It is free Software for all hence anyone can use it and publish their work on the internet without taking aanyone's permission or a software license.

  ### 3. A Truely Revolutionary Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan T. | Head of Product and Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Blender?**

Blender is the free alternative to so many workflows. I like the ease at which it allows me to create 3D scenes, import/export into almost any format, and seemlessly work with 3D and 2D animation.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

There is a long learning curve with the software. You really need to spend a good amount of time doing YouTube tutorials to get a feel for what is possible and build ;muscle memory' for shortcuts and options.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blender is the solution to my 3D workflow. I use it for modeling, animation, and texture creation. Things that would previously take weeks can be reduced to days, and proof of concepts can be often times put together with a client.

  ### 4. Great 3d modelling tool for beginners!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rishav R. | Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Blender?**

Blender is a fantastic tool if you work on 3d modeling, sculpting, 2d animation, and 3d animation. The best thing about Blender is that its free of cost for anyone, but this is not the only good feature that makes this software one of the best in its class.
Some of the amazing features of Blender are:
1. It is an open-source platform.
2. Simple interface, great for beginners.
3. Long list of valuable tools to make your renders look super realistic and surreal.
4. Constantly improving with regular updates.
5. Can export into different file formats.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

Though there is nothing to dislike about this amazing application. Blender keeps improving with software updates weekly if not monthly.
But if i have to point out something then it would be the glitchy and slow performance of viewport.

**Recommendations to others considering Blender:**

If you want to start working on 3d modeling, sculpting, or 3d animation and looking for a simple and affordable tool, Blender is your answer.
You can start with a simple step to step follow tutorials to learn about basic tools, interface, 3d physics as well as create something amazing (i will recommmend Andrew Price's Donut Tutorial series on youtube).

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a graphic designer and sometimes require basic renders for mockups and animations for my designs. About two years back i was looking for a good 3d modeling tool for my work. I tried both Blender and C4D and Instantly realized that blender is far more simple, affrodable and suitable for what i am looking for. It is good for beginners and Free. And to this day, i feel the same and prefer Blender over other 3d modeling tools.

  ### 5. 5 years experience in working with 3d Blender

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miroljub Z. | Free Independent M.Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Blender?**

At first glance it doesn't seem like Blender 3D is anything special in the world of 3D applications, but it's not.
Blender 3D amazing serious and complex 3D creations suite.
What can be done in 3D Blender and what are its outstanding and versatile capabilities.
There are no boundaries, everything is a universe inside it and you can do just anything, simply no limit in creations.
Blender 3D is one of the best modeling and advanced sculpting tools.
Everything you need with animation, rigging and simulation.
Probably best compositing and motion tracking, also video editing and 2D.
Finally Blender is a public project, free to use for any purpose forever and open source.
With Blender human ingenuity and heaven alone is the limit, if it has.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

Is too artistic and design maybe placed with a specially processed plug-in to obtain the dimension and the engineering such CAD applications have.
It's quite unusual and difficult to master and embrace the way it works, so because of its complexity, it takes a long time to get used to and embrace working in it. The latest versions go to improve all this so that the intuitive and logical interface is getting better and better

**Recommendations to others considering Blender:**

per aspera ad astra

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Through the visualization and materialization of objects
addressing material selection and lighting for interiors and facades of buildings.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

There are not much to dislike for me but still wanna share some feedback.
1) Sometimes modifiers gets a little bit stinky.
2) If you are working on a large details project then Blender shows a little-bit lag.
3) One thing which I do not like in Blender is if you Load your Factory Setting then you will lose your current file unless you have not saved them.

**Recommendations to others considering Blender:**

A blender is an Awesome Tool. So, Full recommendation from my side. People who are looking to enter the 3D world. This is the best application.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Now I can trace my ideas into 3D concepts. I usually use Blender for creating 3D Gaming room concepts. With the help of this, I can finally design the things which I want to set up in my room. This is also very handy in 3D modelling. I don't have a Vacuum tab but still, I can create 3d Characters with the Mouse only.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francesco S. | Titolare, progettista, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Blender?**

Blender is one of the outstanding outcomes of the Open Source philosophy.
The application is open-source and free, and attracts a vast community that constantly expands the program's capabilities.
From 3d modeling to final renderings and video, Blender can do everything at a professional level.
The number of add-ons developed by the community is impressive and ranges from libraries for architecture to material libraries, from acoustic simulation to compositing nodes.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

In the recent versions, the interface has changed. On the one hand, it looks more similar to commercial 3d modeling interfaces, thus appearing more agreeable to new users. On the other hand, users can be puzzled, though, because the old interface looked awkward at first but was somewhat effective and swift.

