"Quick, Smooth High-Quality Asset Viewing"
4/5
What do you like best about Brandfolder?

I like how quick it is to view assets, even when they're high quality Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brandfolder?

I'm not sure if it's how ours is set up, but it can be challenging to use the search features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good Experience, Could Be Better"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Brandfolder?

I like the organization within Brandfolder the most, there are many different ways to categorize items and find what you need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brandfolder?

I was disappointed in the lack of flexibility with templates. It's friendly for small groups who understand Brandfolder, but not for the general masses at my company who don't have training in Brandfolder. I wish they operated similarly to Canva where there's more flexibility for anyone at my company to use, but also locks down brand colors and fonts so there's brand alignment across our company. We're still using the PrintUI plugin with templates and importing into Brandfolder because it's more controlled. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Nice DAM, but the annual price increase is crazy!"
2/5
What do you like best about Brandfolder?

I like how I can easily create a collection of images to send to someone. It's also easy to tag your images. Their AI tagging is a little over zealous, but it's not an issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brandfolder?

I asked how much the service would go up the 2nd year and they said not much. It went up 37% in year two!!! We BARELY use what we bought and there is no room for discussion. I asked how much it would go up next year and no response. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Has potential for a content library, but it's poorly organized and needs naming conventions"
3/5
What do you like best about Brandfolder?

I like that crewmembers are able to find assets for communications and stock imagery for their content creation and publishing. The greatest asset is making available the most current templates and style guides for the Brand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brandfolder?

It's quite dated on content, doesn't have any current stock imagery from the operation, very inconsistent without a standard naming convention of files (rendering searching for items pointless). Without any sense of when content was created, average or newer crewmembers will have no guidance on what assets would be brand-compliant. Many of the templates are also very basic and hard to format with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Overall a good program, but learning curve isn't great"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Brandfolder?

I like the ability to organize, search, tag and filter assets. They have lots of integrations which is very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brandfolder?

The onboarding isn't particularly helpful. I consider myself a fairly tech savvy person and I was able to figure out what I needed, but the training could be more streamlined. It also seems too pricey for the amount of options in the base tier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Useful Features, But Speed Issues and Limited Flexibility"
2.5/5
What do you like best about Brandfolder?

I appreciate the Metasheets feature, which simplifies the setup process significantly. The comprehensive support during onboarding, including informational calls, was very helpful. I like the competitive cost compared to other DAMs and auto-tagging functionality. I enjoy the multiple search options such as labels, tags, and custom fields that make finding files easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brandfolder?

I am frustrated by the loading issues with Brandfolder, as it often takes an unusually long time to load photos and assets, which is counterproductive given its primary purpose. The search functionality is imperfect, frequently requiring multiple attempts to yield results, which is not expected of a tool at its price point. Additionally, I find it problematic that there isn't an option to change the icon preview size for images, making it cumbersome to review images without clicking through each one individually. I also dislike the lack of a permanent link to labels, which necessitates creating a share link every time, adding unnecessary steps to my workflow. My requests for enhancements, such as larger image previews, seem to go unheard, leaving these usability issues unresolved. I also dislike that our sales reps change every couple of months (I've had at least four or five) and I am never actually told when someone is leaving or who our new contact is. "Versatile and Scalable DAM"
4/5
What do you like best about Brandfolder?

I appreciate Brandfolder's ability to serve as a single point of truth for our digital assets, saving us significant time in internal communication and asset retrieval. Its search and pin features are useful, enabling easy access to archival content relevant to our sales cycle. I find the share link feature particularly useful for effortlessly sharing content with clients and prospects. Additionally, Brandfolder's flexibility allows it to scale with our company, adapting to our needs efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brandfolder?

I find the video playback feature to be pretty rudimentary and not well-suited for mobile use. It doesn't work as smoothly as I'd like, particularly on smaller screens. Improvements in the user interface or additional functionalities would be great to see in the future. The pricing is sometimes difficult to explain to stakeholders, so make sure you get the right amount of seats in the admin and collaborator roles, because you will have to pay a la carte for them if you you need to add an account. "Good DAM Platform - Search UX needs improvement"
3/5
What do you like best about Brandfolder?

My company loves having a place to easily share photos and videos because we have so many business units that need access to these assets. Marketing can easily upload and share out a link quickly so sales persons can easily share materials. We use it very often, I would gather once if not multiple times a week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brandfolder?

We struggle using the search feature on Brandfolder. Even if we label, tag, and organize an asset properly, sometimes the exact thing we are searching for does not pop up the way we need it to. For example, by SKU # Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Really great DAM Platform for Managing Multi-Brand Assets"
5/5
What do you like best about Brandfolder?

Brandfolder makes organizing, sharing, and scaling creative assets across multiple product lines incredibly seamless. We use it to manage a growing collection of branded content across several distinct product families.

The UI is intuitive, lightning-fast, and visually appealing—which makes it a breeze for internal teams and external partners to access exactly what they need.

The nested collections and advanced permission settings allow us to keep brand architecture clean while offering granular control. Asset tagging, search, and usage analytics are huge bonuses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brandfolder?

The platform’s pricing structure, while reflective of its enterprise-level capabilities, may be a stretch for smaller brands or teams operating on leaner budgets.

While the value is evident in its performance, scalability, and time savings, the cost can be a barrier—especially when compared to more basic DAM tools or general cloud storage platforms.

A more flexible or modular pricing model could open the door for wider adoption without compromising on the premium experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlining asset handover and speeding up web content delivery"
4/5
What do you like best about Brandfolder?

Using brandfolder streamlined how our web content team works with the creative folks who provide assets, enabling us to quickly share and update assets without endless local downloads. We can also embed files so much easier than before. This has been especially huge with PDFs that are often updated, removing an entire annoying step in our process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brandfolder?

Sometimes certain features are a bit buried (for ex., the ability to embed media in different formats requires an extra click, the ability to embed video outside of the extra formatting brandfolder adds to the default). These are more learning curve issues, but they're not always obvious. The flexibility of the tool can also get messy if the team isn't aligned on where things should live.
