It's good at what it does - prototyping **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2025 **What do you like best about Bubble?** I'm a software developer, and would prefer to just write software. However if you want to start VERY quickly, and not deal with authentication / accounts, database management, hosting, etc, then this tool is pretty good. **What do you dislike about Bubble?** There's a lot of "quirks" that you'll just have to learn to make it work. The order or methodology for writing Bubble expressions can sometimes be extremely fidgety. Also, it sometimes appears "unstable" and you'll spend a while trying to work out what is wrong with how you're trying to do something, when the answer is "refresh the page" to make something work. **What problems is Bubble solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are building v1 of a web product. It's very good a prototyping, building something quick, and then building something slightly different. We've managed to do this very quickly. However, at no point do I want to stay on Bubble forever. I don't envy the process of setting up our own infrastructure etc, given we are a bootstrapped startup, but it will eventually have to happen. ### 2. There is a ton of extensibility and there is a ton of opportunity for established players to make money off new people trying to learn the platform. **What do you dislike about Bubble?** Too bloated. You can basically do anything with it but its going to be a pain doing it and the pricing is far from affordable. **What problems is Bubble solving and how is that benefiting you?** Its a solution for people to build complexed apps without coding but with all the effort it takes to learn bubble, you may as well learn how to code. ## Bubble Discussions -
