## BlueConic Reviews
  ### 1. Highly Customizable, but Adblock Issues

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about BlueConic?**

I use BlueConic for popup dialogues and dynamic content within our websites. I like how it allows us to dynamically insert content and personalize it based on user journeys, which helps keep our systems low and users engaged. I find the dynamic content on the page results in offloading our systems, which is a great benefit. Additionally, we really like the customization available, which we can apply per site. The setup was also very easy, which was an added bonus.

**What do you dislike about BlueConic?**

I don't like that BlueConic doesn't work if a user has adblock, which is a massive negative.

**What problems is BlueConic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use BlueConic for pop-up dialogues and dynamic content. It lets us insert personalized, journey-based content, keeps our systems efficient, and engages users with recommended articles. We appreciate the site-specific customization and offloading systems workload.

  ### 2. Clunky Dialogues and an Unreliable Client-Side SDK Make Segmentation Hard to Use

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about BlueConic?**

Segmentation and journeys are great but dialogues are wanting.

**What do you dislike about BlueConic?**

Dialogue's are very clunky, require Chrome with browser security features turned off, and often don't work. Their client-side SDK never truly gives you all the users segments so it's impossible to use effectively. The client-side SDK gives you SOME of the segments (maybe) when you call, but if you call moments later you'll get even more—there's no point at which it tells you "Now all the segments have loaded". You have to rely on the REST API which is heavier, requires a server-side call, and thus limits what you can really do. If you think it's like an Optimizely, it's not.

**What problems is BlueConic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Segmentation and journey mapping for marketing automation works pretty well.

  ### 3. Good middelware CDP for feed your advertising campaigns

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Remy d. | Digital Marketing Manager, Retail, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2023

**What do you like best about BlueConic?**

You can gather all kinds of touchpoint info on customer profile level easily, like e-mail data, website data, advertising data to create a full customer profile that you can use to create segmentations or audiciens to create relevant personalizations in your advertising. External data can be easily imported through automations API connections or imports of CSV files.

**What do you dislike about BlueConic?**

Create more out the box integrations to create personalization in CMS systems. It's a bit hard to quickly create personalizations which withholds the usage of Blueconic.

**What problems is BlueConic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With all data in one place we can make sure that we run our campaigns differently on different customer types

  ### 4. Needs Better Connectivity and Support

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sabrina F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about BlueConic?**

I love when I can get BlueConic to work and use a CRM list. Our clients upload their list, and it lets me connect it to Meta already hashed.

**What do you dislike about BlueConic?**

I find that BlueConic doesn't always push data correctly or run smoothly, which is a bit frustrating. The connection process itself could be better. Also, I'd like more helpful guidance from reps on setting up with Meta, as it could make things a lot easier. The initial setup could be easier if we had more help.

**What problems is BlueConic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love using BlueConic because it lets me connect client CRM lists to meta advertising seamlessly when it works.

  ### 5. Effective for Profile Segmentation, But Needs Improved Support

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shubham G.

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about BlueConic?**

I like the segmentation and profile management in BlueConic as a Customer Data Platform. Its API SDK is very good and makes it easy to migrate different connections from UI to SDL. The initial setup of BlueConic was quite smooth.

**What do you dislike about BlueConic?**

PII Identification in profile properties are not present, no agentic support.

**What problems is BlueConic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use BlueConic for managing marketing campaigns, creating segments, and targeting specific groups for campaigns.

  ### 6. Excellent CDP for scaled brands

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2023

**What do you like best about BlueConic?**

- Support and Product teams are consistently responsive and helpful
- Exceptional segmentation capabilities
- Strong suite of martech connections to a large catalog of partners. Fairly easy to spin up custom connections with FTP, API, AWS or drive, etc.
- Ability to join many customer data sources and timestamp key lifecycle events
- Listeners and Dialogue feature enables interactive experiences that tie cleanly to 1P data
- Easy to create new properties and give them appropriate settings
- Writing custom fields with a simple builder or SQL queries
- Python skillset can enable advanced analysis capabilities in the AI workbench
- Basic dashboards can pull quick segment insights, although there's a lot of opportunity for growth here

**What do you dislike about BlueConic?**

- Better foldering or organization of segments would be helpful
- Would like to have segment test & control reporting in the UI.

**What problems is BlueConic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BlueConic helps us organize a 360 view of our customer and activate value-driving experiences using profile data. Blueconic functions as a CDP and CRM in-one, and helps us automate data movement across a wide variety of partners.