**Recommendations to others considering Blender:**

Don't be frightened by the interface, and look for help in the forums. The community behind Blender is simply great!

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blender is an excellent application to working out design concepts and showing them to clients. Since it's free, it could be run at once on several machines, allowing for building flexible teams not limited by the number of software licenses available.
Blender runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux systems and can import/export in various formats, allowing it to fit in almost every kind of workflow.

  ### 9. Just getting into 3D modeling? Blender is the way to go!

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Blender?**

Blender is an amazing 3D software tool that enables users to build/design just about anything. The UI is pretty easy to learn and there is very huge community support. You can learn just about anything you want through many different message boards and video tutorials. Being community supported, there are updates and add-ons that that happen continuous. One of the greatest things about Blender is that it is Free. Some off the add-ons you can get will cost money but they are not necessary to have in order to use the software. They are products created by users to simplify tasks.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

There isn't really much I dislike about Blender. It is an amazing 3d modeling sofware that is free. The possiblities of use are limitless.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Blender, I have taken objects from thought, into a 3D perspective. I am able to create and design fantasy ships, buildings, and even items that are usable in real life with 3d printing. Using Blender to design and then exporting the file as an .stl, you can take it to your 3D printer and print it out.

  ### 10. Opensource 3D pipeline designer, with powerful features

Very powerful engine to render 3d Images, import/export into almost any format, the best tool for learners/beginners in current market.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

Learning takes a bit long time to get used to, nothing else which i could dislike.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Designing and then exporting the file to almost any format, Eg., We can print it out on 3D printer straight away.

  ### 11. Feature Packed and Free

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hentry S. | 3D Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Blender?**

Its free..! with an great community and hundreds of tutorials.. Blender is the most powerful Modeling, Animation, And visualization software out there. cycles and eevee can produce excellent results without any 3rd party renderer. blender is evolving fast and the latest updates made blender more user-friendly, and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

Blender is a bit hard to learn.. especially the keypad shortcuts. it will require some time to get used.. but when you get better.. you can almost do anything. another problem is the reliability.. blender crashes too often.. especially when you are doing huge projects

**Recommendations to others considering Blender:**

If you are looking for a low cost fulyl featured 3D modeler, Animator or 3D Renderer and you are ready to put some effort to it.. blender is the best option

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mainly use blender for Architectural visualization works. I also do product renderings, animations, and NFT designs in blender. From video editing to furniture design, blender is my go-to software for almost anything !

  ### 12. Highly capable, but small in size

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erdem B. | Senior Industrial Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

Blender is open-source and free but as capable as any other expensive competitor. And the support from the community is immense: You can find many answers to your problem anywhere on the internet after a brief search.
Blender is constantly in development, so it frequently gets better and better. If you are not satisfied with its features, you can find countless add-ons that serve your needs.
Another thing I like is that it has a portable version. I have it on my USB stick to use with any computer that can run it whenever I need it.
Embedded Cycles and eevee render engines are very powerful and fast.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

Some mid-versions are wildly different from each other. It might get tricky when you are a fresh learner. Navigation is quite unique but difficult to get used to if you are switcihng from another 3D software.

**Recommendations to others considering Blender:**

Just try it! No entry costs! It would help if you were patient while navigating; it improves over time.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it mainly for modeling concepts ideas for industrial design and architectural projects. I also use its fast rendering engines to creat quick visuals for my client.

  ### 13. Simple with endless possibilities !!!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mossabber C. | Guest Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Blender?**

Elegant & straightforward UI with cutting edge effectors & modifiers with open source projects!!! What can you expect from a motion graphics software that provides one of the best output with minimal efforts and vast libraries of stocks and modifiable plugins!!!!

