## About Dash
Dash is an affordable digital asset management (DAM) tool for ecommerce brands, with pricing starting at $109 per month. It gives marketing and creative teams one clear place to store, organise, and use their brand content. If you’re using Google Drive or Dropbox to manage creative, things get messy fast. Files are hard to find, links break, and teams waste time searching instead of launching work. Dash is built to fix that. With Dash, all your brand assets live in one place — from product photography and campaign creative to influencer content and UGC. You can upload files directly or collect content using upload links, so creators, agencies, and partners can send work without needing access. Once files are in, your team can approve content or leave feedback before it’s used. Dash makes assets easy to find as your library grows. Images are automatically tagged using AI, and you can add your own custom fields like product line, campaign, usage rights, or photographer. That means less digging through folders and more time actually using your creative. When it’s time to launch, Dash helps you move faster. Resize and crop images directly in the platform, download them ready for different marketing channels, or push product images straight into your Shopify listings. Dash also makes sharing simple. Your retail partners need access to your product creative. Rather than dealing with individual requests and WeTransfer files, set up custom branded portals for them. Your retailers can find the assets they need easily, without needing to come through you. Dash helps ecommerce teams to: Store all brand creative in one organised place Collect content from creators and partners without the chaos Find assets quickly using AI tags and custom fields Prepare images for marketing and ecommerce channels Get creative into the hands of your retail partners Share approved assets externally without extra admin Dash includes unlimited users and all features on every plan, so teams don’t have to manage seats or upgrades as they grow. It’s used by ecommerce brands that want less time hunting for files — and more time getting creative work out into the world.

## Dash Reviews
  ### 1. Great Customer Service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christa S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I do not use Dash regularly, but as an administrator on the account for our marketing team, I very much appreciate the easy and quick response I got to my chat question today.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I have nothing negative to say. I am very happy.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can't answer this question except to say our Marketing team definitely needed our connection problem fixed as soon as possible which happened.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Christa,

Thanks so much for your review! That's lovely to hear, I've passed your feedback on to Katya :)

Let us know if we can be of any assistance in the future

All the best,
Barney

  ### 2. Helpful tool on a budget

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Helpful tagging, separation, and storage of photos! Easy searching by colleagues across the company. Good price point vs other options.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Not as dynamic as other DAMs & CS team not super responsive when help is needed.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storage, tagging, and searching of assets.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi there, and thanks so much for you review! It is great to hear of the ways Dash is helping you.

I'm really sorry to hear you've had a poor experience receiving support. We pride ourselves on ~10 minute response times for all chats (within UK office hours) so something must have gone quite wrong when you got in touch and I'm sorry about that. I hope next time we can demonstrate what our usual excellent support looks like!

If there is anything we can add to Dash to make it bring even more value to you, please do vote and comment on ideas in our Ideas Hub, which I've linked to below.

  ### 3. Generally great content library!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

How quick and easy it is to upload and the search function is great. Portals have been a life saver

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Finding folders. A bit clunky and unintuitive

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Content and brand asset library. Easy to share content with external parties through portals

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi there, thanks so much for your review :) Pleased to hear finding nd sharing assets has become a lot better for you!

Regarding folders, we have a big folder improvement coming in the next few months, designed to make visually browser your folders more intuitive and enjoyable, so watch this space :)

Don't forget to keep an eye on our roadmap, which I've added a link to below...

  ### 4. Great product, great service!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brad K. | General Manager, Renewables & Environment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash has a great user experience, is responsive, and has great support resources for things I don't understand or need help with. The pricing model is also very clear and much more flexible and competitive than other options available.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

There isn't really anything I dislike about this product. It really has everything I need in a digital asset management platform. There are a range of features that will be implemented in future, so that will make it even better.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a large range of photography and film assets and trying to manage and organise them in traditional filing apps (native desktop or Microsoft365/onedrive/cloud storage) is difficult. Dash provides a very customisable system of categories, tags and other filters that you can add to make access to your content easy. It's a visual tool so you're not spending time just reading through file names and trying to preview the image in another program. We share our content with customers, so being able to share a branded portal with clients is fantastic, and allows us to keep track of what assets are used, and what information is shared with those assets so they are used properly. Really a fantastic solution.

I should also mention that the customer service is fantastic. The team is responsive, engaged, good problem solvers, and really want to help you with the product. Haven't had better service than this team!

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Brad,

What a lovely review to receive on a Monday morning, thank you very much! I'll be sure to share your glowing feedback with our customer service team, they'll be very happy with that :)

If you do think of any ways Dash could be improved, just get in touch!

Have a great week. Thanks again for writing this.

All the best,
Barney

  ### 5. Just what you need at a very competitive price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bradley E. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

From the start, Dash was a very attractive option with their low-pressure sales approach. The product speaks for itself so there's no need to turn up the barrage the prospective client with followups. There are certainly more robust systems out there, but those systems often come with so many features you don't need AND a price tag to reflect those extra features. If you just want to store, organize, and quickly retrieve your assets, Dash does that quite nicely. Once deployed, onboarding is incredibly easy. You know how the iOS on your phone is intutive? That's very much the case with Dash. Getting up and runnng takes very little time. The system is flexible, so it grows with you as your asset library grows. Finding and retreiving assets is about as easy and seemless as it gets.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

So far, we have not encoutnered any downsides to Dash. I'm not saying they don't exist, but our use to date has not revealed any problems. If anything should arise, the team at Dash has been quick to respond to any questions we've had, so I don't anticipate it ever being a concern.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had assets in multiple folders across multiple servers, often with duplicates taking up unneeded space. Storing items this way provided no search functionality, so finding something specific relied on someone knowing where that particular item might reside. Dash shines with the search functionality. Something that used to take 10-15 minutes now takes seconds.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Bradley,

Thank you so much for your wonderful review - you've made our day! There's so many lovely quotes I can share with the team in here. And I'll let Lea know your feedback about the sales process, I'm glad that worked well for you :)

Have a great weekend!

