**What do you like best about BriteCore?**

The system is cloud-based so backup and system maintenance is handled by BriteCore, not by the client. Also, the system is continually being updated and improved. There is no constant "version upgrading" necessary. Last, BriteCore's suite includes all the tools we need to run our P&C insurance business: policy management, quoting and rating, printing, billing, claims management, web portal, mobile app, etc.

**What do you dislike about BriteCore?**

Sometimes BriteCore's non-critical support tickets take longer than expected to be addressed. Generally, the critical tickets are handled relatively quickly.

**What problems is BriteCore solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our legacy system was built in the 1990s and provided our policy, billing, and claims management. Our quoting system was from a 3rd party that was not well integrated. Also, accepting traditional electronic payments was difficult. Last, the legacy system had no "self-service" functionality for our policyholders.

Britecore solved those issues by integrating all the tools we need into one system. Plus its billing system has solved the electronic payment issue. Also, through BriteCore's web portal and mobile app, our policyholders now have many self-service options available.

**What do you like best about BriteCore?**

The web based functionality hosted in the cloud provides our company the means to operate outside the box.  Being able to grant access to auditors, regulators and reinsurance partners to our system is extremely beneficial toward the overall process of how our company performs.  The system provides a tremendously high level of disaster recovery benefit which has provided the opportunity to create a disaster recovery plan that will allow our company to be up and running within a matter of minutes in the event something would occur to our office.  The user friendliness of BriteCore is such that minimal computer skills are necessary for users to be able to appropriately be a skillful user.

**What do you dislike about BriteCore?**

Very little about the system, from my perspective, is disliked.  If there is any element of the system that can use some enhancement that would be the tracking of reinsurance claims from a reserving and recovery standpoint.

**Recommendations to others considering BriteCore:**

If anyone is looking for one of the most technically advanced insurance processing system they will probably not find any better system.

**What problems is BriteCore solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For a long period of time it was our desire to offer our agents a web based portal where direct online quoting, application submission, live changes to active policies and claims reporting could occur.  BriteCore solved this problem for our company.  In addition, BriteCore provided our office the ability to be paperless, remote working and a high level of efficiency.  It also provided us to the ability to work with service vendors that otherwise would not be available to our company at an affordable cost.  Currently, we are receiving over 47% of premium payments electronically which is a fully automated process that does not have to be touched by humans.  This frees up a tremendous amount of staffing time that allows us to dedicate their sources to other projects.  Just a few of many benefits we have realized.

**What do you like best about BriteCore?**

We have been a client of Britecore for about 13 years. The software is great because you have everything in one platform: policy management, claims management, reports and agent quoting. It is a cloud based system, so it is accessible at any time. One of the best things is they are constantly innovating and those innovations are accessible to the Briteocre community. They have great customer support.

**What do you dislike about BriteCore?**

There isn't anything that I dislike about Britecore. They have served us well over the last 13 years

**What problems is BriteCore solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When we signed on to Britecore, we found an $80,000 reporting difference from our own software. That was justifcation of why we needed a better system that can give us accurate reporting. Having Britecore also helped us through 2 mergers. One of the best things is having the reporting capability to supply the State with information they need for yearly filings as well as 5 year audits.

**What do you like best about BriteCore?**

Ease of use.  Onboarding a new user for the carrier & an agency/producer.  Easy to navigate. Agent experience for quoting and application submission.  Search feature for contact information, policy, claims.  The ability to integrate with many partner vendors.  The BriteCore community of peers.  The cloud based solution provides the ability to access 24/7 anywhere by the carrier and agents securely.  Implementation of the lines builder was efficient and met the product and company needs.

**What do you dislike about BriteCore?**

Reporting functionality needs improvement.  I see an initiative to work on this.  Reinsurance tracking in the system with claims, premium, loss and lae recovery.

**What problems is BriteCore solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We sought a solution to replace our legacy policy administration system.  We needed a total suite/solution.  The company completed an RFP process with a consultant and identified BriteCore as the best partner to meet the company's needs for current and future growth.

