## About Dash
Dash is an affordable digital asset management (DAM) tool for ecommerce brands, with pricing starting at $109 per month. It gives marketing and creative teams one clear place to store, organise, and use their brand content. If you’re using Google Drive or Dropbox to manage creative, things get messy fast. Files are hard to find, links break, and teams waste time searching instead of launching work. Dash is built to fix that. With Dash, all your brand assets live in one place — from product photography and campaign creative to influencer content and UGC. You can upload files directly or collect content using upload links, so creators, agencies, and partners can send work without needing access. Once files are in, your team can approve content or leave feedback before it’s used. Dash makes assets easy to find as your library grows. Images are automatically tagged using AI, and you can add your own custom fields like product line, campaign, usage rights, or photographer. That means less digging through folders and more time actually using your creative. When it’s time to launch, Dash helps you move faster. Resize and crop images directly in the platform, download them ready for different marketing channels, or push product images straight into your Shopify listings. Dash also makes sharing simple. Your retail partners need access to your product creative. Rather than dealing with individual requests and WeTransfer files, set up custom branded portals for them. Your retailers can find the assets they need easily, without needing to come through you. Dash helps ecommerce teams to: Store all brand creative in one organised place Collect content from creators and partners without the chaos Find assets quickly using AI tags and custom fields Prepare images for marketing and ecommerce channels Get creative into the hands of your retail partners Share approved assets externally without extra admin Dash includes unlimited users and all features on every plan, so teams don’t have to manage seats or upgrades as they grow. It’s used by ecommerce brands that want less time hunting for files — and more time getting creative work out into the world.

## Dash Reviews
  ### 1. Dash app helps us to maintain an efficient system for organizing our image collections.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Currently, the company I am with that uses Dash has only a few people that need access to our assets, so the Starting plan was perfect for us. Wonderful ease of access, image uploads are quick, we have found the tags useful, and it is easy to collaborate on collections.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I initially had an issue with images not being uploaded correctly using Dash on Safari browser, but after alerting their friendly and responsive customer service to this it was not long until they looked into the issue and found a solution.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, the Dash app is working well for us and we are happy to keep using it to manage our assets and make everything on our end more organized, efficient, and looking professional.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Thanks for your review! Ah that's great to hear our team were able to clear up that issue. I'm really happy you're finding Dash useful! If there's anything we can help you with in the future, do let us know

All the best,
Barney

  ### 2. Easy to use and manages every requirement!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elli L. | Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash seems designed to make the tedious process of image collation and organisation easy and simple. I enjoy the way that the AI helps speed up the process but also allows the ability to customise folders/tags so you are not limited by the tool.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I would like to be able to edit the image title format on mass (i.e removing all dashes between words etc).

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a huge amount of company-owned and stock assets that were stored across multiple locations and folders . This was not only an issue when trying to find an asset, but we found we were wasting budget recommissioning some images that we already had. Using the tag and title system it also provides more clarification what the image is, rather than shifting through folders with vague titles and trying to reidentify what the image was we now have confidence that every product and project images can be simply found.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Thanks so much for your review Elli :) Really great to hear how much time Dash has saved you, as well as preventing you from recommissioning photos.

I've updated an existing feature request based on your feedback about bulk editing, which I have linked to below - feel free to add comments to this. We always read and consider all feedback!

  ### 3. Best DAM System!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash is the most user-friendly and intuitive DAM system. It has a clean, modern UX that is better than the other DAM systems out there. It has the right amount of features--it's not bloated and complicated, but stores and organizes your assets in a clean, visually-appealing interface.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

The initial upload process felt a bit clunky, but it is effective, nonetheless. It would be helpful to have the batch upload be available in Dash itself, if possible.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We now have cloud-based, quick access to all of our photo assets in a searchable database. With a quick search, we can see our relevant assets for each project.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi there, and thank you so much for your review! Being incredibly user friendly, with the right balance between features and usability is exactly what we are going for! We are actively developing in-app bulk importing as we know that would make getting started a lot easier, although we can always do the imports for you. I've added a link below to an example feature request for importing from Google Drive, which you are welcome to vote/comment on, or add a new idea!

  ### 4. A great option for small a medium Marketing Teams!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriela B. | Digital Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

We have switched from Bright's Assentbak product to this new Dash platform. Why? Because we are a medium-sized company that works with distributors around the world, but our asset approval system is not that complete.
Dash makes it even easier for us to store information for very basic users in the digital world.
While it's a safe option for small Marketing teams, it's also for us who need 50+ users.
It's very visual, the asset recognition system is very effective, the folder structure and filter settings are efficient.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

There are small details still under development but they are not vital for the correct functioning of the platform. The best? The team behind it is very attentive to requests for improvement.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The company implemented a DAM already more than 3 years ago. The time optimization we have achieved is more than 70%. Much in the last year where we have many retailers that open e-commerce or marketplace with our products; and they can take advantage of all the assets for their marketing.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Thank you so much for your review Gabriela! So glad to hear the migration to Dash has gone well and that you feel Dash can scale as you do - this is very important for us. Do keep your feedback coming, we are always listening and evolving Dash based on user feedback like yours :)

  ### 5. First impressions

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

It's an easy place to see all assets in one place, usefully organised and with a simple operating system. It's not too complicated to use. Particularly useful for someone new to a job like me.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I don't know where the assets were used, so maybe there could be alternative ways of organising them such as by project type as well as grouped in folders of each campaign. I think there should be a download list so you can see what you've just downloaded or searched

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's giving me oversight of the imagery and various campaigns which is useful for me starting a new job and not bveing familiar with past projects. It's saving time and questions

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi there, thanks so much for the great feedback!

