The product was designed to capture and manage ideas and with the help of Brightideas we were able to customize it to meet our needs. There are aspects of the product which aren't flexible enough so we had to find work arounds which does great some cumbersomeness in the final product. I like how the platform is easy and intuitive to use, from both an end user and administrator perspective. The pipeline management, adding rules, using the available tools etc are easy to understand how to use and the initiative playbooks can be used to help guide you if you have any questions. I like how there are various types of initiatives you can implement depending on your requirements and what you want to achieve, and the boxes are easy to duplicate and change if you need to add or tweak initiatives. The support at Bright Idea is great. If you have any technical problems or questions the support team get back to you very quickly and always help to solve your issue. What do you dislike about Brightidea Innovation Management? It can be time consuming to customize the finer details of the website due to the complexity of the HTML code. Although you can change the main templates on the website easily, it would be great if you could change the finer details in an easier way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. It is allowing a centralised place for people to submit ideas and these ideas to be stored, managed and evaluated. This makes our innovation process much easier and smoother. I like how people can collaborate around innovation through commenting and voting, and the extra enagagement features that can be offered such as the blog posts. The software also allows us to report and track engagement and users through its dashboards, which is a huge benefit so we can understand what works well / what needs to be improved by monitoring engagement levels etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. The platform is very user friendly, having used others in the past, Brightidea is more engaging for the users as well as easy to use for the administrators and evaluators. It has a great level of customization available to users, which means that as a company we can tailor it to fit our brand and our specific needs. As an example, we have used different idea boxes to fit different time horizons - something that is critical for us in order for ideas to be evaluated by the right people in the organization. The ease of changing each box to fit your needs is without a doubt one of the best things about Brightidea, and it's great to see more innovations within the company coming in this space, continuously updating this product. Brightidea also offers consultancy advice for their customers, which goes beyond the product offering. They have talented individuals in their teams able to provide advice on best practice innovation management, how to engage employees to improve intrapreneurship programs, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Brightidea Innovation Management? Brightidea is focusing on getting new features in the market e.g. whiteboard and others, whilst for us it would be more important to prioritize continuous improvement of their core product. As an example, as complex organizations, we might not fit the more basic ways of evaluating ideas in terms of workflow, and we are slightly restricted in assigning evaluators based on general categories instead of, for instance, having the option to add sub-categories and branches creating dependent questions. Brightidea is a highly flexible platform, allowing the customization needed to launch an innovation initiative AND track winning ideas in a project pipeline. The user experience is clean and easy. The Idea Boards page is a very visual way to show ideas while also allowing users to filter in a number of ways. My clients find the user experience very easy, especially when it comes time to move top ideas from an ideation initiative to a project showcase site. In K-12 education, there is a desire for a crowd-based platform that allows for complete anonymity (not requiring users to log in at all). While I don't agree with this, it seems to be a desire for this market. Other than that, Brightidea has all of the features and functionalities needed to manage a crowd-based innovation program! Brightidea allows K-12 education leaders to incorporate a structured stakeholder feedback process into their decision-making, whether for strategic planning, elevating student voice, or gathering stakeholder input for other initiatives. Firstly we like the product. The UI, the flexibility we have as administrators, the analytics and the various judging tools. The platform is easy to use and is liked by our employees and managers. Secondly, the BrightIdea platform continuously improves, and new features are added at a desirable pace. Thirdly, and most importantly, are the tremendous support and attention from our account manager Justin Gonzalez, the support portal and the quick response to any issue we have. The only thing I can think of is that we would like to see more support for load balancing of the judging tools and a better way of managing it when we need to shift evaluators.