**What do you like best about BriteCore?**

We value the real-time reports we use and those available to our agencies.  You can easily monitor your company's book of business, growth, production, commissions and losses.  The integrations we have implemented are true time savers such as a printing/mailing vendor and inspections.  The team we work with is outstanding and very knowledgeable.  During our implementation, they worked extremely hard to make sure everything was setup the way we requested.

**What do you dislike about BriteCore?**

There really is no down side to Britecore but it is necessary to learn Quickbooks on-line.

**What problems is BriteCore solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously, it was difficult to find time for everything.  We are a small office with just four full-time employees and we service 25 agencies and over 3,400 policies.   With Britecore we will become more automated and this will provide additional time to work on projects and also make more agency visits.

With BriteCore being cloud based, it provides our company with the ability to work in the office and remotely.  The system is very user friendly and easy to navigate. The ability to integrate with other vendors is very efficient and allows our company to continue to change and grow to meet our policyholder needs.

BriteCore has played an important role for our company's success since our launch and as long as it continues with enhancements, I have no complaints.

BriteCore is continuing to enhance its reporting and the implementation of the dashboards.  This benefits our company greatly by being able to provide data when needed and to make informed decisions on our products.

**What do you like best about BriteCore?**

Before BriteCore we were doing all the billing manually and it would take a full day just for that.  Now we come in every morning and it automatically prints them off and has to fold and mail them. There is always someone that if we have a problem we can usually fix it in a day or 2.

**What do you dislike about BriteCore?**

We have only been using BriteCore for a little over a year.  So far, the only dislike we have with Britecore, is that we can not use it when the internet is down. But that's not britecore fault on that

We are able to process policy applications, payments, and claims more efficiently than our legacy system.

**What do you dislike about BriteCore?**

Wish that CAT and ML XOL reinsurance recoveries were automatically calculated but understand that each customer has a different reinsurance structure so it would be difficult as reinsurance is not one size fits all.

If we need to make forms, underwriting rules and/or rate changes, they are able to make changes to our lines quickly.

Dislike is a strong word and not applicable. While Customer support is generally favoralbe, occassaionlly a ticket is delayed.

Extremely good at keeping track of each and every possible piece of client information, even all the ones you don't really need or use every day.

**What do you dislike about BriteCore?**

It's honestly one of the slower, least intuitive pieces of software I've used at my workplace. Definitely needs to be more intuitive and have a more up to date interface

Managing member records, policy limits, terms, and exclusions. Realizing it's handy to have all those in the same location. It really is the anchor of the process.

One of the best things about BC is the ability of the support team to help work through issues that raise up. They're always prompt and make it incredibly easy to fix.

**What do you dislike about BriteCore?**

There are little quirks that pop up occasionally that seem unnecessary or inconsistent (having to click through unnecessary tabs in order to have the ability to rate & save for premium updates), but this typically doesn't affect functionality.

**What problems is BriteCore solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Britecore is where we hold all of our policy information, primarily. We get a pretty detailed vision as to what a customer's history is through all of BC's different views (customer information, billing history, previous policies, etc).

**What do you like best about BriteCore?**

It has excellent benefits that adapt to the work of each person from home, with a truly committed staff, which gives confidence to the client for transparent and honest communication, where the team is your strongest bulwark, very well positioned in the market with respect to its cost.

**What do you dislike about BriteCore?**

Your platform is a little outdated and makes the client redirect the product at times did not meet my expectations because I thought it was more based on the services and the needs of customers. We need more ideas to grow our personal projects.

**Recommendations to others considering BriteCore:**

I think they should create branches of the company to have more access to it and that all contact should not be for the networks and expand their work team so they can take on more clients. The rules of the same should not be so strict to avoid bureaucracy.

Growing as fast as a company has to adapt to the changes that entails to not be absorbed by the updates, although the team is doing everything possible to keep up with the pace to be able to align and do everything correctly

The quoting system is still slow and tedious. The hidden fields in the application stage make it difficult to easily quote and issue.

