## About Dash
Dash is an affordable digital asset management (DAM) tool for ecommerce brands, with pricing starting at $109 per month. It gives marketing and creative teams one clear place to store, organise, and use their brand content. If you’re using Google Drive or Dropbox to manage creative, things get messy fast. Files are hard to find, links break, and teams waste time searching instead of launching work. Dash is built to fix that. With Dash, all your brand assets live in one place — from product photography and campaign creative to influencer content and UGC. You can upload files directly or collect content using upload links, so creators, agencies, and partners can send work without needing access. Once files are in, your team can approve content or leave feedback before it’s used. Dash makes assets easy to find as your library grows. Images are automatically tagged using AI, and you can add your own custom fields like product line, campaign, usage rights, or photographer. That means less digging through folders and more time actually using your creative. When it’s time to launch, Dash helps you move faster. Resize and crop images directly in the platform, download them ready for different marketing channels, or push product images straight into your Shopify listings. Dash also makes sharing simple. Your retail partners need access to your product creative. Rather than dealing with individual requests and WeTransfer files, set up custom branded portals for them. Your retailers can find the assets they need easily, without needing to come through you. Dash helps ecommerce teams to: Store all brand creative in one organised place Collect content from creators and partners without the chaos Find assets quickly using AI tags and custom fields Prepare images for marketing and ecommerce channels Get creative into the hands of your retail partners Share approved assets externally without extra admin Dash includes unlimited users and all features on every plan, so teams don’t have to manage seats or upgrades as they grow. It’s used by ecommerce brands that want less time hunting for files — and more time getting creative work out into the world.

## Dash Reviews
  ### 1. Efficient Folder Navigation, but Search Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

The best thing I love about Dash is the left sidebar — being able to view and access multiple folders at once makes finding assets incredibly easy and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I dislike that the search functionality isn’t as effective as I expected. Instead of showing relevant folders, it displays all the assets within them. It would be much more useful if I could search for specific folders and then choose which one to open

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves a lot of my asset management issues, with it's easy navigation so user friendly operating system!

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi there, thanks so much for you review :)

Being able to search for a specific folder sounds like a great improvement. Please do vote on the feature request for this which I've added a link to below, to help increase the priority of this :)

In the meantime, you can browse for specific folders in the sidebar, and you can jump to any folder an asset is in by clicking that folder's name in the metadata sidebar when viewing an asset.

If you'd like any further support with this, just get in touch via the in-app chat and we'll be happy to help :)

  ### 2. A great platform for storing and organizing your digital assets

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam R. | Digital Properties Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

- Being able to tag/categorize your assets in a number of ways
- Good UI/UX interface
- Great documentation
- Great support through chat and onboarding calls
- Open forum for platform for feature requests/improvements

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

- Contributors can't add controlled tags (but admins should be able to give this capability)
- User should be able to change his/her view to show/hide file meta data that appears below asset
- AI tagging is pretty much useless
- Storage limit is too small compared to competing platforms

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to store and categorize the best of our digital assets to they can be quickly and easily searched and used.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Adam, thanks so much for your detailed review! It is great to hear the feedback of both things we are doing well and things we can improve :)

It is great to hear the UX, support and documentation are all helping you. Here are some thoughts on your other points of feedback:

- Contributors unable to add tags - this is by design so that admins can control the tags in use, to ensure users use the right tag and to avoid incorrect tags (e.g. typos etc) being added. But I'm sure there are plenty of use cases where allowing contributors to create them would help. I can see you've raised a feature request for this - great! That is the best way for our product team to review this idea.

- Users changing metadata shown under thumbnail - that's a really interesting suggestion! Please do raise this in our ideas hub (link below) so our team can monitor interest in this.

- AI tagging - I'm sorry to hear this isn't providing value. AI tags are there to provide an easy way to improve the searchability of assets before you've applied your own custom metadata. We are very close to launching a new AI-powered search that will hopefully offer a much improved experience for this, that won't rely on AI tags. Watch this space!

- Storage limit - thanks for the feedback! I believe we are reviewing this and likely to increase the storage included in our plans in the near future.

  ### 3. Dash makes getting images web ready easy.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rory H. | UI/UX Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

The best thing about Dash for me is having the ability to crop resize the image before I download. As I work almost exclusively building websites for my company, this saves me a lot of time as I do not need to rely on another tool after I download.

The AI tags also make my life easier. Rather than scroll through folders searching for what I want, I can just search it up directly instead.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

While I have tags applied, when I use the search feature it automatically deselects my selected tags. This is certainly a painpoint as I will have to add them back every time I make a new search.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A problem is having to use other tools to resize my asset after I download it.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Rory,

Thanks very much for your review! Very glad to hear that Dash's cropping and resizing tools are saving you time!

