"Organized File Management for Daily Work"
What do you like best about Box?

I use Box in my project to manage and share client-related documents like API specifications, integration documents, test reports, and release files. In my day-to-day work, I organize files into folders based on modules or releases so that it’s easier to track changes over time.

A common scenario is during client discussions instead of searching through emails, I directly open the required document from Box and share the link. I also use permission settings to control access when sharing with different teams or external users. Version history is useful as well, especially when multiple updates are made to the same document. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Box?

Uploading large files sometimes takes more time than expected, especially when multiple files are uploaded together. Also, when there are many nested folders, it can take a few extra steps to navigate to the exact file. Managing permissions across multiple folders requires attention to avoid giving incorrect access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple and Reliable File Storage for Daily Work"
What do you like best about Box?

that it makes easy file sharing and collaboration across the team, web interface is clean, the drag and drop upload save lot of time when handling multiple docs. Version history is helpful because you can quick go back to older file without worry about losing work. It works well across devices, so accessing files on the go is simple Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Box?

the sync client can be bit slow - gets stuck when handling large folder. Sometimes it take longer than expected for file to update across device which interrupt the workflow.

interface is good, but a few settings feel buried, so you spend time finding right option. Previewing doesn’t always work smoothly, and downloading bigger files lag. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Collaboration and Robust Security in One"
What do you like best about Box?

I use Box primarily for securely storing and sharing SQL scripts, data reports, and large Excel datasets, and it acts as a central hub for collaborating with my team on various data projects. What I like most is the seamless integration with other tools and the drag functionality which makes uploading large datasets very fast. Also, the advanced search feature helps me find specific data files instantly, saving me a lot of time. The seamless integration is vital because I can open and edit my Excel files or data sheets directly within Box using Microsoft 365. The advanced search is a lifesaver when I'm looking for a specific SQL query inside hundreds of folders. It indexes the content, not just the file names, which makes my workflow much more efficient. The initial setup was incredibly straightforward and fast. The Box Drive feature allowed us to integrate the cloud folders directly into our local file explorers, so the team didn't need any special training, and we were able to migrate our existing data and set up user permissions within just a couple of hours. My team switched from Google Drive to Box because it offers much better enterprise-grade security and more advanced administrative controls. For our data projects, Box's ability to manage permissions and external collaboration feels more professional and secure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Box?

The main area for improvement is the pricing structure, as it can be quite expensive for individual freelancers or small startups. Additionally, the free version has a limited storage capacity compared to competitors, and the file size limit for uploads on the basic plan can sometimes be a hurdle when dealing with very large database backups. "Transforms Media Management with Robust Features"
What do you like best about Box?

I like how Box reliably handles large media files that are central to our broadcast work without constant upload failures or slow performance. Its secure permission controls stand out, allowing us to safely share sensitive production materials with external partners while restricting access as needed. The platform's consistent sync and strong version control keep our team aligned, even when working remotely across different departments. It removes friction from collaboration and lets us focus on production rather than file management issues. Additionally, the initial setup of Box was straightforward and relatively easy, with clear, step-by-step guidance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Box?

Upload speeds for extremely large high-resolution video files can still be slower than ideal, especially during peak production periods. Even with stable internet, processing big raw footage files occasionally takes longer than expected, which can delay editing and post-production timelines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Security and Collaboration Centralized for Libraries"
What do you like best about Box?

What I appreciate most about Box is its strong security and precise permission management, which is extremely important for our library in Germany. We store a large number of rare digital archives, reader information, and internal administrative documents, and Box allows us to set different access rights for different staff and external partners to ensure the safety of precious materials and personal data. In addition, its stable cloud storage and convenient file sharing functions are very practical. We no longer need to transmit large scanned files and collection materials via email, and team members can access the latest files remotely. The version tracking function also avoids confusion caused by repeated modifications of documents. The system is simple to operate and easy for all team members to get started. It centralizes all kinds of library documents, making file management more standardized and efficient, and strongly supports our daily work and archive preservation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Box?