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

Migrating from another solution to this would be a fuss for an experienced animator since the operations are a bit different and from conventional ways. Plugins are python based and chances to use others are much dificult.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blender 3.0 introduces grease pencil to use 2D into 3D environment with easy rigging and easy manipulations. Added mixamo plugin to directly import rigged, animated characters to use in the scene with skins and not. Basic sculpting and texturing got easier than ever and rendering using external Vray and others are still a plus point.

  ### 14. Blender is the Swiss Knife of the industry. It can do everything but there are limitations.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Garvit G. | 3D Artist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Blender?**

I like that it is open-source and accessible for all. I can do everything in it that is required to make animation, game, or VFX.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

The user interface, although it is not much complicated but a person who used software like Maya or any other industry-standard software first. It is pretty uncomfortable for them.

**Recommendations to others considering Blender:**

If you are new to the industry, you must try your hand on blender but take it slow. There is so much to learn.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can do everything in it that is required to make animation, game, or VFX. As it is free to use, I can use it to make money as a freelancer without thinking about the cost.

  ### 15. Almost does too much! Steep learning curve but totally worth it.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David W. | Head of Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

the amount of updates that come out for this software are impressive without being continually bombarded for updates and not knowing what they are. Blender does so much it is like having a dedicated machine all for 3d rendering, desinging, 2d animation, character models, texturing, animation etc etc etc. It is amazing how much this software can do.

This runs great on an M1 Mac.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

There is a steep learning curve and menus upon menus, with tiny icons. The software does assume you know what you are doing rather than having inbuilt tutorials like the Adobe software suite. There can be updates that mean a tutorial or method you followed now is done in a slightly different way, which means that some resources I have used and loved are no longer applicable.

**Recommendations to others considering Blender:**

Go to Udemy and get a good quality tutorial from someone trusted and follow this carefully! MAke sure any tutorials you are following are for the version you have as otherwise you can be left very confused. Start slow, take breaks and make notes as you go.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I teach the students their first professional software, and the output in just a few hours is seriously impressive; this is their first intro to professional software and integrated packages.

  ### 16. One of the best 3d modelling softwares

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharique R. | Photographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Blender?**

The best part is it is a open source
software which is officially free
downloadable at any of the os platforms.
It is a big blast with small package ie it is
very small in size. It has all the important
features which are required in 3d
modelling and it keeps on getting with
updates.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

The only thing i dislike is its user interface
is quite complex and you might take some
time to get a hang of everything. Maybe
they should simplify it more. But anyway
you'll learn with time

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

l use blender for 3d modelling and
photogrammetry. I use it to trace live
objects and model it out with every detail
deliver it to the client as per the
expectations. I make custom nfts too

  ### 17. Best tool for 3D modelling

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brighton M. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

Blender is an easy and well-documented application. It offers excellent in-built render engines that work well on most machines. The Eevee render engine makes it easy to render scenes using low power and memory while producing high-quality renders quickly. The cycles render engine is world-class and will give you high-quality renders that can work for any industry, including film. Blender also comes with support for multiple plugins, and being open source makes it easy for one to customize plugins to their own needs. It comes with a rich marketplace and tooling that can reduce the time for completing various workflows. For game developers, blender supports the development of assets for all major game engines and integrates well with other 3D platforms. One of the top features of Blender is the animations. It has support for developing high-quality animations for both 2D and 3D workflows. It comes with support for animation suits like rokoko suit, allowing you to work with real-time mocap recording directly from the animation suit to Blender. If you are looking for a platform to develop fluid simulation, then blender is the place to be. It has easy setups to start with for fluid simulations giving you a basic smoke simulation with a few clicks.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

The one thing still challenging with Blender is cloth simulations when working with models of clothes from other software like Marvelous designer, while the task can be done it still takes a bit more work to complete. There is room for improvement in Blender's direct integrations with game engines to improve the workflows and reduce the adjustments one might need when moving things from Blender to a game engine like Unity. Node-based texturing is ok but not as good as with other software dedicated to this. Cycles render engine while it produces high quality renders it does take up a lot of memory. There is also a need for improvement in lighting management. A lot of work still needs to be done to manage lighting unless you have purchased a commercial plugin to handle this for you, but out of the box, it still requires a bit of work. The sculpting for blender still takes up more memory, and if this is improved, it makes it easier for designers with lower-end machines to do sculpting work in Blender.