Also appreciate your feedback on the search experience and I've shared this with our team. If you have any other suggestions, we'd love to hear them!

Thanks again for using Dash. 🚀

All the best,
Barney

  ### 4. The most helpful team I've experienced

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave P. | Creative and Digital Communications Partner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Right from my first enquiry the Dash team were on hand to help guide through how the system would benefit us and how we could actually use it. It was a breathe of fresh air to have such swift and responsive answers to queries and I felt comfortable taking the project forward.
The UI is simple, easy to follow and the system is great.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Really struggle to think of any... there could be more custom options for types of view when you first login.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding the right image amongst the thousands we have on file is massively painful and a long process. What we did with Dash is solve this by creating tags and fields for each image so users can search for the right image quickly and easily without those annoying folder structures.

  ### 5. Practical and easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Writing and Editing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

very practical, intuitive, easy to use for sharing files with teams, collaborators, clients, ... I use it almost daily for several months, I am very happy with it.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

sometimes complicated to find a file (especially when there are a lot of photos in the folders)

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

share large files
create an image bank
share files for approval
very practical because easy to use and accessible for everyone

  ### 6. Good Experience from Start to Finish

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Easy to use, intuitive flow and makes keeping teams on brand significantly easier

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Would be useful to be able to set alerts when new assets are loaded.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creates an easy library of assets to maintain a consistent brand feel and identidy.

  ### 7. We use Dash to manage our digital assets and it is quite user friendly

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Barrett H. | Business Technology Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash is very intuitive and user friendly and there really was almost no learning curve and I could get going almost immediately. Also the interface is sleek and uncluttered which helps me to easily organize, searc, and retrieve assets quickly and being able to edit the fields and tag options also totally cut down on my jerking around, especially with such a large number of images and videos. Plus, the team of representatives from Dash is just too quick to respond and solves any problem that I had.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I find the search functionality a bit of a pain and it does not always bring the most relevant results and auto tagging can be wrong at times also, causing a need for more cleanup. Add to this not having drag and drop when reordering assets and you have an application that is much more of a headache to organize big libraries in than it needs to be.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Dash, it had been an onerous task to manage and find digital assets spread out across different teams - files were scattered all over the place and finding that one right image was a big pain, but now, with the tagging system of Dash, things have become searchable in just a few seconds and hence no time is wasted. This ease in sharing assets with other departments and external partners has tremendously improved collaboration.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Barrett, thanks so much for your review, we really appreciate it :) It is great to hear that Dash has been easy to use and you've had a great experience with our support :)

We'd love to hear more about how we can improve the things that are causing you frustrations, for example the search not always showing you the most relevant results. Sometimes the answer can be in making use of fields, and/or learning how to make the most out of the search functionality. Regarding drag and drop, that's a great suggestion! Please do vote and add your comment to our tracked feature request for that (link below). If you'd like to discuss any of these ideas or more, please do get in touch via the in-app chat and we'll be happy to help.

  ### 8. Asset Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nadine P. | Product Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

The game changer here is Dash’s tagging system. Given that it’s completely customizable, we can adjust it to it to suit our circumstances, versus having to bend our situation to fit one solution that includes everyone. This is a great amount of flexibility that makes implementation completely seamless and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Storage limits can be restrictive, but it’s a common issue in the industry. The cost is reasonable given the functionality, so it’s not a major concern.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Luckily, Dash has made a great effort in eliminating the need for multiple storage solutions. Eliminating Dropbox and other external drives has allowed our workflow to become easier and more secure.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Nadine,

Thanks for your review! Really glad to hear that Dash’s flexible tagging system works well for you—it makes a real difference when a system fits around your needs rather than the other way round.

Appreciate the challenge with storage limits. But if you ever need more space, you can always add extra storage without having to upgrade your whole Dash plan!

Thanks again for sharing your experience :)

Best wishes,
Barney

  ### 9. Excellent DAM system with features galore

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam H. | Director of Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash is an excellent DAM system that is super easy to use and has all the features you need in a premium asset management system. We got setup in just a few minutes. The AI image recognition is great and the organisation tools are straightforward. Sharing photos and assets is as simple as creating a collection of photos or using a smart search and choosing who to share it with. It's a really fantastic bit of software.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

There's not much wrong with Dash in terms of functionality and features, the biggest down side is the price. It has a reasonable ROI if used with care in terms of the range and quality of assets you upload, but do not look at this as a file storage system - more than a few gigabytes and you're talking $100's per month.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash is helping us share our assets both internally and externally with ease and with additional intelligence.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Adam,

Thank you for your thoughtful review. We're glad to hear that Dash has been straightforward to set up and that features like AI image recognition, organization tools, and sharing functionality have been valuable for you! It’s great to know Dash is making asset sharing more efficient for your team.