While Box serves our library’s core needs well, there are a few areas that feel less ideal for our daily work in Germany. The interface for organizing large batches of digitized archival materials can feel rigid. We often manage thousands of scanned historical documents, images, and media files, and the platform lacks flexible bulk tagging and advanced filtering options, making it slower to sort and retrieve special-collection items. File preview for high-resolution scans and rare-format documents sometimes loads slowly or doesn’t display correctly on lower-bandwidth connections, which is inconvenient when staff work remotely or from branch libraries. "Secure Cloud Storage with Seamless Collaboration for Facility Management"
What do you like best about Box?

I appreciate how well Box fits our daily facility management work in Germany. Its permission control is very precise, allowing us to set different access rights for internal teams, on-site maintenance staff, and external vendors, ensuring the security of building drawings, maintenance records, and contract documents. The file storage and sharing function is stable and efficient. Field personnel can view the latest data in real-time through mobile devices, greatly improving the speed of information synchronization. Box's cloud storage is reliable with good version management, so we don't lose important files or use wrong versions due to repeated modifications. The simple interface and easy operation also let the whole team get started quickly, effectively improving the efficiency of daily work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Box?

The mobile interface can feel slow when accessing large technical drawings and inspection reports on-site, which is frustrating for field staff with limited network speed. File organization for high-volume maintenance records and project documents could be more flexible; the folder structure lacks some advanced tagging and quick-filtering features that would help us locate compliance files faster. Occasionally, syncing between desktop and mobile is delayed, leading to brief confusion over whether team members have the latest document version. Some of the collaboration tools also feel overly formal for quick internal updates, and integration with certain on-site maintenance tools we use isn’t as smooth as we’d like. "Robust Collaboration with Security, Slightly Pricey"
What do you like best about Box?

I like how Box balances security and ease of collaboration. It feels tightly controlled for sensitive files with strong permissions, audit trails, and compliance features, while still enabling teams to share and co-work smoothly both inside and outside the organization. The granular permissions and security allow very specific access levels, which is great for regulated industries or companies handling confidential data. I appreciate the clean collaboration features like versioning, comments, and shared folders which make it easy to track changes and keep discussions organized. The strong integrations ecosystem is another plus, as Box works well with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and hundreds of other apps, allowing me to keep documents in Box while using my favorite productivity tools. I also find the initial setup of Box super handy and friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Box?

Everything is superb except you can slow down the prices Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Box’s Standout Security for Protecting Sensitive Files"
What do you like best about Box?

The security features are what stand out the most to me. I also use services like Dropbox and iCloud Drive, but Box feels much more focused on protecting sensitive files. When working with important documents or research data, that extra level of security is really reassuring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Box?

Because the platform prioritizes security, some actions require additional steps. For new users, this can make the system feel a bit complicated at first. It usually takes a little time to get familiar with the workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure Collaboration, Needs UI Update"
What do you like best about Box?

I like Box's strong enterprise-grade security and reliable permission control, which is critical for handling confidential business and client files. The ability to set granular access rights, password-protected shared links, link expiry, view-only permissions, and download restrictions makes our external collaboration extremely safe. I also really appreciate the stable file version history and seamless preview function. We never lose previous versions of documents, and we can open almost any file type directly in the browser without downloading or extra software—this saves a huge amount of time in our daily workflows. The initial setup of Box was straightforward and relatively easy compared to other enterprise content management tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Box?

First, the user interface can feel dated and less intuitive compared to newer cloud tools. Some common actions — like moving folders, bulk organizing files, or customizing workflows — take more clicks than they should, which slows down daily work for team members who only use Box occasionally. "Fast, Reliable File Sharing for Work and Students"
What do you like best about Box?

I can upload a wide variety of files for work and for my students, and I have them submit everything through Box. It also handles very large images and other files well, with fast loading when I upload and access them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Box?

I wish I could change folder colors, or at least have more options for aesthetically organizing things. It would also be great to have some kind of workflow feature—maybe tasks where you can assign people to upload specific items. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