Added capability to be used through a rater for quotes. A separate page for application questions instead of being in the original quote like it is now.

Being able to find policy information online and quickly saves us time.

its a single platform merging core, digital solutions and data. The use of amazon web services is really helpful when an user is trying to learn cloud based platforms. The use of this platform has increased efficiency and security over the past few years. Overall, the use of this service has made the organizations to break the complex tasks in to simple tasks. API integration is the best.

**What do you dislike about BriteCore?**

As of now there are no issues with britecore. I myself used to keep track on reviews on britecore for past few years. The way they handled the reviews and configured the bugs gave me perceptions that, they are best at handling the customers. for example they solved the bugs with updates and included metadata in the service. The software is well organized as per market strategies with latest technology

Britecore is the best when facing complex tasks. this software makes your life easier.

Cost effective and less time consuming when we use this software with policy changes and tax automation. Will try to make this, ease of use in every team in our organization.

The maintenance of the product gets complicated with more data. It is not meta data driven.

The python code used in the API is very readable and any developer can build a service on top of it.

**What do you like best about BriteCore?**

From a configuration point-of-view, BriteCore is well suited to address the needs of most types of insurance products.  It is quick & easy to build the product, as configuration changes can be tested immediately (i.e. no build process is required).  The open source model is a plus, as we are able to leverage effort that others contribute to the base product (such as API integration).  The BriteCore team is easy to work with, which has allowed us to get to the market quickly. 

**What do you dislike about BriteCore?**

The product is currently not meta-data driven, which complicates the maintenance of each product.  Options within drop-downs and naming conventions of coverages are referenced via their description; if descriptions are updated, all integration points referencing these descriptions must be updated. 

**Recommendations to others considering BriteCore:**

The python code used to configure the rating is very readable; a technical BA resource should be able to embrace and build out with direction from the BriteCore team.

**What problems is BriteCore solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A key differentiator of the BriteCore system is the speed to market to which insurance products are made available to our customer base.  Our launch of Workers Compensation for two states was made available less than four months, after signing on with BriteCore.

**What do you like best about BriteCore?**

Farmers Fire came to Intuitive Web Solutions' (IWS) BriteCore team with our own heritage of in-house software development, having built and maintained our prior P&C carrier platform for several decades.  As we looked to the future, we wanted the maturity and stability that a vendor solution provides, while retaining the agility and flexibility that in-house development has always afforded us.  Together, we pioneered BriteCore's Open Development Platform, a secure, effective, and standardized process that grants Clients and Vendors the ability to directly contribute new features and functionality to BriteCore, supplementing their existing team of top-talent software engineers.  Through this innovative BriteCore program, Farmers Fire has realized the best of both worlds: vendor-supported stability from IWS and hyper-custom bespoke solutions from our in-house team.

Having investigated over a dozen P&C Insurance Software suites, I can confidently say that BriteCore's deployment architecture is a decade or more ahead of every one of their competitors' that we reviewed.  Their fully realized Infrastructure as Code environment, built on Amazon's world-leading AWS, allows them to deploy and scale new production instances in a matter of seconds.  Their single source, continuous-integration / continuous-deployment framework for the entire community of carriers results in valuable new features, released nearly every week of the year, that are pre-tested with an automatic test suite comprised of many thousands of unit, regression, integration, end-to-end, and user acceptance tests.

The BriteCore product itself is intelligently organized, with top-level modules for Contacts, Policies, Claims, Lines (product, rates, and rules definitions), Reports, and Settings.  The publicly accessible documentation (that alone is entirely unique in the industry) at http://briteedu.squarespace.com/ is so thorough that Farmers Fire was able to complete our implementation, including all Lines product definitions and Settings configuration, with minimal assistance from IWS.  Whether it be policy lifecycle definitions, complex billing schedules, essential vendor integrations, renewal automation, out of sequence endorsements - BriteCore has thoughtful, effective functionality for nearly every core P&C carrier need.