All the best,
Barney

  ### 6. Dash is a great solution for collaboration.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I really like the size options for photo downloads as well as all the social media size options.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

The crop tool should allow you to shrink the photo within the crop box and reposition it.
Also separate cover photos for portals would be nice to allow for customization in each portal.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralize location for approved Digital Marketing Assets available for both internal & external partners.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Thank you for you review!

Appreciate your feedback on how we can improve, those are good suggestions. Will take those to the team!

Cheers,
Barney

  ### 7. Fantastic way to organise assets

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

The ease of navigation and location any imagery saved within Dash. Downloading the files is simple and you can choose to resize before downloading, saving you a lot of time when you need a lot of assets.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I'm yet to encounter a downside of using Dash, I'd highly recommend to anyone.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had all our imagery and content saved in various folders, in all shapes and sizes. Dash enables us to collate everything into one easy to manage space.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Thanks so much for your review! Great to hear how easy you're finding Dash to use and that you'd recommend us to others - that's much appreciated! (If you ever do that by the way, make sure you let us know as we'd owe you some referral rewards - I've dropped a link below)

All the best,
Barney

  ### 8. Dash checks off all of our needs for an effective and adoptable digital asset management platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Simple and easy to onboard and train team members on to adopt the platform and maximize the ROI of a DAM. Asset organization, searching for an asset, and managing assets is very easy and fast to accomplish. Love the ability to download graphics to different sizes and specs! Customer support from the intro to onboarding was exceptional! Love our team at Dash. They made migrating from another platform to Dash so easy and integration of Dash was basically effortless!

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Haven't discovered anything to dislike. Onboarding and initial use has been simple and seamless!

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asset management, sharing assets with partners and network, organizing and locating assets without taking away resource time from other team members

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Thank you for your review! Really great to hear you're getting ROI on Dash, and that you're taking advantage of our different download specs!

If there's anything you need help with, or if you have feedback on how Dash can improve in the future, just let us know :)

All the best,
Barney

  ### 9. Clear and easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thea P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

- Lay out looks great, is intuitive for tagging / organising in folders and quick with the select all feature.
- Downloading images in crop presets is handy (incl. social media crop sizes)
- Creating portals for sending collections to external people is simple to use, works well.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

- Can’t stay signed in very long and there no option to remember me/ remember password for a quicker login.
- Some of the auto tagging was a bit rogue
- Would be nice to be able to drag folders / sub-folders to move them.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previous asset bank took a lot longer to tag / upload our assets - DASH is much quicker / easier

  ### 10. Just what we were looking for!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel K. | Brand Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

We were looking for an affordable DAM for our images, etc.; Dash was just what we were looking for. There were many alternatives out there but at much higher price points and with more features than we needed. We've been using it for a little while now and it's been great.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I would like to be able to reorder the assets by drag and drop but that is the only issue I've encountered. It's nothing major.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to streamline our customer support portal. Before using Dash we were sending files via transfer and then descriptions etc separately as Excel docs. But now we have a central location where it's super easy to give customers access so they can find and download what they need and somewhere we can upload all our assets and keep them up to date.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Daniel, thanks so much for your review. It is great to hear how Dash has improved your support workflow and made sharing easier :)

I'm sorry custom sorting isn't possible - please do vote on this feature request in our Ideas Hub - I've put a link below.

  ### 11. Simple, intuitive and easy adoption

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

The simplicity and ease of use, particularly with regards to setting it up and organising our assets has meant we're been able to gain company-wide adoption relatively quickly.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

There haven't been any specific downsides.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We run a travel business, where content needs to be easily accessible across the entire sales & marketing team. As a small business, we were quickly losing control of our database of assets. Dash has helped us organise and find our important digital assets.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Thanks for your lovely review! Makes us really happy to hear you've managed to get Dash adopted across the company quickly :) If you have any feedback on how we can improve, do let us know!

All the best,
Barney

  ### 12. DASH has enabled collaboration across teams and we love the customised client portal!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sascha S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Enhanced collaboration across a project team
Customisation of a portal for client access helps maintain brand consistency - for us and them - and manage version control all whist looking professional
Intuitive navigation and searching
Added layer of privacy and security
Great to have all assets in one location
The thumbnails make things easy to find and are much nicer to navigate.
Supporting self-help resources found in the Help centre
The Dash tour
Dash Academy

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

We're still new to DASH - only a few weeks in and haven't discovered any downside yet!

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Safe and secure storage of brand, project and client assets
Cross-team collaboration
Asset thumbnails and search functionality
Quick access through tagging and intuitive filing

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Sascha, thanks so much for your review! No dislikes at all - just the way we like it! If anything does ever come up that we can help with, please don't hesitate to get in touch via the in-app chat and we'll be happy to help.

