**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

Though the learning curve takes time from switching to generic pdf to Bluebeam. Sometimes unnecessary formatting when converting schedules and word docs to PDF.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bluebeam Revu helps read plans and do the markups with an overlay of drawings. The search function is helpful to find symbols and words. Easier for communication with clients as well

  ### 2. Bluebeam is the best PDF reading tool!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

I like that I can easily snap to point to calibrate scales and draw mark-ups on Bluebeam. There are so much more features I haven't explored yet but I know I will love to learn!

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

Sometimes Bluebeam session disconnects from the server in the middle of working time. I know there might be some accidents or any other reasons, But, not being able to work is frustrating.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bluebeam provides such an amazing way to read/edit PDFs. It is extremely important for us to work in architectural engineering. We need to review, mark, and QC drawings all the time.

  ### 3. Good PDF viewer and file sharer that you can collaborate with.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

Others can share large files with you that you can download, that you otherwise wouldn't be able to do through email.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

There isn't really anything in Bluebeam that I dislike. Maybe the login process could be smoother?

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to collaborate on a PDF file that everyone can see and make comments on. It makes you more efficient in your work.

  ### 4. Bluebeam Revu is a must-have for architects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madeleine C. | Job Captain, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

Bluebeam is a user-friendly PDF editor that, in my opinion, is better than Adobe Reader. It allows you to easily edit and markup PDFs and flatten any markups you've made. My favorite feature is Bluebeam Studio, which allows you to upload a PDF to their server, and multiple people can edit it at once. This allows us to redline drawing sets with ease. It also features a toolbox of markups that are construction-drawing friendly, and it recognizes the scale of drawings. This allows you to measure and scale off of a drawing set in case you need to verify any dimensions.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

The Bluebeam app will often hide other windows and applications behind it, and you cannot access them until you minimize Bluebeam. This often leads to frustration, as I try to open a program previously on the same screen as Bluebeam, but Bluebeam will not allow it. I have to manually minimize or hide Bluebeam in order to access any windows behind it.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluebeam:**

If you find yourself getting frustrated with Adobe's PDF editors, Bluebeam is for you. It has so many markup options and makes it easy to add bookmarks, change the names of individual pages, and draw/markup on PDFs.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The best benefit our company has realized through Bluebeam is the Bluebeam Studio session, where multiple users can markup the same PDF. You can even change the markup to "canceled" or "completed" in real-time to show that you have completed the markup changes. This is incredibly useful in an office where multiple people are working in the same project off the same marked-up PDF.

  ### 5. Bluebeam is a must in the construction industry

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danny J. | CADD Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

The software has been designed with the construction industry in mind. There are so many built in features that improve productivity. We use it for take-offs and budgets. I could never imagine going back to Adobe.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

Updates seem to make minor changes to features that you have to re-do (i.e., toolbars added/changed). These are not deal-breakers. However, it makes me hesitant to update until I have time to update and figure out the minor changes.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluebeam:**

BlueBeam is very robust and comprehensive for many industries. It is very customizable and can seem daunting to get past the basics. However, there is a great support community since most of the construction industry exclusively utilizes this software. There are also many videos on youtube and support through the FAQ on the Bluebeam website.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bluebeam is a quick way to budget projects with square foot take-offs and running counts of material.

  ### 6. Bluebeam Extreme for Form making works great for my purposes!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

The functionality and ability to write JS script within.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

It could be a little easier for UI, as in less cluttered, but then that is up to users to pick and choose their layout and settings.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating custom forms and drafts for checklists.

  ### 7. PDF Program Geared Towards the Construction Industry

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kari A. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

Bluebeam is a one-stop shop for PDF viewing, analyzing, and processing. There is no other program more suited toward the construction and design industry and I use it daily.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

The takeoff feature is a bit clunky but it gets the job done.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bluebeam provides fantastic document comparison tools that often save me hours of work. The takeoff tool is included and saves thousands over other software options that have monthly/yearly fees.

  ### 8. Easy way to import and export large scale plans.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** April M. | Supervisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

I like the ability to import large-scale plans and then being able to zoom in and concentrate on small sections without losing the scale the best. This allows us to revue everything correctly and appropriately.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

When the plans are stamped by us with the stamps we created and uploaded into Bluebeam, we cannot export them directly from Bluebeam with the stamp on them back into our permit software. We have to save it to the desktop and then import it back into the permit software. It would be nice if there was a seamless import.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the problem of being more online and less paper being used in the office. We have realized the cost benefits of not having to have plans printed and shipped. We are also able to accept more projects from people who are not in town by accepting online submittals and revue of plans.

