Bookkeeping and invoicing software for Canadian small businesses whose owners do not want to learn accounting. There is no chart of accounts to configure and no double-entry knowledge required to record a sale or an expense. Receipts are captured by photograph. The supplier, date, amount and a suggested category are read from the image, leaving the paper copy disposable. Invoices can be sent, paid online and chased automatically when they go unanswered. Sales tax is handled the way Canadian tax actually works. Federal GST, which a registrant recovers through input tax credits, is tracked separately from provincial sales tax such as Manitoba retail sales tax, which is a cost rather than a receivable. Totals accumulate through the period so the figure exists before the filing deadline does. Records are retained for the six-year period the Canada Revenue Agency requires, with each figure traceable back to its source document. Electronic signatures are included on the Pro plan. Payroll is available as a service run by the practice behind the software rather than as software to operate.
