Tracking drafts and sent emails was very intuitive and I loved being able to search for exactly what we needed. After spending a lot of time drafting and crafting our content, we're able to use BSD to make the loading and production part of our job effective. For both creating mailing and sign-up forms, the platform is straightforward. It's easy to make quick changes and make sure things are updated and running smoothly. I also enjoy how easy it is to upload and keep track of graphics and images that we use in emails and backends. Managing the names and lists associated with each program is also very efficient. We can easily unsubscribe people or edit their membership on the list. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Blue State Digital? The process of being locked out of mailings/having to hop out for other people can be slightly inconvenient. Especially when it shows that someone is still in the mailing even when they are not. Sign-up forms would also be great if you did not have to save every individual question and could instead save and edit each one at a time. Recommendations to others considering Blue State Digital: The learning curve on Blue State Digital is very efficient, and your team will love using it. It is also pretty simple to teach and train others on using this platform. I recommend integrating BSD into your program for many reasons, but one of the main ones being how helpful and intuitive it is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Blue State Digital solving and how is that benefiting you? We are solving the problems that come with running an email program and instead using each tool to our advantage. We can easily target sections of our list and produce many segments of emails to help optimize our program. The benefits are endless, and Blue State Digital is my favorite email platform of the many that I have tried. We're able to track opens and clicks quickly right after an email has sent. Personally, I used it to send emails and host the sign up pages for those emails. We also used it to host the pages digital ads went to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you like best about Blue State Digital? Blue State Digital was easy to use for the most part with relatively intuitive design. But the best part was the ability to easily customize emails, templates, and page wrappers. I never felt like there were training wheels preventing me from doing my job. That being said, it might have been more difficult to use for someone who did not know HTML or CSS but I thought that was the best part -- it was a platform designed for professionals. BSD was no frills -- it didn't have a drag and drop editor for people who didn't know HTML (which for some would be a downside). But that meant I didn't have to fight as much against their template code. They allowed for significant customization that was relatively easy to achieve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Blue State Digital? I disliked the way their sign up form maker worked -- it was clunky and you had to save each question individually. You also had to hard code in apostrophes. BSD also didn't have the most powerful reporting tools -- was a process to find deliverability by domain name. But now that it's gone I'd take these quirks back in a heartbeat. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Blue State Digital: If it still existed I would recommend BSD in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, it was sunset on June 30, 2021. BSD provided a robust, affordable product to send emails and run ad pages from. I never used their advocacy tools, but I do know people enjoyed them. It's pretty user-friendly and can accomplish most desired tasks for new users and power users. A lot of the most important features are built-in and easy to find. It's reporting functions are limited, and the product is rarely if ever updated/upgraded. It was best in class for a while, but Action Kit has certainly passed it at this point.