  ### 9. Bluebeam Revu is Amazing but Pricy!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derek A. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

I love how easy this program is to use. They make it extremely simple to operate and the tools within are amazing. I would highly recommend this program for take-offs and pdf editing.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

The price of this program is high. The functions and tools built-in do make it worth the money if you can warrant the price. No other dislikes from me for this software.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used this software to assist with take-offs for both the stone industry and the cabinetry industry. This product has increased speed and accuracy while allowing me to save all measurements within the document.

  ### 10. Bluebeam Revu - Best Program for Architecture Firms

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah I. | Architectural Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

What I like best about Bluebeam Revu is how many useful features it has that help make organizing, editing, and planning documents so easy, especially in the field of Architecture. I can quickly scale drawings in Bluebeam Revu, which allows me then use digital drawings faster, easier, and more accurately than ever before. Bluebeam Revu will enable me to mark up sheets for my coworkers and has so many different tools that the options are endless. I can easily save my files in whatever file type I need and can export them out even in reduced file size. Bluebeam Revu allows you to staple PDF's together to make one PDF without any hassle, and it also has a great feature in the program that can replace certain pages within a document with PDF pages outside of the program. You can add in pages in any spot quickly as well. Bluebeam Revu also has customizable options of stamping sets of drawings or adding in signature blocks. The program has every opportunity you would need to edit your documents digitally. The program has been well maintained and has bug fixes and updates often; therefore, I know the Bluebeam staff take quality very seriously for this software, and I trust that it will only get better from here.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

What I dislike about Bluebeam Revu is that it is a bit difficult to utilize two screens with Bluebeam if you want to view two documents at the same time. It is possible to pull Bluebeam Revu and stretch it to fit over the multiple screens you have. The feature it currently has is a bit clunky and confusing and begins to lose some of the more apparent user-friendly design it has in its original format. Luckily Bluebeam Revu still has viewing two projects at the same time as an option, it just unfortunately needs work to be a feature worth highlighting.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluebeam:**

I would highly recommend Bluebeam Revu to anyone in the field of Architecture, Design, and Planning. Bluebeam Revu is am amazing and simple tool to use to organize, edit, compile and share documents. My company recently switched to it from another software and were weary of the daunting task of learning a new program; however, everyone in my firm has said they love the program more than the previous and have had little issue learning the new controls. Our HR team enjoys Bluebeam Revu because it is a one time purchase program; therefore, it does not cost the company money each year, and it is less for HR to keep up with.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems I am solving with Bluebeam Revu is the problem of working with documents digitally vs. physically. Since all of my job consists on the computer, it is essential to have a program that can work to meet our needs in this way. Anything that you could want to do physically with your hands to a paper document, you are able to do digitally with Bluebeam Revu. The benefits I have realized with Bluebeam Revu are the efficient and easy options and endless opportunities to edit documents the way you want.

  ### 11. Best PDF Viewing and Editing Software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

I can do stuff like mark ups and edit pdf at the same time. I can sign the documents and measure plans all in one software. It's a life saver for my work.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

It is a paid software and the prices are such that only a company/private organization can afford it.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluebeam:**

Go for it. I can never recommend any other software more than Revu.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No running here and there for working on my pdfs or construction drawings, all in one solution to everything. I first used Revu Bluebeam in 2020 and have used it every single day I have worked since then.

  ### 12. Engineering Associate

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civil Engineering | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

The panel that shows you all the pages with a little preview window. This makes it easy to find pages you need fast and you can also copy and paste the pages in another document.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

I do not like how difficult it is to change the defaults for the drawing/editing tools. Every time I markup a document I have to change the font and color becaue blue beam never remembers.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefits are you can easily markup and share documents with comments within the company. Not really solving any problems.