We do have reporting on what users have downloaded, available for admins from Admins > Users. Maybe give that a try?

You can track where assets have been used using custom fields. That will give you dropdown lists and checkboxes to fill in what campaign was used etc. Just head to Admin > Fields to set this up. Any problems, just message us in-app and we'll be happy to show you!

  ### 6. Finally, a DAM solution that fits my needs and budget.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Travis M. | Marketing and Sales Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I've spent years looking for the perfect DAM. One that's not too big, not too small, offered all the features I needed, none that I didn't, and came in at the right price. Finally, I came across Dash and signed up for the free trial. After putting it through the wringer for several weeks, I couldn't have been more impressed and was happy to commit to a full year. The Dash platform is absolutely perfect for my purposes. It's simple, easy to use, and very affordable for a small business. I also appreciate that the setup was super quick and streamlined.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

There is nothing to dislike at this point. I'm very satisfied with Dash and the features.

**Recommendations to others considering Dash:**

If you're looking for a simple, affordable DAM solution, check out the free trial of Dash.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're a small business with a variety of partners throughout the United States. All of our partners, as well as our internal employees, constantly need access to updated materials to use in the field. Dash helped me get those files off of our servers, organized, and into the hands of those who need them.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Travis,

This is a lovely review, thank you so much! You've made our day. We built Dash to make it super easy for small businesses to get up and going with, so it's great to hear that's been the case for you. And I'm relieved for you that your hunt to find the perfect DAM is finally over! :)

If you have any feedback as you use the product more, just get in touch and let us know.

All the best,
Barney

  ### 7. Excellent DAM System at a reasonable price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I love how easy Dash is to use and share with other team members. Uploading is simple and I can tag and categorize while items are being uploaded. The system has a pretty good autotagging AI system that is helpful. I also love that my colleagues can download my files at their original file size as well as smaller pngs, jpgs, or social media sizes. Plus, the lower level plans have several seats, and adding more storage is inexpensive. Dash is a gem that I was lucky to find.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Everything is pretty solid. If I had to comment on one thing, it would be that autotagging can get a bit aggressive with its assumptions. I think that this is a great product that can only get better.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Dash, my colleagues had no idea what images and designs had already been created and would have to take the time to duplicate the work. Or the would ask me for a file and I would have to search and find it. Now we can all find the hosted files (and I can get them off my hard drive to free up space).

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

This was such a lovely review to read, thank you for taking the time to write it! "Dash is a gem that I was lucky to find" - well, we're very lucky you found us too!

Re: auto-tagging, you can adjust how many tags get added to your images if that helps? I've popped a link to the help article below this comment.

Would love to feature you in our Customer Stories section if you're up for it - just drop us a message using our in-app chat and ask to speak to Barney, I'll set something up :)

Best wishes,
Barney

  ### 8. Dash : A review of the image platform : Easy to use!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

The fact that you can search for images and find it easily, makes life very simple for us as marketers. It's ability to use AI to collate images together is very beneficial.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

The search bar is extremely large. As a result, when creating portals, it takes center stage, and the UI isn't great for someone who is using it as a consumer. Additionally, the navigation isn't very user friendly either.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a large number of images in our database, and the ability to search for images and create and share collections on the fly creates a great workflow for us.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi there, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review :)

I'm sorry you feel the user experience isn't great for portals. We'll definitely take this onboard. The search field is intentionally large as that is one of the key starting points for users - as our search covers all asset metadata, it is a good way to get started, before adding extra filters to narrow down the results. I'm sure this isn't the use case 100% of the time though, so please do raise this as an idea with an example in our Ideas Hub (feedback.dash.app) as that is the primary way for customers to let us know what they'd like us to improve about Dash!

  ### 9. A great platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bethan S. | Marketing Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

We like that Dash enables us to have everything in one place and is very user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

We dislike that the folders are not previewed in the middle of the page. We have raised this as a suggestion with the Dash team.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a portal for our clients where they would have access to our files in one place. The portal function in Dash enables us to do this.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Bethan, thanks so much for leaving us a review! Great to hear Dash's features and ease of use are serving you well :)

We hear you loud and clear on the folders - in fact, we are already designing the first iteration of folders improvements, so watch this space!

  ### 10. Dash has been very convenient for my business needs and easy to use!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

The interface is both aesthetically nice and easy to use! I was able to figure how to navigate around and figure out how to do things quickly. It's been very useful for my business needs. 10/10 would recommend to many other businesses!

