"St. Ed's - BoxCast"
4.5/5
What do you like best about BoxCast?

We began live streaming additional events out of necessity. Now our community has grown to really enjoy them. They have been a way to reach additional populations within our community and a vital tool to connect our alums, families and friends to St. Ed's. BoxCast has made the process as smooth as possible, with a variety of options available. Their flexibility and responsiveness is truly appreciated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BoxCast?

We are occasionally limited by the venue's internet source. Some are better than others, and I realize that this is not an issue on BoxCast end... but it is the one drawback to some of our live streams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Customer service"
5/5
What do you like best about BoxCast?

We have been a customer of BoxCast since they purchased Sunday Streams. The transition was seamless and the service we have received has been exemplary. We had several opportunities to explore additional features for our stream and the willingness of the BoCast staff to work with us as we went through trials of upgrades was beyond our expectations. When we chose not to take advantage of some upgrades we were not pressured to take them on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BoxCast?

Nothing. The product is easy to use with a very quick learning curve. Valuable when dealing with volunteers with no technical background. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Boxcast for HS"
5/5
What do you like best about BoxCast?

Boxcast has a simple layout making it easy for teachers or students to update streams, check analytics, etc. It is easy to update from any computer or mobile device. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BoxCast?

Only being able to run two streams at the same time with the lower subscription tiers. Being a high school, we often have a limited budget so the demand for access to all sports being streamed is an issue when we have to pick and choose who makes the cut on any given night especially in the spring when there could be 3-4 games all happening at the same time. "Functional and reliable system but presents on the user end as outdated"
3.5/5
What do you like best about BoxCast?

That it is its own system with an encoder and software for all the controls included in one package. We LOVE the automation, pre-scheduling and ability to edit the broadcast in real-time and app feature. Also, it is highly reliable. We haven't had many issues with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BoxCast?

The user-end of the stream is outdated and presents poorly to our audience. The "content" area below the video has outdated text font and appears outdated. We don't like that we can't change much about how that area presents. Also, we embed the channel to our website so the "related videos" portion presents poorly to our audience as well. What we really want is visually appealing, updated code that we can embed in our website so the live stream looks excellent. That we can have a dynamic giving button, that the text font and placement we could manipulate as needed. Also, we would love a user-friendly button that a user can click to access the notes. Our pretty please request would be to be able to embed or partner with an online note-taking system digitally. In addition, we would like to have code to embed on our homepage so when there is a live video the banner would say "Watch Now Live". The last thing we don't like is our Pro system is VERY noisy. It is in an open space so is ventilated correctly. The fan is loud enough to be heard from the front of our worship center from its location in the back in the tech booth. What do you like best about BoxCast?

We can schedule up to a year's worth of upcoming services. It's easy to use. It's easy to edit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BoxCast?

It could be useful for our volunteers who run the computer if something popped up when our service ends as a reminder to turn the Livestream off at that time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use with great support"
5/5
What do you like best about BoxCast?

Boxcast support is very responsive and is great to work with if issues arise. My account manager is always willing to talk through our live stream strategy and workflow to help us get the best for our viewers. The video quality is great and automating the start of the stream make my job easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When using Boxcast, there is no software solution that takes advantage of their Boxcast Flow protocols. So you are limited to using their hardware to use Boxcast Flow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
