We previously used Google Drive for all of our file storage, but the protections on it meant I had to duplicate folders to a public drive to share externally. As I work in marketing, being able to share images with press etc is essential so the portal functionality has been life changing. **What do you dislike about Dash?** If I downloaded mutliple images, I don't get the option to resize them according to the preset dimensions I can use if I download a single image. **What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?** Dash helps us with external file sharing. Working with a new system is always hard but the service team at dash have been so helpful getting things how we want it without sending us loads of Youtube links to watch to then try and fix the solution. Old fashion customer service in a high tech industry you can't ask for better than that. So of the bigger companies we work with can learn a lot from the team at Dash. **What do you dislike about Dash?** Only a few custominsation really nothing that can't be added during more updates and developments but that all listen and you feel like any feedback is being noted to help make a better product. I mean everything is still development just look at washing up liquid they are still developing that and how old is that products!!! **What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?** For a number of years we have struggled with controlled distribution of digital media to a world wide audience. its been problem and we have tried many platforms but we always find limations with the system and its always failed. But finding Dash answered a lot of our problems and with the help from the team at Dash we found the true power of what Dash can offer our business and the many controls we can add to our media distribution. Its been on test with our European team for 2 months to try and find any issues with the system and now we have just rolled out Dash to our global markets and it has replaced a system that has been in development for a number of years. We can now do a lot more because we use Dash and we can now offer our client base of over 5000 new tools to help promote and educate there sales team and marketing departments. Initially, we had everything saved at random on a different platform and it was hard for the wider organisation to find specific items. One of the absolute best features is how the support team will always get back to you extremely quickly. **What do you dislike about Dash?** A few things, but not much. This is a small growing company so I know they were always adding and implementing many more features. 1. share a link that expires after 30 days, making it indefinite. 2. not having a link to share an entire folder. 3. That then in turn, makes searching for images easy; plus, when you find the image you need it has all the relevant extra information attached. **What do you dislike about Dash?** It would be great to have more view-only accounts for stakeholders; this would allow people external to the team to use it as a library at no additional cost to us. **What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are an in-house team who create all our photography. We have several designers, including freelancers and often once a shoot is finished it is really hard to find that imagery unless you remember which project it was for. Dash allows us to create an image library so anyone can access and search for what they need and re-use old imagery, which is so helpful to us. **Official Response from Charlie Pinker:** > Hi there, thanks so much for your review! This really helped our team with finding old really photography that we needed to reuse or adapt. **What do you dislike about Dash?** I've not come across anything I dislike (yet, at least) but maybe an area for improvement would be drop-down options for colour/image style (eg, lifestyle, portrait) instead of having to type the tags. **What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?** Dash makes it so much easier for my team and I by clearly showing icon previews of every asset. Compared to other services Dash delivers answers to questions and needs other did not think about. **What do you dislike about Dash?** Dash makes using a DAM super easy. Dash makes setting it up look super simple. Dash helps a lot with structuring the DAM and uploading the files. But Dash cannot do the job of organizing all your assets on your company server in the beginning… ;) **What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?** Dash makes accessing a wide range of project images for the sales team and sharing them with clients very efficient. It is very straightforward to use and allows us to quickly manage our assets well. The security and compliance features are great, helping us to keep GDPR compliant. I love the AI features – object and text in image recognition. Simple, understandable and incredibly helpful service to use for our image database **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Anna H. | Content Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2022 **What do you like best about Dash?** As well as an exceptional customer service team – super quick contact time and always very helpful if we find we have any problems - the user interface is very simple and easy to understand, and has made its integration into our business incredibly easy and professional to do. As an asset management system, it has saved us so much time when it comes to cataloging our company's expansive image and video libraries and personally makes my job as a Content Designer a lot easier and quicker to achieve. Simple to upload images, create sub-section folders, and add in labels and tags when needed. Also great to have all our images finally in one place. Great service. **What do you dislike about Dash?** We ran into a problem early into using Dash where when we had just one folder created, it meant anything we uploaded from them always tried to connect itself to this folder. Speaking to Charlie, we ended up creating a 'bug fixer' folder, so that when it had multiple options it didn't then tend to associate with a folder at all. While a helpful solution, it was a problem which we didn't actually realise was happening originally, so this did get a little confusing - perhaps that's something to look out? **Recommendations to others considering Dash:** Take the necessary time at the start to fully understand the system - saves your company so much time in the long run. **What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had images literally everywhere when I started at the company, scattered across multiple servers, folders, desktops etc, and this was really a nightmare when it came to selecting images for client presentations as my job involves. Having Dash has meant we now have our images collated into just one central system - it makes design and production a lot quicker and easier to do, and also means we have discovered images that we didn't know we had - has improved variety and quality of our marketing collateral. **Official Response from Charlie Pinker:** > Hi Anna, thank you so much for your review!
