Response from Jedidah . A . O . of Bold Reports

Hello,

Thank you so much for being a Syncfusion user and for sharing your experiences with us. We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to review Bold Reports.

I'm sorry to hear that you experienced installation issues, but am glad to know that you received the necessary assistance from our Support team and were successful in getting up & running.

The team is always working to enhance Bold Reports’ documentation and resources, so it’s possible they’ve already revised the Installation sections of the docs (https://help.boldreports.com/) after hearing where you hit trouble spots. If you have the time and inclination, though, any ideas you have for specific improvements to the installation experience can be logged at https://www.boldreports.com/feedback/install-and-configuration. Or you can simply drop your thoughts in the “Live Chat” box in the lower-right corner of Bold Reports pages.

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts. If you have any other concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to the support team!

Warm regards,

"Great way to view reports in customer built applications"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Bold Reports?

We had a use case where we needed to display SSRS reports via our new Angular application. With the SSRS module no longer supported by Microsoft, we scoured the web to find a solution. Bold Reports fit this bill perfectly. We were able to implement the plugin into our Angular application easily and display our existing reports with hardly any modifications.

We found the support to be very impressive. The onboarding process was excellent, with a shared call to discuss our requirements. We encountered a small issue, reported it, and it was promptly fixed in a subsequent release.

Overall, we’re quite happy with Bold Reports. We’ve also found that the Bold Reports application creates reports that look and feel way better than any report SSRS can create. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bold Reports?

I don’t really have anything negative to say. However, it would be nice to be able to run the RDL for SSRS directly, but this is a specific use case for us. Native Bold Reports don’t have this restriction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Interesting product, but still new"
4/5
What do you like best about Bold Reports?

"Pixel perfect" report technologies are rare. While a lot of progress is made in BI tools - not much progress was made in pixel-perfect reports, and SSRS and Crystal Reports are still the main players in this area. It is great that Bold Reports try to challenge this area and add innovation to it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bold Reports?

There are still bugs in this product. Team tries to make frequent updates (which is good, cause things get fixed), but those updates also break other things sometimes.

Also, documentation can be better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Report exporting great with Excel, poor with Word"
3/5
What do you like best about Bold Reports?

A serviceable solution to implementing SSRS on a website; great for running and exporting reports to Excel Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bold Reports?

Bold Reports is really poor at exporting reports to Word, especially when the report contains a table; row sizing is completely off and text/data gets cut off and you're forced to manually resize the table within Word Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