  ### 7. Lots of interesting features, easy to use, great support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Guido N. | Data Analytics Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2023

**What do you like best about BlueConic?**

It has a lot of useful features: flexibility in the definition of new properties and segments, connectors for external systems to inject/share data (social media, data warehouses, marketing platforms, ...), easy and straightforward installation both on websites and apps, great support (fast, committed and helpful), the "AI workbench" section offers the possibility to run scripts to calculate new complex metrics or to apply AI algorithms.
Users management is simple and very flexible, offering very detailed access levels to resources (especially the access to personal information is carefully managed).
Overall, it has all the features you would expect in a CDP for big enterprises (managing it in a proper way and exploiting all its capabilities requires dedicated resources).

**What do you dislike about BlueConic?**

It's a relatively young platform and it has developed quickly, so there are bugs here and there: usually not show-stoppers, but still annoying. For example, in the "insight" section, where you can display and customize simple dashboards and download basic reports, for certain combinations of properties and segments the downloaded numbers are different from what is displayed (and they just don't make sense).
Segments are easy to create, but there are some limitations (for example you can create a new segment by intersecting existing segments but not joining them).
The UX is good enough, but it could be improved

**What problems is BlueConic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can collect all the actions users are taking into our properties (web and apps), we can analyse their behaviour, define the product development rodmaps based on this analysis, target the users with tailored communications in campaigns and newsletters, understand the needs of our personas and target new customers accordingly

  ### 8. Marketeer friendly CDP with lots of out of the box possibilities

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2023

**What do you like best about BlueConic?**

BlueConic is a CDP which is easy to use for a marketeer to personalize the online journey of your users. Dialogues can be put up without a lot of techical knowledge. There are a lot of out of the box connections that can be used to connect other systems in your tech stack with BlueConic.

The BlueConic team is also very accessible. They use their expertise to help you build your usecases. We also had a great experience in co-creating new features, which weren't possible before. They really think with you.

**What do you dislike about BlueConic?**

The UX is not bad but it could improved.

Because there are lot of features it's sometimes not that easy to keep track of all the possiblities you have.

**What problems is BlueConic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gathering & storing all online data in a unified profile.
Creating segments to use for marketering purposes.
Interacting with our users in a personalized way.
Personalizing the online experience of our uses (giving them personalized content & marketing messages).
Dynamic data & paywalls
Optimization of conversion

  ### 9. BlueConic Highly recommended CDP platform and partner

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yves U. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2023

**What do you like best about BlueConic?**

You pay for the features you need and not for all the bells and whsitles. It is also an easy and intuitive platform. The onboardign process has been quite smooth. Jeff and his team have gone above and beyond to make sure we get the most of the platform and that it answers our business needs and that we can measure incrmental success and ROI to the business.

**What do you dislike about BlueConic?**

Nothing so far - I like that there sout of the box connections and options to build ustom API connections. I think more optimisations may be identified once we are live and measuring incremental value and reporting.

**What problems is BlueConic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BlueConic is helping us provide a single view of the consumer across all our marketing touchpoints and activities. This allows us to provide:
1. perosnalised journies and expereicnes across our channels
2. media efficenices
3. Enablement for abandoned cart and other D2C capabilities and journies
4. sophisiticated segmentation
5. determine CLV
6. provide better reporting and insights

  ### 10. Creating actionable insights to turn engagement into subscriptions

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johan D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2023

**What do you like best about BlueConic?**

Blueconic allows to easily create insights that can immediately be used as triggers for actions (both inside the platform as in connected platforms through the connectors).

**What do you dislike about BlueConic?**

The pluggability of the platform is a big advantage, but keeping oversight of all possibilities that can be added through plugins can be difficult.

**What problems is BlueConic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blueconic allows us to have a very short chain between measuring behaviour and engaging with the user, while still keeping the possibility to import advanced metrics from external systems.

  ### 11. Excellent pure-play CDP to gather and activate your customer data

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2023

**What do you like best about BlueConic?**

Very understandable UI, possibility to connect with in essention all systems, fully in control of data modelling with AI Workbench.

**What do you dislike about BlueConic?**

By making connections through Jupiter notebooks it is not easily possible to collect real-time-data, only with named connections.

**What problems is BlueConic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unifying all customer data, activating and modelling on this data.

  ### 12. Experience with Blueconic

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2023

**What do you like best about BlueConic?**

Cross-Channel Marketing: BlueConic supports omnichannel marketing by integrating with various marketing channels, including email, social media, mobile, web, and advertising platforms. This integration helps businesses deliver consistent messaging and experiences across channels.

**What do you dislike about BlueConic?**

Implementation Challenges: Implementing a customer data platform like BlueConic can be a complex process, especially for organizations with existing data systems and infrastructure. Integration with different data sources and systems may require technical expertise and resources.