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Nothing at all, honestly! It's only been a year of usage but I hadn't run into any issues.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My business was looking for an application that could store and share our documents without compromising our own privacy and allowing others to access shared files without difficulty.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Thanks so much for your lovely review! So happy to hear you're getting on well with Dash.

If you have any feedback on how we can improve in the future, or need a hand with anything, just let us know.

Best wishes,
Barney

  ### 11. Good tool, however the embedded photo links being at an additional cost was not clear when signed up

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelli C. | Online Marketplaces & Partner Trading Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

It has a clear and simple look and is easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

The image-sharing process would be much more efficient if embeddable links could be created in bulk.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing us to provide image URL's to 3rd party companies

**Official Response from Emily Lamb:**

> Hi Kelly, thanks for your feedback! We're sorry it wasn't clear that the embedded links weren't included in your plan. We try to be as transparent as possible by listing the features and costs for each plan on our pricing page (https://dash.app/pricing) and offer bolt-on options for when you're in between two plans, but we'll have a look at what else we can do to make this clear within the application self sign-up flow.

Creating embeddable links in bulk is a great idea! I found this similar idea on our feedback portal; give it an upvote to help us prioritise this in the future!
Just click the link below my comment.

  ### 12. Easy and very helpful!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emma A. | Junior Graphic Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I like the search function from tags, being able to search a colour or product to find an specific image, make it so much easier than looking through loads of folders!

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

An extra feature would be, I would love if Dash could connect to google drive and so when I found an image I wanted to use I could click the link and it would open up the file in Google Drive.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spending so much time opening different folders looking for a specific file or an image I want to use, and not having to rely on trying to load huge files off of the cloud

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Emma,

What a great review, thanks so much for taking the time to write us one! Totally agree, we use Dash ourselves (of course) and it's such a breath of fresh air being freed from all the shared drive folders right?

Good point about integrating with Google Drive. It's something we've been asked about before too - would you mind voting for it (link below)?

Thanks again! Have a good weekend,
Barney

  ### 13. Dash has been super simple to use, highly recommend.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard P. | Head of Content, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Auto-tagging, and drag and drop uploads, social media sizes,

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Can't seem to find a way to search for a specific user?

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

unlimited collections make it perfect for sending assets to agenices

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Rich,

Thanks for your review! Very cool you're using Dash's portals to get assets to your agencies.

Good point re: user search. We're considering options for better managing users in general - we have an item for it on our feature request backlog. Do vote on it if you haven't already and you'll be notified if we start work on it. I've linked to it below.

If you have any other feedback, or need a hand with anything, you know where we are :)

Cheers,
Barney

  ### 14. Very happy, but see room for improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua S. | Digital Marketing Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I can just ask my colleagues to send the dash link, or I can go onto dash and find stuff quite easily

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Scrolling through pics can be slow as they take a few seconds to load.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralised storage so my colleagues all work from the same resource is great.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Joshua,

Thank you for leaving us a review! Great news that you're happy with Dash :)

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear about the issue you were having when scrolling through pictures. That shouldn't be happening - would you mind getting in touch with us on help@dash.app (or by starting an in-app chat) with some more information and we can look into it?

All the best,
Barney

  ### 15. Fast, agile solution for online digital asset management and collaboration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael V. | Director of Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

The platform is affordable and flexible. It has features comparable to enterprise solutions for digital asset management. From permissions-based access to dynamic cataloging and meta data management.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

So far our team has not run into significant snags. This platform provides an easy-to-use solution for publishing digital assets in a secure way and providing access to team members, partners or contractors working on projects.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At the highest level, this provides us with a solution above and beyond the features Dropbox or Google Drive offered for storing assets. The support for metadata and versioning has been valuable.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Thanks so much for your review Michael :)

So pleased to hear how well Dash is working for you. If you do ever have any feedback for how we can further improve the product, please do contribute to our Ideas Hub (link added below).

  ### 16. Excellent stuff

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash has really simplified our photography library. It's made everything much easier to find and keep on top of, and the support (when needed) has been timely and useful.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

For what we need it for, I haven't really encountered downsides as yet.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Up to date photography was kept in various locations, or on drives that not everyone had access to. Dash has speeded up and simplified the process – and helped to maintain control over what is used for the brand

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi there, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review :)

Really pleased to hear how well Dash is working out for you. If do have any questions or problems in future, please don't hesitate to contact us using the in-app chat.

  ### 17. Dash review January 2023

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Dash?**

The UX / UI is very intuitive, easy to use for a small team like ours.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Nothing so far, we are atisfied with our experience using Dash.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash is helping us organise, use and share our digital assets. We wanted to be able to access / store / categorise our assets easily, that was our main pain point (everything was on a disorganised shared file before).

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review, we really appreciate it :)

If there is anything we can do to help or improve Dash, please do get in touch via the in-app chat!

