I like that the software is constantly making changes to update and become batter. Especially in these daring times, it's important to be flexible and make the necessary changes to accommodate our clients. Since most of our marketing is done through Instagram, the ability to have the clients book their first appointment with ease is a huge benefit to us. We always had issues when a lot of traffic came through and we would either not be at the office and miss phone calls or could not catch up with the email inquiries quick enough. I love how Boulevard is customizable for any client, service, or provider. The reports are detailed, they allow you to customize permissions for different classes of employees, which is very helpful to preserve privacy, and it is extremely user-friendly. It can be challenging for new users at first because there are so many options, but after a day or two, it's easy to pick up. Convenience, simplicity, ease for guests to schedule online, easy to train and I love the new training videos that are provided. The fact there is a "help chat" that ANY employee can use to reachout about BLVD questiosn is so so so amazing. We used to always have outages with our old system and that has no happened once with BLVD. Its amazing to know that I can view the schedule from anywhere AND that the system is reliable. Further more I believe the online booking (which is now available via instagram) has helped us get so many new younger guests in our salon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Boulevard? I hate that the business charge is unable to be a specific % instead of a dollar amount. The way we do our commission pay out is: Guest pays $200.00, 10% comes off the top for our business charge and then we do the service provider comission split. I had to create a xcel document to input all of the subtotal service amounts for each employee into every time I do payroll to figure out with their commission pay out is. I also wish there was a way to run a report that showed the total of all employee hours combined so that I can easily double check that my payroll control totals are correct. BLVD has been working with one of the Co-Owners of the salon to better understand our daily reporting and card transaction fee's not matching. They have done a lot to help him reconcile. I havent heard him speak on it in a while so I think it might be solved? They definently have gone above and beyond to make sure we felt heard. We have had zoom meetings, phone confrences and emails back and forth to solve this issue. It is nice to know they care. BLVD is also helping us with a guest that disputed a charge on false claims. I was able to submit evidence and had BLVD check in with me several times to update on how the process is going. This is huge for a small business, I truly feel like we have a team of people on our side to back us up when we need it. Instead of just some platform that hosts our booking needs. It was created for these modern times, which makes life easier when quickly multi-tasking. Also , It looks pretty. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Boulevard? This is a brand new software, and the user can tell. There are a lot of small details all over the place that need to be addressed. First off, the android app is horrible. The basic function of touch is not responsive more than half the time. The ability to easily see what time an appointment finishes while using the app is very difficult due to the lack of zooming in and out. The user has to basically guess where the appointment ends. When using the app to book appointments, the user does not have ability to input a credit card. The user also does not get a booking alert for the client when using the app. The app issues do not make it possible for a manager/owner to work from the phone away from the desk. The checkout on the iPad does not give the client the entire total of their service +product+ tax+tip. This has led to mistakes being made after we had already run the credit card. The reports, as far as financial reporting goes not explain the math. Not even Boulevard team members can figure out the math on the reports. I love how user friendly it is, and the virtual training offered is awesome. I really like the app and the fact that there is rarely any time that the software crashes. Needs a client portal to view upcoming appts --\> we were told that this was being worked on when we signed up and are still waiting - it's the main complaint we get from clients in comparison to our last booking system (STX). Only another aspect is not being able to apply a tiered level system to quickly increase people based on our price scale when they get a promotion (right now, we have to increase each individual service which is time-consuming and prone to human error). Would also love to have the color of the appt change when they are checked in for a visual cue that is larger and more noticeable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. The back-end experience and reporting are horrible. Most reports are inaccurate and need to be requested from the engineers. This process takes 1-2 weeks and sometimes we still don't get the info. There are too many steps to booking a client and off-book on both the desktop and mobile versions. I should be able to click and drag on the stylist and time and not have to additionally choose the stylist and time. Checking out can also be a bit confusing too. The app does not automatically update and I will see appointments on my schedule that have been canceled because I haven't refreshed. You can book a stylist at a time their schedule isn't open without a warning or confirmation. It definitely feels not fully fleshed out and developed like we are testing a beta version. From a client perspective, BLVD seamlessly integrates with the company's website. It is so easy to book appointments, and esthetically, it is lovely. Blvd's scheduling is also really easy to use. Data that is being input into the system can't always be put into a report from our end.