**What problems is BlueConic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lack of Personalization: Personalization is crucial for delivering relevant and engaging experiences to customers. BlueConic addresses this challenge by leveraging the unified customer data to enable real-time personalization across channels. By tailoring messages, offers, and recommendations to individual customers, businesses can enhance customer engagement and drive conversions.

  ### 13. First CDP product I've experienced

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2023

**What do you like best about BlueConic?**

That all the data is centralized in 1 place. Open to listening.

**What do you dislike about BlueConic?**

Internal analytics - alot to desire here; Personalization - not very user-friendly & missing flexibility; System administration data points & reporting

**What problems is BlueConic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Efficiency to bring together a campaign

  ### 14. Great segment system and tool for site pop-ups

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2021

**What do you like best about BlueConic?**

Blueconic has a great platform for easy html/css input, easy to use/understand segments, and their documentation online is full of depth and knowledge. Best of all: makes scaling easy.

**What do you dislike about BlueConic?**

The system is so easy to use that sometimes it seems easy to break or mess something up (live). There is a small learning curve in the beginning, and feel as if its success is dependent on a web development team.

**What problems is BlueConic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Segmenting our users and targeting specific experiences for specific groups of users. We use a lot of segments for exclusion purposes with our digital experiences, but that's to ease their digital journey.

  ### 15. we use blueconic to capture data and serve ads

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily S. | Manager, Digital Marketing and Content, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2021

**What do you like best about BlueConic?**

We like best that we can capture data and learn more about our fans and customers. Also, we love all the integrations that blueconic provides. the one we use most often is mailchimp. This allows us to import data about consumers and send them emails with certain properties. Also, this allows us to collect data, which can help from an advertising standpoint in both sales and paid digital advertising. Blueconic allows us to learn so much. We also use blueconic on our websites to serve messages via marketing tools in a variety of ways. We use the lightbox, toasters and notification bars on all of our websites to tell customers about sales, important information or to sign up for emails. Also, we use it on our websites for content takeover.

**What do you dislike about BlueConic?**

We don't like that sometimes the integrations do not work. Also, when we reach out to customer service, sometimes it takes a while for the solution to be found and fixed.

**What problems is BlueConic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the problem of serving messages to our consumers or fans and we are also able to gain valuable information and data about people who are visiting our site or purchasing from us. It makes it easy to house all of our data in one place and integrate it with other applications. It integrates nicely and is easily transferable. We can also pull reports easily to share data internally or with externally partners.

  ### 16. It can synthesize a lot of data from many sources

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin B. | Vendor Relations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2020

  ### 17. BlueConic as a Customer Data Platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2020

**What do you like best about BlueConic?**

From a Customer Data Platform perspective, BlueConic does a great job of unifying customer profiles for segmentation and gives the ability to create a 360 degree view of both current clients/customers and prospects within one single view.

Being able to access a 360 degree view of my target clients and prospects helps me to better message offers.

**What do you dislike about BlueConic?**

Some of the analytics capabilities could be expanded out to produce a wider range of reports.

**What problems is BlueConic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to truly understand customer profiles is priceless from a segmentation and marketing standpoint.

  ### 18. Powerful and Easy to Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Trevor P. | Senior Marketing Technologist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2017

**What do you like best about BlueConic?**

BlueConic's technology and interface is second to none. They excel at taking potentially difficult tasks and making them easy for users to accomplish without having to stretch the platform's limits or reach out to customer support. The way BlueConic integrates with websites almost seems like magic; by placing a single tag you're able to track almost everything and deploy website personalization. It's one of the most powerful and flexible data tools we've used.

**What do you dislike about BlueConic?**

Right now, there's no ability to view metadata about the profile data, such as date created or updated, which would be a very valuable benefit. In order to track the necessary data, you sometimes have to get creative with the profile attributes part of the tool, which can become a tangled mess if you're not careful.

**Recommendations to others considering BlueConic:**

BlueConic is definitely a leader in the CDP and marketing data space. After looking at several similar tools they stood apart due to the tools intuitiveness and power, along with their great customer support.

**What problems is BlueConic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using BlueConic to create a centralized database of our users that is accessible to all of our other marketing tools.

  ### 19. Helpful in ways you didn't expect

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2018

**What do you like best about BlueConic?**

Data visualization, segmentation count estimation, connections to 3rd parties

**What do you dislike about BlueConic?**

Not as easy to create personalization on my site as my CMS and not as easy to create personalization in email as my email distribution system, but the behavior data for the personalization is still very much worthwhile.

**Recommendations to others considering BlueConic:**

Ask about the meanings and possibilities of fields and how the info will be treated when profiles merge. Test connections well.

**What problems is BlueConic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data visualization was impossible before. We had no idea when we wanted to come up with a segment if it would be statistically significant for the effort.