  ### 18. Exemplary service and platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonno N. | Content and Media Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash is a superior service not just because of what the platform offers, but for the customer service. The team are always willing to assist and is always eager to improve Dash, and is continually looking at ways to make Dash even stronger. Would highly recommend it.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Not much. It's an easy-to-use platform! The interface can look better aesthetically. Sometimes, the transfer of very large files can crash, but the team at Dash assisted with a work-around.

**Recommendations to others considering Dash:**

The platform is incredibly simple and the customer service is unrivalled.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Housing large-sized video content. We've also used Dash beyond its design as a transfer system. I upload raw material to a folder and make it accessible to a third party.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review Jonno! I'm so pleased to hear that Dash is working for you and that our support has also made a difference :)

I'd love to hear more about how we could improve the interface, as we like to think our UX is one of our strong points! If you could get in touch to expand on this feedback that would be great. Regarding large file uploads, if you are doing this in your browser then yes really large files can be tricky to manage due to internet connection drop-outs etc. As you say, we have a number of alternative options we recommend for bulk uploading so I'm glad we were able to help you with this.

As always, please keep your feedback coming!

  ### 19. Excellent storage and viewing capabilities

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris M. | Technical writer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I can search for keywords to find the images I'm looking for. I like the create folder options.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Haven't found a flaw yet! But I would like to be able to add more photo descriptions. I don't have any suggestions for making the product better at this point.

**Recommendations to others considering Dash:**

When you upload your photos, be sure to add as many descriptive words as possible for searching.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We asked for identification of the photo format and that was added almost immediately!
I am definitely more productive when I can find the information I'm looking for.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Chris, thanks so much for your review :) . I'm really pleased to hear how well Dash is working for you. Regarding adding folder descriptions, did you know you can add additional text fields? These can store any text you like, so that might be worth looking at. I've left a link to the different types of available fields below.

If you have any questions or would like any help with this, just reach out using our in-app chat and we'll be happy to help.

  ### 20. Dash gives us an intuitive interface and speed and leverage we never thought was possible.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jay F. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

The ease of uploading and tagging photos is what we like best. We can upload an enormous number of photos simultaneously and we can page through them to add tags and put them in custom categories. We can then search, find and download them for our projects instanteously. The AI facial recognition is really great.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I haven't found anything I dislike yet. Nothing is missing from the project.

**Recommendations to others considering Dash:**

We checked out other products and found Dash most helpful for our staff to get the job done - easy to upload, tag, find and download. That is more important than complex interfaces and bells and whistles that get in the way of getting the job done.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a large collection of photos and graphics. Dash is helping us store, tag, and retrieve them quickly, so we will save money on buying more stock photos and we will save staff time (and that means money) by having the photos immediately available.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Thanks for leaving us a review Jay! It's really appreciated. Glad to hear you're finding Dash's ease of use helpful in getting the product used in your team.

Do get in touch if you do have any feedback of how Dash can improve in the future! We're all ears :)

All the best,

  ### 21. Multiple assets, just one place.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria Gabriela B. | Digital Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

One of the tools that I like the most is that it can read the descriptions that appear within a photo. This helps a lot in packaging photos by language.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

That you cannot preview assets that are not inside a folder; the current preview is the sum of all the assets in the folders.

**Recommendations to others considering Dash:**

It is an ideal product for small businesses or entrepreneurs who produce a lot of assets per year, such as photos, videos, etc.
Not only to share but to have order within so much digital chaos that we often cause.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sending outdated photos of products for the opening of marketplaces. Here you always have the latest version.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Maria,

Thanks for leaving Dash a review! Great to hear you're finding Dash's 'search by text in image' feature helpful.

On the issue you mentioned, you can view the assets not in a folder using the “not in any folder” option in the Folders filter. If that's not working then please do get in touch using the in-app chat so we can fix it :)

Thanks again,
Barney

  ### 22. Saving hours of photo searching

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sannah K. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I like the auto tagging feature that allows us to search for photos based on specific elements in the photo. Even though I think it can be improved, it has helps dramatically already.
I also really like the ability to do bulk edits while looking at the photos. This minor feature has been extremely helpful for the experience, and helps us get the job done quicker.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

The learning curve is difficult to work with. Since people are so used to the folder systems that we used to have, it takes them a while to get used to seeing the same layer of information they would have gotten right away, like folder naming structure. But we have to just work with our team to find out what works best within the team to achieve the same results, with so much more added benefits.

**Recommendations to others considering Dash:**

If you spend hours looking for photos amongst your folders, would definitely recommend switching to Dash. It has decreased the time we need to look through photos, and enhanced efficiencies dramatically as a marketing team. Its ease of use, and smooth interface makes it a breeze to use.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What was once a time when people would have to go through one person to sort through the maze of photo folders we used to have, is now an easy folder library that allows us to quickly see photos as we need. The speed at which we can see the photos is so beneficial, where with other products, the clunkiness around speed, and viewing photos always hindered the experience, using Dash has become a delightful and quick process in the day.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Sannah,

Thanks for your thoughtful review. Very pleased to hear that Dash is saving you and your team time, and that you feel using Dash is "delightful"!

