  ### 1. A lackluster attempt at creating custom chatbots

**What do you like best about Botmake.io?**

That the chatbots can be anyone, with user-inputted responses to any questions that you pre-determine the answers to. Some default responses will be automatically responded to by their API.

**What do you dislike about Botmake.io?**

The manual, brute-force nature of programming the chatbot's responses. The chatbots fail to respond to follow-up questions or questions that are more complex than single one-line commands. Additionally, all of their programmed responses are limited to 255 characters, which is extremely cumbersome from the developer end. There is not a single bot on Rebot could come close to passing the Turing Test. Additionally, most are not age-appropriate or well-programmed for that matter. From the programmer's side, there is a lot of room for improvement that could be made by using a generalized AI methodology adapted off of more popular bots such as Siri, Cortana, or Google Assistant.

**Recommendations to others considering Botmake.io:**

The AI can hardly be called intelligent, since it is not capable of self-reinforcing. There is a lot of room for growth in programming the bots. Admittedly, most chatbots in this arena can only rely on a dictionary list to give pre-programmed answers to pre-programmed queries. If you are OK with this and don't mind plugging in answers to different queries manually, this AI will do the job for you.. The ease of use is at least friendlier than other site chatbots.

**What problems is Botmake.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is primarily a recreational problem. It is interesting seeing the evolution of chatbots. As far as benefits, I've only realized this service is useful to kill time or create my own bot for others to kill time. I have not experienced any educational benefit while using this service.