**Recommendations to others considering Blender:**

This is a great tool to start your 3D building experience in. The resources to start are many, the community is large, and best of all, it is free to use.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Blender for developing 3D models for use in-game engines like Blender. Blender helps deliver high-quality 3D work. I have been able to build games and apps in unity that use models developed using Blender.

  ### 18. The Best Professional 3D design package for 3D

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yaniv G. | Freelancer Designer for 3D Printing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2016

**What do you like best about Blender?**

A small package that has almost all the tools I need to make something 3D.
You can do modeling, sculpting, retopo, animation, rigs, shape keys, UV, simulations, cloth, VFX, compositing, video editing, rendering, shading, and a lot more!
It has 3 different render engines, and all this in a small package and totally free!

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

People afraid the UI so they just look from a distance but don't want to jump to the water...
The new 2.8x UI is far more comfortable so it's the best time to switch to this amazing software.

**Recommendations to others considering Blender:**

Don't be afraid to jump in!

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Can make complex 3D models for 3D Printing and have the flexibility to build the design freely and make it parametric whenever I want.
for me, this is the best software to design for 3D printing.

  ### 19. Blender the best thing that can happen to you in life.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan Manuel G. | Penetration Testing Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Blender?**

blender is a very powerful 3D design software my favorite function is the new engine that is being used for rendering since it completely eliminates the noise of the scene it is great the software is very complete even being free but this is because blender is made by the community which is amazing, you can make 3D objects, video editing, 3D and 2D animation, create video games, 3D construction in nodes, etc, and the best thing is that it is open source.
it may take a bit to get used to blender but definitely worth it.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

This software is excellent no is nothing to dislike at all. I have been using it for years, and it never gave me any problems, you may have to change hardware if you have a slightly obsolete one, but you can always go to previous versions since it has an excellent backwards compatibility system between previous versions, but not very previous ones.

**Recommendations to others considering Blender:**

For this software I mainly recommend patience since it has somewhat complex tools such as nodes since it is necessary to save each of these that the tool offers you to be able to create incredible things in the same way it is a very good software and I recommend it 100%

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my time using blender I have done all traditional 3D design in nodes or sculpted, 2D and 3D animation, video editing, procedural materials etc, all this implemented in organic and non-organic designs either for a short film or a scene or render,

  ### 20. Creates 3D Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liz H. | Community Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

The blender tool is free and can integrate well with other tools and add ons. It is so in-depth and has an impressive amount of details. It is much better than competitors as it allows you to experience the world of 3 D without having to pay right away.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

Sometimes it glitched when editing and rendering can be slow. This also has to do with the strength of your own computer though. It would be nice to be able to use it with no problems on any computer.

**Recommendations to others considering Blender:**

Just try it! You literally have nothing to lose!

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to create custom images for my projects. I have created great images and increased my knowledge of modeling. I am adding a skill set to my resume and will be able to do 3D designs on a contractors basis if I keep it up.

  ### 21. Need VR support for sculting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cesar Emilio V. | Desarrollador de software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

-It does whatever I want like a pro.
-Is light to download and install.
-Is free.
-Open-source.
-Is constantly improving.
-I can do with my UI whatever I want to do.
-I can use it in linux and is very easy to install.
-It isn't as demanding as i would spect, you can actualy work even without GPU.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

No sculpting with VR controllers. Tablet to VR > mouse to tablet. This is the next big step, the difference is not only inmense but it will be much more funny and also will give Blender an edge in front of the competition for now. I hope that they not only made FULL VR suport but also create new sculting brushes specially for VR. VR have great pontential an will atract so many reviews on YouTube and will atract a grea amount of people, I woud use Blender just for fun in VR.

