## Braindate Reviews
  ### 1. Thanks Braindate Team for making our world more connected!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Donna Louise F. | Global Talent Inclusion and Development Manager | Accredited Coach | Coach Trainer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

When I was invited to speak at the Workhuman Live conference in San Diego, I had the honor of meeting the amazing team and inspiring founder of Braindate Christine. That was also when I learned about their mission to connect people and help them learn from each other through braindates. From the outset, I was blown away by their platform! The best thing about Braindate, in my opinion, is how it fosters genuine human connections and facilitates meaningful conversations. I can't wait to see where their journey takes them and I fully endorse their platform. It's a fantastic way to learn and grow both personally and professionally.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

Honestly, I can't say there is anything I dislike about Braindate. From my experience, the platform has been incredibly user-friendly, and the team has been super helpful and responsive whenever I had questions or needed assistance. I appreciate the mission of connecting people and facilitating learning from each other, and I believe Braindate is doing a great job of achieving that goal. Keep up the excellent work!

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To offer my thoughts, Braindate is addressing the challenge of connecting people in meaningful ways to learn from each other. In a world where digital connections are the norm, it can be difficult to form genuine relationships and find opportunities to collaborate with like-minded individuals. Braindate is tackling this issue by providing a platform for people to connect, share their expertise and learn from each other in a personalized and meaningful way.

For me, as someone who is passionate about personal and professional development, and connecting with people, Braindate has been a game-changer. It has enabled me to connect with people outside of my immediate network, learn from their experiences, and gain new perspectives on topics that I am interested in. The platform is user-friendly, making it easy for me to connect with others, schedule braindates, and follow up with them afterwards.

Overall, Braindate has been a great tool for expanding my knowledge, broadening my network, and gaining new insights into my areas of interest.

  ### 2. Braindate was a great discovery for me

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adama K. | Head of Library and Archives services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

The ability for people who don't know each other to exchange ideas and get involved together on subjects of common interest, either face-to-face or online.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

I think that the time planned for the sessions is fairly limited, and if possible we should think about allowing participants to continue their exchanges without necessarily ordering new sessions.
I also think that mixed sessions with face-to-face and remote participants should be planned.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At the World Library and Information Congress held in Rotterdam from August 21 to 25, 2023, Braindate enabled me to make new friends with librarians from Africa, Europe and Asia. We exchanged views on a wide range of topics, and in particular on the importance of artificial intelligence for modern libraries and information services.

  ### 3. A Great Way to Connect!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer C. | Costpoint Senior Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

Our conference was pretty large so it was difficult to get facetime with everyone who wanted it. Braindate provided us with a structured way to set up these face-to-face meetings so that we could make ourselves available to our customers.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

I thought the meeting spaces could've been a bit more separated but I think that was a limitation of our conference space and not Braindate. Everything really was great!

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Braindate allowed a structured way to provide customers with dedicated Q&A time that they haven't gotten at previous conferences.

  ### 4. Overall good app, some suggestions

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

- the ability to suggest multiple time slots
- not blocking out diaries if there are pending requests
- ability to search by topic

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

- I really struggled to get a topic approved even after making it very broad. Turned out it was because I needed to delete and resubmit rather than edit and it wasn't the actual topics.
- this put me at a disadvantage as I was not able to request meetings with people who didn't have interests listed
- mobile app is not efficient

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to connect with people who are relevant to my network which saves time and makes the event run much more efficiently for everyone.

  ### 5. I’m such a huge fan of Braindate!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lee Z. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

Brain day made it so easy to connect with colleagues and potential new clients. It helped relieve some of the stress of approaching people and networking it worked like a charm!

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

I love everything about brain date! I wish there was a virtual version of it that I could use instead of Alignable.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Brain dead allowed me to meet with potential new clients that have an interest in my business and specific offering of Coaching.

