The Bongo model from inception has always been a collaborative model through which creative services from all industries collaborate to ensure that all aspects of the creative output would merge its ideas into a single unified thought. The need for the next generation’s model has emerged. To combat the budgetary restraints that agencies and brand are under, the workflow must become a lean machine. Concept and Idea creation with the client is the most important component to be relevant to a brands need. The Production component, with Directors being the initial driving force (after conception of the idea is formed) must collaborate in the pre-production planning alongside all creative players involved. Concept idea generators, Writers, Editors, Motion Graphic Artists, Art Directors, Music, Sound Designers, VFX teams etc should be integral partners from the outset along with all brands and agency marketing and creative leads. This process will not only be implemented into traditional advertising but non-traditional will even benefit more. Just as the early days of punk when everything was flailing away with no concern with production or cohesive message only a need to shout out its disgust “See me, hear me, feel me” the social networking model of this generation has also become this generation’s communication of angst. With the emergence of Facebook, YouTube etc. as the new models of creative expression and writing we are on the precipice of this old Punk model-style merging into corporate America. Having experience in creating high production values, we must now engage this new model of this new generation into the higher degree of creative Production standards.