  ### 13. Easy to use and quick to implement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash is not only easy to use as an end user, but also easy to set up. Changes are implemented quickly and intuitively, so you can spend most of your time taking care of taxonomy and migration.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I'd love to have a better working auto-tagging feature. The suggested tags are often still pretty broad or inaccurate.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Dash, we have found a tool that allows us to leave obscure cloud storage folders behind us. We use it to keep all our assets together and make them findable with keywords and other searchable properties.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Thanks very much for your review! Really appreciate you taking the time to write this, and it's great to hear you're finding Dash super easy to use! Good job leaving those "obscure cloud storage folders" behind you :)

Thanks for your feedback on the auto-tagging. You can adjust the sensitivity / broadness of the auto-tags in your Dash settings, but I've also passed this feedback on to the team.

All the best,
Barney

  ### 14. Migration from DropBox to Dash

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Nothing at the moment., we are in the eary syages of data migration.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

versions, permissioned access, time zone elimination

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Michael,

Thanks for your review, much appreciated. And nice one making the switch from Dropbox! Hope your onboarding goes well, I know you'll be in safe hands :)

Best wishes,
Barney

  ### 15. Great platform so far with promising potential

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesse B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash has proved to be a great platform for us so far, covering the majority of our business needs. Reliable customer support, easy user-friendly handling within the Admin CMS and general UX, with strong tagging and search capabilities - at a more affordable cost compared to other asset management systems. Their Ideas Hub is a good forum for submitting feature updates – provided these continue to be considered and actioned there looks to be a great future ahead!

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Still in the early days, so there is plenty of room for improvement and new features. Watermarking or restricting the file download size is the big issue we'd love to see resolved – there are sharing/copyright concerns with users able to download unedited original files.
There is also limited ability to make more refined, selective changes, with most admin adjustments occurring exclusively globally. Items like selecting which fields appear in specific folders/portals, tagging field collections, portal branding that are a bit more scalable to medium-sized business would be ideal.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asset management of a large collection of imagery we've accumulated over the years and continue to create. Detailed tagging and search capabilities, categorised within different field structures. Internal use across the business, with individual and shared collections in use. Handover of assets to third-party distribution agenies via portals.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Jesse, thanks so much for your review; it is great to hear Dash is working well, and also to hear how we can improve :)

Watermarking/view-only access is definitely a highly requested feature and so I hope we will be able to deliver this to you in the not too distant future. If you've voted on the feature in our Ideas Hub, you'll be notified if/when we start working on this.

Folder-specific fields is also something we've heard some interest in, so hopefully as the feedback continues we'll be able to deliver a solution to this as well.

Please do keep the feedback coming, either via the Ideas Hub or via our in-app chat :)

  ### 16. Very easy to use on a day to day basis

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

It's easy to find the images I need in our large database using tags. I also appreciate how easy it is to crop and compress images to be used on our website.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

My session times out quite a lot as I work with dash all day every day, can be frustrating.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cropping and compressing images quickly. Filing huge amounts of assets in a sleek way.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Thanks for your review! So happy to hear you're finding Dash easy to use and its cropping tools are saving you time.

Oh no, sorry to hear Dash runs slowly for you sometimes - that shouldn't be happening. Would you be able to get in touch with us so we can help with that? You can either contact us via the in-app chat or by emailing us on help@dash.app.

Thanks again for the review! Best wishes,
Barney

  ### 17. Great, easy to use platform.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rianna H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I like that I can tag photos and easily find them. As a sports organization with over 70 players, we have a ton of photos. Searching for selecct players and event photos is a really simple experience on Dash.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I really have no complaints. It is such a great tool.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time management, Organization, Brand Identity.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Rianna,

Thank you for your review, this means a lot to us! Love that you're using Dash's flexible custom fields to be able to search for how your company want to find your content :)

If you have any feedback in the future of how we can improve, just let us know!

All the best,
Barney

  ### 18. Vital hub for images and media

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nancy C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I enjoy using Dash due to it being a geat place to share media and images. Uploads are quick an easy to do and its so useful when trying to find what i need.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I would say its harde to delete folders than it needs to be

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work for a large organisation so uploading images and mdia and dash allows myself and collegues direct access to cotent, available all i one place.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Nancy, thanks so much for leaving us a review, we really appreciate it :)

I'm sorry to hear that deleting folders isn't as easy as it could be. Did you know admins can now delete folders directly from the Filters pane, without having to go to the admin section? If you have feedback on how we could further improve, please do vote on ideas in our Ideas Hub (linked below) or create a new one!

  ### 19. Great product!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Love how inexpensive it is relative to other products and does just about everything we need. Customer support is also great.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Occasionally the UX can be difficult to use, but overall it's great.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to search through the content I need way more quickly through the search function.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Nicole,

Thanks so much for leaving us a review! Great to hear you're finding Dash good value for money and our CS team are taking good care of you!

Would love to know more about the UX comments, would you be up for sending us some feedback? We're always looking for ways we can improve :)

All the best,
Barney

  ### 20. Fast, reliable, good support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karel P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Easy to install and setup. Configuring and personalizing to company needs is also straight forward.
UI is amicable, and reactive.
Support is fast, knowledgeable. NO AI chatting, real people, product team.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

It's not a dislike but a feature request. It would be interesting to have nested comments on the assets.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asset storage, tagging, workflows, approvals, data feedback on asset performance

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Karel,

Thank you for your review! It's lovely to hear Dash is working so well for you and your company.

