"Bright Data proxies were extremely helpful and easy to use in our research project"

What do you like best about Bright Data?

We used Bright Data proxies for a scientific research project and it was excellent to be able to use proxies in many different countries all over the world. It was easy to set up the zones, with data center or ISP proxies, and use them from a browser; the proxy manager application made this very simple to configure. What do you dislike about Bright Data?

Since we needed proxies in several countries, some of which are probably not so commonly used, there were some cases where it was not possible to use ISP proxies (we used data center proxies instead) and some zones with higher percentage of failures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Bright Data?

I think that BrightData offers an affordable service which was easy to set up and use. I have an automated scraping routine which I run continuously, making about 8 requests every three minutes. For my purposes, the datacenter proxies work great. I found the educational materials on the site helpful. I also appreciate the support offered by the platform if needed, even though I have not used this extensively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Bright Data?

I have used the platform for one research project so far, but am planning to collaborate with Bright Data again in the future. In my opinion their platform is quite intuitive and easy to use, also because they conduct an onboarding session including a video tutorial. The data was provided in a way that was easy to implement and integrate into my research workflow. Their staff was super responsive via mail and we also had multiple zoom calls to discuss any issues. So far there is nothing that I disliked about Bright Data. It is true that some technical knowledge is helpful to make the most use of the resources that they provide. What problems is Bright Data solving and how is that benefiting you?

I was working together with the Bright Initiative of Bright Data. Specifically, they supported me with a research project investigating the behavior of social media users. For this I need to gather vast amounts of data from multiple social media platforms. Bright Data supported me by granting me access to thei Dataset Marketplace which allowed me to filter through the Instagram data to create a comprehensive set of data relevant for my study.