  ### 6. Great Tool for Community Building!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

Braindate was a great networking tool to connect our community across Canada. We had used other apps in the past but could not create the feeling of community successfully. Braindate allowed us to develop meaningful topics for our participants, and many walked away with a connection.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

There was a lot of work that needed to go into prepping our registrants to participate. Even though the platform was intuitive, some participants found it hard to navigate.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Braindate helped to solve connecting leaders across Canada on topics that are meaningful to them in real-time. It can be challenging to make those connections individually; Braindate allowed many leaders to connect, collaborate and share on impact work.

  ### 7. Great service. The app has room for improvement.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alan S. | Founder, CEO & Chief Accelerator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

As someone who has lots of advice and guidance to share, it allows me to be matched with eager professionals who want to learn more and grow their careers.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

The app is slow, hard to navigate, hard to communicate with others, and generally pretty painful.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connecting me with people who seek to learn from my expertise.

  ### 8. Valuable Tool to Build Relationships and Connect

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

The Braindate platform creates opportunities to easily connect with individuals and identify meaningful ways to collaborate together and generate new business leads. The easy-to-use application allows you to search for mutual topics of interest which can be personal in nature or focused on a business topic. I immediately was able to leverage the braindate meetings to spot opportunities and connect lawyers together to pursue new business. I highly recommend this product!

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

I cannot think of anything to dislike about Braindate.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Braindate provides a platform to engage with colleagues through shared interests.

  ### 9. Great app to meet new people at a conference

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

It was an easy way to make new connections without too much hassle.
I was able to make a bunch of 1-on-1s and join a few group meetings. the meeting were added to my iCal and was easy to use during the show.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

Was a little clunky at first to set up my profile but I managed to figure it out. I would have liked an app instead of a web portal and it could have been directly linked to my google calender for all appointments.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was able to use it to meet new people and create new connections during a conference. It's not always easy to strike up a new convo and match with people, so this was really fun.

  ### 10. The BrainDate format maximizes time spent at conferences

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

I love that BrainDate empowers the attendees to create 1 on 1 and small group discussions that really get to the heart of each attendee is looking to acheive.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

I wish there were a better way to share on social media the topics. There is an option but the graphic generated (BrainDate Logo) along doesn't really do justice to the topic or the format. The image generated should actually show the topic , date and time and summarize the format and benefit of BrainDate.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to speak directly to others at the conference with similar interests and gives us a format to connect without fear of being sold to or preached to. You can focus on speaking about topics and meet tons of other thought leaders in half the time and half the effort it would take to try to meet people at a regular conference networking room or hall.

  ### 11. A consistently delightful and smooth experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

With over 17,000 workers across the globe, when we come together for large events, Braindate is what enables our 1:1 and small group learning. I've been a Braindate Champion for several years and it is a highlight of our Sales Kick Off. We even conducted events entirely virtually and were able to offer Braindate very successfully!

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

I would like Braindate to be a available outside of these events, we run internal Office Hours that are identical to Braindates and would benefit greatly from having this technology available all the time.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We only have so much time is our session tracks at our events to cover the most common interests. Braindates addresses the long tail of interests and desires to acquire the knowledge and skills in emerging technologies, business strategies and more. Braindate also allows us to identify top performers and participation for Champions counts towards Citizenship, in turn Braindate helps us live our values and has now become part of our culture, a knowledge-sharing mindset where a rising tide lifts all boats.

  ### 12. SaaS conference app in 2023 is outdated

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arif S. | Co-Founder and CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

Not much from user experience perspektiv. Most of it seems outdated now. Most of the founders are making great software so should Saastr have for them. The only good thing is that they are people using some how.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

I can't trust that my message will be received and reviewed. Many i spoke to also struggled with the app and I also feel that not everyone knows about it. Which is alarming for us who are trying to connect with investors.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping me network and connect to new investors as long as I am able use it

**Official Response from Marie-Gil Vachon:**

> Hi Arif, thank you for sharing your Braindate experience at SaaStr Europa. It means a lot that you took the time to reflect on it. I remember greeting you personally onsite so it means a lot to me to improve our hosting experience to meet your expectations.