Dash is designed to be a powerful DAM rather than a traditional file storage solution, but we understand your concerns about pricing and storage limits. If you'd like to talk this through with our friendly customer service team, just start a chat in-app and they'll be in touch :)

All the best,
Barney

  ### 10. Great creative collaboration tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dominic P. | Technical business analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

We’ve been using this DAM software for a year now, and overall, it’s been a fantastic solution for managing our digital assets. The user interface is intuitive, making it easy for our teams to quickly find, organise, and share photos, videos, and other content.

One of the standout features is the ability to download assets in specific dimensions tailored for different social media platforms, saving us a lot of time. Additionally, the system’s ability to track content consent is invaluable for compliance and peace of mind.

Overall, we’re extremely happy with the software. It has helped improve our productivity, keep our content organised, and make collaboration smoother.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Can't think of any downsides to using Dash.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asset Organisation and Accessibility - Dash makes it easy to organise, find, and share digital assets, eliminating the time-consuming task of hunting for the right content.

Collaborator Management - It makes it easy to collaborator and upload/download content directly, improving collaboration and saving internal teams time on asset management.

  ### 11. Dash is a must-have tool for all the creative teams out there!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nandhini M. | Marketing Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

So my favorite feature of Dash is the simplicity of its use. I use Dash every week to download my marketing resources and it's very easy to use, organise and download different images in different formats.

The Dash's customer support service is also very helpful active and reply me promptly.

And one of the main and easiest features of Dash is that it works well with tools like Google Drive making it even easier for me to keep different marketing materials and images in order.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Actually, I haven't encountered any issues, errors, or difficulties while using Dash.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem that Dash solves for many organizations is the mess of unorganized digital asset management. It helps sort and organize digital assets of various marketing materials. Dash also makes it easy to quickly find the required files with just a click of a search.

  ### 12. Its good if your a small business and want to search your own content

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jen H. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Influencers can upload content directly to a unique link. Makes it much easier than having them whatsapp the content or email so share a drobox or google file.
Our teams can all access the content and we can create our own keywords that are relevent to our data - find everything pink or purple or blue.
Its easy for our team to pick up and use.
It was the cheapest choice for the needs we had at the time.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

We didnt like the onboarding process. And as a result ALL of our content had AI generated tags and keywords that are ALL completely wrong and inappropriate. We have been painstakingly going through EVERY record to remove them all. This is not finsihed. We have a LOT of content that is still not tagged correctly so we cant search through everything because everything isnt tagged. Really annoying and frustrating.

Also, we have double ups from our own initial upload and trying to find them and remove them has been problematic too. I think thats pushing our data storage fee over the top.

We are charged for downloads, when we pay over $3500 per yer to have the service. I have my agency, social media team and admin team needing to access our content, they have to download, Im not sure this is the best solution as we grow. It also creates a concern as our content is downloaded around the place by our service providers. if they coudl just copy the file directly from Dash, that woudl be better.

Customer service and accounts service has been slow.

Im not seeing value and Ive started looking for alternatives. All my team groan when I say find it on Dash... because they cant and I know we have the image or video as i saved it when we got it from Instagram, Facebook, TikGTok or a customer sent it to us. We are innefective and unproductive when it comes to this App and service.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its actaully not solving problems for us at the moment, its making them.

  ### 13. Interface Looks fine but falls short where it matters

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Faith K. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

The interface looks modern, and it gives a high impression, easy to setup and getting started

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Syncing issues were constant, and I lost changes not once but multiple times, when I contacted support to talk to agent you pass through series of generic responses of AI

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently nothing, it never met what I expected from it

  ### 14. So easy to organise and acess

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Toni D. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I love being able to quickly skim over an image or video before downloading and know I have the correct clip. Great for keeping everything organised and tagged.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I haven't found anything yet to dislike.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of having multiple locations to keep and share assets from, we conveniently have them all under Dash now. Easy to access and easy to share.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Toni,

Thanks for your lovely review! Glad that Dash is helping you wrangle creative chaos and find the asset you're looking for :)

If you have any feedback in the future, do let us know

All the best,
Barney

  ### 15. Efficient and at an excellent price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miguel L. | Omnichannel Regional Manager - Reebok, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

The ease of use that the platform provides for digital content management. Speed in customer support and attention. It has many ways to customize and adapt the content and is very easy to understand. It has allowed us to allocate all the graphic content we work with on the same platform.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Some features of mass filtering and information duplication

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They helped us consolidate all the digital content into a single tool for the countries where we have brand presence, allowing us to adapt the content as well as the access segmentation for each of the users.

**Official Response from Katya Rose:**

> Hello Miguel,

Thank you very much for your detailed review, we are very pleased to know that you are enjoying Dash and find it useful.

Currently, we do have an integration with Office through our LinkrUI add-in. I will get in touch with you directly via email to discuss it.

