It is not too cumbersome yet has most/all the capability we need. It is great to use both as a board member and as an administrator. Boardpro maintains a sensible series of roles and access levels, which lets us include the right people in the processes (advisors, observers, executives, etc). The team are super-responsive to requests and questions, and maintain a healthy system for receiving & prioritizing feature requests **What do you dislike about BoardPro?** Dislike is too strong...Boardpro can get a little fussy around the minutes process, but that is more about us aligning our minute-taking and approving process with good practice. **What problems is BoardPro solving and how is that benefiting you?** scheduling and coordination of board meetings. I have a few people on some committees who are not tech-savvy but have managed to navigate through all aspects of the software. The support feature is second to none; I entered a query at 9pm expecting a reply next day, my question was answered in 5 min. Flying minute, new feature comments, I could go on. All great features. Boardpro kicks to touch anything else we have used, even the more pricy options. **What do you dislike about BoardPro?** The agenda has a few ways to populate on the screen depending on the device and what page you are on, which has created a few issues but minor really. **Recommendations to others considering BoardPro:** Take the free trial you won't look back **What problems is BoardPro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having the ability to include sub-communities with common personal on both entities whilst maintaining privacy. Over this time the features have expanded to do everything we need to help our Board operating efficiently and effectively. From agenda building to action lists to document hubs and decision registers it gives us one place for all of the essential Board information. **What do you dislike about BoardPro?** It would be great to have a Board and Committee Annual work plan built-in as we're still needing to share documents around to develop this which isn't ideal and would be the only key thing that would let us manage everything from within BoardPro. **Recommendations to others considering BoardPro:** Go for it! We migrated from a file and folder set up and could import previous board meeting minutes and decisions relatively quickly. We now have over four years of board meetings in BoardPro. I have Board Members who aren't very computer literate, and they have had no trouble using the software. As a CEO, it has massively reduced the amount of time I spend compiling Board papers. The action list makes it easy to keep track of required tasks. **What do you dislike about BoardPro?** What I don't like are two minuscule items that really are neither here nor there. I would love to be able to set a standard Board agenda template. This isn't a big issue, as once I have created one, I can copy it for the next meeting, but I just need to change some of the wording. The other item is I would like to be able to amend the automatically assigned Board start time - the system auto-fills the Board meeting start time as 10 am, and our meetings are always scheduled to start at 9.30. **Recommendations to others considering BoardPro:** BoardPro really changed our organisation for the better. They are a fantastic software for the not-for-profit sector, as they really help you to meet your regulatory requirements. **What problems is BoardPro solving and how is that benefiting you?** As mentioned above, BoardPro saves me time in compiling Board papers. It has assisted with getting papers out in an easily accessible manner for all Board Directors. The actions list and decision register have also greatly helped our Board keep on top of assigned actions and decisions. Previously actions would "fall off" the top do list when we were doing things in a manual paper-based way. This software helps keep me and the whole Board accountable. As in the title of my review, I have found BoardPro so useful that I had it implemented in Boards I sit on (I'm the CEO of the organisation that is the focus of this review). One of those Boards really struggled with it's governance and Board processes. Following implementation, the Board was able to hold the CEO of that organisation accountable. Each month I clone my last agenda, which makes it very easy to drop in the documents for discussion and make small changes to get the agenda out as soon as possible. Prior, I would spend a week getting everything collated and typing the agenda. Now, I require 1-hour max. **What do you dislike about BoardPro?** The only dislikes are when I put my agenda together and put information into the purpose section that information is not minuted into the board minutes. Therefore, when I am minute taking, I have to copy the information in purpose and paste it into a Note so it shows up in the board minutes. **Recommendations to others considering BoardPro:** Highly recommend BoardPro to make your Board run smoothly and to make your secretary's job easy. **What problems is BoardPro solving and how is that benefiting you?** The only dislike I mentioned above would be great to have solved. It seems very intuitive **What problems is BoardPro solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am able to create minutes quickly in the meeting, building on the agenda. I have previously taken minutes typing on a laptop and making occasional notes on a hard copy of the agenda, and then have gone into the draft document and had to spend a lot of time tidying up - sometimes I lose the pieces of paper. I took my first meeting with Boardpro on Wednesday, and on Thursday I had finished the minutes, my boss had reviewed them and declared them good to go. Key decisions can be accurately recorded, saved and referred to later, and one entity in particular makes regular use of the Flying Minute function to make and record decisions made outside regular meetings. It's a terrific all round package. **What do you dislike about BoardPro?** Nothing comes to mind, (and now I'm just waffling to meet minimum character requirements of this box, dumb system). **Recommendations to others considering BoardPro:** It's a great tool for governance support re agenda building, recording of key decisions, and assists the overall seamlessness of good governance practices. **What problems is BoardPro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Substantially reduced paper wastage across multiple entities. I think I use BoardPro for 4-5 entities. One is a Community Trust where we grant funds to groups/charities each meeting. Those Board packs were usually 120-150 pages with all the grant applications included, and for 10 trustees and a few staff, that resulted in massive paper wastage. Electronic Agendas/Board Packs also mean Directors/Trustees get the material electronically rather than postal, so again more efficient. ### 29.