Ah yes, comments on assets is something we're considering. It's been suggested on our feedback board, so feel free to add your vote to it and comments - we use this board to help us decide what to build next :) I've put a link below

Best wishes,
Barney

  ### 21. Powerful Simplicity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah L. | Multimedia Content Manager, Medical Devices, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Finding images is incredibly easy with their tagging system. Dash is worlds more intuitive and streamlined than any other DAM system I've used. My colleagues can find exactly what they need in seconds and easily send out packages to partners.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Copying tags from previous images to new uploads can be a tad tedious at times, but it's a matter of only a few additional clicks. Would also love to see support for image variations (cmyk vs rgb, or png vs jpg vs eps) so that I can upload multiple copies of the same asset and pull different variations as needed.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash allows for company-wide access to our digital images with quick robust searching features. Sourcing images for coworkers went from 1/3 of my job to something I do less than once a month.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Sarah, thank you so much for your review! I'm really pleased to hear how easy Dash has been to use for you and the team :)

I would love to hear more about your requirements for copying tags. It would be great to hear the use case here so we can think about how we could help. I'd highly recommend raising this as an idea in our Ideas Hub (feedback.dash.app) so others can also vote and comment in support of this.

The general philosophy of Dash is that you upload one high-res asset and we then provide you options to download in different sizes and formats, saving you from having to upload and manage different variations yourself. ### 22. Early days, but finding it useful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nell G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Spurgeons is a charity completely focused on supporting families at every step, we are conscientious about making sure the way we share stories is collaborative with the families we work with and safe for them. Using DASH so far has supported our ambitions to protect our families and give them a voice. It is straightforward, and doesn't take extensive training to use. It is very easy to keep track of our content, and share it in a meaningful way to all the content leads in our teams. I really like you can replace files easily, and also that you can hold alternative versions of files on the same link.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Minor niggles. If possible, I would like you to be able to make another collection, from a selection inside a collection. It would also be useful if it would send out alerts when new content is added. Perhaps features to come :)

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing our content across all our communications channels.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Nell, thanks so much for your detailed review, it is really appreciated. It is great to hear Dash has been easy to get up and running with and support your business.

Creating a collection from inside a collection is an interesting idea! Please do submit this in our Ideas Hub for others to vote on - https://feedback.dash.app.

You can set up email alerts for when new assets are added by creating a saved search and enabling notifications. I've added a link to the article below. If that doesn't solve your problem, please do let us know via the in-app chat and we'll be happy to listen and work out how we could improve :)

  ### 23. DASH Digital Asset Management Software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Easy to use interface
Great Customer Service, with simple enrolling process
Simple to understand licensing model
A feature reach platform that has features that can match the bigger and more expensive solutions

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Nothing as yet, but we are only 1 month into our Dash journey at present.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deduplication, and central management.
Storage and management of PII related images.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Thanks for your review! Great to hear your onboarding has been a success. If there's any feedback you have as you get to use Dash more, do let us know :)

Best wishes,
Barney

  ### 24. Dash has it all - the perfect DAM solution for me as a small business owner

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evan B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I like pretty much everything! Easy upload, really useful duplicate detection which is an absolute godsend, tagging, search, ability to create folders and subfolders and the fact I can share separate portals of my work to each of my clients makes it truly invaluable for me as a designer, illustrator and visualiser. They can see what I have done and we can work from that as a base rather than starting a new visual from the ground up. So a huge timesaver for both client and I. It's practically perfect!

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I have yet to see a downside. I tried a few DAMS and Dash is simply the best of the lot that cater for an SME like myself. I am sure there are incremental improvements that can be done but off hand I cannot think of one. Perhaps, aesthetcally, the option to design a full width image as a landing page for each portal might be a nice to have, but that's more aesthetics than function

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can share separate portals of my work to each of my clients makes it truly invaluable for me as a designer, illustrator and visualiser. They can see what I have done and we can work from that as a base rather than starting a new visual from the ground up. So a huge timesaver for both client and I. It's practically perfect! They can search by brand, style of visual, asset visualised and a number of other elements in the image as there are no limits to tags. All very useful

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Evan,

Your review made our day, thank you so much! It's great to hear how you're using Dash as a designer and that both you and your clients are getting so much value out of it :)

Good suggestion regarding portals! That's been requested in our feedback portal by a few other customers too - feel free to vote and comment on it if you haven't already (I've linked to it below)

All the best,

  ### 25. Great platform to keep Brand assets organized

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ugis D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I love the fact that by using Dash, we can keep our organization's visual assets organized and easy to find. We use platform on a daily basis as we have multiple product launches and campaigns happening frequently.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Have not faced anything that I dislike about the dash

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash helped us to solve the mess that we had previously by using Gdrive for asset management

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Ugis,

Thank you so much for your lovely review! It's great to hear how Dash is helping you run multiple product launches efficiently. Really appreciate you taking the time to write this, thank you!

All the best,
Barney

  ### 26. Timesaver!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Being able to resize photos before downloading as well as uploading photos directly to Shopify will save us a ton of time. Super easy to set-up and use. The Shopify integration is great, but I probably won't use it for product photos to save on my monthly downloads.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Haven't found any major issues with the software. I don't love the cost structure regarding number of downloads. Storage, I totally understand, but paying more for using the main feature of the software is a little off-putting in my opinion.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our main problem was the searchability of our content. We have 1000s of photos and would spend hours searching for the right one when we were designing a campaing or updating home page images. Once we are set-up, this should take seconds.

**Official Response from Emily Lamb:**

> Thanks for your review! It's great to hear you found Dash super easy to set up, and it will help you save time finding and using your assets! Time is money after all, and Dash helps you use your time more wisely 🙂

We understand that each user's needs are different. Charging per user can often be redundant as some may only need to access assets a few times a month! That's why we offer unlimited users and charge by monthly downloads instead, so you're only paying for what you use.