Regards, Katya

  ### 16. Dash is on par with the competition, for half the price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristobal G. | Head of Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

The easy payment options adapted to your budget and size

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Several quality of life decisions very easy to fix (like sharing links being set to expire by default and little details like that)

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can organise a large quantity of assets in a fast and efficient way. Assets can now be shared super easily with other people, navigated in multiple different ways thanks to the tagging system. It solved all of our asset management issues to be fair.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Cristobal,

Thanks for your review! The title alone is music to our ears :) We’re really happy to hear that Dash has made organising and sharing assets so much easier for you and your team.

Appreciate the feedback on default link expiration. We hear you, and quality-of-life improvements like these are always on our radar. I've passed this on to our development team!

Best wishes,
Barney

  ### 17. Friendly Powerhouse

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ellen S. | Management Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash’s pricing is a steal for us. We get enterprise level features (custom tags, client portals, version control) without the enterprise cost. The AI tagging is really accurate for our product photos as well!

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

With 4K files the video preview feature sometimes lags which is annoying for our video team.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash reduces the risks associated with decentralized file sharing (unauthorized access, version conflicts) by providing a unified and a very secure platform

  ### 18. A game changer for image library solutions.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abi M. | Brand Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash is a user-friendly digital asset management tool that helps brands efficiently store, organise, and deploy visual content with powerful search, integrations, and customisable download options.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Naming the files vs downloading the files. It's different and can be confusing.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash solves the problem of disorganised and hard-to-find digital assets by providing a centralised, searchable library, making it easier to store, organise, and share images and videos.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Abi,

Really pleased to hear that Dash has made storing, organising, and finding your assets so much easier! It’s exactly what we built it for :)

Thanks for the feedback on file naming versus downloading. I know things like this can make a big difference, so I've sent your feedback to your product team.

Great to hear Dash is helping keep everything organised and easy to find though!

Cheers,
Barney

  ### 19. Easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash is very easy DAM to use. Their customer support is very good and prompt. We easily implementated our images on to the Dash platform and it's been a very nice tool.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

It woudl be great if Dash had a watermarking feature for downloads

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash helps us quickly see our assets and search for images we need.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Thanks for your review! Great to hear you're making good use of Dash and it's been easy to get going :)

Totally here you on the watermarking feature - we've had that feedback from other users too. I've linked to this below, so do feel free to vote on it and comment - it's useful for us in deciding what to build next.

Thanks again! :)

All the best,
Barney

  ### 20. Streamlined Asset Management with Powerful Features and Easy Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yasser A. | Chief Digital Officer (CDO), Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash truly elevates the digital asset management with real powerful features, simple interface and ease of implementation. We easily moved our vast image library using auto-tagging features and then going on to controlled tags. And, we particularly love the ability to invite in outside collaborators with controlled access to assets when it's needed, while preset download sizes will save our creatives so much time. Most importantly, their support team is very assistive.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

The mobile app is very useful but occasionally lacks desktop functionalities and polish.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash saves a lot of time in looking for the assets, hence speeds up the processing of projects to raise productivity. It has been integrated perfectly with other platforms. It took our asset management from chaotic to smooth. Strong search and filtering, branding, and permissions empower such effective collaboration and consistency for our brand.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Yasser, thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review, we really appreciate it :) I'm so pleased to hear that the onboarding was smooth and that Dash is offering you the features you need while still remaining easy to use.

We are interested in an improved mobile experience and are always open to feedback - please do let us know either via the in-app chat or in our Ideas Hub (feedback.dash.app) and we'll take your feedback into consideration.

  ### 21. Just what we needed

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew N. | Director of Brand & Creative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

The tagging system is completely customizable to what you want it to be. Many other systems force you to work the way they want you to work and Dash allows me to build my own systems for my team to work the way we work without having to adapt to an entirely new workflow. This made implementation super easy.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Haven't found any deal-breakers yet. I do feel like the storage limits and cost are still forcing me to use a Network drive for archival purposes, but again, this is pretty industry standard so I don't know if it's worth complaining about

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We get to stop using dropbox, 'nough said.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

Dash is both intuitive and easy to use. It offers the best value for what a DAM should be without unnecessary features that won't be used. Constant communication is key and it is obvious that the people behind Dash want you to ahve the best customer experience. It's integration with our website also automates resizing of images on import.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Based on my needs, it perfectly fits the requirements.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Putting assets into a system that can easily be searched and tagged accordingly.

  ### 23. Great tool for sharing approved images and videos

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gina G. | Strategic Communications & Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

This tool is fantastic for us to be able to search through our bank of photos and videos to find suitable ones for designs, website and social media use. We also use it track consent for content. Integrates easily with Canva. Love that external photographers can upload directly to the system.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Some of the auto-tags aren't very effective and can take a while to remove them.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to search through our photos and videos to find specific images, and also to tag images with names and consent status.

