**What do you like best about Chargebee Retention?**

What I like most about Chargebee Retention is how it simplifies a complex problem and keeps customers from leaving. The tool helps understand why people are canceling and gives you the power to do something about it right then and there. The way you can set up different offers for different types of customers,  like giving a discount to someone who really needs it, or letting another person pause their subscription.

**What do you dislike about Chargebee Retention?**

The biggest win with Chargebee Retention is how it jumps in right when a customer is about to bail and gives you a chance to save them. It's incredibly smart about offering personalized options based on the customers. It saves real money by stopping churn cold, and the data it collects on why people are leaving helps you figure out what to fix in your product.

Sometimes, the reporting can be a bit tricky to get what I want as a customer, and setting up all those different offers can feel a little clunky if you have a lot of variations.

The biggest "downside" isn't a flaw in the tool itself, but more about its place in your strategy: it's not a magic bullet. It's fantastic for catching customers at the moment of cancellation, but it does not fix a broken product or terrible customer service. Also, you have to watch out for the pricing, especially if you get a lot of cancellation attempts, as those session fees can add up. And finally, like any new tool, it's another thing to learn and manage in your tech stack.

The Chargebee Retention platform gives a clear idea of why the customers are churning and helps in planning accordingly. The platform is pretty easy to use. Also the customer success team is pretty helpful.

I like how easy it is to set up and use. The interface is clean, and it doesn’t take long to understand how everything works. It also gives helpful insights about why customers are canceling, which makes it easier to adjust our strategy and improve retention.

**What do you dislike about Chargebee Retention?**

Sometimes the reporting feels a bit limited, it would be helpful to have more customizable options or deeper insights. Also, a few features feel like they could be more flexible when it comes to tailoring the cancel experience to different customer segments.

**What problems is Chargebee Retention solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Chargebee Retention helps us spot why customers are thinking about canceling before it’s too late. By showing us the common exit reasons and letting us set up targeted offers or feedback forms right in the cancellation flow, we can address issues on the spot. That’s helped us reduce churn, recover more revenue, and even learn what product improvements we should prioritize, all without adding extra work for our team.

**What do you like best about Chargebee Retention?**

As a subscription business, we are always looking to improve our retention metrics, like cancel rate and pause rate. We were able to create pages with chargebee retention to lower those rates, and we're constantly testing and iterating on them. Their support team is pretty good, and the analytics platform is helpful. We've also had some helpful meetings with customer representatives to help us strategize, which is cool.

**What do you dislike about Chargebee Retention?**

The interface for creating offers isn't my favorite. Sometimes it can be trick to copy them or organize them for specific tests. But if you keep it simple, it's manageable.

Chargebee retention is lowering our cancel and pause rates, and giving us a second chance with watchlist customers (people who are considering canceling)!

**What do you like best about Chargebee Retention?**

I love that clients can easily modify their subscriptions at renewal as opposed to reaching out to support.  It creates a better user experience and allows them immediate offers to keep them.  Often, by the time a client emails us for cancellation, we have already lost them and they do not respond, even if we were to offer a discount.  Chargebee Retention engages the customer so that they can make that choice at the time of consideration.

So far, I do not have any negative feedback for Chargebee Retention.

Chargebee Retention is keeping our clients engaged at cancellation, allowing them to review offers immediately instead of the back and forth of our current process.

The initial modules are pretty straightforward. When I couldn't find what I was needing in the support documentation, I was able to reach out for help from a representative. They were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly responsive to my inquiries. This level of assistance made the learning process much smoother and more enjoyable.

Some of the support documentation is confusing and disjointed, leading to a rabbit hole of misdirection.

I like how easy it is to see results using the reporting tools. I can dive in and check on current progress in a very short amount of time. It helps me monitor our current campaigns.

**What do you dislike about Chargebee Retention?**

Some of the reporting metrics aren't easy to understand at first, so there is a small learning curb to tackle to fully understand how your efforts are performing in the platform.

**What problems is Chargebee Retention solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My company has never had a platform dedicated to retention, so being able to custom tailor the retention experience with reporting is very important. We're currently using it with our consumer subscription products. Retention is crucial with these projects, so having CB-R is neccessary to help maintain our renewal numbers.

**What do you like best about Chargebee Retention?**

Relatively easy to install and get set up being an out-the-box solution rather than building something in-house.

User-friendly to configure without having a technical coding background.

It has saved us revenue.

**What do you dislike about Chargebee Retention?**

Find the flow of information between Chargebee Billing and Chargebee Revenue a little limited considering the two products are purchased from the same company.

Very limited amount of different landing pages/segmentation that can be done unless a much higher subscription is purchased which our volume of revenue doesn't justify (essentaily the pricing structure isn't great for us).

I don't particularly like the reporting, tend to take exports and do outside of the system.

The landing page does seem to load slowly from a customer experience perspective (i.e. when one of our customers clicks cancel).

It is actively saving us revenue churn.

**What do you like best about Chargebee Retention?**

The ability to quickly and easily set up different scenarios to target different cohorts just can't be beat.   We also had a really great implementation specialist, Kyle, who was with us every step of the way and was quick to point out ways to better our strategy within Retention to get the data we need.

**What do you dislike about Chargebee Retention?**

Some of the reporting is a bit difficult to drill into - in one screen you can only go 1 layer deep, but running the same report from a different screen gets you multiple layers to drill into.  So the data is there, Chargebee just needs to provide access throughout the different presentations...which I'm sure is probably already on their roadmap!

Retention helps us find out where our customers are seeking more value, features or benefits when using our product, or, if there were any misunderstandings regarding the product offering, gives us a chance to engage the customer in conversation prior to a potential churn.

The workflows and automation that allow you to customize the customer journey are great. The reporting in-platform is helpful as well. Implementation was a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Chargebee Retention?**

Any data extraction/customization of reports married with third-party information is the equivalent of pulling teeth at this point. Would love a more robust way to get data out/marry it with other data.

Automating the customer bypass process has been hugely helpful for us in reducing labor overhead.