**Recommendations to others considering Blender:**

If you want to sculp, you need a least a mouse, never a touchpad, and if you can, get a tablet, and if Blender supports VR in the future, that is the best.
Don't be overwhelmed at the start, it looks like it has so many controls and seems so complex at the beginning, but in reality, it is easier than it looks. You just need to follow some tutorials, and you will get the thread of it. Don't be mistaken by its price it is an incredible software and can do what the more expensive ones can.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I usually design and modify games assets. I am also learning to sculp.

Blender is easy to use for beginners. There are many free tutorials online and on YouTube for the novice to watch and easily pick up the tips and tricks quickly. Results are amazing.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

Blender can be slow to load on my current laptop at work. The slow loading times may be due to the requirements in storage space and graphics cards that my IT department may limit on me.

**Recommendations to others considering Blender:**

Blender is an excellent resource for new users who want to show off their fantastic creativity.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my role at work, I have to create some creative visuals or graphics that may not easily be found online through google image search. With some simple creativity, I can use existing images and craft a final product that looks amazing.

  ### 24. Designing with Blender

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anaïs V. | Profesor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

I love the very practical way it has to generate new elements and connect them with each other, the great variety of materials, renderings, and even the handling of lights and cameras.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

I really don't see any problems, it has a great set of floating windows for various tools that you should get to know little by little until you adapt to its environment.

**Recommendations to others considering Blender:**

I recommend the tool for all those game creators who are looking to create their own graphic elements!!!

  ### 26. 3D Artist Blender Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sherif G. | 3D Visualizer and Animator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Blender?**

Everything related to 3d Modeling and animation its the best , especially that we can use it to sculpt like zbrush but for free .

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

Need more pipeline integration to import skp and max file

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Am always using blender to get 3d data from google and to model my archviz objects and also to add material

  ### 27. The best free 3D software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis Ernesto v. | 2D/3D Artist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

Blender is the best alternative for any 2D and 3D artist or content creator, its texture node system is highly understandable, it has a quick learning curve for anyone who researches with passion, and its animation system is perfect and fast, not to mention "computational simulations it offers, both manual and automated."

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

Blender could be expanded to fields of measurement precision for more precise projects. Otherwise, it is almost perfect.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My work with Blender is regularly focused on art for creating characters, texturing them, and animating them. I regularly use simulation to create artistic and organic effects. If you use ZBrush for organic modeling, Blender is the best free option.

  ### 28. Another example of when open-source is the best choice (open-source flagship of 3D software)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel P. | CTE District Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Blender?**

Robust, open, and very well supported. The best thing about Blender is the amazing community behind it that drives an astonishing pace of development and flexibility!

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

Animation has been a bit more manual and complicated than on some other platforms, but this is rapidly changing. More sources of assets would be valuable.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used Blender heavily in college-level instruction in 3D modeling, animation, and architecture. I have seen Blender excel in areas as diverse as compositing experimental medical imaging to validating construction project engineering with aerial lidar photogrammetric data. The flexibility to be molded to meet the needs of any bleeding-edge industry is where Blender's open-source approach becomes a tremendous asset.

  ### 29. Just Amazing !!!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Md Shahidul I. | Data Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Blender?**

Open Source application, free for all, best viewport, comprehensive options of simulation, sleek & fast rendering, fast and accurate sculpting, wide range of object types importing and exporting

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

viewport navigation in Touch UI without a mouse is a pain; switching from another platform is tricky as the interface and usability is a bit different

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

generating CGI with my cheap laptop on the go and blender is giving me its all for my best effort

  ### 30. Blender is easy-to-use software with almost all the necessary tool required for an effective design.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pawan K. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Blender?**

Blender helps to design complex images/frames with the help of all the tools available. One of the best tools I liked was the light adjustment tool, which gives real-life designs.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

Blender is a little slow while doing High-quality rendering of Videos. The best way to render a video in the existing scenario is to render images instead of videos directly

**Recommendations to others considering Blender:**

My advice is to use the complex design from other easy tools like CAD and then import the STEP file into the blender.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used Blender for creating animations of my different products. I used too many various tools to make it look realistic and also imported STEP files from other CAD softwares for better design.

