior Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

The most interesting thing I found in Buddy Works is easy configuration and quick deployment

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

To be honest, there is nothing that I did not like about it.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Continous integration and continuous deployment

  ### 23. Buddy is the best CI/CD platform I've ever used!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Irfan P. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

We can set up a pipeline easily with GUI and YAML. It's very easy to learn how to configure the pipeline in Buddy.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

Sometimes the GUI mode is buggy but it can be solved in YAML

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create CI/CD deployment application to kubernetes cluster. The benefit is buddy is very easy to use and easy to learn for everyone

  ### 24. Takes the pain out of automation and deployments... Oh, and it's FAST!!!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nate F. | WordPress Expert, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

I love the clean interface, the number of integrated services, and the way I can check the status of all my deployments easily and quickly.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

There isn't much to dislike about this platform... Maybe there are too many integrations?? 😂

**Recommendations to others considering Buddy:**

You should give it a shot, just five minutes. If you need more time, then it's a good thing you're using Buddy, because you probably have an intense workflow that could benefit from a product like this!

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly there's an automation problem solved here. Buddy gives an awesome to the user so I/we don't have to mess with config files and formatting.

  ### 25. Easy to use, good support and definetly an alternative to popular CIs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

Support was really nice, and they do check on you even on free tier. The enviroment was easy to set, and overall the hooks worked properly

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

Maybe a bit pricy for me, it is just a team of three people, but probably something they are willing to chat up. More tiers would be welcomed, the community is still a bit small.

Also, the free tier has a limited ram which made me encounter a couple of issues with my projects there :/

**Recommendations to others considering Buddy:**

Be aware of the spam email, sometimes it is too much... but overall it is ok.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basic CI, check up on builds after each PR, exporting releases to a bucket so the team can access them. In the future i'm plannning on working on automated tests and running them here as well.

  ### 26. Great tool for automate process easily and with a pretty UI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vicente G. | Co-Founder & CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

The clean and pretty UI, you can start to automate your deployment process without a lot of previous knowledge (like another old tools)

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

I use in my company a paid plan, and I'm delighted. I'm also using Buddy in the free version on personal projects

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast automation of the deployment process,

  ### 27. A great LoCode solution to DevOps

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael A. | Technical Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

Buddy allows our developers to create pipelines for building and deploying applications rapidly.
The user interface and dashboards give our development team visibility of the state of the project builds and deployments across multiple environments, including development, staging, and production. Buddy has excellent integration with Slack and other tools, which increase transparency across the business. As a bonus, we use Buddy as an uptime tool as pipelines can run on a schedule every minute.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

The Buddy UI is incompatible with Buddy YAML configurations, which makes it a little difficult to keep projects consistent and means the pipelines are not in version control. It would also be nice to have support for split artifact-based builds and deployments similar to Atlassian Bamboo.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Quickly putting together pipelines during development.
- The UI makes it very easy to visualize the process and helps to track down issues.

  ### 28. Given just a try and now I like it.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hitesh R. | Co Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

In a single word, it is the "Interface" that I like much more compared to any other website that I used to use daily.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

Nothing much as of now. I was only trying PHP application without me using automated unit testing.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am trying to make the flow automated and also an option to revert the published version in case something goes wrong.

  ### 29. Buddy is as good as it looks!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua F. | Co-Founder & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

Design is really nice, its flexibility and intuitiveness

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

Auth managagement for some repos is not well handled, or errors are not documented well

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Well, automating container build for our reporsitorys

  ### 30. CI is easy when I've got a Buddy by my side!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dani B. | Junior Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

Buddy really makes CI effortless. I'm a new developer, and it's very easy to spend more time reading documentation for tools than actually shipping code. Buddy isn't like that. Pipelines are easy to set up and manage, I can automate all steps of the build/deploy process, and it's all SO easy.

Everything I've done so far has been on the free plan also. Once my portfolio grows, I won't hesitate in paying for the next tier, as the amount of time and stress Buddy saves is totally worth it. 👍

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

I haven't really experienced any major issues so far. On the free plan you do have some data/storage limits that you can run into, but I think my issues were caused by my own lack of knowledge/experience to be honest as once I had cleared the cache and corrected a few of the steps, everything worked as expected.

**Recommendations to others considering Buddy:**

Give it a go. It's seriously SO easy.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making CI easy. Previously I had to manually build, upload and deploy changes for a couple of hobby projects of mine, but now, I just push the commits to GitHub, wait a few seconds and like magic, it works! Buddy has saved me lots of time and means I can iterate and deploy faster.

  ### 31. Very user-friendly and soothing to use! Love it.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Faraz A. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

Buddy simplifies the automation workflow for our apps.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

Price per concurrent pipelines is a bit expensive, but On-premise solution can remedy it.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a few web apps that run on multiple servers behind a load-balancer. Each time we used to have an update, we needed to update the source code by ssh into each server. Buddy automates this for us.

