Once running, Brightpearl does a great job of centralising operations, including inventory, order management, and accounting. A big plus for us is the ability to add and manage multiple sales channels within a single account, making it easy to scale across different stores or regions without adding system complexity. **What do you dislike about Brightpearl?** The platform feels dated, and it’s clear that product innovation has slowed — updates are infrequent, and several limitations still exist. For example, landed cost data isn’t accessible, which blocks proper forecasting with tools like Inventory Planner. The order edit feature introduces accounting issues, as changes don’t create proper audit trails or sales credits. On top of that, if you need more advanced features, you're often forced to pay for third-party apps or build custom integrations(like better product creating integration from Shopify to Bright Pearl). Brightpearl outsources this part, so aligning expectations early on is key. That said, both teams were responsive and helpful, and once we got clarity, everything moved smoothly. I rarely go into our Shopify account as the integration is so good. After 11 years with Brightpearl, I can't imagine being without it. **What do you dislike about Brightpearl?** There are just 2 niggles I have concerning dates when running reports. The first is that it defaults to the year 2000. Then you can only select as far as 2020 and another screen is required to select 2025. Why doesn't it default to the current year and those wanting previous years can select those! I do wish there was a preset for 7-days Mon to Sun (maybe by week number). I would think this so helpful in retail. **What problems is Brightpearl solving and how is that benefiting you?** The integration with Shopify is excellent so all staff are fully focussed on Brightpearl for their information. This negates the need for several different systems. ### 7. It gives us a seemless integration for our Amazon. eBay and BigCommerce website and also handles our accounting. We made a move from a combination of softwares and it was definitly the right move for us. Stock control and automations have also helped speed up working times and free up resources we can use elsewhere. **What do you dislike about Brightpearl?** I would like a more powerful template editor and a Etsy connector included in the package. **Recommendations to others considering Brightpearl:** We had some issues with what was prmised by our sales guy and what we received, they were eventually sorted after A LOT of discussions and some money on our part, it was worth it in the end. However I would make sure you get in writing what they promise it can do. But it is a great piece of software and we rarely need to use the support now. **What problems is Brightpearl solving and how is that benefiting you?** Has drastically reduced admin hours in order processing and fulfillment. Handles all our accounting and is a part of our e-marketing solution. Stock management. ### 8.
