I also really liek the parent/child relationship you can create between ideas. Often times we end up with similar ideas and the ability to link them together eliminates the muddiness of the infomation being scatterede between many similar ideas. The setup and manipulation fo the worflows is easy and has an easy learning curve. **What do you dislike about Brightidea Innovation Management?** The biggest fault with Bright Idea is the lack of a mobile application that is functional and easy to use. They have an app for at least iOS, but it is buggy and zero improvements hve been made on it in the last 3 years. It has objectivly gotten worse, not better. **What problems is Brightidea Innovation Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** We review and house many many solutions that vendors bring to us. Without this software we would have an impossible task in front of us. It is an incredibly easy to use platform for our staff with fantastic customer support, and we can easily customize it to suit our needs. We have only rolled it out to our staff for a little over a month now, but we have amazing feedback from our users about it already! **What do you dislike about Brightidea Innovation Management?** Some of the interface for the setup is a bit clunky and confusing, and not everything can be customized easily unless you know HTML coding to dive into the details. Brightidea gives us the capability to cull new ideas from across the corporation in a way we wouldn't be able to do otherwise. For the administrators, it's a simple tool to learn and manage, and for users, Brightidea makes it easy to submit and collaborate on ideas. For us, it's great to have a resource we can turn to to answer the question: "I have an idea for x, what do I do with that?" **What do you dislike about Brightidea Innovation Management?** The downsides to me, specifically, pertain more to the admin-side of the tool. There are definitely glitches we've grown accustomed to work around because it's almost easier that way, like adding pictures to a challenge page, header graphic dimensions, or changing font size/text/color in a Rich Text box, etc. I also seem to run into the same conversation with other admins and challenge sponsors about running excel reports, e.g. report options being kind of all over the place/having to know where to look, having to pull multiple reports for all the data you want/need and then compile them together, etc. A lot of our initiatives rely on the reporting and it makes for a less hands-off experience for the admin when they have to keep pulling reports and piece-mealing things for challenge sponsors. **What problems is Brightidea Innovation Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're able to crowdsource ideas virtually across our company, reaching a larger audience than we could've pre-Brightidea. ### 7. Nevertheless, what I have seen during the last year is a reason to believe in the product. They have been adapting quickly to clients' needs, the back end is constantly changing to make the experience more simple and intuitive. Yes, I still feel we are in the middle of changes when using the platform, but the UX has improved a lot during the last year. That paired with the level of client service that we received from Bright Idea, is enough reason for us to recommend the product and keep it as our idea management system. **What do you dislike about Brightidea Innovation Management?** The poor flexibility for the visual construction of the home of the challenges (design, colors, letters, pictures, videos). I do not enjoy how the export of data from the platform works, it is difficult to find what export is the one containing what you need. Action Item views are set in one aspect and can not be changed. I can get past the login screen but it never actually loads anything, just shows the brightidea logo. Notifications on the site can be a pain because even though I click the globe to view them the little red bubble doesn't go away until I click on it, mark it as read, or delete it from the notifications list.
