Clients are able to access shared folders or files without having a Box account or having to sign in. I wish Drive allowed this. **What do you dislike about Box?** It doesn't integrate well with other programs or apps. As Cloud Storage it's excellent but as a productive tool, it's not quite there. It doesn't integrate as smoothly as Drive would. Right from the synced folder, I can create a Share Link and send it to a client. They'll have access to the folder for at least six months before access expires. ### 4. I no longer have to rely on remote connections or VPNs to my office network. It works well for our office for effective communication when sending and receiving documents from our clients. I am not certain about comparisons to other products as I have been a box used for several years now. They offer the most features and abilities for a competitive price. Hopefully, it remains this way. I have recommended it to a lot of my clients for personal storage as well. **What do you dislike about Box?** I use Adobe Acrobat for e-signatures. Box released its e-Signature capture feature I was super excited about. They have been improving it over time, but for now, I feel that Acrobat Sign has more features I am used to at this time. I do currently use it internally for signatures. **What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?** They created a workspace environment where I can get feedback/comments on documents and opinions from other co-workers without having to email a document back and forth. I can securely send documents to co-workers and clients outside using links/passwords to the same document. It also tracks versions and due to the link sharing vs emailing a document, there is no confusion about which version of a document we are viewing. ### 6. This allows us to have a storage place to put it and also share exterenally. As a company account, I am also able to access files that aren't shared directly with me with the search bar. What I like best about box is its version history. If I accidentally upload a new version of a file, I can easily backtrack to an older version. **What do you dislike about Box?** While the version history is useful, it's not useful when I don't know the difference between versions especially if I edited the item through box's internal microsoft programs. As box also live saves each update, each one small change will be a new version even if they're only a few minutes apart and you never closed the file. **What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?** Box is help solving a storage issue. I can access files across different computers without a fear of losing it if I need to clear my computer memory. It's also at a much better price point than most competitors. The best feature is the volume of storage you get—its unrivalled. **What do you dislike about Box?** There are three key things that we strongly dislike. ONE. The interface is simple and made to work with your operating system seamlessly. The biggest challenge is setup. There seems to be no place to set up what volumes you'd like to back up. Yet somehow, things magically back up. It isn't very clear how it works. There seems to be no documentation or tutorial around setting up specific backup folders. TWO. Status updates. We have TBs of data stored with Box. We don't know when files are backing up. Box Drive is engineered to sync data instantly, but it doesn't. Eventually, things do back up but leave us wondering how much we can trust that our files are current. THREE. Price. Yes, the price is reasonable, but you need to buy a minimum of 3 accounts. Why should I sit on two unused accounts for my small business? **Recommendations to others considering Box:** Thoroughly and aggressively test the trial. Box has failed to meet all of their promises. Applications don't work, system won't sync. That is the system's most important job, if not its sole purpose for existence. **What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?** We chose Box as a backup and Cloud solution for our design business. The fact that you can browse files straight from your OS like a file folder is brilliant—although similar to other services now. What is really special is the ability to edit Photoshop PSDs without downloading them. Not that's special. ### 49.