  ### 24. Great app for managing assets

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lily A. | Senior Digital Creative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

It's so easy to use and find assets quickly and efficiently. The best part is, you can manage what people upload to ensure assets are tagged and sorted correctly.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I can't think of anything that is bad about it!

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us keep assets organised. There isn't any duplicated assets. Our company is now very clear on what assets can and can't be used. Really easy to monitor who is using what.

  ### 25. Fantastic tool for storing, organising and downloading content for a variety of platforms

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave C. | Marketplace Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I log into and use Dash every day - and it's so easy to use, organise and download images for a variety of purposes.

Great being able to pre-set dimensions and crops for each of the different platforms where images are required. Any time I've had an issue and reached out to support they've been really helpful and resolved problems swiftly.

Would definitely recommend.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

As of yet I've not really come across any downsides - as mentioned, any problems we've had have been resolved quickly!

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organising and tagging images made easy. Downloading pre-set image crops and sizes saves so much time and effort.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Dave,

Thanks so much for your review! It's great to hear you're finding it much easier to organise your visuals and get them ready for your campaigns now :) If you do have any feedback or suggestions for how we can improve, just let us know!

Cheers,

  ### 26. Best Digital Asset Management System on the market!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maddy A. | Multimedia, Marketing, and Special Events Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash is very user friendly, approachable in price, and easy to store your assets and share them with other team members.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

As of now, there is nothing to dislike! Very easy to use and effective for our brand.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash keeps an organized filing system of all of our assets in an easily sharable format for our remote team rebuilding our website.

  ### 27. Perfect for Simplifying Our Workflow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul M. | DevOps Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

We wanted a budget-friendly solution for our non-profit, and Dash gives us all the important features without extra stuff we don’t need. It’s easy to use, and moving our images over was simple. Features like automatic tagging and ready-made image sizes have made organizing and sharing images much quicker and easier.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Dash is easy to use and does what we need. The auto-tagging can be a bit much, but you can fix that. The search works well, but if you don’t clear it, it stays on and can be a bit confusing.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash makes it easy for us to manage our images. It helps us find and organize pictures quickly, cutting down search time from hours to seconds. The tagging system keeps us from using the same designs over and over and boosts our creativity. Overall, Dash saves us time and helps us work better, so we can focus on our tasks instead of looking for files.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Rahul, thanks so much for leaving us a review! It is great to hear how Dash has helped your business, and that features you've mentioned have improved your workflows. I'm glad you've found how to make searching and tagging work for you - if you ever have any other questions or would like advice, do get in touch via our in-app chat :)

  ### 28. Great tool for our company!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

It's easy to use and offers all the features you need to streamline media sharing internally and with partners outside yoru business.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Not the prettiest display of media, could be a bit more aesthetic

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamline sharing of media to different partners outside our organisation without having to create separate folders for them each time. Ensure that whatever media is on the platform has already been approved to use and share avoiding using outdated or low quality content. The tags are also very helpful to organise everything making it much easier/quicker to find specific images we're looking for.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi there, thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review, we really appreciate it :) It is great to hear Dash offers the features you need and that it has enabled you to easier collaborate with your partners!

Regarding the aesthetics of how we display images, we'd love to learn more about how Dash could do better here. One way to let us know is to submit a feature request in our Ideas Hub (link below), or alternatively just get in touch and let us know via the in-app chat and we'll be happy to hear and take onboard your feedback :)

  ### 29. Easy to Use at a Great Pricepoint

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jasmine B. | Marketing & Social Media Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I am so glad we picked DASH as our DAM. As a seasonl company, we loved the flexible pricing and how easy it was to use on Day 1.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

I wish there was a way to share a link to a folder rather having to create a separate collection. I also wish I could change the link expiration setting to automatically default to 'never' rather than '7 days'. Auto tagging can be a bit generic.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can finally break through the content chaos and find things that may have been lost in cracks from disorganized files.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Jasmine,

Thank you for your review. It’s great to hear that Dash’s flexible pricing and ease of use have been a good fit for your business! We're pleased that it’s helping you organize your content and locate assets more effectively.

