The speed at which we could iterate and refine our chatbot is something we could never have achieved if we had built it from scratch, which we were trying before we found Botpress. **What do you dislike about Botpress?** Getting my head around the entire thing was a bit of a slog, but thats because it requires genuine reading of every single aspect of their documentation... you really need to red every single page to learn how to use it properly. While Botpress is incredibly powerful, some areas could be smoother. The lack of persistent user session management without additional backend work was an early hurdle, as we needed to ensure seamless continuity for users across devices. The formatting inconsistencies between the emulator and live web chat caused some unexpected UI challenges, and styling customisation required more effort than expected - I think their academy could do with some more detailed education videos or documents... with use cases and examples on how to do things, something that could be done with AI to build out how to's etc... beyond the general documentation... I am sure they are moving super fast, though, so I don't think this would be a problem down the line... The transition from Intents to AI Transitions was also a bit unclear at first, but once we made the switch, it worked well. Despite these minor frustrations, the overall experience has been overwhelmingly positive, and these are areas I expect will continue to improve. **What problems is Botpress solving and how is that benefiting you?** A whole new way to deliver online education ### 7. It's flexible in terms of how much code you want to add: you can keep it simple and have a really great flow without using a single line of code, or you can make it interact with your product APIs (for instance) introducing lines of code. Given that I don't code -I'm a product manager-, I used the AI-code assistant to write every piece of code I needed for complex tasks and integrations. Lastly, there are plenty of add-ons, such as Whatsapp integration, that reduces significantly the amount of time you need to launch a product. I'm really happy with the experience so far, and recommend it to anyone thinking of building their first chatbot! **What do you dislike about Botpress?** Even though documentation is good, I found sometimes is not up to date (example: Whatsapp). For people like me, non-code, reading documentation is a bit harder, and imagine if what your read is not the last version! Also, some parts of the doc is too general, not explaining in detail what things are. You can learn by doing, which is easy, but not always. I had some issues with the "autonomous nodes", which work great for the conversation but I feel need improvement for the detection of the "intentions" to continue the flow. Sometimes my bots are stuck in a loop of the conversation and don't progress to the following actions. The way you program your bot is by creating a visual workflow. People without an IT background can create easily a chatbot. For the most experience programmers the ability to interface with external apps and coding with node.js make it very easy to give value to your customers by delivering robust solutions. **What do you dislike about Botpress?** The botpress studio is sometimes very annoying because it gets unresponsive sometimes and have to reload it. Other times the log window gets in my way and I can't hide it. Code execution errors are very general, so is difficult to debug the code. I tried in my ipad and everything worked fine, but the emulator text field is hidden below the screen and can't write to interact with the chat. Also is very complicated to add a new card in an ipad. **What problems is Botpress solving and how is that benefiting you?** Young generations are used to messaging and they don't want to interact with other kind of support channels. Also they get annoyed with the old chatbots and want to interact with a human being to solve their doubts and help them finding library resources. Botpress has helped us to get close to this kind of students by bringing them a channel they're used to interact, but also bring them robust solutions that in the past we were unable to achieve. Instead of having to administrate many knowledge bases, we can connect botpress with our official channels to consume the information and force the chat to only answer based on them. With very detailed, often very similar different bits of information it its knowledge base, we have found it to be 72% accurate in answering prompts. This is the highest I've seen after trying several solutions. Their team is confident (and I trust them) that we can get this percentage much higher to where we want it. Understanding their system of nodes in cards is not difficult. Very user-friendly, especially for those with no AI experience. **What do you dislike about Botpress?** I have no complaints so far.