I hear you on your goal to connect with more investors. I'm happy to share that it's in our product roadmap to filter by attendee categories! This way, you will be able to easily sort the market to find topics created by attendee groups. It will help you to navigate the crowd and to focus your networking time on investors. Indeed, since 2018, Braindate is the social learning and networking experience at SaaStr's events but it's not everyone that knows about it. There's always a lot happening at the event. This year, half of the audience was on Braindate, but we for sure always aim for more. Hopefully, you'll give us a second chance and we get greater participation next year :) Thanks again for share your knowledge and engaging with other SaaS leaders.

  ### 13. Cool conference app

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Judy S. | VP, Client Relationships, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

It was a useful way to facilitate one-to-ones, birds-of-a-feather, and unconference-style meetups at a conference. These meetings were an excellent way to meet people with similar interests and have meaningful conversations.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

I wasn't a fan of the moderation. One of my topics was rejected 3x. And it could be hard to find relevant meetings.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At a conference, often you learn more from the other attendees than from the speakers. But it's hard to find people who care about the same issues you do. Braindate is an elegant way to address this.

**Official Response from Marie-Gil Vachon:**

> Dear Judy, thank you for sharing your Braindate experience at SaaStr Europa! It was great to have you engage in so many group braindates. Indeed, moderation was a new feature add-on turned on by the event organizer. This year, SaaStr had a code of conduct to nurture learning at the core of the networking experience. They were strict in not accepting commercial or salesy topics to ensure that conversations were collaborative and not a one way pitch. Like everything new, I believe, we need to find the right balance. The intention is for the greater good but we can improve on the moderation and review process so that it doesn't feel limitative - especially after 3x. I feel you! We're on it as we grow our culture of knowledge sharing at SaaStr's events. Can't wait to greet you again next year for more insightful conversations and long lasting relationships. Thanks again for your generous participation!

  ### 14. Success for Virtual Event

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole T. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

I'm not sure how any virtual event is run without this sort of solution. Simple, effective, and solves the biggest issue with virtual events: informal, flexible human connection 1:1.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

The organization using Braindate will be best served to socialize and support "trial runs" of Braindate before and after the actual event.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The virtual event problem of flexile, informal networking between humans.

  ### 15. Great platform to make great connections!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carolina A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

Braindate helped me connect with people I wouldn't have had the chance to meet otherwise. The "Market" page served as a community forum where I could find people with similar interests to mine.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

I did not find many downsides about using Braindate, aside perhaps from the Platform itself which contained a few bugs, although they were not that difficult to navigate.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem that Braindate is solving is that it makes networking super easy for people who don't know who exactly is at the events as we are. It connects us with likeminded people.

  ### 16. Best addition to a conference

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maeva C. | Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

It makes networking sooo much easier. Instead of walking around an expo hall awkwardly and getting chased by BDRs, you can choose a topic and find people who are interested in the same thing as you. Can also filter by job title which is amazing. It also integrates with Google calendar which helps!

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

Nothing in particular! I love Braindate and think every conference should have it.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Makes it way easier to network.

**Official Response from Marie-Gil Vachon:**

> Dear Maeva, thank you for sharing your Braindate Experience at SaaStr Europa. You did it all from groups to 1:1s. You were engaging in conversations with so many SaaS leaders! Thanks again for sharing all your greatness. Your experience was seen and valued by many! See you next year :)

  ### 17. It was well managed and curated

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

Small group sessions are effective for communicating ideas

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

Notifications with a yes no would help to ensure that participants are notified and the host knows who is actually coming. A waitlist feature may be useful to enable the host to automatically schedule another

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Validation of product conceptualizarion and market
Fit

  ### 18. Braindate enables your attendees to drive discussions that matter most to them

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tiffany T. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

The best part of partnering with Braindate is that our attendees get to drive the discussions and topics that matter most to them instead of our organization trying to determine what we "think" they want to discuss. Removing us from this role has resulted in more authentic and long-lasting connections made during our conferences.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