We appreciate your feedback on sharing and auto-tagging. We do have an item on our customer feedback board about sharing folders - I've posted a link below. Do feel free to vote and comment on this, as we use this information to decide what we build next :)

Cheers,
Barney

  ### 30. Everything you need

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash is a great option for medium size or scale businesses looking for a modern DAM that is easy to use, has all of the features you need and none that you don't. The transition from our existing (enterprise level) DAM was easy and relatively painless. Price feels about right for what it offers vs other options

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

No major red flags. Sometimes load speeds haven't been great, but this is on occasion rather than permanently. Would love the system to combine different file formats for the same asset, but not a major gripe and may be coming.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping to ensure the wider business has access to up to date, brand aligned assets.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi there,

Thanks for the review! We’re so glad to hear that moving away from an enterprise DAM to Dash has gone well for you and the team :)

Appreciate the feedback on load speeds. While this happens rarely with Dash, it's something the team take seriously and are working on otpimising - thank you for bringing it to our attention! As for combining different file formats for the same asset, that’s a great suggestion! I've passed this suggestion on to our development team.

Thanks again!

Best wishes,
Barney

  ### 31. Fast, efficient DAM system for our needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash is an inuitive and powerful DAM system which provides excellent value for money. Its interface and feature set makes it not only an efficient resource for power users like our design and marketing teams to quickly access the assets they need, but other less frequent users in our business also find it easy to use without training. The ability to show certain folders to groups of users also helps to minimise search clutter for users who don't need access to every asset in our account. Likewise, it's also simple to share assets with external stakeholders outside of our account and I like the ability to set an expiry time on these links.

Transitioning from our previous DAM platform was relatively fast and easy, thanks to the helpful onboarding training and setup guidance which was included as standard with our plan - unlike most other DAM solutions we researched.

I also like that we receive regular updates on new features and improvements and we can submit our own ideas for improvements, something our previous DAM system lacked.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

There's not much to dislike! With our previous DAM platform, we could collate similar variants of an asset into a singular asset container, e.g. grouping colour and mono variants of something like a logo or icon, which did help reduce search clutter. However, we are using Dash's custom field functionality to give users the ability to easily filter on the colourspace options they need.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability for anyone in our organisation to quickly and easily find the creative assets they need. We have used both Google Drive and another, larger-scale DAM system but both of these had drawbacks. Dash feels like a perfect fit for our organisation's needs.

  ### 32. Great tool for my business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William C. | MD, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Ease of use, version control, accessibility

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

More features than we need, but really nothing negative to say

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gives the business easy access to the right up to date materials.

  ### 33. Easy onboarding and user friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

We needed an app that could help us manage images taken and uploaded from a variety of sources, and we needed it from day to day. Dash worked great for us, as it was very quick to onboard and explain to users, worked out of the box, and was intuitive by design. The customer support has been on point, and were ready to answer the few questions we had about the app.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

There wasn't much possibility of customising the look of the online gallery, to integrate it seemlessly into the design of our own website. Would be great to see more of this in the future.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Online gallery to showcase photos from events

  ### 34. Excellent DAM system that meets all of our needs!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Having assessed a number of DAM systems before onboarding Dash, it immediately stood out as the front runner for the following reasons:

- Very intuative
- User friendly/uncomplicated
- Excellent level of service provided throughout the onboarding process, and beyond.

Transferring the hundreds of images we hold on file onto the Dash was quite a daunting thought, however the process has been very straight forward, and pain free. The auto tagging has worked perfectly and the ability to 'group' controlled tags speeds up the process immensely.

We're really impressed with the number of features available. Being able to invite photographers and external agencies to upload & download images directly (with the added benefit of adding in an approval stage so that we can vet any uploaded images before they 'go live' on Dash) gives us the control we need.

We also love that our Social Media team and designers can download images to 'pre-set' sizes - again a massive time saver!

We are finally able to offer the wider business a central place to be able to access and easily search on a plethora of images!

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

We're yet to find anything that we dislike about Dash

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy access to all 'approved' images both internally and externally - cutting out time spent searching for images and then having to manually share with stakeholders and suppliers.
One source of truth - avoids 'unapproved' or out of date images being used.
Reduction in storage space on our Sharepoint drive, which is where images have been predominantly stored (a big bonus for us!)
A space to store and share Brand assets

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi there, thanks so much for your glowing review :) It is great to hear that we've struck a good balance between features and ease of use, and are able to offer support for the various workflows you've mentioned.

If there ever is anything we can do to help, or anything new you'd like to use Dash for, do get in touch via the in-app chat and we'll be happy to help :)

  ### 35. Really user-friendly platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Everything feels very smooth and slick. The platforms includes a wide range of features that work and the support is quick and helpful, too.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Very little. I think the tagging could be improved by better AI, but I'm sure that will come in time.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speed of accessing and sharing images with colleagues.

  ### 36. Intuitive digital asset management tool - essential for any marketing team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy B. | Senior Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Dash is super intuitive and easy to use. We rely on it daily to quickly source visual assets for many different projects and use cases. The interface is well-designed, logical and straightforward.

It was very easy to set up when we began using the platform, with comprehensive onboarding support provided by the Dash team. Our team members were up and running on the platform successfully within a day or two.