  ### 31. Blender is an excellent 3D software that is always updating.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ian C. | Marketing Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

I like that blender is constantly innovating and updating. The software is easy to learn and free to use. There are many great developers creating add-ons that are well worth purchasing to enhance the software.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

I wouldn't say I like that it gets a bad rap for being "free" software. It can be easy to learn as long as you put in the time to learn the software. Some great people teach it for free on youtube, but then there are some awful ones too. Make sure you find someone that you enjoy learning from.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Blender to place products on photos. The ability to match the camera angle and lighting help make the 3d items match the image. Since the software is free, it allows us to spend money on 3d assets.

  ### 32. Open Source Power

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2016

**What do you like best about Blender?**

The development speed is really what I like about it. The level of progression on each new version is inspiring and having fluid simulation, smoke, particles, rigging , tracking and a tons of other high end features in an open-source software is superb. The fact that it runs on Linux, OSX and Windows and it is so small in size, its mind blowing. I gotta say that a lot of times I rely on Blender to solve production issues simply because it is really fast and light.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

What I dislike is the lack of full node integration, but apparently that is coming eventually, so I will just hold tight! It is really a great app.

**Recommendations to others considering Blender:**

Really spend some time watching some webniars and tutorials available at blender.org, they are really great sources of knowledge and if you are uncertain if it is worth investing the time on it, just watch some of the shorts produced in the last few years, they are a statement of quality and it stands tall side by side to any payed solution.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

3D Modeling and Animation.

  ### 33. Open source Modeller

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mahmoud o. | Mechanical Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

Doing 3D models, importing Cad format and exporting your models into different formats and extensions which make it really flexible to be used. Also, it is free for use to everyone anywhere which really convenient for others

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

Troubleshooting. What I mean is finding the reason of a certain issue you are facing through modelling is quite annoying since there is no clear path to troubleshoot hence wasting time to find a solution.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating 3D models, doing meshes for objects by importing them as Cad format. You can adjust these meshes easily in order to increase the accuracy and after finishing this process, we integrate these models with other programs in order to do different analysis related to our field.

  ### 34. Free 3D Modelling!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris C. | Safety Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

The prospect of being able to build my own 3D models for 3D printing, as well as VFX editing abilities.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

It's VERY complex. My first attempt at following a Youtube tutorial to animate a lightsaber blade took about 90 minutes for 2 seconds of footage. Although that was only the second time in my life I've touched the program...

**Recommendations to others considering Blender:**

It's not something you can just jump into. If you're new to 3D modeling and rendering, you're gonna want to watch a lot of tutorials and learn the hotkeys. It takes time to learn, but I think it's worth it.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm not exactly solving business problems, as it isn't my business, but a hobby on the side. That said, I may be able to sell 3D models for printing if I get up to quality following tutorials.

  ### 35. Blender is the best 3D software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mihail (Mike Kaplunow) C. | CG Artist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

I like that Blender combine inside your software a lot of different apps. You can not only to build 3D models, but to texture it, to make animation, to render, to edit your video, and to compositing your image

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

It really fast, and I would love to have it even faster

**Recommendations to others considering Blender:**

To easy make the best game assets use some additional addons like Texel Density Checker and LoopTools

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm working in Blender with game assets and also render Ads

  ### 36. The Fastest way from your brain to real world 3D models

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

The best thing about Blender is that it is a free and open-source 3D modelling and rendering software. The biggest advantage of this software is its UI and the simplicity that is very convenient for users to design and render models easily. It also provides the ability to 3D model, rig, animation, UV, texture, etc...
The Preview window is one of the fastest rendering engine as compared to other software. It's simple yet powerful in animations also. Has an inbuilt user library which supports the entire pipeline which allows you to create anything without relying on paid software. Another major advantage is that it supports multiple rendering options like Eevee and Cycles.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

For beginners, the learning curve is a bit stiff also.
Also, the GPU performance is not that optimized.
The UI sometimes feels cluttered when working on bigger projects.
The formats supported by blender are somehow limited as it doesn't have export links for other 3D Softwares, also the software lacks light mapping.
Don't have a fluid simulator that can be cheery on the cake.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to configure libraries, add-ons.
how to optimize the model so that simulation doesn't take much time.
also how to optimize the performance of the software.

The benefit I have realized is that it's an all-in-one package for beginners to intermediate designers.