But here's the scoop: We understand usage spikes happen and want to provide flexibility for our customers. You'll only need to consider an upgrade if you exceed your monthly downloads two months in a row.

And for those expecting heavier usage, our Established brand plan includes unlimited monthly downloads.

We really appreciate your feedback - it all helps us continue to build and improve Dash for our customers. If you have any ideas for what you'd like to see next in Dash, just let us know!

  ### 27. A seamless user journey, and very intuitive tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

From day one of onboarding to the platform, Dash has been nothing but a joy to use. Its UI is simple and clean, admin controls and functions easy to use by anyone, and most importantly its really supercharged the way we work as a brand, connecting all departments around assets within in a self service envrionment.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Theres a large list of nice to haves on the suggestions page which we'd definitely benefit from! Otherthan this we've had a few small visual UI bugs like badges not loading after mass upload etc, but its be great otherwise nothing to mention specifically.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Supercharging the way we work across all departments is the key for Hostleworld and our use of Dash.
Storing our huge library of video/photo and design assets in an easy to access searchable library was our main need for a DAM, Dash allows us to seamlessly distribute all of our assets time and time again to a self service portal that anyone can collaborate on and share content between teams.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Rob, thanks so much for your review :) Really pleased to hear Dash has helped your business - 'supercharged' is a great thing to hear!

Glad you've seen our feedback portal (link below) - do keep voting and commenting here as it is the best way to let us know how we can best develop Dash for our users. If you ever encounter the visual bugs you mentioned again, please do let us know via the in-app chat and we'll investigate immediately.

Thanks,

Charlie

  ### 28. Dash has revolutionised our file management & storage!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt J. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash has quickly become one of our most trusted and used tools in the business. It's supported us massively with our global expansion of the business into new markets. It's been super simple for all teams within our business to access and share assets.

We were previously using Google Drive to store all of our brand assets, this was complicated and not very user friendly for employees to access. We were getting a lot of confusion with what assets could be used and what was the latest version. Dash has really changed this and has become the brand bible!

We love the organisation that Dash offers as well as being super easy to search and share assets.

Being able to create embedded links for assets has also been a game changer, allowing assets and elements to be intergrated in CRM and website.

We looked at other options for DAM systems out there and just found them stupidly expensive! Dash is just such great value for money and a great service. We would definetly recommend!

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

There are no real downsides of using Dash. There are many features that we wish we could added afetr using it for sometime now but we know that these can be suggested in the community area.

We love how it's always evolving and new features coming out.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash is a great solution for organising our brand assets, digital content and print ready materials. Organisation, tracking, ease of access and sharing files was the key solution for us.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Matt,

Your review made our day, thank you so much! It's great to you're getting so much out of Dash, it's a pleasure to have you. If you have any feedback on how we can improve in the future, you know where we are :)

All the best,
Barney

  ### 29. Easy to set up and easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

It has been very easy to upload our pictures and customise the filters and functions. It has also been very easy to find the pictures we want plus it is integrated with our Hootsuite and Wordpress acounts which makes life so much simpler!

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I think the auto tagging could be a little more accurate and we would love to see it integrated with Mailchimp for when we are creating our regular email newsletters.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before we had Dash we had our images scattered in multiple different folders on different computers and it was a nightmare to find anything. Having them all in one place makes life so much easier!

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Alex,

Thank you for the glowing review! Glad Dash has helped you leave your content nightmare behind :) Great to hear you're making full use of our integrations! We're currently considering a Mailchimp integration so we'll keep you posted on that - I've dropped a link to the item on our feedback portal (but I can see you've already commented on it)

All the best,
Barney

  ### 30. The Dash experience has been great for our company and brand consistency

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy N. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

The search function allows users to grab whatever they need and send to a variety of portals like social media or canva.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Everything has been great! So far no issues with using the portal

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash allows our studios to type in what exactly they are looking for. With the tagging feature it allows all studios to use the same approved photos for any branding they are doing.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Amy, thanks so much for leaving us a review, we really appreciate it :)

I'm really pleased to hear Dash is working well for you. Nice to hear you are getting good use of Portals too. If there is ever anything we can do to help in future, please get in touch via the in-app chat, and if you have any ideas for how we can improve Dash, add them at feedback.dash.app!

  ### 31. Professional, Easy to set up, Easy to administer, Easy to share

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Terry S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

We're very happy with the ease of implimentation, set up and maintainece; often a barrier to tools like this is that the backsystem is to complicated and therrefol is under utilised, this is not the case with DASH.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Nothing so far, we selected DASH due to it's No Fuss nature; it is an easy to use AMS with some useful extas (imaeg resize tool etc...); it does everything important very well; Search and Filter and is easy to share with our partners.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Self service of key assets with our global partners
- Ease of locating and sharing assets as needed.
- Professional
- Easy to administer and update

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Terry, thanks so much for leaving us a review, we really appreciate it :) I'm pleased to hear how well Dash is working for you. If that ever changes or if you have any questions, do get in touch via the in-app chat and we'll be happy to help.