I like the personalisation options — for example, setting pre-set download sizes to align to your CMS fields; adding header images and brand colours; creating your own folder structures and tags; setting different permission levels across users.

I have rarely needed to reach out to customer support, but on the occasions where I have, the responses have always been quick and helpful.

As we've increased our bank of owned imagery, stock imagery and other visual assets, the platform has been able to grow with us to meet our additional requirements.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

The AI auto-tagging feature can sometimes be inaccurate (e.g. misgendering image subjects) or add lots of overly generic tagging that can clog up search results (e.g. man, table, paper, glasses). I'd prefer this to be optional for imports, as you waste time manually removing tags.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows our team members to quickly source imagery and other visual assets for use on websites, social media, slide decks, and other digital outputs. The main benefit is the huge time savings from not having to trawl through badly organised Google Drive folders to find what you are looking for! We also maintain control over the quality of all visual assets used on external channels by pointing team members to Dash as the single approved asset bank.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Amy, thanks so much for your detailed review, we really appreciate it and value the insights. It is great to hear that onboarding went well and Dash has been able to support your needs as they have evolved.

Regarding the auto-tagging, this can indeed be disabled from Admin > Intelligence. You can toggle it off, or you can use a different field for it, to keep auto-tags separate from manually-entered tags. You can also increase the 'accuracy' setting, which will reduce the number of tags created, in exchange for a higher accuracy rate.

If you need any further help with any of this, just get in touch via the in-app chat and we'll be happy to help.

  ### 37. Easy to set-up, easy to use and powerful search

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darren O. | Marketing and Digital Strategy Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Ease of implementation/use and no need to train either brand/supplier side uploading to the portal or customers downloading. Auto Tags are the critical element for us, forget old style file structure or folders, if you create and manage your tags, everything else comes together easily. Accuracy of search/filtering by Auto Tag is supper efficient and acurate. The download formating is really helpful and means that we only need one large/high resolution version of an image and it is simple to save down as optimised/sized social or web versions.
Great value for money when compared to other solutions.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

We are always looking for more insight and a frustrating element is that we cannot simply download a file listing our current files, names, file size autotags etc.. This has to be requested from customer support which is inefficient. The AI element is interesting and useful, but needs some improvement on acuracy.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash makes finding the correct image/asset easy and saves a ton of time when compared to our previous Sharepoint storage solution. Our internal marketing team, and sales support team love the solution and we have just started rolling out the portals to specific customers.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi Darren, thanks so much for your detailed feedback :) It is great to hear you've been able to use Dash with your partners without having to train them!

Regarding the metadata export, this is definitely something we intend to add to Dash so users can generate this themselves without needing to ask support. Until then, we always provide the metadata exports as quickly as possible (usually within half an hour) to avoid disruption.

  ### 38. Dash is an excellent platform to manage your organizational assets.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pranav R. | Sr. Content Writer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

Very clean UI, easy to understand, implement & use.
Dash gives admins a good few features to ensure content & its consumers adhere to org. policies.
Search & filter functionality is excellent.
Shareability is enhanced by collections & portals.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Lacks the ability to browse through content on the site (esp. for PPTs).
This is understandable, as it was built as an image-first platform. Also requires a better analytics tool - need to see who is viewing what kind of content, perhaps for what amount of time, how many (and which) collections is a particular file added to, etc.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash is de-siloing content creation & sharing.
It is helping move on from Google Drive as a rudimentary & fairly clunky method of storage.

Further, Dash is helping with version control - something hard to enforce on Google Suite.

Another good functionality is shareability - anyone can share any material with simple link sharing (expiry customizable).

All of the above are helping organize our content efforts, and enable our sales team to share content effortlessly.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Pranav,

Thank you for leaving us a review! It's great to hear that you're enjoying our UI and finding it easy to search for your content :)

Thanks very much for your suggestions too. We're looking into better analytics currently so should have something more to share on that soon.

All the best,
Barney

  ### 39. Reasonable Learning Curve, Nice Interface and Great DAM Features, Superb Help/Support System.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

I like the features that allow me to organize and attribute my data as I like. Once this is done, the filtering process and tools are great. Editing data within the system is easy and intuitive. There is a simple import mechanism using CSV formatted files that help with bulk editing, or bulk importing needs (an export CSV feature that users can initiate directly would make it better). Using Dash for our DAM keeps it simple for our users so our data and images actually get used! The Help and Support system are very good. I was surprised and impressed by the ability to quickly get good answers through their AI chat help system as I went through the learning curve. Dash can integrate with many other related systems such as Canva, Shopify, Kalvio, and others. Shopify integration is great as you have essentially the full interface and features to work with while you are in your Shopify back-end. Canva integration is limited and not as useful as a result. Overall, we are very happy with Dash. Thanks!