  ### 13. This program is very powerful.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chloe C. | Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

I like having the power to freely edit documents the way that I envision. I appreciate the wide variety of tools that allow me to markup a document and send to others. I also like how easy it is to combine existing documents into one. Whether I use the copy and paste tool or the combine tool, there are multiple ways to go about combining pages of different documents.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

I dislike how not all documents are presented in continuous mod as I often zoom in and out of documents by accident. I also feel as if this program would be more powerful if it was more universally used. One thing that I wish was different was that the document should flatten automatically upon saving. Often times I move things that I do not mean to move, so automatically flattening the document upon saving would be ideal.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluebeam:**

The Bluebeam Revu help resources online are very helpful. I often look up questions in Google regarding the program and am always left with the answers I am looking for. I have also utilized the help feature within the program and am always directed to where I am trying to go.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am analyzing construction documents in Bluebeam Revu. I have realized that the program is a combination of photoshop and word editing programs. I like having the ability to use different shapes and colors when marking up documents for others. I really like the linking feature of this program. I am able to easily access other documents within my network just by clicking on the reference. I have never experienced issues with this.

  ### 14. Bluebeam is the most comprehensive PDF editing software to date

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renee R. | Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

Bluebeam allows me to create quick markups to share with my project team. It is very customizable, and Bluebeam studio session is crucial for working across offices and disciplines.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

The Bluebeam interface isn't the most intuitive. I also run into glitches occasionally, most recently with the text on the interface itself. The program is still completely worth it, though.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluebeam:**

If you ever have any issues, reach out to the support team. They are quick to respond and very helpful!

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bluebeam allows all architecture, interior design, and engineering consultants to work together on one PDF. This helps streamline the project. We can alert each other to anything that needs attention.

  ### 15. Excellent collaboration tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

Bluebeam is very easy to use. It is more than a highly integrated PDF reader and editor; it includes a collaborative Studio function, where team members can be invited to collaborate their various comments onto a single document. Comments can be assigned to others for action and sorted by author, date, color, type of markup, etc, and exported as a report. Some of the editing tools I really like include modifying images to be transparent and color changed so that you can overlay one document on another to see the changes. You can also create custom markup tools and save in your toolbox.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

I would like more customization of the display (colors, size of icons), however you can change which menus you'd like to see.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The latest software refresh changed the password store setting on Bluebeam Studio. Now, I have to enter it in each time I log in. Also, you can save your desired settings in a profile, but it would be nice if saving the profile and toolbox was automatic and resaved monthly in your cache files. I've lost my toolboxes and profile settings multiple times.

  ### 16. Best PDF software for businesses!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civil Engineering | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

Bluebeam offers a variety of pdf tools to speed up the process of pdf combining and editing. For an engineering business, the ability to creat any scale to quickly determine dimensions is invaluable.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

The software can sometimes be slow to render pdf. To run Bluebeam effectively a fairly powerful computer is required for larger pdf's. The sync for Bluebeam Studio can be unreliable and require the software to be restarted.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the issue of group collaboration in the review of project plans. Using Bluebeam Studio how allowed all members of the team to simultaneously add annotations and markups to the document during group meetings.

  ### 17. Bluebeam Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katie H. | Project Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

Ease of use. Customization. Collaboration. Online/Offline usage.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

Can be intimidating to initially learn and customize.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team collaboration. Improving speed and efficiency in markups, reviews, verifying existing conditions.

  ### 18. Versatile Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James S. | Pre-Construction Manager | Senior Estimator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

Cost! Bluebeam Revu packs-in numerous tools considering the price. I use it for quick & basic take-off, editing PDFs, reviewing & commenting on PDFs, combining PDFs.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

The take-off capabilities are lacking to mediocre at best. Visual takeoff is based on line points & pixel scales & not actual scale. Also, filtering take-off output is wonky. Saving take-off "tools" is cumbersome.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick take-off for a handful of sheets is efficient enough with Bluebeam Revu. Reviewing & creating submittals is where I realize the most benefit. It is also quite handy when a new document template form is needed.