  ### 32. Functional DAM tool that is well priced and easy to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

The UX is easy to use and intuitive, so there isn't any effort in getting used to the platform. It's very simple to provide access to partners and vendors and let them go to work, knowing that it doesn't take any big effort to figure it out.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

It doesn't seem very easy to hide or limit access to certain files, which is something I would like to do as I share the platform with various partners. I wish I could just click a button to "lock" or "restrict" access.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash allows me to share files quickly and easily with a number of internal and external partners. It's a very functional, easy to use platform compared to other DAM tools I've seen.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi there, thanks so much for your review! Great to hear that Dash has been working well and helping with your workflows :)

Regarding restricting access, you can do this using permission groups, to control what folders each group of users can see. Have you given that a go? I've added a link below to a help article that shows you how. If this doesn't work for you, please do get in touch via the in-app chat and we'll investigate further.

  ### 33. Excellent service, but can glitch

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Easy searchable assets & clear structure

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Cant duplicate collections
Searches sometimes have to be done several times to pull through
have to download each time - not a live app
doesnt alwasy come up with suggested tags / search

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

finding assets easily, and grouping of assets in shareable links

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Lauren, thanks so much for your review! I'm glad Dash is still is providing value despite the challenges you've faced, which I'd love to help you with. I'll quickly summarise some responses for you but then I'll reach out separately to discuss these and find some solutions for you :)
- Can't duplicate collections - Great idea! Please do suggest this in our Ideas Hub (feedback.dash.app) so we can start to prioritise this against other requests.
- Searches have to be done several times - I'm sorry to hear this, I'll ask more about this when I contact you.
- Have to download each time - this depends on where you want to use the asset. You can use embeddable links to embed assets into other applications without the need to download it, or you can use one of our integrations to access Dash asset from within other tools, or even use the API. Would be good to learn more about your use case so we can find the right solution.
- Doesn't always come up with suggested tags - we're not aware of this issue so it would be good to discuss further. I'll be in touch to offer my support and figure out what's happening here!

I hope we'll be able to chat and resolve these concerns for you :)

  ### 34. Works great, a few things to note

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Easy user interface, fast search, reliability, auto tagging

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Download limit, small storage amount for the base package

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better organizing of our content and making it easily searchable.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi there, thanks so much for your review :) It is great to hear that Dash's UX, search and other features are working well for you.

Regarding pricing, I'm sorry if you feel the value proposition isn't quite right. We'd be very happy to discuss your usage of Dash and offer ways to make Dash even more helpful for you. Just get in touch via the in-app chat and we'll be happy to help :)

To clarify our download limit - we'll never block downloads or usage, but each plan comes with a number of monthly downloads. If you need more downloads, you get one month grace. If you go over your limits two months in a row, that shows you need more downloads and we'll increase your plan. We charge on downloads as that represents when the asset is actually put to use in the world, and therefore where you get value from it. If you have any further feedback we'd love to hear it so please do get in touch.

  ### 35. Overall great platform for organizing assets

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Photography | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

The homepage of Dash is beautifully presented, giving you a visual overview of assets. Clicking on these assets brings you to a more detailed and structured format with a traditional folder tree that makes it very easy to separate different projects. Uploading is fast and easy, with the ability to batch-tag some or all of the images in each upload group.
We do like that we can create individual personalized Dash accounts for clients that are linked to 1 business email account.
Customer service is also quite helpful & responsive.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Dash has AI tagging, but we found most of the results not useful for our particular & unique needs. The new pricing structure also is not cost-effective for us. Rather than charging for overall storage as many DAM systems do, they are charging by the number of images & downloads. Since we are storing tens of thousands of images per client as low-res jpegs, the fees are higher for us than most. We did consider switching to posting hi-res instead, but soon after they changed their policy, they have the right to charge more for files over a certain size, which most of ours will be. We are still using Dash for the time being as the platform is one of the best we've tested but the cost will probably prevent us from using it long term.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash provides a way for clients to access old images we have retouched for them as they don't have archiving systems of their own.
Right now, our business performance has not changed for better or worse.

**Official Response from Emily Lamb:**

> Thanks for leaving a review! I’m pleased you’re enjoying Dash so far. I’d love to expand on our pricing model a little more.

Why do we charge per asset?
By charging per asset stored, you have the freedom to store assets of various sizes and formats without worrying about pricing differentials based on storage size. This comes as good news for the brands uploading a range of marketing materials!

Are we expensive?
Compared with our competitors, Dash is one of the more affordable DAM’s out there. In order to maintain our fair prices, we have a fair use clause to cover the extra cost of storage if your average file size is significantly larger than our average customer. Any changes to our terms and conditions are given with 90 days' notice and an explanation of why we’ve updated our policies, so you’ll never get a surprise bill.

If you’re worried about how your Dash subscription will scale over time, please do reach out to our customer success team at help@dash.app. Our success managers would be more than happy to discuss your requirements and help find a solution that works for you.

  ### 37. The easiest way to share content

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeroen O. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

The ease of use and number of features, to share content both internaly as externally.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

There is nothing in particular that we don't like about Dash.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 38. Great service for storing various assets

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darina K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Possibility to get the needed asset in the needed format or dimension.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

The interface is a bit heavy, at times not very native. No mobile app.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Holding enormous amount of data and digital assets. No file sending.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Darina,

Thank you for leaving us a review, we really appreciate it! Great to hear about how Dash is helping you :)

  ### 39. Easy to use and good solution for digital asset management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I like that it is a very customisable product, you can add and amend the fields that suits your business best. I also have found their customer service incredibly helpful - always available and ready to help with any issues very quickly.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

