I really like BrowserStack for cross-device testing. It's great that I can test all the devices that are available without needing to go to a physical device, which is super convenient. I can test the responsiveness of my projects on different mobile and glass screen devices. I often only have one or two devices during development, so it's crucial to ensure things work across various browsers and devices. I rely on BrowserStack for that.

So sometimes, it happens that when testing on local devices, especially when the website is not live or is in a dev environment, it's difficult to test with browsers on BrowserStack. There are extensions available to help with this, but they're not working all the time. I think this is one aspect where BrowserStack can improve.

**What do you like best about BrowserStack?**

What I like most about Browserstack is how quickly it lets me validate features in real conditions without depending on anyone else. As a Product Manager, I often need to sanity check flows before sharing with QA or stakeholders, and having instant access to real devices and browsers saves a lot of back-and-forth. It's less about "testing" and more about quickly confirming that what we built actually works the way users will experience it.

It also helps me make faster decisions during development. For me as a Product Manager, the benefit is very direct. I don't have to wait for full QA cycles to understand if something is working or not, I can quickly check key flows myself. This helps me catch issues early, give clearer feedback to the team, and make faster decisions. It also reduces back-and-forth with developers because I can see and explain problems more clearly. **What do you like best about BrowserStack?**

BrowserStack has become an essential part of our testing workflow. The thing I appreciate most is the massive device and browser coverage — being able to test on real devices across hundreds of browser and OS combinations without maintaining any physical device lab is a huge time-saver.
The Live Testing feature is incredibly intuitive; I can spin up a real browser session in seconds and debug issues on the spot. The Automate feature integrates seamlessly with our CI/CD pipeline, which means we catch cross-browser issues early before they reach production.
I also really value the speed and reliability of the sessions — minimal lag even when testing on remote devices. The Accessibility Testing and Percy visual testing add-ons are great bonuses that go beyond just cross-browser checks.
Overall, BrowserStack removes the infrastructure headache entirely and lets the team focus on what matters — shipping quality software.

**What do you dislike about BrowserStack?**

While BrowserStack is a fantastic tool overall, there are a few pain points worth mentioning.
The pricing is probably the biggest concern — it can get quite expensive, especially for larger teams or when you need multiple parallel sessions. For small startups or individual developers, the cost can feel steep compared to the value received at lower tiers.
Occasionally, session stability can be an issue — I've experienced random disconnections or slow load times during live testing sessions, which can be frustrating when you're in the middle of debugging a tricky issue.
The queue times during peak hours for certain devices can also be a bottleneck, particularly for older or more niche device/OS combinations that are in high demand.
Lastly, while the dashboard has improved over time, the onboarding experience for new team members could be smoother — there's a slight learning curve when setting up Automate with complex CI/CD configurations.
These are relatively minor gripes given the overall quality of the platform, but they are areas where BrowserStack could improve to deliver an even better experience.

BrowserStack solves this problem entirely by providing instant access to a cloud-based infrastructure of real devices and browsers. This means we no longer need to invest in physical hardware or worry about keeping devices updated with the latest OS versions.
The biggest benefit has been the reduction in production bugs. By catching cross-browser compatibility issues early in the development cycle — before code reaches production — we've significantly reduced the number of bug reports coming in from end users on specific devices or browsers.

I like how easy it is to get started with BrowserStack. It doesn't have a steep learning curve, which makes quick onboarding possible for our testers. It's really fruitful to have such a platform because it allows testers to focus on testing rather than worrying about the peculiarities of the testing platform itself. It's quite helpful because I don't have to worry about the platform when I can really concentrate on the testing process.

We have observed that the speed takes a serious hit when we test through a VPN or when the net slightly goes down a notch.

It's both cost-effective and time-saving, as having a physical device lab for testing becomes a pain for any engineering team. The initial loadup is very slow and could be improved drastically. Also, for small Indian teams, I hope subscriptions can be brought down or more flexible payment methods could be available. Initial POC took some time to adjust, and the first-time understanding can be challenging.

The startup time is really slow, if it was much faster I would have rated it really better. Yes for a small scale teams as mine, maybe pricing can be lower or some options to have flexible payments. As a first step, the POC had some complications. The team had to spend some time setting up and understanding.

What I like most about BrowserStack is its strong automation support and real-device testing.

Running automated tests in parallel really speeds up our regression cycles and fits smoothly into CI/CD workflows. It helps us move faster without compromising quality.

What I like most about BrowserStack is how easy it makes real device testing without actually needing to maintain a physical device lab. In our day-to-day work, we have to verify features across different browsers, OS versions, and devices, and doing that manually would be a nightmare.

I can quickly open a session on a specific mobile device or browser version and reproduce issues that users might be facing in different regions or environments. This has helped us catch bugs that never showed up in local testing.

