**What do you like best about Botpress?**

What I like most about Botpress is its balance between visual bot building and advanced AI capabilities. It allows you to quickly create conversational AI agents while still providing the flexibility to customize workflows, integrate external APIs, and manage complex conversation logic. Intuitive visual workflow builder that makes chatbot development straightforward. Native support for LLM-powered conversations and AI agents. Easy integration with REST APIs, databases, and third-party services. Built-in tools for testing, debugging, and monitoring conversation flows. Flexible enough for both simple customer support bots and complex enterprise use cases. For me, the most valuable feature is the visual flow builder combined with AI nodes. It makes it easy to design, test, and refine conversations without having to write extensive backend logic, while still allowing deeper customization when needed. The biggest benefit is faster development. Botpress significantly reduces the time required to build, deploy, and maintain conversational AI applications, enabling rapid prototyping and easier iteration as business requirements evolve.

**What do you dislike about Botpress?**

The biggest drawback is workflow management at scale. As chatbot projects grow, keeping conversation flows organized and troubleshooting issues across numerous nodes becomes more challenging than I'd like. Managing large bots with many interconnected flows can become difficult without stronger organization and versioning tools. Response latency may increase when bots rely on multiple external APIs or LLM calls.

**What problems is Botpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Botpress solves the challenge of building, deploying, and managing AI-powered chatbots without having to create every conversational component from scratch. It provides a framework for designing workflows, integrating external systems, and leveraging large language models in a single platform. Speeds up the development of AI chatbots and virtual assistants. Automates customer support and repetitive user interactions. Simplifies integration with APIs, databases, and business systems. Provides visual tools to design, test, and maintain conversation flows. Reduces the amount of custom backend code needed for conversational AI. In my work, Botpress helps prototype and deploy conversational AI solutions much faster than building them from the ground up. Instead of focusing on conversation infrastructure, I can spend more time refining user experience, business logic, and integrations. The biggest benefit is increased development efficiency. Botpress shortens the time required to launch AI assistants, making it easier to iterate on features, automate routine conversations, and deliver scalable conversational experiences.

**What do you like best about Botpress?**

The UI is really easy to use and everything is understandable. Sometimes it’s a bit hard to find what I need, but the search bar is really helpful for that. My only real issue with the UI is the connections between nodes: sometimes when I remove connections, I can still see them, but after I refresh, everything I removed disappears.

Performance is good, and publishing is fast. Most of the time it takes around 30 seconds, so I’d say it’s solid. I don’t really use integrations; the only one I use is my Excel tables, and it works perfectly with my code.

On pricing, I think the package-deal pricing is fine, but it would be better if you got +$5 to your AI usage instead of staying at the default $5. The AI (Autonomus nodes) is good, but not perfect. For example, if I load product information with more than 10–15 products, sometimes the AI makes hallucinations.

I haven’t really used the customer support because I can find everything through the search bar, and almost all the cards have descriptions and videos. I needed almost 1 month the understand everything.

**What do you dislike about Botpress?**

Sometimes it’s hard to limit what the user can do in the chat, but maybe it’s my fault—I’m not really sure how to set those limits. For example, if I only have a single choice, I want to lock the message option because otherwise the bot goes back to the first node and starts the conversation again.

**What problems is Botpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’re trying to solve our “phone” problem: customers often call the shop, and now the bot can provide them with the key information they need, such as prices and the phone numbers for each department. This has made things better because only three people work in the shop, and we also handle truck unloading/loading, serving customers, and packaging goods for delivery. With all of that going on, sometimes nobody is able to pick up the main phone.

**What do you like best about Botpress?**

I use Botpress to make chatbots work on my Instagram page and other platforms. It's a great tool because it's easy to deploy chatbots with no hard work. I find Botpress easy to understand, make bots, and deploy them. It includes a guide, and in just one day, by clicking a few things, I was able to get a bot working. It's pretty easy to make bots once you understand it, and now, I can monetize my skills and make money, which I'm considering doing.

**What do you dislike about Botpress?**

Once I provided a script to Botpress and deployed the bot to my Instagram page, after deploying when I tested it with another account, it was not responding perfectly. You should improve the WhatsApp integration to deploy bots faster; many people need it, I guess.

**What problems is Botpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Botpress to create chatbots easily and deploy them without much effort. It's great because it saves me time and helps me monetize my skills. The guide makes the whole process straightforward, and I appreciate its simplicity.