  ### 32. Great even for people just starting out

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian T. | Website Designer/Developer/Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

I personally like that Buddy is fairly straightforward to use. It doesn't take countless tutorials to just get started. My absolute favorite thing is that Buddy actually has a free plan so that small developers like myself don't have to make a big commitment just to try out the tool.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

My dislikes aren't too bad since I did get used to them using Buddy after using it a couple of times. However, if I would have to say something it would be that some improvements to the UX would be great for first-time users. It didn't take long to figure out where everything was located, but I can imagine some users struggling a bit at first to get used to where everything was located

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There wasn't a real problem that I was trying to solve while using Buddy, besides wanting to learn how to become more efficient in my development process. Being able to automate certain tasks allowed me to have more time to focus on what I actually wanted to do, which is developing software.

  ### 33. I can't imagine working on development without Buddy now

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Argzon H. | UI/UX Designer & Front-End Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

It is so easy to set up any pipeline with their pre-defined actions. Also, a lot of options to make the pipeline as you want. And using a GUI made my job pretty easy.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

It really isn't anything that I don't like.

**Recommendations to others considering Buddy:**

Writing a YAML file is very hard and needs a lot of experience. With Buddy.works you will only work on GUI which really helps a lot in preparing the pipelines you need. It is so easy to separate your pipelines in projects filter them with labels and so on.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm a lead developer for multi projects and setting up pipelines properly and in a very fast way helped the process of web development a lot. I can easily track my deployments, set conditions for pipelines to run, notifications, etc.

  ### 34. The Perfect CI/CD system

**Reviewed by:** Chase G. | Freelance Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

It's powerful, flexible, and possibly most importantly, highly visual and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

Getting your repo webhooks configured correctly can be a bit tricky --especially if you're not the repo owner.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating testing and multiple deployments for websites into a single pipeline has shaved tangible time off my workweek.

  ### 35. It does the Job!!!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor N. | Frontend Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

I'm able to create all kinds of pipelines with an incredible simplicity

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

With a free account, we are limit to few actions because of the free space that we have available, and every time we run the deploy, we have to clear everything before.

**Recommendations to others considering Buddy:**

Awesome tool!!!

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

An automatic deploy to the server every time I commit changes to GitHub

  ### 36. Great solution for small and big companies!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** René L. | Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

It's really easy to get started with Buddy, pipelines are very easy to setup and in a few minutes you got yourself a automated deployment server

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

Not much, it's only unfortunate that Google Chat is missing in the notification methods.

**Recommendations to others considering Buddy:**

Buddy is a relief for every developer. It's very easy to setup a pipeline for a server and there are tons for possibilities on how and when to build or deploy your website. We use Buddy for every website/shop since 2020 and it saved us lots of time!

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 37. Very flexible, great UX

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alessio R. | Managing Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

We've been using Buddy for a limited time (no more than 2 months in production), but so far I'm impressed. It's easy to setup, very flexible, its UI is very easy and the custom support has been very responsive and helpful. Docker support is great. We haven't tried some of the most advanced features yet (tests, etc), but it looks like they'll be easy to setup just as well.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

Documentation website is a bit messy - it looks more like a collection of articles rather than an organized KB, and I'd like the inline help to be expanded, rather. Also, I'd love for iOS/Android apps to be released. No major cons though!

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating our releases in general, and especially building Docker containers and pushing them to Amazon ECS with one click.

  ### 38. Sly's Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sylvester A. | Network System Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

They make the ci/cd process so easy. I have used a lot of ci/cd products, and this is the best.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

I wish they supported docker-compose but hope it comes soon.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a new company, and sitting up auto deployment has been a breeze.

  ### 39. Super easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Denys R. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

- Easy to use
- Super fast in compare with Github Actions/CircleCI/Bitrise
- Intuative dashboard
- Cool support
Configuration with GUI or yaml file. I prefer using GUI because with it I can built any scenario i need.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

Well, everything is excellent. Only on one thing, I can complain - price. But i suppose its ok for unlimited time of use. So no major disadvantages.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previous CI/CD services were a bit complicated to use. This one is perfect for teams with no DevOps specialist.

  ### 40. A real gamechanger

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

Buddy is an excellent tool for any developer to have in their arsenal. I am still very much a beginner in the way of DevOps and making pipelines. However, with their user-friendly GUI and helpful and friendly support team, I have quickly found my way into making tasty pipelines with my hosting solutions. It's been a great learning curve!

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

I think the only downside to Buddy is the steep jump between the free and the paid plan. It would be nice to see a more basic paid plan that would bridge the price gap.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Buddy works well with docker and you can easily take the hassle out of building lengthy yaml files with their intuitive yaml builder.

