What I like best about BMC Helix Business Workflows is how flexible it is for managing different business services through a single platform. In our experience, it was easy to configure request workflows, approval steps, and task assignments to match our internal processes. I also liked the visibility it provided, as it was straightforward to track request status, identify bottlenecks, and ensure requests moved through the right teams without constant follow-ups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about BMC Helix Business Workflows? One area that could be improved is the experience of building and maintaining more complex workflows. While the platform offers a lot of flexibility, configuring multi-step approvals, task dependencies, and business rules can take time and requires a good understanding of the workflow designer. We also had to revisit some configurations as our processes evolved. More ready-to-use templates and a simpler design experience would make customization faster and easier. BMC Helix Business Workflows helped us replace email-based and manual request handling with standardized workflows. This benefited our team by making it easier to assign requests to the right people, track progress, and ensure approvals were completed on time. As a result, we spent less time following up on requests, had better visibility into ongoing work, and were able to deliver business services more efficiently and consistently.