  ### 37. A very good and free 3D graphics rendering program

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jay G. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Blender?**

A large number of functions and tools intended for the designer

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

Complicated interface for a novice user. Hardware configuration

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can easily create graphics and 3D animation for my clients

  ### 38. The program that everybody should learn how to use.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emre Can H. | Android SDK and App Developer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

The most significant advantage of it is that it is free software. The main program itself has many features. And if you can't find the feature you are looking for, you can search it in the addons and install it with a push of a button.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

I can't say I dislike it, but it is like a double-edged sword where because there are many features and they are at the pro level, it is hard to start for beginners.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Blender when I need 3D model for the AR projects I'm working on. Before buying more expensive 3D models, the blender can be used for fast prototyping aswell

  ### 39. Complex but Easy to Learn

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan H. | Youtuber, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

I love using Blender to make 3D animations of products that I am reviewing. Viewers love being able to see and rotate all sides of a product.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

Blender is challenging to learn, but I learned everything necessary to make 3D images proficiently by watching YouTube instructional videos.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making product images into 3D animations has seriously stepped up my review game.

  ### 40. Powerful for everything about 3D Modelling and animation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Animation | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

Blender can be the perfect answer for all your needs regarding 3D modelling and Animation. It's free to use and very powerful when it comes to handling creations. The best part about blender is its flexibility with how files and extensions can be worked out. Works perfectly well with different features like texture, UV and other options.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

The amount of GPU that is required for a slightly bigger project can be painstaking at times. Blender becomes resource-demanding when it comes to rendering. Beginners to 3D modelling might also find it difficult to learn Blender at first and the learning curve for the same may be a bit too demanding for ones with limited knowledge.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blender overall is the perfect tool for 3D Modelling and Animation

  ### 41. Easy to learn, not so much to use...

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amir H. | Business Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

I like how easy it is to get started with as a new animator\3D model designer. It has (pretty much) everything you'd need to be able to use it professionally.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

While it is easy to use as a beginner, that's where it starts getting not so good.
It tends to lag a lot (and even freeze at times), the UI is quite confusing, and rendering takes forever (even on a $3K computer).

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Blender, I've been able to offer my customers device mockups and other 3D model animations, as well as use it to create advertisements for my business.

  ### 42. Seemless

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zachary M. | Academy trainer , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

I like the capabilities given and all of the options to be able to create our graphics and graphic ads for our projects and clients. It worked really well and was seemless

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

The ability to communicate with other creators would be a huge add on , to help each other collectively collaborate on a team basis and even just get insight from other designers

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating really in depth ads and graphics for our clients at a necessarily high depth quality. Solving working with multiple platforms to create on graphic and the ads

  ### 43. A 3d model designing tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kenil V. | Junior Software Development Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

- Easy to start designing 3d models.
- It is free to use.
- Tutorial is available for learning.
- We can work with lightings.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

- Can integrate more extensions.
- It is not useful for gaming.
- Optimizing the effect is quite difficult.

**Recommendations to others considering Blender:**

- You have to visit documentation and some tutorials to start building 3d models.
- I recommend using this for learning purposes.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- We can create models, textures, and animations of that models.

  ### 44. One of the best opensource project I've seen

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** RTB R. | Founder & CEO, Computer Games, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

This is a free and very handy tool to use in the multiple industry. Ive been using blender for almost 4 years.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

This is widely popular among artists but for some industry limitations it's still not considered as industry standard. But overall its awsome.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I ve been using blender for mostly 3d projects such as Modeling , Small Architecture and Animations. Also it has some other function as well. I use this tool for some of my Vfx projects to.

  ### 45. Its Amazing that Something this Good Could Be this Free!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Judson H. | Electronic Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

My favorite thing about blender is just HOW MUCH you can do with it. From character modeling to architectural design to video editing, rigging and more the possibilities are endless!

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

Blender occasionally has memory issues and bugs with certain types of files. Like all donation-supported applications, Blender is looking for more donations and talented programmers to widen its file support and improve its memory footprint.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used Blender for everything from video editing to game character building and now am using it to design custom machines.