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

The most significant problem with Dash for us is the tiny data volumes in their tiered subscriptions. To me, the scale and relative data limit sizes are out of touch with the realities of storage needs for imagery files, especially video files in a DAM. This is especially true as they advertise that Dash is a low-cost DAM. It is low-cost compared to others, but you are likely to outgrow a 10GB data tier quickly. Even the 200GB tier is not a large volume these days. If costs are truly critical, be careful and purge old or obsolete data (if you are not interested in keeping historical or archived data in the DAM, that is), and be sure to empty the trash bin as that counts towards your data use. If video files are your primary assets, then review your data needs closely.
As I mentioned in what I like about Dash, there is a system for working with CSV files for importing/appending data or exporting, bulk editing, and reimporting data. Currently, the user must request that their data be exported in CSV format via an email or chat request as there is no option to export directly by the user, this I wouldn't say I like as it is limiting to efficient workflows. Also, and this for me is a rather significant problem, as far as I can tell, there is no "Unique ID" that the user can access when working with the CSV formatted data in the a spreadsheet, or true database system. One must use a field that allows duplicates (such as "filename") to map the imported data back into the records in Dash. Of course, Dash has its own internal Unique ID field, but it is not used or available to users. The workaround, of course, is to just be careful and ensure you do not have duplicates on the match field you chose to use as your Unique ID field.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since Adobe Lightroom is not technically a DAM and does not have decent collaboration features, a real DAM was needed. We used Lightroom for image storage and editing, processing etc. but then once images were exported for the users to utilize in social media, or ads, or email blasts etc. we had a mish-mash of images all over the place in folders on all the different devices and computers. These were not searchable, viewable, nor organized. It was a disaster. Dash gave us a relatively simple way to store and make our assets available to the user directly, including giving us collaboration tools for them to work with. We are a small clothing brand with limited resource and staff, so Dash is a great help to us.

**Official Response from Charlie Pinker:**

> Hi there, thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review, we really appreciate it :) I'm glad to hear Dash is working well for you and that you are able to get the support you need quickly and easily when you need it.

Regarding storage pricing, thanks for your feedback. As you've mentioned, our pricing is still very competitive to our competitors, and we only charge by what you use, so you don't have to pre-commit to more storage than you need, saving you a lot of money hopefully! But we are always mindful of our pricing and will take feedback like this onboard.

Regarding the CSV export, we do intend to add this as a self-service option in Dash in the future. You can deal with duplicates in the sheet by using the filesize column to specify the specific file, although I agree an asset ID column might be easier - that is something we are already considering adding :)

Do keep your feedback coming, and if there's anything we can help with please get in touch via the in-app chat :)

  ### 40. Dash has changed our asset organization for the better!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Macyn N. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

How easy it is to find assets. We were previously using Google Drive, and it was not ideal for the amount of content we have. Dash has made finding photos SO easy!

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

Tagging photos is time consuming, would be nice if you offered some help with that.

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash is making it easy to search for and organize our digital assets.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Macyn,

Thanks for your lovely review. And welcome to life after Google Drive! :)

Totally hear you with tagging photos. We actually have something coming which should help with that - watch this space!

Best wishes,
Barney

  ### 44. A great light weight DAM that hits all the main marks.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary K. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash?**

We implemented Dash a little over a year ago and found it to be a simple and straightforward process. It's given us control over our assets in a nice package. Some good things about Dash.

- Easy to implement
- Has integrations into popular systems
- Auto tags assets (mostly useful)
- Custom meta data for each asset so we can mark it as internal vs external etc
- Ability to upload a new version of a asset without the link changing (We host some of our website assets and can update without searching our site for each link)
- Responsive customer service. I've had to reach out with questions and have gotten quick and helpful replies. Most of the time it's a feature I didn't know about, but occasionally it's a new idea and then gets added to their feature request forum.
- The ability to make public and private portals to share content so you don't have to add each person as a user

Overall if you want a good to the point digital asset managment system at a reasonable price. Dash is it.

**What do you dislike about Dash?**

There are some rough edges. A few that stick out

- Not all file types have full previews on the site. PPTs for example only show the preview of the 1st slide. To view other slides you have to download
- Some of the features are a bit hidden requiring digging (Making meta data visiable in a portal)
- Portals don't have a "save password" option

**What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our files were stored in Sharepoint. They were hard to access (tons of different access levels and files scattered in personal drives) and hard to preview. Dash has helped us create repositories of our visual assets in easy to find and tag groups.

**Official Response from Barney Cox:**

> Hi Gary,

Thanks for your lovely, detailed review! Really appreciate you taking the time to write this, and it's great to hear how much use you're getting out of Dash.

Also appreciate the feedback on how we can improve, thank you! I'll take these to the product team, sound like good suggestions to me :)

All the best,
Barney
