It's also easy to tag your images. Their AI tagging is a little over zealous, but it's not an issue. **What do you dislike about Brandfolder?** I asked how much the service would go up the 2nd year and they said not much. It went up 37% in year two!!! We BARELY use what we bought and there is no room for discussion. I asked how much it would go up next year and no response. **What problems is Brandfolder solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ability to send a group of images to outside vendors. ### 2. Hard to look for things even using the exact name of the file **Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Weilin Z. | Creative Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2024 **What do you like best about Brandfolder?** Sharing files or document with vendors, third party partners and external folks **What do you dislike about Brandfolder?** I've uploaded countless files into brandfolder but the search functionality can continue to be improved. I've tried looking up a file using the exact name and it produce many results but not quite the exact file popping up. I even tried toggling the filter and search settings but it can be a bit frustrating to work on. I would also think having an image search functionality would help. Brandfolder can already track duplication in the system, it shouldn't be hard to incorporate image search as part of functionality. While I love the functionality of having no duplicates, it's hard as designer trying to upload one indesign working file that have links to multiple images but then if some of the images are deleted in the upload process because it's a duplicate, it'll be hard to track down the image. It's not a package system that automatically links the duplicate image instead whoever have to work with the indesign file will have to open the file and see that links to images are missing and then go into the brand folder to spent 5,000 thousands years to look for the image but typing the same exact name of the images might not populate that exact image so overall really hinders the process. I highly recommend working with designers who uses photoshops, indesign, illustrator, after effects. Any of the people who work with Adobe will have feedback. Love brandfolder but it have a lot of area for improvement, I'd start with image search functionality like Google image. **What problems is Brandfolder solving and how is that benefiting you?** When I share large working files to vendors, it's the best thing ever. I can select all the files, replace/update files and it won't slow down the process for vendor or the need to create multiple links. My favorite part is sharing files. ### 4. UI is confusing and hard to navigate. Links don't allow you to locate original file location. I have people tell me they can't find an asset that I know was uploaded. I have to ask them to do all kinds of things like adding a * at the end of the SKU. **What problems is Brandfolder solving and how is that benefiting you?** I find that it saves me time when people use it correctly. Fewer people are coming to me directly for images and are retrieving themselves.