Dash is designed so users can get going with it quickly, but I appreciate there can be a learning curve when using something new. We're always on hand to support you, so do get in touch if there's any way we can help get the rest of your team up to speed :)

Best wishes,
Barney

  ### 23. The best Digital Asset Manager for startups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren M. | Content Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash is the top digital asset manager on the market for startups.

I spent nearly a year researching and vetting DAMs like Brandfolder, Highspot, Bynder, and nothing was the right fit. Being a small but mighty marketing team, I was looking for something simple and affordable that didn't cut corners on functionality and user experience.

After I found Dash on G2, I was immediately interested. I signed up for a trial and after one conversation with them, we became a customer. The Dash team is incredibly responsive, they answer all of my questions comprehensively, and they continue to release new improvements based on direct feedback from their user base.

The interface is easy to navigate, quick to understand, and designed with the user in mind. My favorite part about Dash is how thoughtfully it was built - it isn't clunky and the features and functionalities of Dash are just right for any startup. It's not flashy or overcomplicated – it is simple in the best way, and highly effective technology.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Due to the subscription level we purchased, we do not get analytics and integrations. I have already been in conversations with my team for us to upgrade and improve our experience.

**Recommendations to others considering Dash:**

If you are looking for a Digital Asset Manager that can grow alongside your startup, use Dash. The support they provide is unmatched, and their product was made with startups in mind.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Dash, our digital asset manager was a database in Notion. This was a nightmare to manage and update. The user experience for my team was incredibly clunky, people could not find what they were looking for, and the ability to organize and tag information was slim to none. Our sales team was struggling to find the content they needed to effectively do their jobs and it was becoming a major problem.

After launching Dash, our team now can find what they need AND discover new content they weren't aware of before.

Everyone has different preferences for how they search for content. Dash addresses this need head-on by having multiple ways to explore and find content, whether that be a text search or using their tags and filters functionality.

It is also very easy for our team to share assets how they prefer too - they can share a public link, or they can download the asset to their desktop.

We've immediately seen an improvement in the education of our customers, and we are actively measuring what type of impact Dash could be having on our sales cycle.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Lauren, wow your review has really blown us away! The team have been thrilled to read this today :)

I'm so glad that our support and our product are living up to your expectations and making a difference to you and your organisation.

Regarding your feedback on licence tiers, we work hard to make sure our plans are fair and that each plan delivers real value with the available feature set. We're always happy to discuss this with you if you aren't sure or have any questions.

Thanks again and please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any more feedback for us :)

  ### 24. Dash is nice!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Environmental Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash is really easy to use and navigate around.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

As a charitable organisation we find the pricing a bit expensive .

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We migrated to Dash from a very old version of Assetbank, which lived on a very old server. Migrating to Dash meant we could kill off the old server whilst keeping our asset database.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Thank you for your review :) Really pleased to hear the migration from Asset Bank went well and Dash is proving easy to use and navigate. I'm sorry it feels expensive (assuming you have our non-profit discount?) - if there is anything we can do to get Dash bringing more value to you please do get in touch and we'll be happy to help.

  ### 25. Easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leonie H. | Marketing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

DASH is very easy for us to use and has transformed the way in which we give our retailers the best of our assets to use on the product pages. We have already seen that our retailers and sales team can easily find what they need instead of trying to navigate endless other programmes and emails. We started using the basic version but moved up quite quickly as we could see the benefit of some of the improved functionality.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

there is nothing that we have found that doesn't work for us yet.

**Recommendations to others considering Dash:**

Do it - its really helped us

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had problems with retailers not easily being able to access our most up to date imagery. Introducing DASH has helped us and our Retailers have commented on how they can now grab evertihng they need in a matter of minutes.

  ### 26. It's very quick & easy to use but it can be glitchy at times

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

It's very simple and fast! I like that you can upload so many images at a time and also edit a bulk of captions at once. You can also easily find different folders.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

It can be glitchy at times, I've had a few occasions where my images won't upload and then duplicate after they disappeared. It would be great if this didn't happen as frequently.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A place to store a large number of images, logged with all the relevant info. I like how the tags have suggestions too, and you can easily add an image into a folder after uploading it if you forgot to earlier.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi there, thank you so much for your review. It is great to hear that the ability to upload and edit large volumes of files in one go is saving you time :)

I'm really sorry to hear you've been impacted by performance issues. From what you describe, I can confirm we identified the issue and have resolved it. If you do ever experience any problems, please use the in-app chat to let us know immediately and we'll always investigate as a matter of priority.

  ### 27. My Dash'n Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I love the ease and simplicity of the layout. Everything that i want is there as well as the ability to download any image and change it to the correct media type.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I can't say there is anything that I dislike, actually maybe one thing. I would like the ability to have SVG downloads as well, and eps would be good too. With that everything would be covered.

