I do not like one thing about Boardable and that is the user interface is slightly complicated especially to new users. One might need some time to get used to how additional options are located in the application interface. However, some aspects of templates and notifications’ customization are not very versatile. The aspect that I like most with Boardable is how it makes handling board meetings easy. Every update they release has some kind of issue and makes using their platform more and more labor intensive.

This latest one removed editing recurring meeting times for the series, want a semi-monthly meeting.. not unless you want to setup monthly and delete the inbetweens... want to set one person for the meeting series as a collaborator to edit the agenda or minutes, like a committee chair, nope! If you setup a recurnning series, you have to do it for every single meeting, so you are touching 6 meetings you never wanted. Want to sort your tasks by due date, nope! Want to still see a Board members profile who left the organization so you know their volunteer service history, nope! Missing minutes from a previous meeting after a software update? It's your fault, but they can't tell you who deleted them, when you know it wasn't you or the one other person who has access..lol.

It is something after each update, and this latest one has literally made it the most labor-intensive thing I do instead of it being time-saving. Their response is they will submit the feedback, like it is a new request when you are just asking them to stop breaking things.

When you manage a large organization with 10 committees, including non-board volunteers, and over 75 meetings a year, I'm sure you don't want to spend your time finding workarounds in Boardable. After 5 years on the platform, my advice is to RUN AWAY! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
