It takes away the questioning of if a regulator requirement, journal entry, or accont reconciliation has been complete. You create the task and sign off on when it is completed. While having the ability to attach support documentation to the task itself. **What do you dislike about BlackLine Financial Close Management?** The inability to duplicate what you've set in the sandbox into production without having to recreate or upload it into production. With FCM we now can have the individual assigned to the specific task, we can get a status of that and of course we will now see the completion of that tasks. I feel the Dashboard is very helpful and I like that it keeps everything organized. I like that I can view any outstanding/reconciling items and have all the supporting docs attached. We are still learning/integrating so I feel like there is a lot for our company to learn and add to make the software even more useful for our team. We use a lot of tasks, which is helpful to track our teams progress. **What do you dislike about BlackLine Financial Close Management?** As a first year user (our company just implemented about 10 months ago) the part that I wish was easier was when rejecting a rec, I wish there was an easier way for our employees to make corrections and resubmit. This may just be the way we are using excel and blackline, but making minor changes can take some time. Being able to take zero balance recons, and/or recons that do not change frequently and auto certify them. We also have been able to utitilze the matching function which has streamlined the process with more automation and no more tik and tie with spreadsheets. Tasks has been a game changer as well. Managers may log in and see where we are in all of our tasks and reconcilations at anytime. It's cut down on approving all of the items our department does with those types of items. **What do you dislike about BlackLine Financial Close Management?** I have not seen any downsides. It took us several months after implementation to modify our matching rules in order to get accurate and comprehensive matches in the recs, but now our process is much more streamlined and certifying reconciliations at month end occurs more quickly. We also recently implemented the reconciliaitons tool for all of our balance sheet accounts. This tool has helped us hold the team more accountable and our management now has clear visibility into the status of the reconciliations each period. I will say that while the trainings are helpful, the 3 hour classes takes up a lot of time. **What problems is BlackLine Financial Close Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are now able to move away from maintenancing many excel files, and for recurring reconciliations/items there will be time saved each month after the initial set up.