  ### 19. Annoying to Use, But Fairly Powerful

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avery C. | Marketing Director, Architecture & Planning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

Some features of Bluebeam Revu that I like best are that there is a quick access menu on the sidebar that can either show recently opened files, pages of the file you have open, or bookmarks. I use these tools frequently. A tool that we frequently use collaboratively amongst the office is the Studio tool which allows invited participants to collaborate in real-time while marking up or editing a document. In my architecture firm office, we use the Studio feature to be able to complete redline corrections quickly and more efficiently because we are able to see in real-time who is completing which edit. Before we used Studio for this, we used print-outs that were hand-redlined and had to be checked out by editors and then returned to the set with a new printed copy of the corrections. It was not nearly as efficient.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

I dislike that many of the tools are inconvenient to use and can be hard to find in the ribbons. It can also be extremely frustrating that options reset when you switch to a different tool.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluebeam:**

Definitely choose to use Bluebeam Revu over traditional PDF editors like Adobe Acrobat. While Revu may be annoying to use sometimes, it can do more and will make your life easier.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned in what I like best about Bluebeam Revu, I like collaborating in real-time with my colleagues while marking up or editing a document. In my architecture firm office, we use the Studio feature to complete redline corrections quickly and more efficiently because we can see in real-time who is completing which edit. Before we used Studio for this, we used print-outs that were hand-redlined and had to be checked out by editors and then returned to the set with a new printed copy of the corrections. It was not nearly as efficient.

  ### 22. Elite PDF Editor

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

The best part of Bluebeam Revu is the capability of editing PDFs and hiding stuff that shouldn't be there. It is easy to update forms, etc. in this PDF Editor because you can choose any of their fonts and match it to the rest of the form.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

The only thing I dislike is that it is not as standard across the industry. Most people use Adobe so it can be hard to find users with knowledge of Bluebeam. It is the best PDF Editor though.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluebeam:**

Reach out to other users of Bluebeam Revu. There are a lot of tricks that take years to master. You can also reach out to their support team as they are helpful with these tricks.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a must use software for all engineers in the design and estimation area.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bluebeam helps me in my work as I'm a design and estimation engineer. It makes life easier for quantity take offs in the designing process. It is also an accurate and most reliable software.

  ### 28. love this software for architects!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

It is easy to open any PDF, with any number of pages and add text, comments, arrows, shapes, or even images. It's easy to maneuver around the software or a zoom in and out, and it's intuitive enough to use live during meetings

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

we have always used blue beam revu at work with our MacBook laptops, however recently we have been told that it's no longer compatible with Apple. My version somehow still works because I've had it for a long enough that I think I'm just grandfathered in however a lot of other people in my firm are not able to use it anymore unless we switch to Windows based computers

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are easily able to mark up and collaborate on drawing sets with our entire team

  ### 29. One stop shop software for most of document/project needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesse C. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

The number of features and functionality that one can use. You can edit and create pdfs in any way you want. I also love the collaboration tools available such as studio and sessions.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

Its hard to dislike a program that has made my life substantially easier. Perhaps if they provided easy-to-access tutorials for the less common features available.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PDF editing, creating, and revising. Cross coordination work with fellow empoyees on a certain project or document.

  ### 30. All in one Document/File/Media Viewer & Editor

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dennis K. | Civil Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

Powerful tools to help edit PDF documents, easy to learn the basics but also hard to master

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

Somewhat requires a lot of computer processing power to operate smoothly

**Recommendations to others considering Bluebeam:**

Utilize "Reduce file Size" command to reduce PDF files so that it your blubeam experience is smooth and clear

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Editing PDFs on the fly, locking PDF documents for restricting editing to those shared with etc.

  ### 31. A must for quick PDF based communication.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

I can quickly markup PDFs to help launch conversations directly in context. Also very sketch ideas up roughly to scale.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

I usually have to tweak font size, line weight, margins, opacity etc for markup when I'm working in a new document. I don't think there's any easy way around this though.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluebeam:**

If work with architectural plans at all - this software is a must. Easy to measure; easy to markup.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's powerful for architectural team coordination. The biggest help has been providing feedback and questions with context directly on floor plans, diagrams, etc.

  ### 32. Was great... until recent updates

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clara S. | Project Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

Bluebeam, in general, is a great PDF viewer and editor. All the features are great - from adding text boxes, clouds, highlighting, pen, stamp, count, etc. It's a great tool, especially for the construction/design industry. I especially love the layer feature, and how you can turn certain layers off or on, which is useful when a drawing is too cluttered.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

About a year ago, they rolled out an update that changed many things for the worse. A lot of my colleagues agree that it is now more difficult to use, and at first, the app would freeze a lot and a page you'd be looking at would just go blank. I discovered a workaround, but it was still very inconvenient at the time. I wish they had never updated.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PDF editing for large files - we have compiled "sets" of drawings (e.g. compiled Civil set, compiled Architectural set, etc.), and some files can be over 100 pages long, which makes for a very large file size. It's helpful to have a bookmark feature and layers that help mitigate some congestion.

