At the moment, we have the files in BoardEffect, but then we also have to remember to store files in the sharepoint or OneDrive. If we could store it in one place and have them update in both BoardEffect and the other platform, that would be extremely beneficial. **What problems is BoardEffect solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows for all of our board members to have access to all the documents that they may need at a given time. It is also very helpful for them in board meetings. The Categories are easy to move around if needed. The notice to view files that did not download successfully is a nice feature. All around user friendly. We use this program on a quarterly basis and have enoyed using Board Effect. **What do you dislike about BoardEffect?** When in the Meeting Book View tab, there a some glitches when clicking on topics/documenst to view. Sometimes it does not take you to the topic/document that you chose.When you mininmize the sub categories, it will not keep them closed when in the book viewer. **What problems is BoardEffect solving and how is that benefiting you?** Board Effect helps me to organize thousands of pages of documnets that must be presented to our Board each quater and for special meetings. Collection of all board documents is very helpful and saves a lot of time. I find it fairly easy to integrate it with our email system, which makes it easy to email update and agendas out. Ease in administration has also been depicted by the ability to easily train new members to the board. In general, I can say that BoardEffect has helped a lot to make the board meetings more effective and increase our productivity. **What do you dislike about BoardEffect?** What I don’t like about BoardEffect is that the mobile app has some lagging problems at times. This has lead to inconvenience when one wants to access document while on the move. Also, the setup and configuration of the platform at the outset took more time than expected and was relatively difficult. These tools have brought a lot of of change in board management since it is now easier to prepare for meetings and to manage or keep track of documents that are vital in the board’s activities. The interface and the overall structure of the software are very logical and, as being able to interact with all the essential services in one platform increases our productivity. **What do you dislike about BoardEffect?** There is still some deficiency in the reporting feature which can definitely be enhanced in BoardEffect. The current reports are lacking in customization and detail making it difficult to pull out specific information needed for board meetings. Plus all the other great features like surveys and the library to house all of our board documents or articles of interest. Joining a meeting virtually is just one click for users. And so much more. It was very easy for folx to learn the new platform, I have always had amazing customer support, and it was easy for me to transfer our data and implement the program into my workflow. **What do you dislike about BoardEffect?** It would be helpful if BoardEffect had an option to know whether folx have viewed the meeting book or not, like we did in Director Point. I still have to have our resolutions signed on paper, or through a different platform. It is very easy to drag and drop contents in packets and build board books. The ability to track votes and share information quickly with board/committee members is very nice. The app works nice for users and we really like the security of a cloud based platform that is locked down. **What do you dislike about BoardEffect?** Finding past packets/books is clunky and our users struggle to do this. The voting is very tough for most of our board members, so our admins end up voting on behalf of others (at least this is an option) for quite a few of our committee users. We don't even try to use the voting/survey feature with our board meetings because the users struggle way too much to find the tool and then navigate from the voting back to the packet. We also aren't sure why there is a difference between polls and surveys and think the voting process could be simplified. We would like to be able to lock a book once it is published so even an admin can't unlock it since it is then a corporate record. This often happens accidentally because an admin is trying to copy a previous book/packet to build the new packet. This tends to work much easier than using a template, but has its own drawbacks. We would also like to be able to link one book to another without having to copy the entire book and put it in another committee. **What problems is BoardEffect solving and how is that benefiting you?** We need to be able to share very large amounts of information with our board and committees. A board packet can easily be a few hundred pages so it is nice to be able to quickly search or get to the right page in a packet. It also saves a lot on paper printing and mailing costs. Some of pour board members travel regularly, so this BoardEffect allows them to have access to the information for meetings wherever they are. I am able to get materials to Trustees and Members for various Boards and subcommitees, ensure that we are HIPPA compliant, and can update and substitute said materials instantly. We are saving time and resources and paper and ink as well. **What do you dislike about BoardEffect?** Unfortunately, I am unable to use the Minutes feature at this time based on the need for using our own template but look forward to being able to change or add our own templates down the line. **What problems is BoardEffect solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was spending an exorbitant amount of time, resources, and energy making binders for each Board Member. Plus, in the days and hours leading up to the meeting, if changes had to be made in financial reports, etc, I had to reprint. It was an outdated and inefficient practice. I also like the ability to create docusigns that I know are secure for my board members to review, comment on, and approve with a signature. **What do you dislike about BoardEffect?** Only being able to view and save approvals once is frustrating and does not always work on my computer. The BOD have the ability to download and mark up their meeting books with their notes and it can be collaborative as well. All Board materials are easily accessible and organized within the workrooms and libraries. Once you get the hang of where everything is, it's very user friendly. I can even use the platform to run surveys or virtual voting, which is super helpful. **What do you dislike about BoardEffect?** While I believe it's fairly user friendly, our older Board members sometimes find it hard to navigate the platform. If anyone on your Board is not technilogically inclined, they will need more than one extensive training session. My one critique would be I wish that when building a book, the page numbers would automatically be populated so that it matches with the agenda for ease of locating certain pages. **What problems is BoardEffect solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before Board Effect, Board books were assembled manually into a physical book, super archaic. Multiple administrators can now collaborate to build board materials, all documents are archived and can be easily located if someone needs to look back on older files. Onboarding and offboarding incoming and outgoing board members is simple and virtually painless. Board meetings are more efficient and sustainable; each member knows to bring in their own laptop or tablet, reducing our carbon footprint and not wasting paper/ink printing out the board packet. They are very patient with me and always answer quickly and thoroughly. I use this platform almost daily and the more I use it the easier it is to acclimate our Board to using it as well.