Another thing I really appreciate is how smoothly it fits into our workflow. We use it not just for manual testing but also during quick validations before releases. The ability to switch between devices, test responsiveness, and even check geo-specific behavior saves a lot of time.

One thing that can be a bit frustrating with BrowserStack is the occasional lag or performance delay, especially when using real devices for a longer session. Sometimes there’s a slight input delay or slower response compared to using a physical device, which can slow down debugging a bit.
Another issue I’ve noticed is session stability. There have been times when sessions disconnect unexpectedly, and you have to restart everything. It’s not very frequent, but when you’re in the middle of testing something critical, it can break your flow.

Before using BrowserStack, it was always a challenge to ensure consistent behavior everywhere. Now, we can quickly test on a wide range of real devices and browsers, which gives a lot more confidence before releases.

The best thing is that we can do a lot even with the free version. I am sure we will hit the "ceeling" regarding the free options soon and that is ok, because I would really like to check the AI capabilities of the sofware.

**What do you dislike about BrowserStack?**

Pricing. It is a bit too expensive for use, because my first choice was actually XRay, as it is fully integrated into Jira. If Browserstack was a bit cheaper, this would be my first choice.

Saving test cases. to have them in one place, to be able to track what has been done, tested, executed and what is the overall status of the test cases. This is something that we really missed until we started using browsserstack.

**What do you like best about BrowserStack?**

What I like best about BrowserStack is how easily I can test websites on different devices without actually having those devices. I mostly use the Live testing feature, and it really helps me quickly check how a site looks on different browsers and screen sizes in one go.

The UI is simple enough to get used to. Switching between devices is pretty quick, and once you start using it regularly, it becomes part of your normal testing flow without much effort.

In terms of integrations, it connects well with common testing tools, which is helpful if you’re working in a team or planning to move more into automation.

It has definitely made my workflow faster because I don’t have to depend on physical devices or set up different environments. I can just log in and start testing, which saves a lot of time during daily work.

That said, performance is something that could be better. I’ve faced delays while scrolling or interacting with the screen, and sometimes it doesn’t respond immediately, which can be a bit frustrating when you’re trying to test smoothly.

Pricing-wise, I think it makes sense if you’re regularly doing cross-browser testing, because the device access itself is a big advantage. But the slow performance at times does make you question it a little.

Onboarding is not complicated—you can pretty much start using it without much help, and the documentation is there if needed.

I haven’t really used any AI-related features, but for me the main value is still the access to multiple devices and how much time it saves overall.

What I dislike about BrowserStack is mainly the performance issues. There are times when the response is quite slow, especially during simple actions like scrolling or interacting with elements. It breaks the flow of testing and makes even basic checks take longer than they should.

Another issue I’ve faced is with screen behavior—sometimes while scrolling with the mouse, the screen unexpectedly rotates to horizontal view, and due to the lag, it takes time to bring it back to normal. It becomes a bit frustrating when you’re trying to test quickly.

I’ve also noticed occasional UI inconsistencies, where the website doesn’t render exactly the way it would on a real device. At times, elements like the search bar or input fields don’t work properly, which makes it hard to fully trust the results.

From a UI/UX perspective, while it’s easy to use overall, these small glitches and delays affect the experience. Considering the pricing, I feel the performance should be more stable. When you’re paying for a tool like this, you expect smoother execution.

I haven’t had much interaction with support, but when these issues happen, it does make you feel the need for quicker resolution or better stability.

Overall, it’s a very useful tool, but these issues can slow down testing and impact reliability.

Browser stack provides a lot of capabilities that support automation, such as image injection and local testing enablement. These features help us automate tricky scenarios, reduce manual overhead, and increase our automation test coverage. The interactive debugging in app-automate is also an added benefit; it sometimes saves time and helps us narrow down script issues more quickly.

Sometimes the UI gets stuck on app-live, and the session logs out or expires before the configured session timeout. Also, the app’s automated new dashboard UI isn’t very easy to understand or use compared to the old one.

If it's necessary to do bug testing a phone then BrowserStack is a comfortable option that allows use of a keyboard and mouse, obviously easier than tapping on a phone for hours.

It is wonky however, as there is frequently a bit of a lag and also much difficulty pasting from a clipboard. That can lead to frustration as it is often necessary to make multiple attempts to copy/paste into the app. Also, nothing can be saved for a new session, such as bookmarks. I honestly went back to using my real phone for testing because of these issues. The work I needed to do requires uploading photos and documents into our web-based platform, which can't really be done on the test phone (I had to use the half dozen or so "office" scene or Browserstack images in Photos on the test phone. I could not upload documents in the testing environment.

So browsers, for the browser, we already have the support from the team. But, if we can get from APM or export, then it will be help.