**What do you like best about Botpress?**

I use Botpress to build a community platform for my village and have found its visual builder genuinely accessible. I appreciate the Execute Code cards and integrations, especially with Messenger or WhatsApp, as they allow me to build real in-production features for underserved users on low-data connections. Additionally, I find the Messenger and WhatsApp bundles to be cheaper, which helps workflows function efficiently on low data. The setup of Botpress was also very easy.

**What do you dislike about Botpress?**

Debugging can be tricky at times. Things like Find Records filters being sensitive to trailing spaces or case and figuring out which toggles need to be on (Download Media, for instance).

**What problems is Botpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Botpress's visual builder genuinely accessible, allowing me to build real production features. The Execute Code cards and integrations with Messenger and WhatsApp work well for users on low-data connections, and the platform is flexible for creating diverse solutions.

**What do you like best about Botpress?**

I like that Botpress is simple to use. It's easy to use regardless of whether I'm using a standard node or an autonomous node. Connecting the nodes is straightforward, and I can easily identify if there's a problem. The standard node is powerful for me as I use it a lot to integrate with other applications like Resend, Twilio, and WhatsApp API, and I also need to execute codes. The autonomous node helps in generating conversations on the chatbot. The initial setup of Botpress was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Botpress?**

I still fail to connect the workflows. Let's say I want to have a separate workflow for a quotation system and one for a price system to work together. It has been difficult to connect these flows as I created them separately.

**What problems is Botpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Botpress helps automate customer support, creating structured conversations that guide users to actions, and it's easy to use even when integrating with applications like Twilio and WhatsApp API.

**What do you like best about Botpress?**

Botpress makes it easy to build chatbots and integrate them into WordPress sites. Adding official sources for responses is straightforward, ensuring accurate and trustworthy communication. As a generative AI tool, it efficiently answers citizens’ questions about procedures, services, and regulations on transparency and access to information, using clear language for people without legal expertise.

The platform is fast in delivering responses and keeps conversations fluid. Updates are simple to manage, and the reporting tools are very useful to track interactions and monitor resource usage. I also appreciate how easy it is to find text and video tutorials that help quickly learn how to manage and administer Botpress.

**What do you dislike about Botpress?**

In the free plan, it is not possible to select custom date ranges when generating reports, which limits the ability to analyze specific periods. Another downside is that conversations cannot be exported in an open format, making it harder to integrate the data into visualization tools like Looker Studio. Having these features available would greatly improve flexibility and reporting capabilities.

**What problems is Botpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Botpress helps us provide clear and fast answers to citizens of Oaxaca about the requirements needed to complete a procedure or request a public service. It supports the right of access to public information by ensuring that every response comes from the official knowledge base, making the information trustworthy and accurate.

The most important benefit is that the platform allows us to offer this service 24/7, every day of the year. Later, by reviewing the interaction logs, we can understand the real needs of citizens and what they are looking for when visiting the state government portal. This has improved transparency, efficiency, and the overall quality of communication with the public.

**What do you like best about Botpress?**

I find that Botpress has been very useful for my thesis project, especially because it provided an effective framework for managing various needs both at the graph level and in settings. Using Botpress was much more effective than designing it directly from scratch. I also appreciate the Rug system which works well and was the foundation of my thesis.

**What do you dislike about Botpress?**

It becomes a bit complex to visualize everything and getting lost among the arrows happens in an instant. Graphically, when it starts to become a bit more complex, you lose a bit. You must rightly break the bot into mini bots inside that connect to the main one. Finally, it is a complex tool that requires some training due to the technical terms.

**What problems is Botpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Botpress helped me in managing and automating processes for my thesis, providing a framework to organize needs at the graph level and settings. It was more effective than building from scratch.

One downside of Botpress is the learning curve at the start. Some features are not very intuitive and it can take time to understand how variables and conditions work together. Debugging can also feel a bit trial and error especially when building more complex flows.

It offers strong integration support, with multiple ways to integrate that provide flexibility for users. It also provides a high level of customization, with a wide variety of options such as LLMs and APIs. On top of that, it’s budget-friendly.

The documentation could be more in-depth. Sometimes it’s hard to understand, and I find myself wishing certain parts were explained more clearly. there could be add flowchart and videos for easy to understand.

**What problems is Botpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides low-code infrastructure for chatbots. It offers high automation with customization. We previously used another platform for an AI chatbot, but we found it difficult to implement and integrate into our software. With Botpress, we can customize and fully automate the chatbot, and integrate it as per our use case, since it provides different types of integration methods.