Lastly, the staff at IWS, from the company founders to the front-lines support team, are some of the nicest, fairest, and most diligent people I've worked with at a service provider - an essential quality that cannot be overstated.

**What do you dislike about BriteCore?**

Coming from a world where Farmers Fire directly controlled and had custom-fit every process of our prior system, we found the stock financial and operational reporting out of BriteCore to be shy of our complete reporting needs.  Even this perceived ("perceived" as dozens of other carriers have operated effectively for years with BriteCore stock reports) shortcoming was much easier to overcome as BriteCore provides multiple external integration options, including a large and growing API surface and even direct, fast remote SQL access.  Beyond the do-it-yourself approach, BriteCore staffs a dedicated reporting and analytics team that can be contracted to custom-craft extracts and reports for client carriers.

**Recommendations to others considering BriteCore:**

Implementing a new system to handle nearly every aspect of your company's operations will always be a massive endeavor, no matter which product or vendor you pick.  Based on Farmers Fire's experience, IWS BriteCore is an excellent team and product to go on this journey with.  Be thoughtful in your requirements, open to seasoned suggestions from the IWS team, and be ready to do the hard but rewarding work of positioning your company well for the future on a robust and growing platform.

**What problems is BriteCore solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BriteCore has improved existing and enabled new processes across multiple departments at Farmers Fire - just to list a few:
1) Automatic Renewal processing across all lines of business
2) Recurring automatic billing options for both ACH and credit card
3) Dynamic underwriting rule enforcement, customized for each policy type
4) Consolidation of all lines of business to a single, cohesive platform
5) Simplification of IT deployment/maintenance, reduction in cost, and greatly improved disaster recovery/business continuity achieved through expert AWS deployment architecture
6) Deduplication of Contacts through a robust, multi-role contact-entity model
7) Flexible tracking and tagging of new data attributes on nearly any system entity, on-demand, through a user-configurable, system tag interface

**What do you like best about BriteCore?**

The best parts of BriteCore are the community aspects and ease of use.  BriteCore is trying to make insurance better as a whole by using software to bring together carriers and ideas. Very frequently we have seen carriers come together sharing ideas and features that will improve not only their company using the BriteCore software but all other insurance carriers. The software itself is very easy to use both for administrative configuration and for internal and external end users. We have been able to implement the system on time and within budget.  We have had numerous agents that were nervous about using the new system when we rolled it out and after using it the feedback we received was "That was really easy! I don't know why I was worried!"

**What do you dislike about BriteCore?**

The primary concerns we have had have been in terms of reporting and automation. However, since we started using BriteCore they have created a Business Intelligence unit and reporting has improved significantly. Many of the automation pieces are in the works or the future roadmap for the product.

**What problems is BriteCore solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With BriteCore we are being able to replace 30 and 40 year mainframe systems and moving to modern, web based systems.  So far we have already seen improvements in underwriting speed and accuracy.

**What do you like best about BriteCore?**

As a vendor focusing on the document output and printing and mailing, BriteCore makes it very easy for us to get the information we need through their simple API integration. It enables to effectively manage the relationship with our clients and  provide the service they expect. BriteCore has been a great partner, constantly working with us make the document output process better. 

**What do you dislike about BriteCore?**

There is not to much to dislike! I think there can be improvements on vendor support when the few issues we do encounter arise, but overall we have been happy with our partnership with BriteCore.

We are streamlining the document output process for clients using BriteCore. The simple API integration and standard format of documents and  has allowed us to shorten the implementation time for our clients and we have been able to create a process that is repeatable across multiple BriteCore clients.

BriteCore has given us a much faster turnaround time - Including but not limited to policy and business changes - Overall saving us a fair amount of money over the 2 years of having this.

There is pretty much nothing that is wrong about the BriteCore - It seems to do everything right and we are very happy with it's service and wouldn't change anything.