**Recommendations to others considering Dash:**

Make sure all categories make sense, but rather than that I see no issues.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash has made it great for a large group of people to find what they need and in the size they need. Social media sizes, as well as any size needed for web work is all there for everyone.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Thanks very much for taking the time to write a review! Great you're enjoying Dash's ease and simplicity - that's one of the things we're most proud of! :)

Re: being able to download in SVG and EPS formats. If you're converting from a JPG to SVG or EPS formats, it won't create a 'true' vector graphic (as it's just converting the basic shapes) so we haven't provided an option for that. However, if you want to make sure your SVG or EPS files don't get converted to JPG or PNG upon download, just make sure to click 'download original' to maintain the file's original vector format.

I hope that's useful! If you had any questions about that, just get in touch with us via the in-app chat and we'd be happy to help out.

Best wishes,
Barney

  ### 28. Brilliant platform with amazing labelling features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maisie W. | Marketing Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

labelling feature is amazing and so useful

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

selecting multiple images could be made easier

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we had 30000 assets to upload, rename and tag. This is proving easy and great for sharing both internally and externally

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Maisie, thank you so much for leaving a review! I'm really pleased to hear how well Dash is helping you. I would also love to hear your feedback about how we could improve selecting multiple images - I will get in touch with you to hear your thoughts.

  ### 29. Made image searching so much easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Printing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

The tagging of images has been the most helpful, this has helped our team search for images in a much quicker more efficient way.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I'm not sure what I dislike about Dash, we are only using the areas of it that we like and are helpful to our team.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were having searching our drive for existing imagery, this helps make it much easier and quicker.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Thanks for your review! Really glad to hear there's nothing you'd improve about Dash right now - but if you have any feedback in the future, do let us know.

All the best,
Barney

  ### 30. The perfect DAM solution for a small business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hans Peter B. | Non Executive Board Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

DASH is the perfect DAM solution for a small company like ours. We have close to 500 illustrations of which many are purpose-made for our clients. With DASH we can easily find and share images internally. Using collections we have private DAM folders for our clients.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Signing up for the service was easy and transferring the images from our previous DAM system went very smoothly.
The only wish I have at the moment is an annual subscription plan.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With DASH we store, find and retrieve images. Compared to the Dropbox solution we used previously, DASH saves us a lot of time plus ensures that we all use the most recent versions of our digital assets.

  ### 31. A fantastic platform - would highly recommend!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

This platform has transformed the way work as a team and has saved a huge amount of time when searching for images for social media and for newsletters. I really like that you can download different crops for diffrerent platforms easily. It's very easy to create links to send to press and external partners. The design is sleek and smart. The team is incredibly helpful and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Only upsides from the last few months using it. We have suggested some small changes and the team have made them.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're blending a few different categories into each other so it takes us less time to label each image after upload.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi there, thank you so much for you review, it is really appreciated. Great to hear that cropping, sharing and the general UX have saved you time!

We're always here to help so if anything new does come up, please don't hesitate to get in touch :)

  ### 32. Intuitive to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Glass, Ceramics & Concrete | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

It is easy to upload your files in larger quantities and immediately attach the different tags to them. That saves a lot of time. Furthermore, finding and categorizing is very simple. The guidance is excellent as well as the response speed of the service department.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Connecting Indesign via C-hub is quite a task to figure out. It would be nice if the suggested tags also become available in Dutch. Hopefully for more Dutch users :)

**Recommendations to others considering Dash:**

Dash is a simple system to store all your digital materials and share them easily!

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All your files in one place. Easily send your files. Simply use your photos on social media without having to resize them. It is easy to use, the program is not complicated and very intuitive, so you can get started quickly.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hello,

Thanks for leaving us a review. You’re the first one to write us one in Dutch! :)

We’re really glad to hear you’re saving time by organising your digital material with Dash. It’s great to hear you say it’s been so easy to get up and going with!

For InDesign integration, is there anything we can do to support you with that? Feel free to let us know via the in-app chat.

(Also, special thanks to Patrick, our technical consultant, for translating this into Dutch for me! Languages were never my forte.)

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Thanks for your review!

Oh no, sorry to hear the multi drag/drop upload isn't working for you - that shouldn't be happening. Would you mind providing details so we can look into it for you? If you start a chat with one of our team when you're logged into your Dash, we can help you out.

  ### 34. Organised and intuitive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

It's so simple to use. As a company we have a huge library of images, Dash organises them in a way which makes it easy to search and download. I particularly like that you can personalise your homepage to suit your brand and edit attributes relevant to you.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Having spent a good amount of time using Dash I am yet to find something I dislike!

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Through having extra storage and more users we moved to Dash to help our successful growing business. The benefits we have realised is that we can create different portals and collections of images to suit who will be receiving them, whether is it press, a customer or another employee.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

What a lovely review! Thanks so much for taking the time to write one for us.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

  ### 36. Dash is So Easy to Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash is very user-friendly. We love how easy it is to upload and tag photos. The functionality works perfectly for our needs.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

We haven't experienced any negatives to Dash. It's been great so far!