The meta-data needs to be very specific (which is good as it leaves little room for error) but some of the formatting needs to be carefully processed or you will run into trouble. This was a learning curve but was helped by the customer service.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a lot of digital assets that need to be easily accessible and fully consented for a range of users (comms team, company wide, and external partners). Dash offers the capability to keep all of this data sorted and easily accesible.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi there, thanks so much for leaving us a review! It is great to hear Dash is working well for you and that we've been able to help you when needed. I totally understand re: the metadata import requirements - the formatting is quite strict as it ensures the data imports correctly. If we can help at all with this in future just get in touch via the in-app chat and we'll be happy to :)

  ### 40. A very intuitive digital asset manager

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

It is easy to use with a simple intuitive interface that hides some powerful discovery and access features. Easy to add your own metadata fields and control data to meet your specific needs and requirements.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I would like to see a few alternative options for the display of the content - to allow me to work in different ways with different content. Sometimes i want to see lots of thumbnails and sometimes i want a larger image in a filmstrip style

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Brought together over 50,000 assets (mostly photos but also video and other content) a mix of digitised and digital material from over twenty years allowing client to re-use content and make connections and associations that werent previously possible.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Wow, great to hear Dash is helping you make better use of 50,000 client assets - that's fantastic to hear!

Having different display options sounds like a good idea. Would you mind adding it to our feedback portal so other users can vote on it? We use this when deciding which features to build next :)

Thanks for the review - it's really appreciated!

All the best,
Barney

  ### 41. Great Experience Using Dash

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Luxury Goods & Jewelry | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

We switched to Dash recently and are very happy with it so far! It is easy to set up, manage, and the support from the DASH team has been great. Highly recommend!

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I think there could be improvements to the auto-tag system as well as an option to merge assets together but other than that there are no complaints here... just a few ways it could be even better!

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have ALOT of products and assets. Dash helps us house all of our assets and helps us quickly find what is needed while also allowing for quick shares and group work on campaigns.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi there! Thanks so much for your review :)

We'd love to hear your feedback so we can continue to improve Dash. Please do visit our Ideas Hub (link below) and submit any ideas you have, or search/vote/comment on existing ones. We review every comment made so your voice is definitely heard.

  ### 42. it's super user friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** iona g. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

it's so easy to use & navigate and super user freindly

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

that you can't copy and paste existing collections into new collections

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it's helping me send links externally really easily

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Iona,

Thanks very much for leaving us a review, it's much appreciated!

Copy and pasting is a great idea - I'll get that added to our product feature requests. Thanks for your feedback!

  ### 43. Dash has changed my life !!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

It's so quick and simple to use. All the company's media assets in one place, ready for instant download in a format to suit any project. Dash is a total team player.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

There aren't any real negatives to using Dash, but it's vital to get those relivant tags added. The AI tags automatically created can me rather random at times.I find it faster to bulk upload and edit some of the field data for individual files later.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Dash, you know that all you assets are in a single location for easy access. This is vital when working with an expanding marketing team ... no more searching through numerous folders for that particular image.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Woahhhh this was amazing to come into this morning - "Dash has changed my life!" Thank you so much, that's so lovely to hear. I've shared this with the team, couldn't ask for better than that.

Really do appreciate the review. Thank you so much!

All the best,
Barney

  ### 44. The best DAM on the market!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I really appreciate the platform's user-friendliness! Our company has greatly benefitted from it. Providing our team with a self-service platform has proven to be the best decision we've made!

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

It would be great if there were improved integration options for the Adobe Creative Cloud as we rely on it heavily in multiple departments. Apart from that, there is nothing I would want to change.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am fortunate to not be bogged down with endless marketing requests, which allows me to focus on aiding the company's growth. In the past, we would often receive requests for small items such as pictures or documents. Now, all of these items are conveniently located in one central location, accessible to everyone.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Wow, best DAM on the market?! You're too kind, thank you so much! We're very happy to hear how much your company has benefitted from it. Thank you for sharing such lovely feedback :)

Totally hear you about our Adobe Creaetive Cloud integration. We're looking into this, so watch this space! Is there anything in particular you'd like to see it do? If so, feel free to leave your feedback using the link below or get in touch with us via our in-app chat.

Thanks again! Have a great day,
Barney

  ### 45. Great for sharing media

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I like how easy it is to manage media from multiple partners. I create a separate, password-protected portal for every partner in my business. And I made folders and subfolders for every project. Our partners love it, it's a permanent and safe storage for all media that you can download at any time.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

That you can only download 500 images at one time. DASH are aware of this, so hopefully they are working on a way to fix this.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to transfer huge media files to external people. They would never fit as an email attachment, and other mainstream media-sharing sites have a time limit for when you can download the content.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Thank you for your review! Fantastic news hearing you're finding so much value in Dash's portals - that's great to hear.

We'd love to hear more about the workflow re: downloading more than 500 assets at a time, would you mind sharing with us so we can get a better understanding of how Dash could help with this? In the meantime, it's also possible by using our API - I've linked to an article about it below.

All the best,
Barney

  ### 46. DASH - Digital Asset Management delivers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

DASH is a great Digital Asset Management platform. It's really intuitive to use and flexible enough for our client's business needs. I have a little experience of other DAM systems, but from what I do know DASH delivers.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

The dashboard is easy enough to use, but could do with some 'design' adding to enhance the user experience. I'm not aware of a mobile/tablet app version of the platform perhaps this would improve the offering for the user.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DASH is a repository for all my clients brand assets, logos, fonts, photogrpahy, video etc and is the primary source of stored information for a key client and their collaberators.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hello,

Your review was lovely to read, thank you for taking the time to write it for us!