  ### 33. Awesome product for Architecture Professionals

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

What I like best about the program is the ability to do corrections alongside the reviewer.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

When heavy files are in use, the program can slow down significantly and seem frozen in place.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluebeam:**

There are a bunch of add-ons for architectural offices that help with ease of use when correcting drawings.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefit of not having to leave my office to do a back-check review with a building official is significantly time-saving.

  ### 34. Bluebeam REvu Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Blake G. | Assistant Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

I like the simplicity of the menu/tool bar up top. Very self explanitory on where to click and what tools youll be using once clicked.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

I dislike when the application freezes when you have documents open and some documents can not be retrieved with edits so you have to basically start all over again.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluebeam:**

I would highly reccommend as the interface is super simple.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In construction its very nice and easy to dimension things and draw up quick sketches, cloud areas that you are referencing. It is way more simple and user friendly than Adobe.

  ### 35. Bluebeam Revu - An excellent tool for construction project managers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

The tool I use most often and to the most significant benefit is the ability to do construction take-offs without having extensive Auto Cad experience. In my experience bluebeam, is much better suited to these tasks than Adobe.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

When the program has new updates, sometimes it isn't easy to re-learn steps in the software.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can quickly do construction quantity take-offs. Before using this software, I often did them by hand, which was labor-intensive and usually not as accurate.

  ### 36. Bluebeam gets it done

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason B. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

For us, it's the ability to do markups, measurements and add photos effortlessly that makes Bluebeam Revu a great fit for our Engineers, Project Managers and our Estimators. The Estimators start the process and pass all of the information that they enter. Any markups or notes can be passed through the company to the following department instead of each department doing its own changes.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

The only dislike is the increase in price over the years.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A significant benefit is removing double data entry as the same document can be used throughout the entire company.

  ### 37. Great Document Manager & Collaborative PDF Markup Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

The markup tools are quick and easy to use, allowing for efficient and clear markups. Bluebeam Studio allows for cloud-hosting documents to allow everyone on the project team to review markups in real-time and indicate when the edits are complete.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

Like any software, there is a learning curve. The program is relatively intuitive for just markups, however it requires more advanced knowledge to set up and manage shared document sets on the cloud.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My project teams collaborate on Construction Document markups to coordinate among disciplines, conduct QA reviews, archive & monitor past edits / changes, and store documents for quick reference.

  ### 38. Bluebeam maximizes your options

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jorge M. | Assistant Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

The ability for Bluebeam to work with any file, provide areas, measurements, and overlays is undeniable that will help any Project Manager in their task. The intuitive sensor when taking dimensions and volumes is a key feature that gives the easiness required for any person dealing with tied constraints.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

Dont like the lag sometimes of files when the are overlaid.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Architect addendums are best reviewed when you overlay files and see the differences.

  ### 39. Expensive but great

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluebeam?**

Will fully edit all PDF files so you do not have to print, mark up, scan and then send. Has good features and is relatively intuitive to use. You can also buy it outright instead of buying yearly licenses.

**What do you dislike about Bluebeam?**

It is expensive for personal use. If you can get your company to buy it for you to use and load it on your personal computer that would be ideal.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluebeam:**

Easy to use but expensive to buy just as a PDF reader. Buy it only if you really plan yo do a lot of editing of PDF documents

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Eliminates the need to print, mark up and scan then email back. Makess PDF files easy to edit. In many cases I use it instead of ACAD to do quick sketches for design.

drawing reviews with owners, architects, engineers, conttactors
keeping up to date on all the changes

  ### 42. Powerful PDF tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2021

It has all the tools and then some. I have yet to come across an action I was not able to perform while in the software. I use it for plan mark-ups, manual creation, document collaboration, and just about everything document-wise.

It does take a little bit to learn. It would help if you played around to get a feel for what it can do. Of course, there are plenty of resources online to help with implementation.

**What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can do all my document management within one software, which is excellent. The previewer that comes with the software is a game-changer when it comes to time-saving.