The most challenging part of using Braindate is educating and teaching attendees a new behavior. The educational aspect surrounding Braindate needs to be considered in the planning process to ensure you're doing comprehensive education before the conference so that when attendees arrive on-site for our in-person events, they're already familiar with Braindate and know how to use it to its full potential.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We often hear that our attendees are looking for more ways to connect with one another while on-site at our conferences, and Braindate has been an excellent solution for connecting our attendees in a more authentic way. In addition, we have been able to gather valuable data regarding our attendee's interests, so we can tailor our future study groups, content and sessions in a way that better speaks to their interests.

  ### 19. Braindate provided the perfect opportunity for networking and brainstorming new ideas!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jared E. | Podcast Host, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

Braindate allowed me to connect with a diverse group of podcasters that I likely would not have me during the conference otherwise.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

My only complaint is that I didn't sign up for more than one braindate!

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Braindates is a creative solution for a deeper networking experience as well an opportunity for giving and receiving valuable feedback.

  ### 20. ease to use for event connection

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JC Lee . | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

easy to create new topics
easy to browse all users
seamless experience in web application

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

not easy to use in mobile settings (iOS)
connection to the calendar is not up to date
not easy to update the proposed timing with existing session

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

easy to set up sessions with users
easy search to find the user catalog and look for prospects

**Official Response from Marie-Gil Vachon:**

> Jung-Chen, thank you for sharing your Braindate experience at SaaStr Europa. It was such a charm to host you at the Braindate Lounge! You contributed to a great share of knowledge sharing and greatness. Our product team is attentive to all reviews on G2 so your feature feedback is heard. Until next year, we'll only get better. Can't wait to host you again, your energy onsite was real!

  ### 21. Hard to find relevant people

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

People were there, you can read their profiles and message them.
Honestly, I did not like the experience with the app, so it's hard to find what I specifically liked about it.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

You can't sort people. Y industry yoh are interested in ( ie CEO, CTO, VC), in order to meet someone you need to create topic and it's not intuitive what to do with this topics. It did not synchronise with the event calendar. If I am at talk, I can't attend the meeting. It was hard to navigate.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It aims to solve a problem of meeting people at the event where there are too many people, but it's impossible to find people in the app. I can see only people who are online, it did not sync with the conference agenda.

**Official Response from Marie-Gil Vachon:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We need it and and we're listening! I'm sorry your Braindate experience at SaaStr Europa wasn't on part with all your expectations. Indeed, Braindate doesn't provide you with a full list of attendees, you have to refer to the event app attendee directory to chat with the full attendance. On Braindate, it all starts with a topic or an interest to connect people more intentionally (not that we don't like a good old DM but it can quickly turn into spam). This year, we had half of the audience engaging in Braindate which is a great representation to tap into the collective knowledge around you. Year over year, we aimed to increase our overall participation. Hopefully, you'll give us a second chance and we get greater participation next year :)

I hear your wish to be able to filter people by attendee categories. I'm happy to share that it's in our product roadmap! This way, if you're looking to connect with investors or SaaS leaders you will be able to easy sort the market to find them by attendee groups. Quick search tip : you can also type in a title "CEO" in the search to find similar decision makers and business leaders to navigate the crowd more easily. As per our calendar sync capabilities, there was a 2 way sync in place so that your braindate meetings would be push into your event app personal agenda. Conversely, in the Braindate time picker, you were able to see if you had bookmarked a keynote session but it wouldn't block you from receiving invitations at that time. This allows you to have more flexibility in choosing which sessions are most valuable to you instead of an automated blocker which would limit your opportunities to choose from.

  ### 22. Braindate allowed me to gain new perspectives

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Junie B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

I liked the concept at Startupfest. It allowed me to create my own "event" to meet people and share insights. It gave me an opportunity to be a thought leader.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

The app. I didn't find it user friendly. It also lacked engagement and interaction with people who signed up to your braindate.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wouldn't say a problem. It allowed me to be a thought leader and share insights into what I do as a business owner.