And we're super happy you went with Dash for your first foray into digital asset management systems. I'm biased of course but you made a good choice ;)

We don't have a mobile app at present, but we have taken care to make sure Dash itself is mobile-optimised so it should run smoothly on your device. How would you improve the dashboard? We'd love to hear more - please do feel free to drop an item into our feedback board so other users can vote on it too.

Thanks again! All the best,
Barney

  ### 47. Quick setup, easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

My team used a combination of Dropbox, Google Drive, SharePoint, and a local server to store images and video. Dash allowed us to bring everything together into one place with clear categorization and sharing options.

Auto-tagging works pretty well. You can determine how exact you want the tagging to be, which is a great feature. Importing images brings over the meta data, and you can allow Dash to scan images for words in the image and auto-populate the words found into the description or another field. The scan for words is not the most practical feature for my team's needs, but I could see it being valuable for some businesses.

Dash shares their development timeline and solicits users' feedback on what new features/functionalities are desired.

What I love most is that Dash charges by the asset, not by the amount of space you use. So, a 200MB video costs the same as a 1MB photo. It makes it very easy to understand whether you might go past your limits.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I don't care for the search function being sticky - as in, you have to actively remove your search. Occasionally, I'll go to Dash and get a little confused because I don't see the assets I expect, and that's because a past search is still applied.

I also wish that .cr3 raw files would preview. .cr2 previews, but not the more recent version of Canon's raw file format.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My team's assets are no longer scattered around random places. Instead, they are very quick and easy to find, sort, categorize, tag, and share. We don't need multiple size versions, as the UI allows you to download to a specific cropping/size.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Thanks so much for your review! We really appreciate you taking us the time to leave us one.

Your feedback on how we can improve is totally valid. We're currently looking into previewing .cr3 raw files - I've linked to the ticket in our feedback portal at the bottom of this comment, so do vote on it if you haven't already :)

All the best,
Barney

  ### 48. Good, easy to use platform with potential to improve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica N. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Easy to upload and share files.
Simple and easily accessible desktop view.
Clear thumbnail view of images and selecting multiple files.
Adaptable homepage is nice to add some basic brand customisation.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Search - you have to delete your last search or restart Dash before clicking on the new thing which is confusing and would work better if it worked the opposite way - click on the folder, then search the word within folder. Resets when you click another folder.
Mobile use is awful due to UI design but necessary for use with social media.
It needs the ability to drag files between folders or cut/paste rather than trying to find the folder under edit which is time consuming.
It would be great if we could hold different file types on the same link. TIFFs for high res and jpeg/png for low res.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to save and share our image library to a hosted asset bank that we can share with showrooms, press and internally. Saves everyone having all the images downloaded to a file server like Onedrive when they might only want low res or other crops.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Jessica, thanks so much for the detailed feedback, we really appreciate it :) In terms of the specific points you've mentioned, let's see if I can help:

Search - As you've spotted, clicking a different folder won't remove all the other filters you've added. The idea with filtering is that you can keep adding/removing filters to refine the search to your needs. If you want to start again, just click the "Clear all" button at the top of the filters pane. A folder is just one of many filters, it isn't a 'master' field that resets everything else. Hope that helps.

Mobile - Dash is designed to work really well on mobile so I'm sorry to hear you're having a bad experience here. I'd love to hear more if you'd be able to contact our support team. We are exploring how we could best improve the mobile experience so your feedback would be really valued. For now, I've added your vote to our feature request for this (https://feedback.dash.app/b/8my8jo07/feature-ideas/phone-mobile-app)

Drag and drop - I agree, this would be awesome! The reason we don't currently have this is because assets can be in multiple folders so dragging and dropping isn't straightforward, but we can definitely solve that. I've added your vote to our feature request for this (https://feedback.dash.app/b/8my8jo07/feature-ideas/drag-and-drop-to-folder).

Storing different file types - the philosophy of Dash is that you upload the highest quality version of your asset, and then use Dash's download options to access other versions. E.g. you can upload a high res TIFF file, and use the download menu to download a smaller JPG when needed. You don't need to worry about manually uploading multiple versions, as Dash can create these for you. Does that make sense?

If you'd like to discuss any of these topics further I'd be very happy to. Just get in touch using the in-app chat. Hope to hear from you!

  ### 49. Great DASH Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Fine Art | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

DASH is extremely user friendly and customizeable to your unique business needs. They do not overcomplicate the basic needs of a DAM system which we have found very common among competitors. They are super helpful with the onboarding process and went above and beyond on an unforseen issue we had.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

We have been utilizing DASH for almost a month now and so far very happy with it all, no complaints here!

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DASH is helping us find available assets for specific meetings/clients. We tend to work quickly with tight deadlines and DASH has allowed us to prepare for such meetings in a quick turnaround.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Wow what a lovely review, thank you! We try our best not to overcomplicate things - who wants a load of complex features and clunky UX getting in the way of actually trying to use the product? :) So great to hear you feel that way, too!

All the best,
Barney

  ### 50. Dash is the best low budget DAM!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richie H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

We looked at other DAM soultions when we decied to switch from using Google Drive, Dash was the best price we could find. Dash has all the same features that more expensive DAM software have. The customer service we have recieved from Dash has been amazing as well.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

What is there to dislike about day? NOTHING!

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Dash to organize all of our University Photo Assets. It has been a time save and we are able to find the perfect photo quickly.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Richie,

Thanks for your lovely review, what a way to start the day! Really great to hear you're finding Dash has all the same features the big-budget DAMs have without the hefty price tag :)

Do get in touch if you have any feedback or there's anything we can help you with

Best wishes,
Barney