  ### 41. The best solution for SAS products

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas P. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

Buddy is simple, easy to learn and very efficient, my company works with a SAAS e-commerce platform and Buddy came into our lives to save time and money.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

Nothing is perfect, Buddy has no a integration with Magento for fast deploy and we have to adapt.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We problem before the Buddy was, how to continuous delivery easy, the answer is, with Buddy, the facilities for create a routine of deploy send notifications and maintain all in order, saves a lot of time and money and resolve our problem.

  ### 42. Buddy takes the guess work out of CI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

Buddy makes integration insanely simple!

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

Documentation could be improved. But other than that, no issues!

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With our Tech stack being a little 'random', it's nice to have a tool that works well with everything from .Net to React.

  ### 43. The easiest CI/CD tool I've ever seen

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rehmat A. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

I am using Buddy to automate the testing and deployment of code on my several clients' projects. I am a freelance developer and Buddy saves me a lot of time when it comes to deploying code to different environments. The simplicity of the platform allowed me to use it even when I was new to CI/CD. If you aren't comfortable configuring complex CI/CD flows, Buddy should be your first and last option. Highly recommended.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

Nothing to dislike about Buddy. I simply love it :)

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Testing and CI/CD.

  ### 44. Simplifies the complicated parts of deployment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cara G. | Head of Web Development, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

Buddy has saved countless hours of deployment set up. It is the Zapier of DevOps - making it easy to connect together multiple services to run seamlessly together. It's the tool I wish I had 10 years ago.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

The UI could be a little easier to navigate between projects, but otherwise no complaints.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using it to deploy a headless Wordpress instance to static generated site, and for deployment of changes from our git repo to live site for other Wordpress sites we run. We've also used it to set up automated backups for our development server and save any updated files with versioning to Google Drive.

  ### 45. Underestimated CI tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ingo K. | Fullstack Software Artist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

Simple but powerful CI with intuitive UI. It can do everything you want to accomplish. From simple ssh or bash scripts to cloud operations.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

The OAuth 2.0 integration for Google can be improved. Also copying the Service account json to every action is a bit tedious.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Buddy to build Docker images and publish them to Google ECR. Also configuring Helm charts to run in Google EKS. On top of that some bash scripts and traditional CI is used for the infrastructure.

  ### 46. Buddy makes your life easier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fredy L. | Board Member, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

Buddy is as powerful as simple, it has helped my team to automate multiple tasks that required supervision of the dev/ops team

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

Sometimes its easy to get lost on that many options

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From getting regular users to login and automate testing scripts to migrate data and files across multiple environments buddy can do a lot more than simple deployments

  ### 47. Made my deployment (and rollbacks) extremely easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam S. | S, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

The ease of use. It's trivial to create a deployment pipeline.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

As of yet, I have no complaints with Buddy.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Build, deployment, testing, rollbacks

  ### 48. Beginner friendly

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kavan M. | Junior Full Stack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2020

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

Buddy has great documentation which helped me, essentially a beginner to DevOps set up my own automated CI/CD pipelines.
Love the free option. This helps junior developers like me immensely.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

When I adopt a SAAS platform I would like to see myself using it for the long term. I would like to see a slightly cheaper option in the Pro level.

**Recommendations to others considering Buddy:**

Buddy will be a good choice for your project(s) and you will not regret it. Give it a try.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Buddy I don’t have to worry about FTPing my files every time I want to push up a change. Instead it’s very easy once I set up the pipeline. I feel like I can concentrate on developing more without worrying about how to get my code out there.

  ### 49. Anyone can start using Buddy - ideal for startups and small teams.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rishabh L. | DevOps Engineer

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

Anyone can work and maintain the pipelines on buddy. The developers can maintain the pipelines, rotate keys, change deployment locations, without the explicit interference by the DevOps team. Also, with very fine access control, there is little chance of accidents to happen.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

When we switch from YAML configuration to GUI, the YAML takes precedence over GUI and all the pipelines made via GUI are lost.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We run almost everything that can be automated on Buddy. The best part is, we can run the scripts locally, inside Buddy, instead of spinning another server for it. This makes things very easy to use and maintain.

  ### 50. Simple CI with fast setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avery D. | Chief Technology Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Buddy?**

It's extremely simple and straightforward to set up your deployment. It takes just a few clicks and has very easy to use UI. As someone who hates configuring things in a YML file it's extremely helpful to have everything be done and setup with integrations with third-party platforms like Amazon or Slack. They provide a huge amount of integrations and you can request them and it seems they are really responsive on the support side. Overall Buddy is my favorite tool for CI at the moment and will be using it for my next few projects.

**What do you dislike about Buddy?**

The cost could be a little lower and the build speeds could be faster but there is nothing extremely dislikable.

**What problems is Buddy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use buddy to do deployments based on commits sent to different branches. This has made setting up beta and qe servers extremely easy and made my only deployment workflow to be submitting a PR to a specific branch.