  ### 23. Good concept and helps networking during events

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ayush S. | Head of Sales - India, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

Helps in networking during events
Access to Linkedin profiles of participants
Good knowledge sharing in some instances
Easy interface to use
Both App and browser access

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

The mobile app can be improved. The scrolling of brain dates and participants, and then when you are looking at a braindata, if you wish to go back, it scrolls you back up to the top so then you have to scroll down again

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is the first time I used this software duing an event. I think a) it helps in sharing your knowledge especially for folks who aren't speakers at the event, b) Good way to network

  ### 24. Braindates - An Engagement & Key Metric Powerhouse!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diane M. R. | SDSquared Network Tutor , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

As a meeting planner and a conference attendee I know most folks attend industry events with high expections to learn stuff, meet people and have fun. Braindates hits all three while providing a waterfall of engagement key metrics in the process.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

While it's not within Braindates control, for a number of organizations the attendee demographics might not adapt before they go, taking the "I'll see it onsite and experience Braindates at the conference." This can lead to a low adoption rate on paper, and causing organizational stakeholders to only focus on the number of meetings/"I" in "ROI. I would encourage organizations new to Braindates to also evaluate their event through several non-financial year-over-year engagement and feedback metrics/KPIs, including segmenting and surveying Braindate/non-Braindates participants (attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, first-timers, etc.) for NPS scores and in other areas of returning revenue.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an attendee, I first experienced Braindates approx. 10 years ago during an annual PCMA CL - a conference for conference organizers. I was immediately hooked on Braindates by cutting through the small talk and having targeted and thoughtful conversations around shared pain points, problem solving, expertise or experiences. All while connecting with new (& brilliant) people. Eventually, I prioritized Braindate meetings in my conference schedule and then filled in open spots with the traditional general education and networking sessions. In my case, I always felt Braindates meetings met or exceeded my professional or personal ROI for attending an-person conference.

As a meeting planner for 20+ years, I've also experienced Braindates from the in-person annual conference logistics side for approx. 1000 attendees. I also know how hard it is to entice past attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and companies to return as well as attract new ones to attend. Traditionally, the event transactional data is evaluated and measured against the organization's strategic goals, ex. key performance metrics (KPIs) or Return on Investment (ROI). Not only has Braindates created that sweet spot between learning and connection where attendees can engage and learn from one another in a fun and intersting way, their platform is rich with valuable key metric engagement data for reporting to key stakeholders. Overall, as a vendor the Braindates staff is a dream to work with they walk you through the process and keep you on schedule, especially during the last 60 - 90 days before your event.

  ### 27. What I Like About Braindate

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isabella J. | Founder, CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

Good morning Claire and Brudis. Feel free to make any edits you think are appropriate to the recommendation.

I first used BrainDate when attending the SaaStr conference in September 2022. It was easy to use and connect with people at the event for 1-1 meetings and thought group events. I scheduled two thought groups, combined with the people attending post-group events, and picked up new customers. Cha-Ching. That is what everyone wants when attending conferences!

The second time I used the app is in NY at the Ascent Conference. Again, easy to use and met a potential lead investor. Super happy with how easy the app is to connect with others during and post-event.

I recommend companies that host events use this provider for their upcoming events.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

No complaints so far. have to add extra words to reach minimum requirement.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Another cool product they provide is Braindate Everyday which is used to build communities and create engagement. I am super interested in pairing this with my Employer 4 Change platform and E4C Academy. If you want to know how this product can help your company or organization reach out to the team
Brudis, Shant, Claire or Max.

  ### 28. Braindate makes it easier to meet colleagues at conferences, which would otherwise be challenging.

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

Easy to set up discussions with colleagues.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

Sometimes hard to communicate last-minute changes.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enables to have discussions with colleagues at larger conferences.

