"NFG transformed our record-keeping and empowered strategic marketing."
5/5
What do you like best about Bonterra Network for Good?

I value maintaining precise donor records and having an integrated system for email communication, email tracking, and ticket sales. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bonterra Network for Good?

While the email tools and templates are very convenient, we seem to have a lot of trouble reaching all of our donors. It seems many email providers are getting better at weeding out mass emails, and we often get complaints from people who do not receive our emails, and sometimes they take it personally. "Bonterra provides the knowledge and expertise we were missing"
5/5
What do you like best about Bonterra Network for Good?

Not only did we need an easy-to-use donor management system, but we needed good tech support, excellent training on how to use the system, and a coach to teach us all we needed to know about fundraising, connecting with donors, and how to maximize our donations. Bonterra delivered all that and more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bonterra Network for Good?

I have not found any downsides to using Bonterra Guided Fundraising unless it is that we would love to have more hours with our fundraising coach. But really, the advice we get is so helpful that we have been able to succeed at our fundraising. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User Friendly For Your Whole Team"
5/5
What do you like best about Bonterra Network for Good?

I love its ease of use with the ability to collaborate on tasks and the variety of approaches it facilitates for fundraising. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bonterra Network for Good?

For our purposes, it works very well. On occasion, I have struggled to get it out to the right contacts and it would be nice if you could resend former emails with edits to allow for updates. I am sure this is already possible, but I seem to recall having a few issues around these areas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Still going strong"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Bonterra Network for Good?

The automated processing of ticket purchase, donations, and reply to customer is super valuable. In 17 years, I have progressed from doing it all by hand to using another ticketer, now NFG/Bonterra. Time saved is phenomenal on our three year history.

Even our reluctant patrons have attempted to purchase tickets online, but they grab the lifeline of phone-assistance when necessary. Talking to patrons helps me to know them better and makes them appreciative of the personal touch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bonterra Network for Good?

I seldom use the dedicated Support site, so I forget how to access it. I just noticed that it is on Help tab, so that is great.

Occasionally when I pull a list for an event, one or two paid participants are not included. I know my patrons and can easily look them up, but it is worrisome to have to wonder who might be missing and why. Patrons do not like to be slighted/inconvenienced. "Becoming Familiar with Bonterra Guided Fundraising/NFG"
4/5
What do you like best about Bonterra Network for Good?

Database is easy to maneuver. Customer Support is very helpful. Glad that there is an Event package. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bonterra Network for Good?

Business accounts should be set up just like Individual Household accounts. Frequently, employees register to attend events but the organization pays for the ticket. All employees should be listed under the one Business account.

Event registration should include mandatory completed fields, i.e. organization, title, email, phone. Registration attendance/name tags depend on this information to accurately print the information. For example, it would not look good to include titles on some nametags, but not all nametags.

The database should allow soft credits to be added to sponsorships. Sponsorships are generally secure via direct contact with a member of the organization, such as a board or staff member.

It would be helpful if acknowledgement letters could include fields that are not currently offered, such as Payment Description.

It would be helpful if we could select which address to use for acknowledgement letters. Sometimes, it would be a personal address, other times it may be a business address.

It would be helpful to have the ability to send out meeting notices - maybe through an email blast?

And how does an organization get to be a DO GOODER? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good overall functionality and ease of use, some small issues"
4/5
What do you like best about Bonterra Network for Good?

The functionality provided is broad and includes most things a smaller nonprofit should need. For a nonprofit without a donor management platform before, it was incredibly useful to have access to all the information about donors all in one place/

Onboarding was generally smooth, relatively little manual adjustments needed.

Customer support generally responsive via chat/email within a reasonable timeframe.

The email blast function is easy to use generally when you get used to the "content" vs "row" formatting.

The text platform is very useful for communicating with donors (for events) and also with volunteers.

Events platform works well for simple events, not use it for auctions or online check-in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bonterra Network for Good?

Manual email sending (no option to automate emails sent to donors, except for scheduling individual emails).

The email blast formatting can sometimes be annoying e.g. copy and pasting text into removes all formatting including the formatting of the blast itself, which adds time.

The interaction between the donor management and fundraising pages sections can be clunky e.g. when somebody purchases a ticket on behalf of somebody else and provides the guest's contact details, those details do not get added to donor management so it is hard to communciate with all guests for an event.

Sometimes contacts get added to the same "household" automatically just based on a shared professional address, without any notification.

When we changed our email domain and updated that on Network for Good, all of our photos were deleted. We managed to get them back but it took a while and delayed some of our communications plans. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