  ### 46. Powerful tool at zero cost.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike K. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

Blender is my favorite 3D modeling tool because of the unlimited functions it has, using it correctly the sky is the limit, blender is so advanced and complete that if you wanted to learn everything about the program, it would take you years to do it, I like the ease of being able to create 3D models with great ease and keep track of the changes made, it is compatible with 2.5D also which is quite a lot and the best of the best is that it is complete and absolutely free.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

One thing that is a bit annoying is that the shortcuts change every time there is an update, it is very annoying because I have to learn them all over again.

**Recommendations to others considering Blender:**

The most complete and free software for 3D modeling

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With blender I have been able to make 3D modeling easily and for free, it is not necessary to pay for someone to teach you because there is a lot of information online for you to learn by yourself, it has also allowed me to create advertisements, scenes and animations for the company I work with and generate me a great extra income.

  ### 47. Your best bet for 3D design

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reverend F. | Pastor, Religious Institutions, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

Blender is quite extensive in its ability to edit objects and video sequences and has more features than I'll probably ever need.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

Too many options in the menus to find the things I need to adjust most in the settings.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blender was the only 3D editing software I could find for Linux that had enough features to create something professional-looking, without spending a pile of money. Now I can design objects that would have cost me a small fortune to buy.

  ### 48. Easiest and free to use 3d modelling tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Subrata S. | VR Developer , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

Blender is a great tool it is easy to use and has a simple UI, it provides multiple tools and feature sets which makes it using very convenient, and best of all it's free which makes it the best tool for beginners. Blender is great for not only animation but also for game design and development the tools and feature set really do cover everything.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

blender has a simple UI but since it's open-source compared to its competitors it lacks in a lot of things especially someone coming from using that has to really need to grind to get through it.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since its free-to-use blender really helps in the cost-cutting and since its open-source, the community has a wide reach which really helps tackle some problems. Blender has some really great texturing and shading techniques which helps in eliminating the use of external render.

  ### 49. Blender Gurus Input

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Digital Mouse H. | 3D Environmental Artist

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

It's powerful all-around decent modeling software with plugins, can compare to any professional software.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

Sculpting is Weak and is in need of an overhaul it's getting better but still needs plugins to compare to ZBrush. I hate ZBrush as its workflow makes no sense. it's Cumbersome in that regard where the blender is nice and open layout making seeing what you're working on easier. If I have to choose in between a few nice features that Zbrush Offers over Blender. Like with Zbrush you can sculpt in it but can be used in animation at all someone still has to come in a retopo. Whereas in Blender no retopo and can buy plugins to never have to retopo.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Modifiers are so Powerful that they save hours of work they are like filters for 3D models have not seen it elsewhere a ton of retopology filters a beveling to entire model or vertex groups insane have not seen that in Maya and personally I don't know why pro studios even use it. The modifiers and open source code should be enough for any studio to switch over more are though because they are realizing the power of modifiers. Also have modifiers for creating multiple models at different resolutions.

  ### 50. EASY UI/UX for Beginner in 3D - Highly Recommended

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aldo W. | Customer Service, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Blender?**

Still the best free open-source 3D-Mod platform out there. The madly high number of highlights accessible makes it comparable to other people.

It's an extraordinary asset for 3d Modeling, chiseling top notch delivering, and movement and game making.

The way that you can do all that inside one single programming speeds up the entire work process, without agonizing over import/fare and record designs.

The people group is immense and heaps of instructional exercises and modules are distributed consistently. Bugs are fixed rapidly and they're continually chipping away at new, better and quicker forms of it.

**What do you dislike about Blender?**

Its interface isn't just about as easy to use as I might want, subsequently the expectation to absorb information is somewhat steep at the absolute starting point.

**What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This product is extraordinary for the fan, the individuals who are on a tight spending plan, yet for proficient level outcomes to coordinate those of the generally settled organizations that exist, or to exist as a specialist with reliable assumptions to make models with numerical and useful capacity, in reality, Blender is essentially not the best programming to utilize,

For my situation, Blender is extraordinary amusing to play with possible thoughts before utilizing more specific CAD programming to make proficient level items/plans. Just as an exceptionally basic video proofreader, home activities, and school projects, the same has been demonstrated to be a simple errand with Blender.