  ### 29. First experience with Braindate

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert O. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

I enjoyed how easy it was to use the Braindate interface and how efficient the process was. Was great to have the ability to connect with people on topics that were of particular interest to me. Also really appreciated the seamless integration with the event's app.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

Not much! I enjoyed the entire experience

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connecting people at events who share similar interests. Lining up meetings and calendars. Allowing people to connect on topics/issues in an efficient way

  ### 30. Braindate is the perfect platform for interactive, authentic conversations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley C. | Development Officer, Events, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

I loved the smaller 8-person groups as well as the 20-person fishbowls where "watchers" could switch with the speakers to join the discussion on camera. Both formats felt intimate (especially compared to large view-only webinars) and allowed for interactive discussions.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

I wish that the sessions were listed in chronological order, since many people wanted to look for sessions in specific timeslots that worked with their schedules.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used Braindate for an event that was specific to conversations around mental health, and it lent itself very well to create safe, intimate spaces for these sensitive discussions. Braindate allows everyone to be a "participant" rather than just an "attendee", which made all the difference to get people to open up and engage in the topics, which was exactly what we wanted. We don't believe we would have had the same impact and engagement with any other platform.

  ### 31. Braindate at Podcast Movement Denver

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

I enjoyed getting to know other podcasters in a more intimate, personal setting.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

I suppose it would be ideal to be in a private room vs out in the open with all the other sessions because it made it hard to hear at times.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives the potential to meet and network with people directly instead of just sitting in a session. More collaborative efforts too.

  ### 32. Non believer to believer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caleb C. | Director Of Business Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

Watching from a distance and never having participated, my first thought, this seems forced and dumb. Then I experienced one and immediately realized how ridiculous I was being. What a fantastic experience for any conference event. Very engaging, efficient and insightful conversations!

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

Can't think of anything. Everything worked well!

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Escaping small talk and networking inefficiency at big conferences.

  ### 33. Serendipitous encounters, at scale!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian P. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

The fact that conversations are topic-driven, not title, industry or company.

I attend events of all sizes, and the biggest struggle is always the same: how do I meet the right people?
Braindate makes it easy to connect with those that will make your event worth your time and money.

Connecting on a topic you want to discuss allows you to meet with people you would have never met otherwise; I like to call it engineered serendipity!

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

Some event organizers choose not to integrate Braindate with your event calendar, resulting in some no shows when people have to juggle between two calendars. It's not really Braindate's fault though.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You meet the right people, at the right time, based on what you need to learn/accomplish.

When I attend an event, I get ready by listing the challenges I have with my business so I can find the right learning opportunities while at the event. I've found that most of my learning came from my braindate conversations.

  ### 34. A Platform for Meaningful Networking and Knowledge Exchange

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

It offers networking opportunities and fosters knowledge exchange with like-minded professionals. The user-friendly interface and customizable experience make it easy to connect and engage in relevant discussions. The diverse perspectives brought together on the platform add depth to the conversations.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

From what I've gathered, one minor downside reported by users is the occasional lack of available suggestions for braindates. It seems that some individuals have encountered situations where they couldn't find suitable or relevant options during their search.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped me to find right people and to expland my network at a coference

  ### 35. Great tool for events

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johanne P. | Director, Public Engagement (Communications), Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

Constructive and easy opportunities to meet people with similar interests, and or to learn from others.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

Can't really think of a downside for this product.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to make interesting connections at a large event.

  ### 36. Braindate adds so much value to the typical business event/conference

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

I'll admit that I was skeptical of Braindate when I saw it implemented at other events and conferences - although it's always been popular whenever I've seen it. My favorite part about is that as an introvert, it provides a great setting to meet folks at an event. I love the size of the group discussions. I love the topics that the roundtables are centered around, and

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

No real complaints from my side. I've had nothing but very positive experiences with it. There are always no-shows, and sometimes it can be hard to join a popular brain date, but overall I've really liked it.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sometimes going to a conference can be challenging and overwhelming. You want to network and make connections, but you don't necessarily just want to be walking the conference halls handing out business cards. Braindate allows you to meet folks in a setting and environment that's friendly, engaging and typically aligned around a topic that you are interested in.

