What do you like best about Brightidea Innovation Management?

I truly appreciate the platform for organizing our program. BrightIdea has been essential in making our Virtual Think Tank experience more user-friendly; drawing a bigger audience and truly extending engagement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brightidea Innovation Management?

I do wish, with every fiber of my being, that BrightIdea offered better reporting options. I appreciate the graphics and the downloading of the data but I wish it could assist with organizing the data. I plan to work with my BrightIdea rep on the financial reporting benefits and will figure out better ways to manually enhance our data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Brightidea Innovation Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

BrightIdea is helping our internal Virtual Think Tank program. We needed a place to submit think tank ideas and for us to assign them to team members to work on. Too many ideas were coming in and Excel was far from useful for making things user-friendly. What do you like best about Brightidea Innovation Management?

Best things hands down is our BrightIdea contact. I work with Justin Gonzalez and he is very helpful and prompt in meeting with me to help me with the platform when I need it. Platform is very easy and intuitive for users to figure out. Very nice that you can build in a lot of tools (like google translate). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brightidea Innovation Management?

Platform can be very buggy, slow and a lot of interface is outdated. Setting up a page is an absolute nightmare, especially if you have a lot of pictures. Very, VERY time consuming to setup. (Why dragging and dropping in photos is not standard is a mystery to me.) Also, it can be a quite complicated platform. Though this might be ideal for companies using this platform for more complicated processes, for our ideation process, it is often overkill, and it is unnecessarily complex for those of us needing a more simple setup. I appreciate the client help by my client success manager, Zita Flaherty. She is quick to respond, knowledgeable and always kind. I believe she has my best interests at the forefront. Sometimes the training material is not consistent with the platform labels.

What do you like best about Brightidea Innovation Management?

The tool is extremely robust and comprehensive. It adapts to current business ways of working, while also helping to shape organization and behavior changes. We have been able to customize the platform to reflect our current and future objectives to help foster a community that thrives on innovation ideas to align with our digital-first goals. While we are still in 'pilot' mode, I am sure we are underutilizing the full system capabilities and look forward to the systems tools of quantifying our investment, both at the system and idea level in the years to come. What do you dislike about Brightidea Innovation Management?

A lot of the system is out-of-the-box configurations and some of the configurations are not customizable at this time. While they aren't roadblocks, it would be nice to be able to have more customizable features to reflect the way that our organization functions.

There are also a lot of system dependencies, that can take some time to get acclimated to. Might make adoption on the administrative end a little harder, especially in environments where admins can rotate roles frequently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