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Where it used to take hours sometimes looking through folders to find the right photo for a project, now we can locate it in minutes using the keywords in Dash.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi there, thank you so much for your review, it is really appreciated :) So pleased to hear how much time Dash is saving you. If you do ever have any feedback about how we could make Dash even better, please don't hesitate to let us know in our Ideas Hub (I've included a link below).

  ### 37. Solution for File Sharing Needs in Country and Abroad

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madison J. | Assistant Marketing Manager - Public Relations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I love the easy and straightforward ability to upload a wide variety of files and share them with domestic and international contacts in an instant, without the glitches and restrictions from other platforms such as Dropbox.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I dislike that shared links expire after several days, although I expect there may be a way around this and that it could be a user error. I will look into different link settings, and otherwise, this would be a feature where I'd like to see improvement (such as choosing how long links remain active.)

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We experienced considerable setbacks in file sharing, especially with international contacts. We previously used Dropbox, but poor team management (such as not deleting unneeded files to relieve space) and limitations from Dropbox itself created significant barriers to efficient file sharing. Our organization regularly shares large presentation decks, videos, and social media content, and Dash has made the process so streamlined and straightforward.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Madison, thank you so much for the review, it is really appreciated :)

It is great to hear that Dash is solving many of your asset management challenges and making your life easier! Regarding your sharing feedback, you can create non-expiring share links by adding assets to a collection first, and then sharing the collection. I've added a link to our support article below to help you. If you have any questions about this do get in touch using the in-app chat.

  ### 38. Great image library tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abigail T. | Marketing Executive, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Dash?**

The tagging option means it's so easy to search for an image rather than having to scroll through hundreds or thousands of pictures or trying to remember the name you saved it as in your computer drive.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

To stop anyone from just uploading hundreds of images at once and not naming or tagging them correctly, we have set up admins for the account, which means there's often a lot of images waiting to be approved or tagged, which does take up time, but thankfully you can bulk tag if a lot of images come from the same photoshoot.

**Recommendations to others considering Dash:**

As soon as you upload, tag the images with relevant key words and separate them into folders. That way, it'll make the tool so much easier to use in the long run and means you can utilize the site to its full potential. Also, make use of the asset sharing option where you can select numerous photos and create a link with an expiration date so that you can share images externally or internally without having to download them yourself, which also helps with not exceeding email size limits.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a shared drive for our marketing department, but everyone uploaded and saved images in different ways, and to locate what you wanted within hundreds of folders and sub-files was a nightmare. If someone now asks for something like an image or logo, it can be sourced in seconds. Also, when sharing images externally, such as with our agency to create ads, I had to download them which would take up space on my laptop and often meant that email sizes were too big. However, using the asset sharing tool, you can select which images you wish to share and create a link to put into emails so that they can be downloaded by others.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Abigail, thank you so much for your detailed review, it is so lovely to hear such positive feedback :)

Regarding making sure assets are well-tagged on upload, you might be interested to hear we've just added a feature that lets you mark certain attributes as required on upload, and this will warn uploaders if they haven't filled in those attributes. I've added a link to our support article - please do get in touch if I can help show you this feature!

  ### 39. Changed how we work!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash has changed how we share and manage assets as a team, prior to signing up we had multiple ways of storing and sharing files (Teams, internal drives, etc) which was time-consuming and led to a lot of outdated assets being used. With Dash I am free of constant asset chasing and management, the team is able to manage this themselves with little input from me.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I would like to be able to view documents eg. in Word and PowerPoint online without having to download the files.

**Recommendations to others considering Dash:**

Give the free trial a go and see for yourself.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saving time, and means we always have the most up-to-date assets available to share.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

It's fantastic to hear Dash has helped you bring all your content and assets under one roof. Really glad it's freed you from all the asset hassling too - I know what that feels like, never fun!

Thanks for your suggestion re: viewing Word and PowerPoint docs, sounds like a good idea. It's already been added to our ideas board - do vote and comment on it! It helps us plan which features to build next. Link at the bottom of this comment.

Best wishes,
Barney

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Ease of search function to quickly access content.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Tagging system feels like it could be made more intuitive, maybe by taking up more space on the screen it would be easier to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Dash:**

I haven't had any problems with it so far, I can only recommend the service.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The idea was to make it easier to find photos from across multiple departments. This is realized by the ability to see all recent uploads from anyone in the organisation, not only those in specific folders etc.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi there, thanks so much for you review, we really appreciate it. I'm glad Dash is making it easier for you to find the photos you need and see the activity across your organisation. We'll take onboard your feedback about making the tags more prominent. I'd be very happy to discuss this further with you - just get in touch using the in-app chat :)

  ### 44. Great - very user friendly, but did initially have problems with downloading things

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rox C. | Social & Content Exec, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

the tagging features are really great and easy in order to help find pictures / scenes

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

download difficulties at the beginning but this has been resolved now

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The donwloading difficulties have been solved to my knowledge so thats really useful

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Rox, thanks for leaving us a review! Glad to hear your downloading issues were fixed. Let us know if you need any support in the future :)

All the best,
Barney

  ### 45. A great DAM solution without the setup fees and hassle.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David H. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Speed. Dash was very quick to get started and its performance is really fast too. The learning curve for the fundamentals of Dash is simple and it has been an easy ramp to configure and use. Performance-wise, Dash is really fast. No lag on the UI, search and browse. No lag on metadata edits. Also, the importer is one of the fastest CSV imports I've seen. Integration options with CI connector and Zapier are also really fast to get up and running.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I've only had minor feature requests so far: more error reporting on metadata import, numeric field types supporting range filters etc.