  ### 37. Most useful part of the event

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renjith V. | Data Architect / Data Engineering Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

Had a chance to interact with many other participants and share ideas. Attended both one to one and group braindates.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

Some participants didn't turnup after scheduling.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Systematic way to schedule meetings and interact with other participants. Deciding on topic to talk about before the meeting.

**Official Response from Marie-Gil Vachon:**

> Thank you Renjith for taking the time to share your Braindate experience at SaaStr Europa. It was a real pleasure to host you at the Braindate Lounge. Your generous contribution was appreciated by all! See you next year :)

  ### 38. Human connections

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

Braindate reminds us of the importance of learning from others.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

Instead of having to scan a QR code, there could be an easier/frictionless way to connect digital after a braindate, ensuring that users stay in contact.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Braindate is making networking easy by removing that first phase of approaching a person in a crowd, which can be stressful for some.

  ### 39. Not natively integrated in SaaStr App

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert A. | Angel Investor & Growth Advisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

The idea of having different group sizes to upfront defined topics is great.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

very salesy topics.
Not natively integrated in SaaStr App
bad chat function

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

meeting people in a more targeted way.

  ### 40. Braindate Changed My Life!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joelle P. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

Seriously. At C2 MTL, I used my Braindate convos as a sounding board for my new business idea. One of my dates invited me into a global network of extraordinary leaders hatching a better world. My new connections gave me the fuel I needed to launch this project into a business that inspires people to matter – to themselves, to others and to the world. The result: Two Steps Out is now live and realizing its mission!

Gratitude to Braindate for sparking this meaningful growth.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

No-shows - meaning, when my scheduled date doesn't show up.
It has nothing to do with the Braindate crew, but they have always been highly empathetic and took the time to chat with me while I'm waiting.
They even offered me some goodies to make up for my disappointment. You can see the Braindate people care truly.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I seek to connect deeply with smart and interesting people. I believe a long conversation with several people has way more impact than shaking hands and exchanging business cards (which I don't carry anymore). Braindate conversations allow me to connect at a deeper level with potential allies, clients, inspirers, and those who will appreciate the richness of the insights I have to share. Basically, Braindate gives me the space-time I need to have meaningful conversations to evolve in so many ways, personally and business wise.

  ### 41. This is like.... the best platform EVER for learning and networking at Events.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erik A. | Business Advisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

Everything... It was my first time using Braindate and I didn't know a single person at the 10,000 attendee SaaStr 2022 event prior to going. Ahead of my trip, i scheduled about 10 1:1 meetings and got a ton of interest in Braindates I posted. My boss was happy I connected with so many potential clients, I looked great.. and most of all I made the connections I wanted to have. It was brilliant.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

I would have liked an easier way to search for other people at the event... To search for job type, company type, etc.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My pain point is meeting the right people and getting our name recognition out there to small and medium sized SaaS companies looking to expand sales revenue in Asia. I can capture a LOT of interest on a braindate platform at most software events. Its amazing for me personally and professionally.

  ### 42. StartupFest

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

That individuals can post topics to talk about, group dates are great too

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

Clunky app, UX is pretty poor. Pressing the back button a bunch to get back to the main menu of dates is annoying.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Putting framework around meetings, meeting folks I wouldn't run into otherwise.

  ### 43. Simple and easy to use.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

It is super simple and easy to use. I really liked the notification reminders as well.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

I don't have anything at all that I dislike about it.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provided a quick and easy way to connect at a conference and establish a time and place to meet.

  ### 44. Takes care of the hard part of networking!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Afra N. | Chief Operating Officer & Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

Braindate is one of my new favorite ways of networking! I first came across braindate at the SaaStr conference, and it made it ridiculously easy to have both meaningful connections AND conversations, through a facilitated networking platform.