**Recommendations to others considering Dash:**

I looked at a few other SaaS DAM solutions found Dash to be among the top and well-priced. We are a super-small startup so getting this level of functionality without a full DAM price-tag and custom development fees was a big win. I belive this will lower our total cost of ownership significantly vs what we'd initially projected.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our use of Dash is slightly non-standard. We are using it as a standard product catalog DAM from which we create custom collections for our customers.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi David, thanks so much for you review 😀. Really pleased to hear how well Dash is performing for you.

We review all feature requests so we'll definitely be considering yours, and I hope we can make even Dash even better for you in the future!

  ### 46. DASH - Easy and Sophisticated Asset Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyler B. | COO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I like the ease of uploading and organizing our assets. In addition, text recognition in images is a cool feature.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Nothing too much. The one thing that may need improvement is folder sharing without expiring timelimits. Overall awesome platform.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Moving all our assets to one place and making it easy for our colleagues to find assets based on their needs. The search function is incredibly helpful.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Tyler,

Thanks for your review! "Overall awesome platform" - you're too kind!

Regarding sharing folders without an expiry date, you could try adding assets to a collection and sharing that without a time limit. Hope that's helpful! Let us know via the in-app chat if you'd like any support with that :)

Thanks again,
Barney

  ### 47. Easy and fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mariska H. | designer | creative | consultant | ondernemer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I'm a designer and work with DASH for a client. My designs in InDesign are connected with the database from my client's Dash. This way I can use in a easy way al the images and documents they have.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Sometimes the connection is off.
It would be helpful to see how many times and at what page I already placed a image.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't need to have all the images at my one server or laptop.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Thanks so much for your feedback Mariska :) It is great to hear the InDesign extension is working well for you.

I'm sorry to hear you've had connection issues - if this ever happens again do get in touch on our in-app chat and we'll always investigate straight away in case it is our side and something we can fix.

I'll drop you a message regarding the asset reporting feature request as it would be great to hear a bit more about this use case.

  ### 48. Huge Improvement to Our Internal Management Solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash provides a user-friendly interface that makes it incredibly easy to make assets available to outside vendors or internal constituents, but the best feature is the image recognition. The auto-tagging features and facial recognition dramatically improves the process of searching for images. After identifying an individual from a few different angles, I have observed that they were correctly identified every time, even in photos where they were wearing a mask. In addition, the approve uploads feature is phenomenal, as we can now allow all internal constituents with access to upload content, but have the ability to approve their contributions before it becomes part of our library of assets.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

In setting user permissions, it is not perfectly clear what each status means on first attempt. After an initial discovery when onboarding our first group of users, we discovered that you must give permissions to a user to both upload and view content separately, and that the "Contributor" status for uploading does not automatically provide access to view the library.

**Recommendations to others considering Dash:**

While all of the features of Dash are highly beneficial (ex/ image recognition, sharing via collections and portals, etc.), to maximize the usefulness of this tool, you must have a good internal organizational structure for assets. In investing in a tool like Dash, I highly recommend first identifying how organizing your assets will make the most sense for your team.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash is allowing us to make our institutional visual assets available to more of our internal constituents and share them more easily with outside vendors. In addition, the integration with Adobe Creative Suite is a timesaver for our graphic designer and the image recognition features make it much easier for her to identify visuals for our collateral.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Thanks so much for leaving us a review! So happy to hear Dash is working out for you and your company. We're potentially working on some improvements to make upload approvals even better in the new year too, so watch this space :)

Cheers for the feedback about the permissions! Contributor users do also get view and download access, but it depends on whether you've restricted their view of certain folders. At the very least it sounds like we could improve the UX for configuring this, so would be great to hear more about this if you'd be up for sharing? Just start a chat with us in-app :)

Best wishes,
Barney

  ### 49. Easy collaborative tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Dash?**

we find it very easy to use when working with people outside the company when you need to share brand visuals. Good to have all the brand information in one place.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

The invitation email and sender could be personalized depending on the person you want to invite. Advanced search settings could be very helpful too.

**Recommendations to others considering Dash:**

Good choice

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

multiple sources of information with the last versions of the information

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Thanks for writing your review! Very happy to hear you're finding Dash easy to use :)

Good shout re: being able to modify the invitation email, can see how that'd be useful. It's something one of our customers has already requested - do vote on it too to give it more weight! There's a link below

Best wishes,
Barney