It takes care of the "randomness" of networking and helps pair people with like-minded goals, or conversations. Would love to see this at every conference!!

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

The only least helpful part i can think of was probably the crowd to get through when attending a braindate session. It was definitely organized, but it took some time to get seated!

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I get anxious when I know I have to network with people randomly. As an introverted entrepreneur, I end up in this situation quite often. Braindate takes care of "finding" or "bumping" into people to talk to.

  ### 45. Networking during SaaStr Europa

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

An efficient platform to book networking

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

Separate login from SaaStr, which is a bit unwieldy

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easily book meetings with people

  ### 46. A super valuable solution for effective networking and education

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

I loved how I could schedule meetings ahead of time with specific topics, as it set expectations for both attendees. I also loved the ability to host my own group braindates and share my knowledge with others

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

Sometimes it was hard to check in online but I think it was the venue internet issue more. Maybe some optimization of the UX to be make it even smoother but overall loved it.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time is your most valuable resource. While you can never make sure that every connection is meaningful, it is very hard when you go to an event to optimize yourself and make relevant connections. Braindate makes that possible and enhances tremendously the value of any event you attend.

  ### 47. Enhancing your event's networking options -- regardless of the event format.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rodney H. | Vice President, Events, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

Braindate is an incredible tool to enable your onsite, virtual, or hybrid networking. If you know events, you know that networking is always one of the top reasons attendees invest their time and money in attending your event. Braindate facilitates that process for them before & during your event, allowing them to join or create their own networking opportunities. It is an invaluable tool for attendees to maximize their value at your event, but it also provides event organizers with a way to capture customer-driven topic interests. It also seamlessly integrated with our registration platform enabling one seamless experience for our conference attendees. I highly recommend incorporating Braindate at your next event.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

The only thing I would like to see is a better ability to customize fonts and styles to be more aligned with the event branding, specifically things like platform fonts.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Networking is often one of the primary reasons attendees want to invest their time and money at an event, but that doesn't mean that everyone has an easy time networking. Braindate offers tools to make networking onsite or virtually less daunting for your attendees.

  ### 48. Interesting and fun

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

I enjoyed speaking with peers who are in the same position but at different startup stages and hear their point of views.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

One of the braindates I went to felt that it wasn't very well structured and wasn't What I was expecting.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Talk with peers that share a common interest

  ### 49. Relevant & Noteworthy Human to Human Connections

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maxine C. | CEO & Cofounder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

Braindate allows you to meet, greet, connect and learn from relevant people 1:1 and 1:many in real time. It unlocks connections, conversations and community all in one.

Events will never be the same without a place to brain date.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

There is nothing I dislike about Braindate. Maybe just the fact that I cannot do it every day and make it part of my routine. But other than that, it unlocks so much value for so many!

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Braindate is solving the problem of meeting, greeting and connecting with people at conferences. Before Braindate you would only connect with people randomly, and now with Braindate you can do it intentionally, purposefully and with power.

  ### 50. Braindate changed the conference game, for the BETTER

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Guy S. | Cofounder/CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Braindate?**

I recently attended the Workhuman Live conference. It was packed with inspiring and actionable content. This was my first experience with Braindate. Networking and making new connections at conferences has historically been hard. With Braindate, it is easy and SO MUCH more effective. You post topics and invite others to talk with you. Everyone OPTS IN to having meaninful professional conversations. The whole experience eliminates the grossness of trying to make business connections at a professional conference. I don't ever want to go to another conference that doesn't have this attendee service. It easily doubled (probably much more) the value I got from attending Workhuman Live.

**What do you dislike about Braindate?**

Nearly everything was great, especially the Braindate people who are the best. I think it's challenging to have a smooth experience from an embedded web app that is shoved inside the main conference app. So I would recommend Braindate keep working to make the integration as smooth as possible on the app.

**What problems is Braindate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Networking and making connections at conferences. There is no better way to do it. I loved the group Braindates because you get a conversation with more perspectives and meet a lot of people in a short period of time.
